Speaker 1 (00:06):
Welcome back to Bachelor Happy Hours, Golden Hour. Thanks so
much for joining us. We are so excited to be
back today.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Always excited to be back, and you will not believe.
We have two very special guests today. Please welcome our
former Golden Bachelor, Gary Turner and the best part is
his fiance Lana. Welcome, I got an hour.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
How are you hi, guys, wonderful you're doing great.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Yeah, so good to see you.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
I gotta say you make a beautiful couple.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
Yeah. I think we kind of do.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
So.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Oh god, she's pretty, she's real pretty. You've done well, Gary,
you've done well. All right, Well, listen, there's so much
that we want to get in today, so we're just
going to jump right into it. First, Leanda, we're going
to start with you. Tell us about yourself. I've learned
that your name is Lanta, not Lana, so that's number one.
Tell us where are you from? What do you do?

(01:04):
Give us the Give us your story.

Speaker 5 (01:07):
Yes, so I was born and raised in a small
town in Indiana, Auburn, Indiana, and spent my childhood there.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
I moved around a little bit.

Speaker 5 (01:16):
I lived in outside of Atlanta a little bit for
three years and then back to Fort Wayne, UH, and
then just about three years ago, moved down to the
Indianapolis area. I love it the children down here. So
I have three kids. I have my oldest daughter Rachel,
and she lives down by me here in Indy. I
have a son, Nathan Nate, he lives in New York.

(01:39):
And then my youngest Jordan, she is down here as well.
So she's a first year teacher. And so two out
of my three kids are around me. So I'm really
happy about that. And I have a grandson, Chef so Be.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
They're the best id. So tell us how you met?
How did you meet?

Speaker 5 (01:58):
Yes, I'm going have to breeve that because it's a
long witted story. But I watched his season. I watched
All of You, Beautiful ladies. That's the only reason I
knew of Gary and all of You is from the
show and all year by, and I don't know. Something
popped up on my phone about a friend request, and
it said Gary Turner, and so I thought, I don't know.

(02:18):
Somehow I thought I was already friends with them. So
I went to my computer and it said I was,
And so I thought, well, what do you have to lose?
So I sent him a message on messenger, and to
my surprise, he answered me and got from there.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
So wow, So what was your dating life before Gary?

Speaker 5 (02:41):
I had divorced about a year or so year and
a half ago, and so I was really just happy
to just you know, go through life, and I had
my grandson and my kids buy me. So, you know,
at some point I knew i'd probably meet somebody that
i'd want to spend my life with, but I wasn't
really in a rush. So it's I just knew whenever
it was meant to be, something would come my way,

(03:03):
and it was.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
It was fine that way.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
So the first meet was perfect, like the butterflies, the sparks,
and how did when did it start getting really serious.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
From the start?

Speaker 4 (03:14):
Yeah, you knew it, that was like from it from
the start.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
I mean, it's magical.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
It's getting close to eight months since we met, neither
of us has stopped smiling. It's it's like it was
that good right from the get go. And you know
you have to kind of be cautious and is this
for real and all of that, but man, it is
it really?

Speaker 2 (03:37):
And you've spent enough time together to learn each other's
habits and the annoying things. I mean, we are of
age now and things do annoy you. You know some
You got to know what you can work with what
you can't. So I guess you figured that out as
well by that.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Well, I'm guessing so since they're engaged, but I want
to I want to know. I have a couple of
questions here. How fast did you guys are talking about
getting married? I mean, I clearly are engaged, and we'll
get to that in a minute, but you know, it's
a it's a big jump from meeting someone to saying
would you get married? You know, having that conversation.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
Yeah, I think the question was would you consider getting
married again? And we both had to look at that
and answer positively before we move forward, And that was
really yeah, it's probably you know, two months ago, you know,
because you know, the consideration has to be there. It's
not like we're ready to make a decision on it

(04:34):
at that point, but we want to know if it's
on the table a possibility.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Well, did you talk about living together or it was.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
Oh, yeah, yeah, that was That was a bigger part
of the conversation because like, right now my house is
for sale. I may have it sold and so the
conversation has been, you know, Lanta, I'm going to be
parking my ass here, you know, for a couple of
months until we find a house together.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
And so you're staying with Atlanta right now.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
Yeah, well, like I'll head back to the lake house
today after, you know, at the end of the day.
But you know, we progressed from spending weekends together to
spending three days a week together, to four days a
week together, to the point where, okay, we were really
kind of pissed off and we weren't spending every day
of the week together.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
I want to see the ring. Enough of the talk
it care?

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Did you pick this up by yourself?

Speaker 4 (05:25):
Where's story?

Speaker 1 (05:28):
It's beautiful.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
Landa and I went to this jewelers and I had
a basic idea of what she wanted and what I wanted.
And then we went to London and Paris and I
saw the Eiffel Tower and you know, it was spectacular.
That night we woke up, you know, put the shades up,
and there it was sparkling in front of us. And
I came back to the jeweler and I said, I

(05:51):
want the side of Lanta's engagement ring to look like
the Eiffel Tower. I have good So there's you know,
the sparkle.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
You know, the yes, take a picture and send it
to my phone.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Please, Gary, take a picture. We need that.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
I sat down with him, I said, this is the
design I really want to have. Came back a couple
of weeks later. They executed it perfectly, and then so
I held that ring for well, I don't know, three
four weeks before I decided how I wanted to do it.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Well, tell us you didn't know, Lena, You had no
idea he got it. I had no feeling happened.

Speaker 5 (06:34):
No, I had no idea when he actually proposed that
it was going to happen.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Then that's the best part. I don't know how romantic
was the proposal.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
Where was it? What?

Speaker 5 (06:43):
Well, you know we had taken we have taken a
lot of trips, and so we had gone to Niagara
Falls about a month or two to ago, and you
know that being the honeymoon capital.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Everybody thought.

Speaker 5 (06:52):
I think when we went, that was going to happen.
Then I didn't, you know, I don't didn't know when
or when it was going to happen. But we we're
on another vacation on the way to Myrtle Beach and
we had stopped in Ashville part of the way there
to break up the drive, and so he did like
a little magic trick, and so there were some questions

(07:14):
that he kind of like guessed my thoughts, and then
there was another piece of paper that said will you
marry me? And I instantly where are you?

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Were you outside, were you in the car?

Speaker 4 (07:24):
Where were you know we were in the hotel room.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Did you have a plan? Gary?

Speaker 4 (07:28):
Oh, I totally did. I rehearsed the magic trick a
half a dozen times, you know. So I had two
solo cups and under one solo cup was forgetting them,
and so when I guessed the correct answer, then the
last post it note said will you marry me? And
you know we've kind of said that before, and I've said,
you know, are you going to marry me? And so forth,

(07:50):
and so she was kind of her attention peaked. But
then when I lifted the other solo cup that had
then it was like, yes.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
It gets emotional because you know, there's a lot of
feelings there.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Yes, I get it. We're so happy for you, We
really are, thank.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
You, so do we of course we are? Do you
have a wedding date. Are you planning a wedding and
am I invited?

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Yep, absolutely, we'd better be there.

Speaker 5 (08:21):
That we really haven't talked a wedding plans yet. I
think we're just sort of basking in the engagement and uh,
you know, working out some details as far as his
house and.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
So, yeah, well they got a lot to do.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
Yeah, but it'll come.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
So but you know what, even that you didn't set
the date, just knowing and wearing that ring and you're
being together, that's that's the best part.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
Yeah, what did your kids say?

Speaker 4 (08:46):
Well, so before I asked her, I showed the ring
to her oldest daughter, Rachel, and I showed the ring
to Angie, and I said, just giving you guys the
heads up this is coming. And they both wanted to
have some kind of a setup where all the family
was there. And I'd asked the question and they'd come
out of the woodwork and and I go, you know what,

(09:10):
it's not going to work. So I kind of went
my own way with it.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
And good for you. Yeah, I know your daughters are
very happy for you. Don't talk to them, you know, Lana,
we got to get to know your daughters now.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
And so yeah, they'll be thrilled. So yeah, everybody's ecstatic.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
So it's it's so exciting. So this question for both
of you, both of you are recently divorced. How is
that to have people said to you you're you're together

(09:49):
too soon? Talk to us about that.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
I can answer that for my side.

Speaker 5 (09:57):
When I introduced my Gary to my kids, and you know,
they just saw us interact early on, and my oldest
daughter lives closest to me, so she has seen it
from the get go, and my son in law, Noah
as well. And so when we started talking and they
kind of like, mom, how serious is it? Like are
you serious with him? And I'm like, yeah, it's serious, guys.

(10:18):
I mean we pretty much have fallen in love.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
And she goes, I knew it. She goes, I could
just see it.

Speaker 5 (10:23):
And they both said they knew from the start that
we made a good couple. And they said they were
the same way. They said, when you meet somebody and
you have those feelings, you just know, and they said,
we knew it with you guys too, from the from
the start. So no, for them, they're like, no, it's
not too soon, it's not too fast, because you just
can tell when you met the right person.

Speaker 4 (10:45):
And you guy, and for me, you know, I don't
want to sound disrespectful at all. I don't think of
myself as being divorced.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
What marriage.

Speaker 4 (10:56):
It was such a short time and it was, you know,
in an artificial environment that yeah, I have to stop
myself and say, yeah, you know what, I am divorced.
You know, it's not like I'm that guy that was
married forty three years and then did nothing. I am divorced.
But the comment of it being too soon has never

(11:18):
come to me. You know, that question has not been asked.
There are some things that are timeless, you know, and
I think one of them is when you meet the
right person, you don't even think about where it fits
on the timeline. It's just when it's right, it's right.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
And Gary, you're we talked about it on the show,
this whole thing of if you love someone, you'll make
it work. You guys are living proof of that. Your
house is for sale, you're moving to Indianapolis. You want
a house with the pool so you can have your families.
You've made it work. And I think that is so
obvious listening to you guys talk.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
And what they want and they're taking action. It's happening.
There's no stalling, there's no second guessing. You're one hundred
percent in And god, you guys are great. You're giving
me goosebumps.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
Yeah, you're giving me. I wish I had it.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
How's it feel to be part of Bachelor Nation now
you are?

Speaker 3 (12:16):
Yeah? Well great, now I welcome it. It's a lot
of fun.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
So, I mean, does it feel weird you're dating your
hair engaged to the guy that you know we we
dated him before you did you know?

Speaker 4 (12:26):
Why? Know? Right?

Speaker 1 (12:26):
Yeah? Well, let's pure I didn't.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
Is that odd for you?

Speaker 3 (12:32):
It's all good.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
You know, I kissed him one day. I'm just saying.

Speaker 5 (12:38):
I must proceed then, so I thought it all. You know,
you just kind of have to know what comes with
the territory. And I know that about him and I'm
okay with it.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
Yeah, And that's being secure who you are. Yes it.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
So, so how did you celebrate after you got engaged? Like,
did you get back in the car and keep driving
to Myrtle Beach?

Speaker 4 (13:00):
Well? Yeah, I mean we spent the night. It was
pre planned to be there that night, and yeah, we
went to Myrtle Beach and we met up with some
of the pick a Ball group that you guys met
at the wedding. Yeah, we still travel together and do
a lot of stuff together. So yeah, and then we
spent I don't know, was it eight or nine days
in ten days in Myrtle Beach.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
Nice so Gary being on the water, and she obviously
in Annapolis there's water. Are you thinking about buying something
towards that end? Are you leaving Indiana or you know?

Speaker 4 (13:35):
You know, family is here and so she has two
kids here, a grand grandson, and I got Angie close by,
and we keep working on Jenny to come to this area,
you know, to relocate there. We both had houses with
pools and plan honestly, that's where we want to get
to is we want to get to a house with

(13:56):
We don't want a huge house, you know, we don't
want to overburden.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
Me eat it now.

Speaker 4 (14:00):
Yeah, but we kind of want the pool. So that's
what we'll start looking for.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
Okay, where what area? That's what I'm saying, Yes down there, Okay.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
Westfield is where lives now, So Carmel Westfield, Fishers is
where Angie is. So it's all closed.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
How far is Jenny from you? I know, she's a
couple hours maybe.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
Yeah, from from where I live now. She's on the
other side of Chicago, so it depends on traffic there.
You can make it in as little as three and
a half hours, but sometimes it'll take five hours.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
Wow, So that's a height.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
Wasn't it three plus hours from the airport to get
to your house to the lake house?

Speaker 4 (14:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (14:39):
Yeah, okay, So obviously we are so thrilled for you too.
But I don't know if we can talk about it,
but your book that is coming out. I first of all,
someone sent me an excerpt from the book where you
said you wished you had misjudged me. I mean, this
podcast is all about making that you had misjudge me.

(15:02):
Everything is, But I just want to say a lot
of my friends reached on said, do you know that
he said he misjudging I said, yeah, Gary called me
right after the wedding, after you know, after that all happened,
And so thank you, Gary. I wished i'd gotten the
roads too. I just want to I just want to
acknowledge that that was very kind of you to say
that you look forward.

Speaker 4 (15:24):
Did you get the excerpt in the book where I
say I misjudged and I wish I could have done
it different, and I'll just say zip it to that.
Did you get that excerpt? Okay, yeah, I hope you.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Didn't talk about guess I just I just read. I
had so many friends. I don't know where they got
it from, but so many people said, you know, he
really didn't hate you. I said, I know he didn't
hate me, but it was just funny when I got that. Yeah,
you know. I mean, I just still want to say Landa,
just so you know, Susan got a gift from and
everyone got gifts one on one, yours truly got absolutely nothing.

(16:02):
It's not too late, though, Gary. You could send me
a signed copy of your book, for example.

Speaker 4 (16:08):
And notice how she's not at all bitter about these things.
She's very.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
It took a minute. It took a minute. She's doing
way better.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
I mean, he came to it, census. It's all good.
He's found the woman of his dreams who's absolutely gorgeous.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
You guys look great together, I know, right.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
Wow. It's just so trips coming up? Anything, any plants
coming up?

Speaker 4 (16:31):
We are going to Montigo Bay in December. We're going
to San Diego for the Pickleball National pickleball tournament. Wow
coming up?

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Okay, So we got to stop and ask you, mister
Golden Bachelor, Gary Turner, there is now another Golden Bachelor.
Have you guys been watching this season? What do you
think about this?

Speaker 2 (16:53):
Have you compared yourself at all? At any moments like
I remember that moment? Oh that was hard?

Speaker 4 (16:59):
Yes, that is That is exactly why I'm watching is
you know, I know what it feels like because I'm
the only guy on earth that's been there before him, right,
you know, in our age group, and you know, early
on I you know, I've watched the shows and I go, Okay,
I'm not hooked yet. I'm not hooked yet. And as
time has gone by, I've become more and more interested

(17:22):
in where he's at, especially now when he has the
difficult decisions to make. You know, he's down to two,
and my heart went out to him, you know this
week when he went from three to two?

Speaker 1 (17:33):
Who do you think he's gonna pick? Gary? I I
can't say veal to us.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
You're having to watch it. You're a female. Talk to me.

Speaker 3 (17:45):
I'll tell you what I could. It's a toss up.

Speaker 5 (17:47):
I think both ladies left are wonderful. They seem awesome
in different ways, but both very genuine and you know,
beautiful women.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
You know, I don't know. I kind of have a
little of a favorite.

Speaker 5 (18:01):
I stop Gary sometimes and ask him, you know, what
was going on for you?

Speaker 2 (18:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (18:05):
Yeah, So a lot of comparison is just kind of
from getting his point of view of knowing how that is.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
But I have to ask, who do you think I
want to know? Landa, Who do you think he's going
to pick?

Speaker 3 (18:16):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (18:17):
If you had to guess, there's only two.

Speaker 5 (18:20):
Love both women, but I love I think PEG's energy
is fine.

Speaker 4 (18:26):
That was going to be my answer to.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
But Garry, you were so emotional. I remember tears and
us bonding afterwards like it's okay. You felt so torn
and you felt bad letting people go. Not that he didn't,
but he didn't show it like you did. There was
a difference for me.

Speaker 4 (18:45):
I couldn't I couldn't keep that in. You know, still
today when I watch him have a rose ceremony, I
get a lump in my throat.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
Sure, I think.

Speaker 4 (18:56):
About you, guys. I think about Kathy and Susan and
Nance and Joan and on the line, I really do
you guys I don't know that we'll ever be able
to get together as a group again, but believe me
in my heart, give a will a wonderful, wonderful bunch

(19:16):
of people.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
We love you too.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
I I've said to Susan, Uh, those two women, the
last two who you know, we've met them. They're both
lovely women. We don't know who he's going to choose,
but they're so different. And Susan and I feel like
we are like peg. We are the you know, energy outgoing,
never walk into a room and everyone's your new friend.

(19:42):
And and Sydney's much quieter, uh sensitive palace, and they
seem so different, and I don't know. I just think
it's that's got to be an impossible choice because they're
so different, and he seems and.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
With Debbie, Debbie, she should be the next golden bachelorette.
Who should say something Pard I'm sorry, Kathy after Kathy.

Speaker 4 (20:10):
Never give up the campaign, Kathy, just keep pitching. Keep
one of these days that ship's gonna land for you.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Oh Gary, you have no idea Off record, I'll tell
you a bit about my recent dady in life. You
don't even want to hear, but I want to. I
would we cannot finish this without asking how is your health?
You know you I think I told you scary. I
have a friend who has the same diagnosis, which can
you believe that you have? He's doing great. Uh, he

(20:38):
went to the treatment. He's cancer free, he said. You know,
his doctor just said, you know your old age is
going to get you before this, But how are you doing?

Speaker 4 (20:45):
And I'm hoping that's the same for me. You know,
the doctors say that until I have three or four
of these specific symptoms that there is no treatment. You
just keep going. You get six month yeah, blood tests,
and away you go.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
How do you feel? Do you feel any symptoms or
just feel normal?

Speaker 4 (21:05):
It's like, I feel pretty damn good before it's supposed
to feel, but you feel a lot better than the
average good.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
Yeah, that's good.

Speaker 4 (21:14):
But I want to share one thing with you. When
you know Lana's sitting here so gorgeous and sweet and everything,
there's a very sensitive side to her. And our first
date at dinner, you know, there were several things she
did that I thought were very thoughtful, But about halfway
through the entree, I thought it was only fair to
bring it up to her that I had cancer and

(21:35):
I'm into the starting to give her this explanation. She goes,
I've already researched it. I'm flying her five. Oh my god,
that is so awesome.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
So well it was common knowledge, public knowledge, and she's
not jumping in thinking not we googled peoplea gar, it's
two thy what Google?

Speaker 4 (21:58):
You know? Are you talking like that?

Speaker 2 (22:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (22:01):
Now let me after after get Google down, Gary, then
you're going to start learning about AI. Well, we'll give
you the two darning lessons.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
I love my jet. I'm so happy to see you too.
The smiles are so genuine, I mean, just a twinkle
in her eye and her ring.

Speaker 1 (22:29):
I mean, seriously, I gotta say, bachelor, it's all about,
you know, the thing, trusting the process, finding love. But
all kidding aside to see you too. Both of you
have had you know, you've had divorces, You've had issues
in your life. Gary, you lost a wife. To see
people at our age, all right, Lenda's a little younger,

(22:52):
but still finding to find to find your a little bit,
to find someone that you love and and see you
guys happy together really should give everybody hope that love
is out there. You can find it. It just you know,
sometimes it hits you when you least expect it, and
you guys are living proof of that.

Speaker 5 (23:13):
Yeah, and the show did work because I wouldn't have
known if Gary had it not been for the show.
So in the run way, the show really did work.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
Yeah, Okay, I have a question for both of you
and I one at a time. What's your favorite thing
about Gary? And Gary your favorite thing about Blama?

Speaker 1 (23:31):
That's part that we can talk about.

Speaker 4 (23:37):
Good qualifier. My favorite thing about her is her eternal
positive attitude and energy and smile. She's never never down, never,
She's always like and every time I feel a little
shitty about something, I look at that smiley face and
I go, get your ass up. So what's yours?

Speaker 3 (23:59):
I want to know Gary's heart.

Speaker 5 (24:02):
I mean from the from the very beginning, obviously knowing
he was the Golden Bachelor, you know it's a big deal.
He was, uh you know, huge, and so meeting him,
I really went into it just wanting to know his heart.
And you know that just shines and he's and you.

Speaker 3 (24:18):
Know, as you know, a loving person.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
Oh is it is it? Lanta? Is it different? I'm
sure when you guys go out, uh, you're recognized, how
does that for you.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
I actually am braced, like, wait, I got to get dressed.

Speaker 3 (24:39):
You look for it, I.

Speaker 5 (24:40):
Kind of look for the look, and when they see him,
I'm like, oh, you've been noticed.

Speaker 3 (24:43):
Over there or whatever.

Speaker 5 (24:44):
So he's very gracious, as you know, and he won't
turn down a photo op or you know, to talk
to talk to somebody about you know, the experience. But
I actually don't mind it at all. It's kind of fun.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
So and I know, so have you families met yet,
the kids meet the kids.

Speaker 3 (25:02):
Yes, everybody gets along. It's just it's magical.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
Really, it's just truly, I'm honestly listening to you guys,
to your story, looking at the love between you. It
really is a magical story. It truly is.

Speaker 5 (25:17):
I mean from the get go, and they just haven't
let up. So it's yeah, it's you know, it's fate.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
Gary, I know that feeling.

Speaker 4 (25:25):
I do think it's really really nice how well our
families have blended together. I mean, you know, my daughters
they're rambunctious, and we're not your daughters hers are too,
so it's not like there's a problem there. They go
right along, get along well. And we've had a number

(25:45):
of family events back and forth where they.

Speaker 1 (25:48):
Were waiting for our invitation. We want to come out
and see you guys, We want to come out.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
Wait, we tried Gary. You thought Fred was up here.
That's how we were going to get together that week
get and I was like, he's in Saint Martin. Kid,
we got Lena. When you look at Jen and have
conversation with Jen, do you just see him all over?

Speaker 3 (26:10):
Yeah? She's very much like Gary. She is, you know,
so she's a veryl of.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
Fun is they are fun? Ladies love them?

Speaker 2 (26:24):
So do you have any questions for Kathy or I?

Speaker 4 (26:29):
I don't follow along as much as I used to.
I guess what's going on in the relationship area for
the two of you.

Speaker 3 (26:40):
You know, I.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
Would love to date. I'm not dating anyone, but I
would love to, you know, anyone. Gary sent them my way.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
You too, And for me, I have a long distance
relationship that so far is working nicely. So we'll see.
It's it's not easy much more distance than you two,
you know.

Speaker 4 (27:01):
Yeah. Yeah. So the other thing I would ask you
is of all the travel you guys do, and you're
very busy, what's been your favorite thing to do in
the last six eight months.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
Answer that what coffee talk in our rooms with coffee
talking shit her not. It's so much fun.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
I mean it is fun. I will tell you, Garry,
when we're together, I just turn on. I don't know
if you saw it online Landa. Maybe you did our
luggage falling out of the car.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
I mean Kathy causing the luggage.

Speaker 1 (27:35):
Kathy did not have the car whatever, but hi story,
I would say the most fun thing. Susan and I
took a cruise to Greece this summer in Istumbles, and
I will tell you it's always the same for me,
meeting people, you know, sharing our our fun times with

(27:55):
other people in our story and having other people go.
You know, I got up off the chair started living
my life because you and Susan have given me hope.
That's been the most fun for me.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (28:06):
Did you guys get recognized in Greece?

Speaker 2 (28:08):
Yes, yes, Istanbul I was.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
I was amazed when we got recognized at the top
of the Eiffel Tower.

Speaker 2 (28:17):
Yeah, yes, take I'm sorry it sticks in Eiffel towers.
My granddaughter's dream and I was supposed to take care.
She's turning thirteen next month. We were leaving September, and
my boyfriend, who was French, said no, no, no, darling,
you don't go September. They pickety, they march. They're trying

(28:37):
to overthrow the governor president. Whatever he goes not a
good time. And sure enough I saw it all over
the news and Bella was extremely disappointed. But we're going
to do it in the spring.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
I have to say one more thing, Gary before we
let you go. Lana. This is for you. Gary has
come a long way. The first night, and Gary, you're
not going to remember this. The first cover station we
had in the mansion, you asked me what I like
to do about travel, and I said, my dream is
to go to all seven continents. I love to travel.

(29:12):
And you looked at me. Do you remember what you said?

Speaker 3 (29:14):
I do not.

Speaker 1 (29:15):
You looked at me, and you and this before I
got trash, you said, you said to me, you know,
I don't think we would necessarily be a good fit
because I don't really want to go overseas. I like
traveling in the United States too, you know, do you
remember saying that to me?

Speaker 4 (29:32):
You know, it's it's proof that I can.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
And that's why I said this is for Lana. He
has evolved. He is a man of the world. He's
a renaissance man. So whatever you've done to him, Lanta,
yay you Gary, you're not stuck in the lower fifty.
Good for you.

Speaker 2 (29:49):
I mean he's never still, You're never home. You're as
bad as Cathian night. So you love it? Do you
love it?

Speaker 3 (29:57):
I love to travel. I love to seeing places.

Speaker 5 (30:00):
Then yeah, we've got a lot of bucket list items
to check off.

Speaker 1 (30:05):
And you know what, you're going to have a lifetime.
You have years to do it all because that's you
found each other and you deserve a lifetime of happiness,
both of you.

Speaker 4 (30:14):
Thank you well, Kathy, that was very nice of you
to say thank you.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
I mean, just give me real quick before we get
what is on the top of each of your bucket lists.
Just one thing.

Speaker 4 (30:25):
I want to go to Switzerland, okay, and I want
to cruise to Alaska.

Speaker 1 (30:29):
I've done both of those. Of course, yes, I've done
both of those trips. That's one do you recommend if
you if you had to pick the next one, I
will tell you I have cruised to Alaska and did
the the inland passage and went to Mount McKinley, uh
Dnali now, I would absolutely do the Alaska for Switzerland's beautiful,

(30:51):
but you know you can yodel from any mountain.

Speaker 2 (30:55):
Way. Look, we got to hear it.

Speaker 3 (30:58):
I cannot do it under pressure.

Speaker 5 (30:59):
But my heritage is Swiss.

Speaker 3 (31:02):
Yes, so that's where my answer.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
I mean, it's Switzerland's beautiful, but Alaska is. It is
spiritually moving. It is an unbelievable trip. Lanta, I can't
believe we didn't ask you. Do you play pickleball?

Speaker 4 (31:16):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (31:16):
Yeah, I definitely since I've met him kids, you just
learned with players.

Speaker 3 (31:23):
So I came into the sport from that angle and.

Speaker 5 (31:26):
Had always wanted to play. I just didn't really have
a partner or anybody to do it with. So yeah,
I'm all in.

Speaker 2 (31:32):
So how about golf?

Speaker 1 (31:34):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (31:34):
I golfed too. I'm not very good, but I have fun.
So it's just fun.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
Do you guys golf together?

Speaker 2 (31:40):
Have you go?

Speaker 4 (31:41):
We've only played golf once together. Guess who we played golf?
So Lanta just had a foot surgery so she couldn't play.
This week, Angie and I Rob and one of her
friends in Lanta, we all went and played golf what
Wednesday night?

Speaker 3 (31:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (31:57):
Yeah, And it was like coldest ship and you know
we're out there playing and of course you know Angie
about the second hole, she comes back with fire, the
small fireball.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
That's why we love Angie, That's why we love.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
Yeah, I love it. She's my god of girl, and
I do love both of you. It was such a
pleasure having both of you. Thank you for sharing with us.
I feel it, both of us in our hearts. We
want to congratulate you, wish you the best, and we
have to see you again, you know that.

Speaker 1 (32:31):
And if and when you do plan that wedding, which
I'm sure you will, uh, I will be there. Just
happy to see you guys be together for the rest
of your days.

Speaker 4 (32:43):
Absolutely, thank you, thank you, And of course we do
know someone who you know can.

Speaker 1 (32:48):
Uh just you know we're going to be this Wait
a minute, wait a minute, excuse me, she's already done
it once. How about let me get certified and I'll
be your officient.

Speaker 2 (32:57):
No, Kathy, just stay in your lane. I don't have
day in your lane.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
I can do anything I want, sus And that's the
joy of.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
That You're not going there. And with that being said,
thank you so much for joining us.
