Speaker 1 (00:06):
Welcome back to Bachelor Happy Hours, Golden Hour. Thanks for
joining us. We are so excited to be back today.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Hey Susan, Hey, he's always excited to be back and today.
Wait till you guys see who we have. We have
a very special guest. Kay Brown is here with us today. Hik,
Welcome the Golden Hour.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
You guys. I've been waiting for this moment. I'm not lying.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
They asked me to come on. I think it was
a week ago when I was out of town. I
was like, we have to make this work. I have
to see them. I know we've done podcasts before, but
I'm your guys' biggest fan.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Susan watched you on gott to get Out.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
Absolutely no notes, loved, I mean absolutely no strategy, but
one hundred percent vibe. Kathy, you were my favorite on Paradise.
I thought you should have taken the five hundred thousand.
So I am here as a fan.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
And maybe an maybe a redo. Cay, we'll do a redo.
We'll do already, maybe I'll think about it. Okay, we
have so much Kay that we want to dive in,
so let's get started. I want to know what you've
been up to lately. Catch us up. The first question
I have, other than what else you've been doing recently,
is I have to ask, first off, what's the deal

(01:14):
with Jared Freed and you killing the podcast? Tell us
the scoop? What's the scoop?

Speaker 3 (01:20):
You're gonna make me cry out on this podcast at all? No,
So we actually so.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
Jared is obviously amazing. He was on this season of
Golden Bachelor, which was honest, I was watching it like
I was watching like the presidential like it was. It
was amazing watching him on the show. But he's become
obviously huge. He has the U Up podcast, he has
his Netflix special, He's touring all the time, he has

(01:46):
his own podcast.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
It kind of just became so much that to.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
Balance everything, he also moved to Florida, so he's balancing
back and forth, and it just kind of wasn't It
was too much for him. And then so we're taking
the podcast right now and figuring out what we want
to do with it, because obviously I still want to
host something I love talking about The Bachelor. We're gonna
try to figure out how we're gonna come back for
the next season of The Bachelor atte which is.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Hope you guys. Wait, so there's hoping you guys will
be back.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
There's hope that I will be back. Jared TBD.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
I'm not sure what his plans are, but I am
definitely sticking around and and I've been recapping my own.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
Uh you know what, you.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Can bring your information to ours anytime you want. We
love a third party.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
Seriously, I love I love watching the two of you,
and especially seeing you on this season. It was one
of my favorite episodes you're seeing bringing the vibrators.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
I was like, this is cinema.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
There was so much, there was so much the best.
Before we walked into the mansion, I tripped and fellow
the bushes, I mean the whole thing.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
I kept screaming, video desk, get this on camera. You
have to know my girlfriend, Okay, as smart as she is,
that's how I'm believe she is. We have all these
gifts in our hands, and that one one of our
producers are going back up a little, Kathy, back up
a little for the shut.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
They wanted to take a picture all over this little.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Enough enough enough about Kathy, So moving right along, k
I want to know what you've been up to. Talk
to me about your life, because me falling into bushes
is not that noteworthy. What's going on with.

Speaker 5 (03:21):
You dating too?

Speaker 3 (03:23):
Right, So the dating situation is interesting.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
I'm approaching thirty seven and I am still single, which
is fine.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Not worried about it.

Speaker 5 (03:33):
It's totally fine.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Not worried about it. But I've had kind of a
crazy year.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
I obviously been dating, et cetera. But I had a
hysterectomy at the beginning of the year.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
I was that it was rough.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
I mean, it was very sick for like three years,
but it changed everything I had, like endometriosi, sidinamiosis, I
had fibroids in my uterus, so it's actually changed my
whole life. But it also has changed dating a lot
because I necessarily don't. I have never wanted kids, and
so this was an easy decision for my health. And
I was like, you know what, I feel very fortunate

(04:08):
to already know that.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
And I feel comfortable with that outcome.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
And I know a lot of women are struggling with
that and that's not something that they want. They want
to be able to, you know, carry their child. So
I am feel very lucky about that. But I just
my body part, well, I haven't, so I kept my ovaries.
I'm giving you guys a full blown like yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
We want it, we want but you're feeling healthy now right,
I feel like a pand new.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
I phound seventeen like friends out of the box and look.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Like a picture of health, a picture of helf.

Speaker 5 (04:41):
Look at her.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
I didn't.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
I didn't realize how sick I was until I had
that done and I came out.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
I was like, whoa, this is how people have been living.
This is normal, you know what.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
That's such a good point because you had lived I
don't know personally, but I know a lot of people
had your similar struggle and have your struggle, and it
seems like when you resolve it one way or the other,
it's like, oh my god, this is what life could be.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
It's a whole new world. That's a whole new world.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
But it does bring up a different topic with dating
and so because do.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
You mean do you mean the effect of not being
able to carry children? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (05:17):
And a lot of men want children.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
Hey I've got three, how many do you want?

Speaker 5 (05:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (05:22):
I know a lot of men want children, and it's
something that I personally can't give. So it's like a
tough conversation. Also to have at the beginning, But.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Do you want kids?

Speaker 2 (05:31):
She says, she didn't you know what age men are
you dating?

Speaker 3 (05:38):
A whole scale?

Speaker 2 (05:39):
I think forty five forty five year olds still want children.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
That's a little old, understand I mean, listen, we have
I have thirty eight year olds on their dating profiles
saying that they're figuring out their dating goals, which is
sending me in.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Sad ral What do you mean?

Speaker 4 (05:55):
How do you not know anything about what you want
at this point in your life?

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Because I have like a whole If you get.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Some late sixty year olds, could you send them my
way because you know they're going to take the youngest
ones I can get.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Listen, bachelor, I do not mind being sloppy seconds.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
All right, I have a question for you, what if
the man has children? Are you opposed to helping someone
raise their own kids or is that a no?

Speaker 4 (06:21):
I mean, it's definitely not out of the question. It's
I don't think it's my like ideal. But if I
meet somebody and that and I want to spend my
life with them, I feel like that's a compromise that.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
You would make, you know, but I don't. I'm not
ruling it out.

Speaker 5 (06:36):
It seems like a good catch, Kathy.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Yeah, you know, there's a lot of us out there.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
Soon introduce me if you know anybody.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
Excuse the line forms behind me again.

Speaker 5 (06:48):
You know bracket.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
So tell me you went to the UK?

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Yeah, I did. I lived in that. I lived in Scotland.
So where were you in the UK?

Speaker 4 (06:57):
I went to London and then I spent a few
day before in the Cotswolds at Soho Farmhouse and a
that was the most.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Expensive, like two nights that I've ever said. And then London.
I love London. I would love to live there, would too.

Speaker 5 (07:15):
Never need the food.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
I can't handle the food in London.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
No beans on toast.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Go to Scotland and get some hagis. So my niece
lives in London, just the first time she's engaged to
a brit And I mean, I love London. I also
could live there. I don't care if it rains.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
I don't mean either.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
I can do.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
I can deal with the weather, all of it.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Until you live there and you're looking for a sunny day,
you will miss it.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
You know.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
It is tough living here in la and go kind
of gloom me and I don't care, But then I
come back, I'm like, wow, this is kind of nice.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
So what were you doing there? Was it just purely vacation?

Speaker 4 (08:00):
Yeah, just for fun. I had a fling there like
a year and a half ago. I was like seeing
this guy. We were traveling back and forth.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
I know.

Speaker 4 (08:09):
Cool and obviously it didn't work out, but it was
really fun. And so him and I just met up
for for a Guinness a pint, if you will, and
it was so nice.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
I have the worst do you guys? I don't know.

Speaker 4 (08:24):
This is a personal question, but I left London feeling
so awful because I get like insane travel tummy.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
I can't go to the bathroom in the bathroom vacation.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
Oh no, no, no, that is a thing. I either
cannot go or I literally cannot get off the toilet
one of the other.

Speaker 5 (08:43):
I never had that.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
It's one or the other.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
My pants weren't fitting. I was like, there is something wrong.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Remember our season of The Golden Bachelor. Yeah, and the
gas if you will, And they said it was the
meat balls, and I said it was the guacamole I
have for you. My tummy doesn't like to travel either,
And it was backed up for a week and when
I got there, I was went to the I was like,
oh my god, they were trying to buy me prunes.

Speaker 5 (09:13):
I said, I'm not thinking that.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
No. Then it was like an explosion.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
It's so bad. It's so bad.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Okay, So now that we've discussed everyone's bottle habits, let's
move in season two of the Golden Match. Okay, we
we know that you met Matt. What thoughts when he
first got announced and when you met him? Let's start there.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
Right, Susan, I think you were there. We were both
at the Hulu party. They were, But when he first
came out, I remember thinking he was super attractive in
his sunglasses, remember the green and the Remember I remember exactly,
And I was like, man, this is he seemed charming

(09:58):
And I was like this man is ready.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
And I was like, maybe a little too ready. It seemed,
I don't.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
Know it, wait too ready for what KA like it.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
Was he seemed too polished, two good looking. I was like,
there's something there has to be something that.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
Have you been watching the season?

Speaker 2 (10:18):
K Of course, he looked very sure of himself that day,
very confident. And yeah, now as we watch him, it's like,
where's that guy?

Speaker 4 (10:27):
I also met him. We actually had a conversation at
this sofar. We went to a football game because he
used to play for the Rams and Bachelor Golden Bachelor
through that, and we had a conversation and we talked
about Jared and he is super charming, very very nice guy.
I'm glad I got to like chat with him and
get to know him before the season started, just a

(10:48):
little bit to have that kind of context, because it
sets you up because you know, you.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
Used to hear the podcast that he was on. In
the conversation I.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
Got, I got to direct that because my son went
to the University of Michigan. And as soon as I
said that, oh, what dorm did you live in? Let's
I mean, it was all about University of Michigan. So
you know I had he was.

Speaker 5 (11:06):
Comfortable and he was comforversation.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
What were your guys' impression of him? I'm curious.

Speaker 4 (11:11):
I know you guys were on the show and got
to meet him, what what did you think.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
Well, the day at the Hulu event, I had walked
up to him after he was announced and such and said,
I just want.

Speaker 5 (11:21):
To welcome you to the family.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
Yeah, and he said thanks, thanks, and he asked me
something I said, first and foremost, take the shades off.
I'm going to look in your eyes. And I think
I don't know if he was uncomfortable or I just
got a different feel.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
I don't know why be uncomfortable, Susan, get against that
wall and take your glasses off. What look was it?

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Let me see those It was like, Okay, you really
look good.

Speaker 5 (11:47):
I'm thinking walking in there. He did.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
He looked amazing and he still does look amazing. But
when I looked in his eyes, it wasn't like he
saw a ghost. But I don't think that the confidence
was he was comfortable.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Yeah. Do you think that changed when you met him
at on set?

Speaker 1 (12:07):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Between him and I, yes, he was much more comfortable. However,
what he on the show, I feel like he holds
back a lot.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (12:17):
Yeah, So wait, I want to know.

Speaker 5 (12:30):
Mel.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
You know, it's it's kind of an interesting journey with him.
But who are some of your favorite women on the
show and who are you rooting for? Because we've seen Mel,
we've seen his sort of struggle to really engage in
a way that we all can root for even though
we love him. So who are your favorite women and

(12:53):
who you're rooting for?

Speaker 3 (12:55):
I do want to say that.

Speaker 4 (12:56):
I said from I want to say episode maybe three
episodes ago, I had pegged well Peg and Debbie and
Cindy as top three, and I was very proud of myself.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
I was like, God, I felt.

Speaker 4 (13:12):
Something, and I think Cindy's gonna take it. I think, uh,
I mean, I think Peg is obviously going to be
the runner up because we already got down to the
last two. But I think Debbie is going to be
the next Golden Bachelorette if they do that.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
Ear no, kay, no, go ahead.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Kathy wants to do it, but it's not you, Kathy,
it's Debbie.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
How about Debbie? Me? I think it would be great
if you know, Debbie would be fun because she's never
been married. It would be a really interesting storyline.

Speaker 4 (13:45):
Here's a here's a compromise though. Okay, Debbie's the Bachelorette.
You two are co hosting. No Shade to Jesse, Love Jesse.
But this is just an idea. I don't know, throwing
it out there.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
That's right, there's there's room for Susan bias. Okay. Wait,
I have a question, though, what did you always have
them from the beginning.

Speaker 5 (14:07):
Of the season that's what she said.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
Cindy.

Speaker 4 (14:09):
Yes, not not all three. But I I had Cindy
from the beginning. There was just something about her that
felt like, oh, this is going to go in that direction.
They felt like a good match from the jump. I
was not expecting Peg to make it as far as
she did. But once we got maybe like to the
last maybe six or seven, I go maybe after actually

(14:30):
after her first afterwards.

Speaker 3 (14:32):
One on one day, I was like, okay, maybe prior.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
To that, I didn't think she was that into him.

Speaker 4 (14:38):
No, I didn't either, And I thought she was going
to be a little tough for him, a little two.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
But he's all about fun and h He's the definition
of the word.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
Yes, men are they just want fun. They went easy,
They want whatever.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
And it's like any furious, any of the eliminations shocking
to you, Like you were surprised that he sent so
and so home but didn't kind of fall into place.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
I was sad to see.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
I don't know if you remember her, but Monica, b.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
Oh, we love Monica.

Speaker 5 (15:09):
I love Monica.

Speaker 4 (15:10):
I was devastated. She was an icon at the roast.
She was so good at that roast.

Speaker 5 (15:16):
Now I have the big question tell me what you
think of the.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
Cole Nicole, Wait, we just jumped from Monica beat.

Speaker 5 (15:25):
It like the pause. I love the pause.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
Oh oh.

Speaker 4 (15:28):
Also, the other person that I was surprised about was
Jerry leaving.

Speaker 3 (15:32):
I didn't think Jerry was going to leave.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
Why? Why tell me why they.

Speaker 4 (15:36):
Had a connection and even the way he was like
he would kiss her and how they would like touch
each other where they were talking.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
They there was something there.

Speaker 4 (15:44):
I mean, I guess it wasn't as strong as the
other ones, but I did see something, and I don't know,
I thought, I thought that's funny.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
I didn't feel it. I loved Jerry. I didn't feel
I thought that. Yeah. I think my struggle has been
that I've said on another podcast. I feel like with
these last three, yeah, mel has whittled it down and
those three embody what he would like in his person.

(16:12):
So those three together, and I didn't see Jerry. But
that's interesting that you saw.

Speaker 4 (16:17):
Yeah, But Nicole, it's I'm kind of surprised, if I'm honest,
I'm surprised at how she was speaking what she was
speaking about, because I think.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
With this.

Speaker 4 (16:32):
We watched these reality shows now and obviously social media
is part of it, and it's very looked down upon
to talk about it while you're on the show.

Speaker 3 (16:43):
And so when she was talking about I'm like.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
Is she knew?

Speaker 3 (16:46):
Has she not seen anything? It was very surprising.

Speaker 4 (16:50):
I mean just completely was like, Yep, I want to
do my own cookbook. It's going to be not between
me and mel but me in America, and.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
I'm dating and put the originals of the first Golden Bachelor. Damn,
you don't put another woman down.

Speaker 4 (17:07):
Oh, correct the in her hating on the previous cast.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
That's us first of all.

Speaker 5 (17:15):
Yeah, I don't.

Speaker 3 (17:18):
Names out of your mouth, second of all.

Speaker 4 (17:21):
And then also when she was leaving and she was like, oh,
I know you're not going to end up with You're
not going to make it with this one, so call
me after and that's not.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
And I'm going to be the next Golden Bachelorette. I
think she took a wrong approach.

Speaker 5 (17:34):
I kind of feel sorry for her.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
I was angry at first, and now I'm going to
the point where I really feel like she doesn't know
what she's doing.

Speaker 3 (17:43):
I feel bad at all. It was very weird to
watch and kind of just.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
Well, did you see on the on the previews for
the tell all, and she says, I really had deep
feelings you. I'm like, did I go get a coke
during that commercial?

Speaker 3 (17:56):
I missed that the feelings for the feelings and room
with us.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Right now exactly?

Speaker 2 (18:02):
Or did you did you love Terry and Cyddy while
she was kissing all over him in the pool?

Speaker 4 (18:12):
It was at first went during that scene before we
had heard all of the other things. When that scene happened,
I was kind of on her side. I'm like, yeah,
why not, you're here, shoot your shot if nobody else's
that's not anybody else's fault, Like they should be doing
the same thing. But then when you get to later

(18:32):
in the season and you hear the comments, it feels
kind of icky.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
Okay, So I have a question. If you could have
picked a fourth person for Home Times, who would you
have picked.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
I I think I would have picked Jerry. I liked Jerry.

Speaker 4 (18:49):
I wanted to get to know her more. I liked
her and I thought she had a really good vibe. Yeah,
I think Jerry would have been in my.

Speaker 5 (18:56):
Top Where did you think of the hometowns?

Speaker 3 (19:00):
The hometowns were interesting.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
It's different, right, different.

Speaker 4 (19:04):
Because they went to the three different cities, but then
they came back to Bachelor Mansion, which was interesting.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
They usually do that, they do because they usually do.

Speaker 4 (19:15):
That come back to bat they usually have well like
maybe in The Bachelor and Bachelor they're.

Speaker 3 (19:20):
Like in an air hanger or something.

Speaker 4 (19:22):
Yeah, I don't know, it just depends, but yeah, they
came back to Which.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
Did you like the most of the hometowns.

Speaker 4 (19:29):
I think I really liked Let's see, I liked Cindy's
I just like I think I just like Cyndy and
mel and I liked Cindy's.

Speaker 3 (19:40):
Daughters beautiful, amazing. I also like, I think it was
Peg PEG's daughter. She's like a hard ass, really like Peg.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
Wait. Can I just say this has nothing to do
with anything, but I'm marveled at the fact that Dakota
Peg and her mother all have the same laugh.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
I know, you know what, I didn't even notice that
I need to come back and oh my god.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
They all laughed. It was like it was three laughing
as one. It was really amazing.

Speaker 3 (20:12):
That's too funny, too funny.

Speaker 4 (20:15):
But yeah, I think I just really enjoyed the families
in general.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
So that's what I was gonna ask you. What did
you think about the families. I mean, I liked the daughters.

Speaker 4 (20:25):
I liked how serious they were taking it and how
especially like Pegs.

Speaker 3 (20:32):
PEG's daughter Dakota was.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
She's like, I'm not falling for anything. Okay, she was
like I need to know why.

Speaker 5 (20:40):
She's like exactly, she says it like it is.

Speaker 2 (20:44):
And then when he came to talk to Peg afterwards,
she goes, isn't my daughter a blass?

Speaker 5 (20:48):
She's so funny.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
He goes, oh, yeah, we had such a good time.
Kathy and I are looking at each other. That wasn't fun,
but so Susan.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
Susan and I are watching this episode together, and he goes, yeah,
we had we had so much fun. I look at Susan,
I said, am I watching the same show if that
is fun? Because this guy keeps talking about fun. Your
mel likes fun. He wants fun, just like if this
is fun. I have a mortuary. I want to give
you a tour up.

Speaker 4 (21:15):
I have a few ideas, but I also don't want
to like skip out on Debbie because I like.

Speaker 3 (21:21):
Debbie's hometown a lot too.

Speaker 4 (21:23):
I like seeing her twin sister, and also I love
her entire story on never being married, being I think
that should be told more. And I think it's just
not a story we get to hear a lot, especially
on these dating shows in general, and.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
Exactly you know, it's funny. Yeah, I'll tell you.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
Okay. I've gotten some flack on social media because I
said that I would not date someone who had not
been married before h and boy did I take a
lot of heat for it. But the men that I've
dated who were never married, I think men are different
from women. I was about to say and that, and
the people that wrote me, I don't think they get that. No,

(22:08):
women are we are central, we are caring, We're built
that way. Men are just like steamrollers. It's about me.
I've never had to worry about anyone else. And and
so it was. I think Debbie is charming and lovely
and caring, and I agree with you one hundred her
story should be told more.

Speaker 4 (22:27):
And seeing her family and uh and just in her
like family, but chosen family because yeah, she doesn't have
kids or a husband.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
Or do you think anything to do with his decisions
because of the family are wholesome.

Speaker 3 (22:45):
I don't know. I don't know. I think that's that's
a good question.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
I I don't know, I don't.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
I don't think I know mel enough.

Speaker 5 (22:54):
I agree, doesn't let us know.

Speaker 4 (22:57):
And he's asking everybody else. He's like, I need an
know more about you and this and that. I'm like,
I don't know you, my.

Speaker 5 (23:03):
God, show me something.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
That's what Sidney gets to towards the end of this.

Speaker 5 (23:10):
Yes, like what what do you want? Like, I'm not in.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
Love with her, but I'd like to get to know
where it's episode?

Speaker 3 (23:19):
What I know I know? And who was it? It
was Carol who got sent home at the end, so.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
She went home. I would have so wait, I want
to know of the final two, who do you think's
got the best shot of ending up with?

Speaker 4 (23:40):
Now?

Speaker 1 (23:40):
Because I will tell you I've gone on record from
the beginning. I've said it with Cindy now watching this
episode this week and when he said that about the
three women all in body, you know the woman he wants,
and he's been very clear that he's unclear about what
he's looking for, right, so I would be surprisingly he

(24:01):
doesn't pick anyone, But who do you think he has
the best shot?

Speaker 4 (24:04):
That's a great hot take and would be an interesting
ending to this season. I do think it's going to
be Cindy, but because he does keep mentioning fun, there
is a chance that he could choose Peg.

Speaker 3 (24:22):
Yeah, it's it really is fifty to fifty.

Speaker 4 (24:25):
But if I had to put money on it, I
would choose Cindy just because.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
She do you notice that? Sorry, go ahead, go ahead?

Speaker 4 (24:31):
Oh yeah, just because she just seems she seems as
invested as him.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
Peg, I think is still on the fence.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
But let me say, every toast, Susan, I've talked about this,
every toast he's made with a Champagne. At the end
of the restaurant, he said, toast are fun and adventure,
and that screams PEG. So I'm with you. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
I always thought it was Cindy, But like I said
the end of the show this week, I see her
mind going and she wants somebody that can't live without her.

Speaker 5 (25:03):
He's not given her that. He's not. I can't seen.

Speaker 3 (25:07):
That yet yet.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
And it's over time, Kathy, what is he waiting for?

Speaker 3 (25:23):
Also? Peg?

Speaker 4 (25:24):
Though, now that I'm remembering this, she has also been
very from the beginning when their first conversation vocal about
wanting to have fun, like have fun, live life, and
they were talking about working and he's like, I'll work forever,
and she's like.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
And she doesn't want that.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
I don't know if I want that. I don't want
I don't want to work now, yeah right right, So.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
Yes, that's in the back of my head. Two k
she said, I want a guy who's retired and have fun.
He's like, fun, I'm never going to retire. I'm going
to work. So you know that gives me pause too.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
And he also said when they I forget which daughter
it was that said, when do you see yourself next
to my mom growing old in the rocket chair?

Speaker 5 (26:02):
I'm never going to be in a rocket chair.

Speaker 3 (26:04):
She's like, okay, whatever.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
Hiking, yeah, hiking, you know, climbing mountain, kill him and
Jarrow whatever it is. But yeah, yeah, no, I get that.

Speaker 2 (26:15):
And I realized that when they get to the overnights,
the women don't see each other. And I remember our
season how Gary told them both.

Speaker 5 (26:24):
That he loved them.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
Mel will not use that word because I don't think
he's ready to say it.

Speaker 5 (26:29):
I don't think either.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
Wait, okay, do you think it's you don't think he
loves any of them?

Speaker 3 (26:34):
No, he's not.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
Do you think it's okay? Do you think It's okay
if he at the end of the season. I know
the show's about love and final love. How do you
feel if he chooses no One? Instead of saying who's
he going to choose? What if he chooses no one?
What do you think?

Speaker 5 (26:48):
Ouch?

Speaker 4 (26:50):
I think that's better than choosing someone and having the fate.

Speaker 3 (26:53):
Of Gary.

Speaker 4 (26:56):
Ooh, Daggers and georg I think I would rather him
choose no One, then Gary choose some like and then
having Gary.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
Wait wait, I just wait. Wait. If if he chose
to get married and I could do the wedding again
with with Jesse Palmer, I'm in. I mean, if if
it's another divorce, okay, as long as I get to
be at the wedding and have a microphone, I'm good.

Speaker 4 (27:21):
Well, I need to be invited to the next wedding
in Palm Springs, and I'm very close.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
No, let's because.

Speaker 4 (27:29):
Lakin Lakinsa. I stayed at the Lakita. I think it
was last summer, maybe two summers ago. Very pretty.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
It might have been the most beautiful wedding.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
It's gorgeous.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
He made a statement about there were so many freaking
flowers there.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
I looked at Susan and I went there are so
many Roses at this wedding. There's not going to be
a damn rose left in Pasadena for the Rose Bowl parade.
It was that bad. Okay, Wait, I want to know
if if Golden Paradise two point zero happens, have any
picks from this season beyond me, which is from season one.

Speaker 5 (28:05):
So I'll probably no.

Speaker 3 (28:09):
Pel will definitely will definitely show up.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
She'll be sniffing underwear like April and oh Jesus my.

Speaker 4 (28:20):
My thought on Paradise is I've always thought this, when
you go to Paradise, you're either going to as a
redemption story or to ruin your reputation. It's one or
the other. You go on there, like what's uh Jonathan?
For example, Golden Child on Gens season, everybody was obsessed

(28:40):
with them, then comes on Paradise and he kind of
got shot on.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
Yeah, I had redemption, so yeah, I.

Speaker 3 (28:48):
Have a redemption arc. It's either one or the other.
So I think Nicole would go on.

Speaker 4 (28:54):
I hope Monica be goes on. Loved her definitely. If
PEG does not get picked, she will be on Paradise.

Speaker 1 (29:02):
She'll qu where are all the guys coming?

Speaker 4 (29:05):
From Yeah, yeah, I think we need another bring some
young ones in because I one of the things that
when I was recapping, uh Paradise, This Past Paradise, one
of the things that I loved about the Golden's side
of it was that I'm like, I don't need anybody

(29:25):
here to find love, Like I don't need the Golden
Bachelor and about trets to find love. I like watching them
experiencing all of this and having fun and building these
friendships because honestly, if I when I'm sixty five, if
I'm single, et cetera, I will be so set in
my life.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
I think at that point that.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
I won't we won't carry somebody else in.

Speaker 3 (29:46):
I'm like, yeah, that's the point.

Speaker 1 (29:48):
I love watching with so much. Yeah, I mean I would, yeah,
I would bring someone into my life, but I will
take You're right on the money, k It was such
a joy to you. These young ones experienced love, fall
in love, and for me to have those relationships for them, say,
you're right on the money.

Speaker 3 (30:07):
It was one forget to watch.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
They could have fallen in love had they brought some
more men. There wasn't a lot of men.

Speaker 4 (30:13):
Yeah, there wasn't enough. It wasn't enough Golden Bachelor men
on there. But I just I really loved the Goldens
were the best part of this season truly.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
Wait do you want to do you want to specify more?
Which goldens were the bat? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (30:27):
I think Kathy was a good do you know have
you heard of her? She has the strategy, she's going for.
Strategy's like, no, I'm going to win. She's like, Keith,
you're staying here, We're going.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
To do this. No, but no, no, no.

Speaker 5 (30:42):
To be clear, I love at the home.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
He decided to say that was not me. It was
but Keith and I were like, we're not taking the money.

Speaker 3 (30:54):
That was nice to do.

Speaker 1 (30:55):
I would never take money from young kids.

Speaker 4 (30:56):
You're better than me, because I would have been like, bye,
let me chee out, let me.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
Try peace out. I've got I've got that money. Being
a right.

Speaker 2 (31:06):
I know we're supposed to be talking about mel show
right now, but I have to say Kathy wished that
they really did stay overnight in that field with the
horse poop and the That was the worst night of
my life just watching it.

Speaker 1 (31:20):
I love loved it.

Speaker 5 (31:21):
What's her name?

Speaker 2 (31:22):
I felt so sorry for cat cat Oh.

Speaker 3 (31:25):
But I know I would have been home. I would
have been like, yeah.

Speaker 5 (31:28):
I'm eliminated.

Speaker 3 (31:29):
Self, eliminate self, eliminate. You would have seen loved in me.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
Loved people thought I was joking. Keith and I would
have spent all night in that tent. I loved it.
The camping was the best night of the entire time
in Paradise.

Speaker 5 (31:41):
Trust do you camp? Do you camp?

Speaker 3 (31:44):
Absolutely not?

Speaker 5 (31:45):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
My idea of camping is no phone in the room.

Speaker 5 (31:48):
Okay, That's the most I'll do.

Speaker 4 (31:51):
Is like we went when I went to Soho Farmhouse,
and we stay in this gorgeous cabin.

Speaker 5 (31:56):
With like that work that works.

Speaker 3 (31:59):
We're glamor or nothing. I just don't.

Speaker 4 (32:01):
I mean the girls when they first showed up to
the campsite in Paradise, they were in like their cocktail dresses.

Speaker 2 (32:07):
Yeah, yeah, thick they were dressed and fell over the table.
Do we remember obviously?

Speaker 4 (32:15):
I mean anyone, you're a great scene though, it was
a really great scene. There were a lot I liked
this season a lot.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
I'm getting back to mel now, well he's gone to
first here the women tell all I love that's my
favorite part.

Speaker 3 (32:33):
My favorite one too, my favorite, it's the best one.
I love the.

Speaker 4 (32:36):
Blow ups because every because a lot of people are
seeing themselves on TV for the first time and you're like, oh,
that's my haircut or that's what I was wearing.

Speaker 3 (32:45):
Let's hush it up. That's why everybody comes back in there. Yeah,
Oul glam. I love watching the glow ups and they're speaking.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
They're confident, and they feel better.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
Okay, we we've got to ask you all these questions.
I love the fact that you love Paradise. We all
love Meil. We want to refine happiness. But in a
few minutes we have left, we want to to you.
Do you have any questions for for us? Oh?

Speaker 3 (33:12):
Okay, yes, look at our let me think. I actually
am curious.

Speaker 4 (33:18):
I think I asked you a lot of the questions
while I was going on there. But when you showed
up for this season, uh like, for your appearance on
the show, did you have any input on what you
guys were going to do.

Speaker 1 (33:31):
With So I'm going to answer that one. We were
on the phone and Susan said, oh, let's bring vibrators.
I said absolutely not, and there we walked in with vibrators.
Is that answer your question? Yes, it's yes.

Speaker 2 (33:42):
The thing I hadn't fit about the pajamas, like we'll
color you.

Speaker 5 (33:45):
Get wait wait, wait we gotta wear pajamas? Can we
are our own?

Speaker 1 (33:48):
Or like right?

Speaker 4 (33:50):
I'm always I'm always curious about that because I love
seeing people from previous casts come back and interact with
the cast, especially you guys, because I see the two
of you from that season as sort of like I
would come to you for advice, like you were the
people who I'd want to come to for advice from
that season. So I was always curious. I'm like, do

(34:10):
they get to pick what they're doing? Like are they
or are they just told this is what we're doing,
or do you.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
Know they said we're gonna have a pajama party. We
want you to talk to the ladies, give them some advice.
You've been through this priar. You know it's gonna be
a great surprise for them because that particular night, Debbie
was on a one on one with mel and you know,
let's let's meet with the ladies and and and you know,
get them back feeling like they were, you know, because
you know how it is. It's tough, sure, And so

(34:35):
we came in well after I fell in the bushes,
we came in raring to go, and it was it.

Speaker 5 (34:41):
Didn't you think it was interesting? Kathy?

Speaker 2 (34:43):
When we first sat down with all of them, the
questions that they were asking, they were very excited to
see us. Yeah, yeah, I was taken back by some
of the questions.

Speaker 4 (34:52):
Is is was there someone or a few people that
maybe their personality surprised you or that you liked a lot,
or maybe didn't like.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
There was nobody I didn't like.

Speaker 5 (35:06):
They were all great.

Speaker 1 (35:07):
I chatted with Cindy because she's from Austin, and.

Speaker 2 (35:11):
Peg sat next to me from the get go, and
Peg shared that she was a little rough around the edges.

Speaker 5 (35:16):
She's used to being with all men.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
And I go, okay, Peg, all right, let's chill.

Speaker 5 (35:20):
Let's chill.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
Let's just try to be a little softer. And we
walked together on that that's who she is.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
Yeah. And then Nicole I taught chatted with Nicole and
she was telling me that a lot of the ladies
were asking her how to have make out lessons, how
to you know how to get deep kisses from mel
I'm like, listen, I'm single and I've been I can't
help you there. I'm like, I don't have the You know,
I don't have the ansterest for that one.

Speaker 2 (35:44):
He would have told that everybody's makeup in the house
and stuff.

Speaker 3 (35:47):
Nicole was getting along with everyone.

Speaker 5 (35:50):
Then it was early.

Speaker 3 (35:53):
That was a bit early.

Speaker 1 (35:54):
That was, but you know what, it was so fun.
I have to say being back in the mansion was
so fun in a strange way to sort of relive
and re enjoy without the stress, the feeling of being
in the mansion and just feeling what those what it
felt like to be part of such a you know,

(36:15):
a trailblazer first time ever and watching these ladies on
their quest for love. I loved it. With that being said,
that was so much fun. Thank you so much to
our wonderful guest, Ka. It was really great getting to
know you, hearing about your life and your travels and
all your opinions on everything Bachelor.
