Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey, everyone, welcome back to Veger Happy Hour.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
I'm Joe and I'm Serena, and.
Speaker 1 (00:06):
We are here with a lovely couple who actually got
engaged in Bachelor in.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Paradise with you and married.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
Well they didn't get married in Oh yeah, yeah you
did and got married in Bachelor in Paradise. That's true.
Marie and Kenny, welcome, Welcome to the podcast.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
Hi, thanks for having us, of course.
Speaker 4 (00:26):
Hi.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
Kenny's got the Chicago White Sox Chicago Bulls collab jersey.
I don't know how I feel about that.
Speaker 5 (00:35):
It's good and I I actually didn't like it at first,
but once I saw it in person, I'll get you on.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
You like it though, Okay, the Cubs just gave me.
The Cubs gave me the that baby blue jersey that
the rock in these days. It's pretty awesome. I love it.
What does that have your name on the back of it?
Speaker 6 (00:56):
No?
Speaker 4 (00:57):
This is an ery Okay?
Speaker 1 (00:59):
Nice? Nice? So what what do you guys? What have
you guys been up to? What's new?
Speaker 3 (01:07):
It's been a while. I feel like since we.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
Saw you guys went to Hawaii for Mary's birthday. How
was that?
Speaker 6 (01:14):
We just got back. It was awesome. It was amazing.
I grew up there for you know, my childhood. My
dad was in the military, so he was stationed there.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
For a while.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Wait, I didn't know that. I didn't know that about you.
I thought you grew up in Maryland.
Speaker 6 (01:26):
No, so I went to high school and college in Maryland.
But before that we were in Hawaii and I hadn't
been back in over a decade, and I've been trying.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
I've been working on this for a long time.
Speaker 6 (01:38):
Basically, I feel like since we got together, I've been
trying to work on Kenny to get him to do
it because the long flight time is like for him.
But we did it and he enjoyed it, so it
was worth it.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
Though.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
It was worth it.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
Right.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
What islands are? What island you guys stay at?
Speaker 3 (01:57):
We did a while hoo, okay, okay.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
What would you suggest for some of that's ever been there?
Speaker 3 (02:03):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (02:04):
Number one I would say is to get out of downtown.
Like Wikiki is the very touristy area where like all
the you know, pictures and stuff that you see, most
of it is there, but there is so much more
beyond Wykiki. You like have to get out and explore
the whole island.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Did you surf?
Speaker 5 (02:21):
No, we snorkeled. I had some issues on the boat,
like motion sickness.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
Oh no, did you get sick?
Speaker 4 (02:29):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Did you know that you're not good with like rocky
waters and stuff.
Speaker 5 (02:34):
It never I never had to hit me like that before.
It was it was pretty bad, but I was like
it was so fun.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
Like I was.
Speaker 5 (02:43):
I was just like trying to power through because I want,
you know, we wanted to do it.
Speaker 4 (02:47):
And that's at one point it just hit me pretty.
Speaker 5 (02:50):
Hard and I had like my bag that I had
to like throw up in for like ten minutes.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
There was other people also throwing the Yeah, we went
out to see like.
Speaker 5 (03:05):
To jump in where the dolphins are. They took us
out like a little bit. It wasn't like close to shore.
I don't know what it was. It just it really
got me good, but it was it was awesome.
Speaker 6 (03:16):
Besides that, Well, now I know for next time to
bring like ginger candy or something for that.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Did you guys go for.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
We were out there for a week? Yeah, I think
a yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
Yeah. And did you guys get matching tattoos out there?
I heard what so.
Speaker 6 (03:38):
They're both flowers, They're not the same though, yeah, not
exactly the same. So that's kind of like a tradition
we started. We every time we go to like a
new country, we do a matching tattoo. Uh this one
obviously Hawaii is not a different country technically, but we
did still get tattoos, and they are both flowers, so
they're not the exact same flower.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
You can see me see. Oh it's so cute.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
Oh you got it on your hands.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
Wait, what other tattoos do you guys have from the
countries that you visited together?
Speaker 6 (04:12):
So we have the shamrock here from Ireland? Yeah, yeah,
I see it, and then we got crowns from Norway.
We got the heart from Denmark.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
Where is it here? Mine's here.
Speaker 6 (04:31):
They're all small, Yeah, they're all little, tiny ones.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Well they have to be if you guys are going
to keep traveling.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
I know.
Speaker 6 (04:38):
The first ones we ever did were the palm trees.
Speaker 3 (04:40):
Actually, mine's on my butt cheeks for Paradise.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
Yeah, oh my gosh. So do you decide what you're
going to get before you go to the country or
is it like once you get there you just see
how you feel, like what you want to do? You
just do you just like walk into a tattoo parlor
and get them.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
Yeah, pretty much.
Speaker 6 (04:59):
I of like it better when it's not necessarily planned.
Like if something you know, sparks while we're there, you know,
then that's kind of where I pull my my ideas from.
But otherwise, yeah, we just literally walk into a tattoo
shop and say like, hey, are you open?
Speaker 3 (05:13):
Do you have time today?
Speaker 2 (05:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (05:15):
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
But aren't some tattoo artists better than others? Like what
if you get someone that does a botch job?
Speaker 1 (05:20):
Yeah, but I think because the tattoo's small, right when
it's when it's a basic small tattoo, I don't I
think it's.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Very need like an artiste.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (05:27):
Yeah, if I'm going to get like a portrait of
Joe on my ass or something, I would have to
go to.
Speaker 4 (05:32):
Somebody trained for sure.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
Yeah. You can't be screwing that up. That would be
that would be a huge, huge mistake. What else, So,
like Mari growing up in Hawaii and bringing you know,
your husband there for the first time, what are like
some things that you're like, Okay, we absolutely he has
to see this to get like the real Hawaiian experience.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (05:56):
So my favorite beach in the entire world that I've
ever been too, ever is in Hawaii.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
It's on Wahu, so.
Speaker 6 (06:03):
We definitely had to go there. I actually really wanted
to do a luau, even though it's kind of like
cheesy and corny or whatever, you know, just because he's
never been and like it's the touristy.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
Thing to do.
Speaker 6 (06:13):
Unfortunately, our luau got rained out, so he didn't get
to go this time. But that's just an excuse in
my opinion that you know, we have to go back.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
How was the beach, Kenny? Did it live up to
the hype?
Speaker 4 (06:23):
The beaches out there are legit?
Speaker 5 (06:26):
Yeah, And I love, like I really like getting out
in the water and just.
Speaker 4 (06:30):
Like swimming in like the ocean and stuff.
Speaker 5 (06:33):
So we like got out of town and hit like
some beaches that were kind of like you just like
had to pull off on the side of the road
and like kind of walked. It wasn't just like public
style stuff like you normally would see. But it was
pretty There's like a lot of rough water out there.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
It's not like it can be.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
It's a little h.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
Is it true what they say is is Hawaii very expensive?
Like everything you do?
Speaker 6 (07:02):
Ye?
Speaker 4 (07:03):
Is that? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (07:05):
That Island specifically is like the most touristy I think,
out of all of them. And over the years, like
I was telling him, you know, places that I had
been to when I was little, we go back and
I'm like, wow, this.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
Looks totally different. This is totally like built up now
and there's buildings.
Speaker 6 (07:19):
Everywhere, and they have certainly commercialized a lot of it.
Like the waterfall that we went to. When I grew
up there, it was just completely open access. You can
just jump in, and now it's like you have to
pay to get in, you have to wear a life vest.
There's lifeguards on duty, which is all good. Part of
it's roped off, but it's just yeah, very you know,
commercialized now.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
Yeah. Yeah, So when did you guys get back.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
A week ago to all two weeks ago?
Speaker 6 (07:47):
Now?
Speaker 2 (07:47):
I think, yeah, what's the time change? Like six hours?
Speaker 3 (07:51):
Five hours? Right now?
Speaker 6 (07:52):
Yeah, they don't do they don't do the daylight savings.
So I think at some point in the year it
is more. I think it's six hours, But right now
it's fine. Okay, I was swimming with dolphins amazing.
Speaker 3 (08:04):
It was amazing.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
Is it easy? Is it easy to do?
Speaker 6 (08:08):
No?
Speaker 5 (08:08):
It's because this is that it's not like this is like, uh,
you're like out in the wild with them, so it's
not like they're not contained or anything. So the captain's
like trying to find them and then they like follow
them and then they like pull out in front of them,
so they like you could get in the water and
they come by, but like it's like army parachuting, Like
(08:29):
they're like all right, everybody lying up, and then they're
like any minute now, and then all of a sudden
they start screaming like go, go go, and everybody starts.
You have to like dive in it. It's like kind
of it's kind of wild.
Speaker 6 (08:41):
It is, Yeah, I wouldn't call it like a beginner
friendly experience.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
They're like pushing you off the boat again the water, yeah.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
And then you get back on and they're like all right,
we're gonna go again. And then everybody lining up and
then it's like the same thing over again. It's it's
kind of crazy. It was. I was like I didn't
expect them.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
Well, like if you're like if I so if I'm
like floating in the water, well like a dolphin like
swim under me for me to jump on, or do
I have to like, I can't.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Jump, You're not. This isn't Moana, Like you're not holding
their fin and like riding the dolphin.
Speaker 6 (09:15):
No, no, no, no, they under you, but they're pretty far
under you so you can see them.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
But yeah, I'm trying to figure out what movie you
saw that and that stuck with you as if it
was a real thing.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
I thought, I thought that's what they were doing. They
were right, because I was like, it doesn't seem like
I would feel like the dolphins wouldn't want you to
ride them.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
They don't. They don't, and that's why you can't. So
you went for your birthday? What was like the birth
Did you have one night that was like your birthday
celebration or one thing you did specifically for your birthday?
Speaker 6 (09:55):
Yeah, we did like a whole birthday day, and it
wasn't supposed to be that way, just that's how ended
up going. So we actually did the dolphins the morning
of and then we did a sunset boat cruise, like
a sunset booze cruise that evening, and then we went
to dinner at my favorite Italian restaurant in Hawaii for yeah,
for dinner.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
Oh that's so nice.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
How old are you twenty nine, twenty nine. I know,
I was used to think of a new girl.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
I can't believe we met. How old were we when
we met?
Speaker 6 (10:27):
I was like twenty four when I met you, I think.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Yeah, I was twenty two. So five years, five years,
that's crazy.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Wow, can you guys believe it's been it's been five Yeah,
it's been like how many years?
Speaker 2 (10:41):
Four years and years? But Marie and I run Bacher together,
So yeah, we've we've are creeping up on five years.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
How is life in Chicago? Anything? Know what's going on there?
Speaker 4 (11:00):
Uh? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (11:02):
We moved, uh, same building, but we moved to a
little bit of a bigger unit, like a two bed
of two bath. I mean, besides that, we still have
both had the same jobs and everything.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
I mean going on, right, I mean, yeah, how are
the dogs?
Speaker 3 (11:20):
They're good?
Speaker 6 (11:21):
Yeah, they're I'm surprised they're not interfering right now sleeping
on the little dog be But yeah, everything's good.
Speaker 3 (11:27):
Everything's fine. I can't wait for summer time.
Speaker 6 (11:29):
It's starting to finally get all the events are starting
to kick back up.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
So that's fine.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Yeah, would you guys get a third dog? Are you
done with two? I would you would.
Speaker 5 (11:42):
I think if if we get a move into a
house at some point maybe, but not in this space.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
I mean, your dogs are so little though, it's are
you taking them out? What's in one mark?
Speaker 4 (11:53):
Well, she don't walk them, I walk.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
Yeah, I mean it's a blue job.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
It's hard. It's hard. It's hard in a city like
Chicago because it gets just it's so cold that you
got to take him out, yeah.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
I know. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (12:08):
And then also like in the summer it gets really
hot too, so it's like sometimes it's too hot because
they're so little, like and they're not meant for like
that kind of weather. And then there's always people around,
so you got to watch people and other dogs and like, yeah,
it's crazy.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
Yeah, we even thinking about that in New York, Like
I don't. I mean, our place is very small, so
it would be a challenge. We'd have to get a
really little dog. But then even just yeaally taking it
out in the cold, taking it out in the heat,
like it's just a whole thing.
Speaker 6 (12:32):
Yeah. When I was living in Maryland, it was much
easier to just open the door and you know, let
my let him out that first, let him out, and
he would just go do his thing and when he's finished,
he comes back.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
And yeah, you're like, good job, monster, I'll be inside.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
You need me. What is your what is your Do
you have a what's your next country trip? Do you
have anything planned yet?
Speaker 6 (12:52):
We haven't planned anything yet, but I've definitely been sending
Kenny all kinds of We were.
Speaker 4 (12:58):
Looking at videos.
Speaker 5 (12:59):
I tried to like pick some like obscure stuff to see,
and you know, I think Norway.
Speaker 4 (13:05):
We were looking now.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
I have a tattoo for Norway.
Speaker 4 (13:08):
I thought that was Sweden.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
We did Norway for a day trip. We did like.
Speaker 6 (13:14):
Oslo, those where we want to go.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
Okay, she went to Ozlo with somebody else.
Speaker 3 (13:21):
I don't know whatever.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
I've never been her other boyfriend, her other husband.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
I'm thinking of Malmo, Malmo's and Sweden, gotcha?
Speaker 2 (13:28):
Okay, sounds so similar.
Speaker 4 (13:30):
Depends what flights are. We kind of actually look at the.
Speaker 6 (13:32):
Flights and every once in a while, yeah, we'll just look.
There's some Portugal sometimes that are like four or five
hundred bucks round trip, which is crazy. Yeah, so yeah,
we're we're just kind of going with the flow, seeing
what happens. I like my idea, yeah, because you never know,
like I just don't like to plant things out because
you never know what other things are going to pop up.
And like, you know, for his family here, you know
(13:55):
they're all having babies and stuff, so we want.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
To be around for that too.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
So nice. Serena's going to Portugal and oh less than
a month.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
Right, yeah, yeah, I leave on the thirty first. We're
going with my sister. We're trying to like do a
yearly sister trip and last year we did. Last year
we did like a four day cruise out of Florida,
and this year we're doing a seven a trip to Portugal.
So it's really gotten extravagain. One year later, we really said,
let's up the stakes of this trip. But I'm excited.
I wanted to go there for so long.
Speaker 4 (14:24):
So yeah, that was I was saying. I wanted to
move there, but we got to go first.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
We got to check it, suss it out. Yeah, con first, Yeah,
what are you?
Speaker 1 (14:37):
What are your guys thoughts on the new additions to
Bachelor and Paradise, starting with the Golden Cast. How do
we feel about that?
Speaker 6 (14:48):
I I feel like everyone's freaking out for no reason,
Like everyone's like this is gross. No one wants to
see that like, no one wants to have old people
date young people, and I don't think it's going to
be that, Like I think we're going to be right, Like,
I don't.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
Think that's what we think too. That's also our prediction
that they'll just be completely separate and they'll like sometimes
mix and mingle them for like a cocktail party.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
Yeah, exactly, that would be cool.
Speaker 6 (15:11):
And then you know, like the Golden Cast can give
advice to like the younger people, you know, I feel like,
and then the younger people can also you know, help
the Golden Cast kind of spit game and like learn
how to flirt, right, And you know, I don't know,
I think that would be super cute, But I don't
think they're going to be dating each other.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
That is definitely going to be a thing.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
Do you think do you think they're going to be
dating each other? Joe?
Speaker 1 (15:29):
No, I think, Mari said, I think they're gonna do where.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Like the young people help the Golden People like flirt
and like do like fun.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
They like there'll be like a section, like like a
segment like get your swag back or something, and it's gonna,
oh my god.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
Something No, Yeah, Joe and I have talked a lot
about like, obviously the hypotheticals of like if one of
the older guys gets with the younger girls, or vice versa,
one of the older women gets with the younger guys,
and like, we're obviously just like being silly with it
and being like, let's see what happens. But do I
really think if I had to put my money on it,
that's not going to happen. And I don't even think
they would let it happen. And I think that their
(16:08):
journeys will be like segregated from each other as much
as possible.
Speaker 6 (16:12):
I feel like it would just cause so much backlash
and like negativity that they don't even want that to
be in the realm of possibility.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
Have you guys ever seen the movie How Stellar Got
Our Groove Back? No?
Speaker 2 (16:24):
I have not seen that, Kenny.
Speaker 5 (16:27):
No, I mean I know, I just never didn't. I
never watched it. I'll watch it for you.
Speaker 4 (16:31):
Joe, but please please, never been inclined to watch it until.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
Just now, Kenny, What were you going to say?
Speaker 5 (16:39):
I was gonna say it just there seems like there's
a little Is it gonna air two days a week
like it used to?
Speaker 4 (16:45):
Or is it just one episode.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
Oh, I don't know. Usually it's two times a week, right,
ours was two times a week because.
Speaker 5 (16:51):
It seems like there's going to be so many people
involved that like Hyena that time. Because I feel like
the last two seasons or whatever, it's like no one
was able to like sort of invest in any of
the relationships sort of on our season where it's just
like it's all over the place, and then all of
a sudden, it's like the last two weeks and you're like, wait,
those two are about to get engaged, and then you like,
(17:11):
but you never really saw any development in like the relationships.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
I don't know, Yeah, But I also feel like the
last few seasons they haven't had a lot of couples
that like got together day one and either like had
a rocky road but ended up together or like stayed
together the whole time. I feel like a lot of
the relationships were developing, Like Kat and John Henry got
together like the last week of filming, like they there
was like only a few episodes of them did before
(17:36):
they were engaged. So I'm hoping for like some day winners,
you know, or like week winners where they like lock
in early on and we can actually invest in them,
because that's a great point in Joe and I were
even saying that, like, there's a lot being added, but
are we getting extra episodes? Are we getting extra time?
Because you know, there's already so much to cover in
(17:59):
Pair and now you know we've got a whole additional
cast being thrown at the show on top of the
regular cast. And then we were also talking about Hannah Brown.
What do you guys think of that?
Speaker 6 (18:09):
Yeah, I don't I don't think I'm clear on exactly
what she's doing.
Speaker 4 (18:14):
Isn't she Wells but for the Golden side of the
Beach or per se or I think they.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
Just said she's like running the champagne room or the
champagne bar, like she has her own I think she
is the bartender for her own bar, like Wells has
the beach Bar, and she has her own bar, and
I think they're calling it the Champagne Room, So I
don't know, they haven't really expanded. They're kind of presenting
it like she is Wells's equal counterpart. Yeah, counterpart. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
Looking back on your time in Paradise, what's something you
wish you knew going into it?
Speaker 2 (18:52):
M Oh boy, go first, yeah, Kenny, why don't you
go first?
Speaker 4 (19:00):
I don't know, I.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
Mean obvious here listen at the end of the day,
like it made it well for all of us. But
if there was something like you wish, even if it's
the you know, like more shorts or something.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
You know, like I wish I knew to bring a fan.
I wish I knew that I would. There was no
point and I was not going to be able to
style my hair. I was going for it natural every
single day, and I would have brought like different product
and accessories accordingly, I wish I I wish i'd packed different.
I don't looking back, I regret most of my off
(19:33):
of choices. I actually well, I feel like there was clothes.
I was like trying to wear things that were like
breathe like it just was so much harder than I
expected it to be.
Speaker 3 (19:41):
Yeah, it was bad.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
I mean I was there before, so like I should
have been more prepared, but.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
You couldn't have been less prepared.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
The only no, no, the only the only thing that
I wish I would have done differently was because I
think I would have gotten sick. Regardless is I wish
I would have had a engagement outfit prepared. I wish
I would have brought something for because I just truly
didn't think I would get engaged at the end. So
(20:10):
like I wore like basically like a black shirt, a
black shirt with like dark blue jeans and like and
dark brown shoes. I was mismatched. It was like the war.
I was like, I hate it what I had, what
I got that on one d end. But so that
would be the only thing I wish i'd changed. So yeah, packing, yeah.
Speaker 5 (20:29):
Well that that yeah, yeah, because like like I like
going into these things, even when we were on.
Speaker 4 (20:35):
When I was on basche Threat just sort of like blind.
Speaker 5 (20:39):
Yeah, I don't like I don't want to go into
these things having a plan of any sort, like and
I know a lot of people do and whatnot, and
I don't know, I kind of like going in not blind,
but like just like whatever, I agree, But like technical
stuff that you're talking about, like packing and stuff, for sure,
I mean that's I I they going to have such
(21:00):
a nightmare living situation.
Speaker 3 (21:07):
Whose story was I watching?
Speaker 6 (21:09):
I think it's just a fan page actually who was
invited or something?
Speaker 4 (21:12):
But I don't think is that the cast rooms.
Speaker 6 (21:14):
Probably not, I doubt it. But the place overall looks
much better than where we say it.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
I think.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
I will be so upset if they have a hotel
want them, but it's like, come on, I know. But
at the same time, I feel nostalgic about our experience,
you know.
Speaker 5 (21:32):
I guess I would say I was so tired, and
I know Joe. Joe was always tired too on our season.
I just I wish I would have slept more when.
Speaker 4 (21:42):
I had the chance to.
Speaker 2 (21:43):
I think, I know, but it's easier said than done,
because then you don't want to be the dude that's
sleeping the whole first week when everyone else is like
Bond Day, which Joe and it almost ruined our relationship,
So don't be that guy.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
I almost slept through. I almost slept through our relationship
about it.
Speaker 6 (22:08):
I think for me, knowing what I know now, the
thing I would have done differently is get botox.
Speaker 3 (22:13):
Before the show. And I say that because botox makes
you not sweat. Some of the other girls have like perfect,
flawless makeup.
Speaker 6 (22:23):
How are you not sweating bricks right now?
Speaker 2 (22:25):
I had to stop wearing makeup because I was like,
what's the point, Like it just looks crazy and.
Speaker 3 (22:29):
Trying to look cute.
Speaker 6 (22:30):
So yeah, I would have gotten I still have not
done boatoks to this day, but just.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
For paradise would have been worth No, totally, Like that's
actually I have never had botox either. But if someone
was like, it's going to be a million degrees down there,
you get a little bit of botox, it's going to
hold your makeup in place, I definitely would have considered it.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
Oh wait, so quick question. So when you get boats
I actually never thought of this. So when you get botox,
where does the sweat go? What does it do? It
just sits like right before the skin. It just doesn't
come out.
Speaker 2 (22:59):
I don't think they talk about that part.
Speaker 3 (23:01):
I don't think that's how it works.
Speaker 6 (23:03):
I think it just like goes through others.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
Yeah, it like closes. Like people will get botox in
like their arm pass to prevent sweat.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
But if you get botox in the So if I
got botox in my face, I'm gonna be sweating double
under my arms.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
I don't know. That's a question for your dermaniologist.
Speaker 5 (23:24):
This is all.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
Over our heads. We don't have it can't be that
problematic though, because everyone's doing it, you know, I feel
like we would hear about like the the sweating problems.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
Right the first effects I want to ask, I mean
thoughts on on singles going to the beach, But more
I want to ask, what advice would you give to
an engaged couple coming home like that's that? I think
that's a big thing. I think that's it that people
look past because is not all those couples make it?
Speaker 6 (24:03):
Yeah, and also you don't you know, once the show
wraps and the finale errors, you know that they're together,
but you don't necessarily get to keep up with them afterwards.
Speaker 3 (24:10):
Either, which I think would be interesting for them to do.
Speaker 6 (24:13):
But anyway, my advice would be to just really nurture
the relationship because oftentimes you don't live in the same area,
and obviously distance and not seeing each other, not spending
time together and getting to know each other more can
create like a riff. So I would say prioritize, you know,
like spending time together and nurturing the connection beyond what
was shown on TV.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
Do you guys see each other outside your happy couples?
Speaker 3 (24:36):
We did?
Speaker 2 (24:37):
Yeah, oh yeah, we went to that that lake house
that one time.
Speaker 3 (24:40):
Oh yeah, I remember that.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
We broke the rules as a group we did.
Speaker 2 (24:45):
But like I would say, that's the great advice, like
spend as much time together as you physically can, and
if you don't want to, that might be a sign
that the engagement before the reuni yet, because it's.
Speaker 4 (25:01):
It was easier.
Speaker 5 (25:03):
Well, going back to what Mario was saying in our
time period, because she she came out to Chicago a
bunch of times.
Speaker 4 (25:10):
I went to Maryland, but it was like COVID, so
it was actually a lot easier.
Speaker 2 (25:15):
You're traveling with like masks and hats and stuff too.
Speaker 5 (25:18):
Yeah, I guess it's different now to be secretive with it,
but but yeah, I think along the same lines like this,
at the end of the day, I mean, if you're
going to get engaged, you get I guess you got
to have that conversation before you even do that on
the show because if you guys live far apart, like
(25:38):
that's that's a lot of stuff to deal with once
you get home.
Speaker 4 (25:42):
And I think that's I think that's why a lot
of this stuff falls apart so.
Speaker 5 (25:45):
Easily, because it's it's easy just to say this ain't
working out because you're trying to fit this new thing
into your life that you're just like going back to
and now you're like, now I gotta like travel and
she's coming here. It's a lot to deal with once
you get back home, if you're gonna if you're gonna
make it through you know, I don't know. It's it's
(26:06):
a big conversation I have, I think before you get
engaged on Paradise.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
Definitely. I think it's a must to have that conversation.
We we want it and I think you definitely have
to have that out of within bachlination. Now, we don't
know who's going to Paradise except for three people oh
five five, because we know two golden people as well. Right,
but just choosing randomly through bachelination, who that you know
(26:35):
is single? Who do you think would make a good
couple if you were to choose one copy to make
it out of Paradise?
Speaker 4 (26:44):
Just one?
Speaker 1 (26:47):
Yeah, random random, but pair pair of couple up. Let's
say if it ends up working on, hold on.
Speaker 3 (26:51):
Let me think, hold on, let me think. Why do
I feel like Andrew is going to go back? And
do I feel like he's gonna go back?
Speaker 2 (27:01):
Yeah? I think he's single.
Speaker 4 (27:04):
I could see him hooking up with one of the goldens.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
No, oh, gosh, no, I don't think he would. Who else?
Who else? I would love to see Andrew? I feel
like he would do it.
Speaker 4 (27:23):
Andrew's always good TV.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
Okay, so Andrew's the guy and then find the girl for.
Speaker 3 (27:29):
Him, anyone, anyone who's singles.
Speaker 4 (27:35):
Well, you know what the number two on Grant season
might be something.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
Yeah, i'd be fun sage. No, but it could be
like a fun like flirty situation, fun summer summer flame.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
They would look amazing together.
Speaker 6 (27:52):
I'm interested actually to know, like what went down at stagecoach,
that just happened?
Speaker 3 (27:56):
What last weekend?
Speaker 2 (27:57):
That's true? Great call the hot.
Speaker 6 (28:01):
Yeah, there were a lot of Bachelor nations, so I
love that.
Speaker 2 (28:05):
I love it when real world drama filters onto the show.
Speaker 1 (28:09):
There's nothing like how do I do about? How do
we okay? So we are as viewers, we are okay
with contestants potentially hooking up, talking, even planning.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
I don't like the planning. I don't want it to
be like we knew we were both going to be
down there. But it's like I like it when it's
like we were all at this event and so and
so and so and so went home together, but he
was already talking to her like or like these two
girls like had beef and like you know, things that
just like organically happen because people are hanging out and
like then it's like they're forced to confront it when
(28:45):
they're all back together. That you want mess, You want
a little mess, like I want a little like pregame mess. Yeah,
that's because those are things that you cannot create in
the show, you know.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
Like that that's why I like them when the messier
people show up.
Speaker 1 (29:05):
Yeah, I agree. I think I think the mess messier, messier,
the better, for sure. Thanks for good reality.
Speaker 4 (29:11):
Exactly, not in a bad way. Just somebody that stirred
up like it doesn't.
Speaker 6 (29:15):
Have to someone who doesn't care, like somethings like bold.
Speaker 5 (29:17):
And someone to say say what needs to be said
to create the next piece of drama that's.
Speaker 3 (29:23):
Going to happen or something, the next cake in the fire.
Speaker 1 (29:28):
