Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, everyone, welcome back to Bachelor Happy Hour.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
I'm Joe and I'm Serena, and we are here with
our two lovely guests, Ria and France Chicks in the office.
If you don't know, they have a wildly successful podcast.
They have been crushing it. I just saw them in
an article on was It Vulture. Yes, have like as
like an influential podcast, which I agree. You're one of
(00:26):
the few podcasts that I listened to. I'm a fan
and I'm just happy to have you guys here, so welcome.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
Thank you so much for incredible introduction. Joe. Wow, I'm
really hyped up. I appreciated that.
Speaker 4 (00:39):
Yeah, that was great. Thank you so much for having us.
I feel like it's been a long time coming.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
Yeah, I Rea, you did say publicly that you mentioned
that Serena and I were one of your favorite Bachelor couples.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
So that's why I'm.
Speaker 4 (00:52):
Leslie multiple times. It also might have to do with
the fact that, like, I know you guys in real
life too, so you know, like it's you guys have
great personalities and your love shines through and I will
always shout that from the mountaintops.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
Yeah, we're I would say we're friends, like on a
scale of one through ten, on a scale of one
through ten, like we're friends, but like on a scale
of one through ten. If your best friend in the
world's at ten, where would we rank each other on
the friends scale?
Speaker 3 (01:23):
Good part because I love like the ten is like
me and Ria.
Speaker 4 (01:26):
Yeah, right, Like you guys are what like a three?
Speaker 5 (01:30):
Right?
Speaker 3 (01:30):
You know, I was going to say three and a
half hour. I think that, like we're not getting invited
to your guys' wedding. You weren't invited. Yeah, if I
like run into you on the street, I'm really.
Speaker 6 (01:43):
Happy to see you, totally right, And you've got out
for some dinners when it's union.
Speaker 5 (01:48):
Right, when we wind up at the same events, Yeah,
we're always excited to see you guys.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
Yes, if we're at the same event, we will definitely
have dinner.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
It'll be a blast.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
If if Serena and I are throwing it in a party,
which we never do, you're not probably wouldn't invite you
because we're not that close, but we're but we're still.
Speaker 5 (02:06):
Exactly like I wouldn't like, Okay, so if you were
if you were throwing like a brand event dinner and
we weren't invited.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
I'd be upset. I'd be like, oh, like, why didn't
they think of this?
Speaker 4 (02:15):
But you were just throwing like a personal dinner party,
be like, oh, of course we're not there.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
Why would we be there?
Speaker 1 (02:21):
Yeah, I think I think you would think.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
We're not going to your birthday to make more colleagues
than friends.
Speaker 5 (02:30):
Probably acquaintances colleagues, but colleagues friends to like colleagues, Like
do we.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
Wish each other a happy birthday? You know what I mean?
Like it doesn't I don't comment on your Instagram post. Yeah,
I feel like I'm split up. Damn on your story
you're you're posting it's your birthday. I might write like,
oh my god, happy birthday. Totally.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
You know, if someone were to ask you about us,
or we were to come up in conversation, would you say, oh,
I'm friends with them.
Speaker 5 (03:00):
Like I feel like that's okay, Yeah, we're friends with them.
They're greatly yeah yeah yeah, yeah, And I know what.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
I definitely you guys as friends, yes, I say.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
If they somebody mentioned, I say, yeah, I love them,
they're awesome, that's exactly. Yeah, And we don't know if
I don't know if I actually love you guys, but
like you know what.
Speaker 6 (03:21):
I'm saying, I don't think I I don't do you
guys have our numbers.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
I don't have your numbers. Well, friend, Joe, Ria and
Joe were you guys? Ye were numbers?
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Joe and I were Yeah, some dark rabbit holes.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
And also the Santa thing when Joe, when you guys
and Joe came to.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
Santa at our live show.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
I feel like Serena and Noah bond over their peanut allergy,
but we do.
Speaker 6 (03:49):
And Noah, if you're listening, I wanted to let you
know that before this, I went to grab a chicken
sandwich and they told me that they couldn't because they
used not Wales.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
So I know, I'm just yeah, thank god. I just a.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Reminder, Well, this has been a great way to start
the podcast.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
So let's you know.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
Who, what's better we like each other than talking about
your level of friendship.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
That means we're all comfortable with each other.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
Well.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
Solid.
Speaker 5 (04:21):
We can all be honest with each other. That's a
true sign of friendship.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
Really didn't like each other, we wouldn't be able to
have this conversation. We'd be faking it. We'd be like, oh,
you guys would like a seven totally.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Yeah, this is this is a this is a solid
four trending upward. So we will see where the friendship goes.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
Okay, after the weddings.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
After the weddings, we can't afford to make new friends
right now.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
Okay, so let's get into some things Bachelor. So we
just uh, not that it's super relevant, but Joey just
did have a season of The Bachelor. You guys cover
the show. We've watched the show with you a few times. Thoughts,
opinions on the season and the finale.
Speaker 6 (05:05):
Let's go.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Yeah, I mean one of you could do season one.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
Yeah, I mean it was a it was a great season.
Speaker 5 (05:11):
Really, it brought us back in more than past seasons.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
I feel like Joey's season was great.
Speaker 5 (05:20):
Loved all the girls, and on top of that, I
think it's it holds a special place in our heart
because it was the first finale that we got to
go to We went after the final rows and that
that was something special. But again again into the inside,
we finally felt like we were somebody that we that
we got to go.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
It was extremely I can't believe that's the first time
you guys have fun. Yes too, the same.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
I mean, we really it just lined up that we
were going to be in la at the same time
for our live show, so we really tried to make
that happen and we did. And it was honestly such
an honor to go because we've been following the show
for so long, so it was so cool to be
there and just like see how the magic happens in person.
But during this season, I would say that I think
and at the end, after the finale, I solidified as
(06:03):
Joey is the best Bachelor ever. Like, just from start
to end, I thought that he played his cards right.
Like a lot of times when somebody becomes the lead,
you get the hate train on them, right. It's like
some people will love them and stick up for them,
other people will start to hate them.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
Joey was just pretty solid all around.
Speaker 5 (06:22):
It was like he's making all the right moves and
he ended up making the right decision in the end.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Yeah, he was really good.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
I agree, Like, you can't really talk shit about Joey,
but what would you you would you rather have that
or do you like having a mix of Like you
get the Clayton's of the world where they kind of
like fuck their season up, and then that's also kind
of fun.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
Right, Oh, give me Pilot PZ.
Speaker 5 (06:48):
Like right, it's my dream over and over ago in
either direction. And you have to know early on in
the season, like Ria said, with like a Pilot Pede season,
you're just it's just chaos and what you're enjoying from
a drama standpoint exactly.
Speaker 4 (07:02):
And I also feel like there's a third tier where
it's just like boring. Like I didn't find Joey's to
be boring, even though his yes sex I found to
be quite boring.
Speaker 6 (07:14):
You know.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
I'm really happy for them though.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
They look really happy, and I'm so happy that they
you know, found each other and it worked out for
Joey season. Though I just I wasn't necessarily like bored
by it. I think that there were a lot of
great contestants on the show as well that had so
many different stories and backgrounds and personalities that that also
(07:38):
added to it as well. But when you're talking about
Pilot Pete season and you get his mom barging in
for the finale or bar barbing in, barbing in, then
it just makes it that much more exciting.
Speaker 6 (07:55):
And I feel like it had been a while since
we've had a boucher like Joey that I I think
people were at the point where they were like, I'm
over this. I just want a really strong male lead,
and he was able to do it, which was.
Speaker 4 (08:07):
Great, and I think that, you know, obviously, when it
came to the Bachelorette and the new season the Bachelorette,
it was like everybody you know had their opinion on
who they wanted. And I'm actually excited for gen season.
I feel like people jump the gun too soon on like,
oh my gosh, but we wanted Maria and we wanted
d Zy and why didn't that happen.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
I'm excited. I'm excited for the new season the Bachelorette.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
Out of you two, who do you think would be
a better Bachelorette a more entertaining Bachelorette?
Speaker 3 (08:38):
Well, those are two different questions. Yeah, those are a
two different question. I think more entertaining Riya. You're definitely
more emotional.
Speaker 4 (08:47):
Yeah, You're easier to cry a lot, right, Yeah, I'm
definitely more.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
Emotional and you would lead with your emotions.
Speaker 4 (08:53):
Yes, yes, Like I like, I love very hard and
I can also hate very hard.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
I move a little slower.
Speaker 5 (09:02):
Yeah, so I think I think yours would be a
way more entertaining season.
Speaker 4 (09:08):
Yeah, but in terms of like finding love and all that, Like,
you know, I think we'd both be great at that
because I.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
Think we're doing pretty well for ourselves now.
Speaker 5 (09:18):
Yeah, definitely, I think that we'd be that we could do,
but we would do it in different ways. Yep.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
If you could, if you could choose a male lead
for the next Bachelor in a relationship or non in
a relationship from the Bachelor franchise, who would you have chosen?
Speaker 1 (09:44):
Who would you choose? Don't just say me, don't just
me unless you truly mean no.
Speaker 5 (09:51):
Just from watching standpoint Yeah, like in a relationship or not.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
Just honestly, my brain went in a totally different direction.
I don't know. I don't know if I would to
pick any of the.
Speaker 4 (10:05):
Pilot peat Pilot round round two gives me a pilot
Pete round two.
Speaker 3 (10:09):
You know he's gonna mess it up again, Like, it's
not like he will be the same pilot Pete.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
That we.
Speaker 5 (10:17):
I mean, this dates me for how long I've been
watching the show. But they did that once where they
b Brad, Yeah he got too st but they did
it like back to back.
Speaker 6 (10:25):
Yeah, there's few, very very few leads I would ever
need to see again, not because they weren't great, just
like it's too soon, you know what I mean. Like
I know there was like you know, give Rachel or
Gabby like their own season kind of thing, and it's
like love them, but like we just saw their season.
It's been like enough time that I actually would totally
want to see him again, like bar bring her back,
(10:47):
bring them all back.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
Yeah, it would be incredible.
Speaker 5 (10:50):
I couldn't like even the more recent guys, like the
guys from Charity season. They were all good on Paradise,
but I don't they I don't know if any of
them have.
Speaker 4 (10:59):
Like bad slurt potentially I got one. I want to
double Andrew and Greg.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
Oh, you're right, you're right. That was a good one because.
Speaker 4 (11:07):
They've done the back double Bachelorette, right, and their besties
Andrew and Greg are best friend They're very entertaining.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
That that's actually a great idea.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
What about what about Tyler?
Speaker 3 (11:22):
I he just I'm not sure he would be the best.
Speaker 5 (11:27):
You know, just only because I don't know if he
would fully like buy into it. Yeah, he's almost like done. Fine,
for himself on his own that he I mean, he
doesn't need to do it, but.
Speaker 6 (11:40):
I feel like he's almost like too removed at this point.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
So that's right exactly, And.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
Like, what about what about guys in the franchise that
are in a relationship.
Speaker 5 (11:47):
I would maybe throw Jason Tarctic up there just to wait,
what about me? I think I'm honestly now, I'm just
I was just adding more to not say.
Speaker 3 (12:02):
Joe.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
Yeah, I'm shocked.
Speaker 4 (12:05):
Joe.
Speaker 5 (12:06):
We can't even picture you a bachelorette as the bat.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
We just can't picture you as a bachelor. Okay. We
know you with Serena, and that's all we want.
Speaker 5 (12:18):
And also it's very different when I'm somebody who's in
a relationship. In a relationship is very is different in
my mind than you guys are straight up married.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
You know.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
Yeah, Okay, let's uh okay. So going into gen season,
what what are your thoughts about her? Like, how do
you how do you picture her as the next lead?
Speaker 5 (12:38):
I think she's so sweet, but I think we're kind
of flying blind a little bit, which is not a
bad thing. I think sometimes that's good. We did with
Charity and she Yeah, exactly exactly when you don't really
know when they Sometimes you get the lead who was
one hundred the star of their season that they were
(12:59):
on in the in the group, and you know, Jena
had her moments, but they weren't they weren't big moments.
So I feel like it's exciting because their potential is
there to learn so much more about her through her season,
Like we'll we'll find out so much more about her
because we didn't.
Speaker 3 (13:17):
We didn't really get to so much during the Bachelor.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
Yeah, I agree, And I think she has a cute
and bubbly personality and it just like brings livelihoods. So
I'm excited to watch and Serena, like you mentioned, like
I remember when we first interviewed Charity before her season,
I was like blown away by her and I couldn't
wait to watch her season because I just thought she
just had such an amazing personality, great energy, and just great.
Speaker 6 (13:38):
They did not show like I remember saying, like when
we were talking about charity season coming up, we were like,
I was like, it's not that she doesn't have a personality,
just don't know what her personality is because exactly, yeah,
I haven't seen it, but she was such a great lead,
so yeah, and I and I think with Jen, like
she made a joke at the final Rose where she
(13:59):
was like shot or whatever, and yeah, people kind of
made fun of that.
Speaker 4 (14:03):
But then I was like, if Maria would have done that,
people would have been eating it up.
Speaker 5 (14:07):
They would have been like, oh my god, that's classic Maria.
It's amazing. So I just feel like people pick and
choose and everyone just has to give her like an
open shot.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
Right.
Speaker 5 (14:15):
It felt like very soon in that moment too, because
everybody was so.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
Like rooting so hard.
Speaker 5 (14:22):
For Maria that everyone's needed to kind of calm down
a little and realize it's not that because it's not
it's not like that big of a deal that it
wasn't her, you know, like they immediately like first reaction
was like, oh my god, how could it not be her?
And it's like, Okay, calm down, it's okay, Like they'll
they'll find somebody else.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
It'll be great. So I think it'll be I just
hope they. I just hope they.
Speaker 5 (14:44):
Found good, good girls for her, because I do think
with this show sometimes they I mean.
Speaker 3 (14:51):
Guys, yeah, sorry, guys.
Speaker 5 (14:54):
Were over, I say, I was going to say, because
the guys sometimes they they cast so well for the
Bachelor and not as much for the Bachelorette.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
Sometimes the gout like.
Speaker 5 (15:07):
There's like a few guys and I'm like, Okay, those
guys are those guys are nice, those guys are winners.
And it feels like the last few season of the Bachelor,
all the girls have been amazing.
Speaker 3 (15:17):
And the guys there's a lot more dud guys. Yeah,
that is true.
Speaker 4 (15:21):
I mean there are some good There are some good
guys that came out of Charity season, Like I mean,
we got Joey.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
Yeah, so I know what I'm saying. Only a few though.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
Yeah, did you see Joey's new haircut?
Speaker 3 (15:32):
I liked it. I liked it.
Speaker 6 (15:35):
I don't know if I feel positively like he's a
handsome guy no matter what, but.
Speaker 3 (15:38):
That's how I felt.
Speaker 4 (15:40):
I was like, oh, yeah, I mean I thought I
he either way, I thought it was good.
Speaker 5 (15:44):
He He's extremely handsome, So I mean he looks good
regardless for sure. But I from somebody who lives in
a family where my you know, not not taking ricochet
shots at my and my family, but my brother, my dad,
my uncles, they deal with with hair loss, and I
(16:07):
know that if my brother could have Joey's head of hair,
he would in a heartbeat. So when I see guys
with great hair cut their hair off, I'm like.
Speaker 3 (16:15):
Ah, but you got it, you got the hair. But
he'll grow it back.
Speaker 5 (16:19):
He spent so much time with it. He seems like
he has that kind of hair that'll just grow back
into a flood. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (16:24):
It just takes a bachelor like I want to change
my look, you know what I mean, James Beard like that,
or an Entourage.
Speaker 4 (16:32):
When Vinnie Chase just shaves his head off too, and
they're like, oh my god, we can't do the.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
Reshoots right, Well, I head for those reasons.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
That was such a strange season of Entraage Vinny Chase.
You could not It was so hard to watch him
with that haircut.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
Yeah, it was bad.
Speaker 4 (16:48):
I gotta be honest. I still love I'm I'm. It's
just my favorite show. So I think I just love
any season of it, Like people hate season seven.
Speaker 3 (16:58):
And I like it. Season eight's the last and season seven.
Speaker 5 (17:00):
Is when he goes off the starts dating Pray.
Speaker 3 (17:05):
I couldn't stand that season.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
Watch the movie? Have you have you watched the movie recently?
Speaker 3 (17:11):
Because when I recently just rewatched the movie.
Speaker 4 (17:15):
I have rewatched it recently, and that's how I got
my sister's computer hacked because I was trying to get
that the Entourage movie like years ago when it first
came out. A hacker got me and opened up the
camera on me because I was trying to get the
Rage movie on there. Besides the point, it wasn't my favorite.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
Like I think I think they could have done better.
Speaker 4 (17:35):
Yeah, yeah, because Hailey Joel Osmond in that movie is
so fucking annoying. Sorry, he's the he's the son of
Billy Bob Thornton.
Speaker 5 (17:46):
Oh my god, he's so annoying.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
It's just too many cameos, like the were actually so
the cameos.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
It was like it was like too gaudy. It was like, yeah,
we get it, like you rot.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
And she was not good in it.
Speaker 6 (18:03):
Yeah, it's not good, but you know what I will say,
the movie itself is not the best, but the way
the movie ended was like the perfect way to time.
Definitely like flowing in him getting back together, they have
the baby, Benny's doing god knows what, turtles rich and
what's his face gets his oscar. Yeah, I was choked
about that.
Speaker 5 (18:23):
The Oscar ending is it is victory that gave me
chills watching the Bach that.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
Hasn't seen Entourage, just like, guys, I'm not here for this,
they'll go watch now.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
Cutting back to The Bachelor, do you have a favorite
Night one episode ever?
Speaker 4 (18:47):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (18:48):
Yeah, So what we've been doing is we've been watching
done this for like five or six people where we
watched their Night one episode and then interview them.
Speaker 3 (18:56):
So like we've done Ben.
Speaker 6 (18:58):
Higgins, we did the Pete, we did Hannah Brown, and
going back and watching people's Night ones, like I feel
like you remember the finales so clearly, but like seeing
the Night ones and all these people that like have
now gone into paradise and get married, and like interviewing
the leaves and hearing like the behind the scenes of
the Night One has been so crazy.
Speaker 3 (19:18):
But Joe, that was your time to shine?
Speaker 2 (19:21):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (19:22):
Really I kind of done work.
Speaker 4 (19:25):
Do you think back on that and you're like, man,
I really got sent home immediately?
Speaker 3 (19:29):
Like are you just like what the hell?
Speaker 1 (19:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Yeah, yeah, all the time, all the time, all the time.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
But I do like watching Night one episodes.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
There is a part of me though I said this,
I said this on this podcast I'm like, there's a
part of me that like, I'm really happy and and
I love my wife obviously, but there is a part
of me that like kind of looks back and I'm like,
it is kind of sad that I, like, I sit here,
I talk about this show every fucking week, but like
I actually never experienced it, Like I truly I don't.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
I actually don't know nothing.
Speaker 4 (20:06):
Yeah, oh my god, that is so funny. I never
had but the season that.
Speaker 3 (20:13):
Is sound seasons, yeah, but not a normal season.
Speaker 5 (20:19):
I don't know what my favorite night w was. So
I really liked Hannah Brown's. I think she had to
go on her Yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
Yeah, those like and all those guys were just good,
good ones.
Speaker 5 (20:32):
One that sticks out in my mind. And maybe I'm
also guessing maybe you guys had just watched this one,
but just because it was so ridiculous, not because I
liked it. Was was Caitlin's because that was a double
bazarette and they made the guys vote.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
It was that crazy. We just recently watched, like watching.
Speaker 5 (20:53):
When I think back of that night one, I'm like,
oh my god, I can't believe they did that where
they brought in two girls and they had the guys
boat and and Caitlin won and the.
Speaker 3 (21:02):
Other girl just had to leave. That was a weirder age.
Speaker 6 (21:06):
Britt the other girl was so confident, like so sure
it was gonna be her, Caitlin was not.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
And they clearly like did not.
Speaker 6 (21:13):
I don't know if they had like actual issues, but
like they didn't get along because they were not speaking
to each other.
Speaker 3 (21:19):
Yeah, like there was no.
Speaker 5 (21:21):
I mean that puts you in such an uncomfortable position,
like you're you want you're you want to be nice,
but you also are like I want to be the bachelor.
Speaker 4 (21:30):
I feel like it kind of creates a complex for
both of them, Like if I'm brit I'm leaving and
I'm feeling like the worst person in the world, like
I'm like and then if you're Caitlyn, you're kind of
like I was picked, like you know, and then if
someone ends up not liking you, you're like, well, I
was picked. So it's it's very confusing, and they'd have
(21:51):
to pick between Gabby and Rachel, but there were clear
right well.
Speaker 5 (21:56):
Besides, they can't do it again unless it's Andrew, and.
Speaker 4 (21:59):
Yeah, they have to do it. They have to do
it to a guy one time. To even it out,
but it just and I feel like Gabby and Rachel
kind of struggled with that too a little bit, like
because some of the guys were like switching on who
they want, Like, I don't know, it's just it's just madness.
Speaker 2 (22:14):
It's just like the Batchel Like having the Bachelorette a
woman is the lead. It's like, all right, we're gonna
give you know, she has all the power. And then
they're like, nah, fuck.
Speaker 1 (22:23):
It, let's do it. Well, that's let the guys.
Speaker 5 (22:27):
Still though, it's crazy that the guys have that. The
guys have never had to do it.
Speaker 3 (22:31):
Yeah, Greg and Andrew Yeah, yeah, Greg and Andrew In.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
I mean I think they're both singles, so I actually
think it is.
Speaker 6 (22:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:41):
Well more another I got.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
Another question, if if you ever thought about what your
limo entrance would be.
Speaker 5 (22:51):
Funny enough, I really like I never have, and I'm
just it would be it would be something punny.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
That is surprising to me.
Speaker 6 (23:01):
You guys have the show so much, I would have
thought at some point you would have been like, this
is what I would have done.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
Yeah, we just can't.
Speaker 5 (23:07):
We love talking about the show, but we have never
pictured ourselves on the shipher never ever, Like you know,
like some people like love the show and they're like, oh,
I would die to be on it. It's like we
love the show, but we love the show.
Speaker 3 (23:19):
From a distance.
Speaker 4 (23:20):
From a distance, like wouldn't want to be on it,
But we always say Kelly Keeks would be so good.
Speaker 3 (23:24):
Oh yeah, no, for sure, may have exactly. I think
she would know. I think she would have her exactly.
She think I would do something punny and.
Speaker 5 (23:32):
Cringey and I would hate it, but that's I love
a dad joke, so right, but that but that's your youth, yeah.
Speaker 4 (23:38):
Me, like they would love that, like, oh this girl's funny,
Like she could do a little dad joke for me,
Like I wouldn't want to go to like stereotypical Italian.
Speaker 5 (23:49):
You might do it like a lady in the tramp
thing that Slott spaghetti shaerl little spaghetti.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
I thought I thought that's what they were going to do.
I thought that's what I was going to be.
Speaker 1 (23:59):
When I now the.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
Child was like, oh, I'm going to be like the
like the Jersey shore guy, like the hao and.
Speaker 5 (24:06):
I made Yeah, you made yourself into that with the
sauce like you were like, oh, they're not going to
make me that.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
Well, guess what, I'm making it myself.
Speaker 1 (24:16):
I'm doing it. I'm doing it anyways.
Speaker 6 (24:19):
But so what I think did do the lady on
the tramp thing on my season because it was like
but it was meant It wasn't meant to be like
a hey, I'm Italian.
Speaker 3 (24:26):
It meant to like they like it was like.
Speaker 6 (24:27):
A kiss thing, right, which always I could never like
right away know me, either you're going to kiss.
Speaker 5 (24:34):
I would pull you, pulled it away like the last second, yeah,
like bite it off, like.
Speaker 3 (24:38):
Chop it off. Yeah, that's cute, right, and then it.
Speaker 4 (24:40):
Wouldn't look cute, it would just look not sexy at all. Serena,
what was your little entrance?
Speaker 6 (24:46):
I brought out like a stepping stool because Matt was
like six or five, so cute, really sure, and I
was like I brought a little something to help me
get on your level. And then I stepped on it
and I like was like, now we can see like
eye to eye or something.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
You could do that right now. My fiance right now
is back to I could. It worked well because I
made him like help me get up on it, like.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
Yeah, down watched that very very attracted to you in
that moment.
Speaker 3 (25:16):
Thank you.
Speaker 5 (25:16):
Oh wait, that's so cute and like I love that
so much, Like you know, not to make like Joe
Jellis of your entrance with Matt, but like that is incredible.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
Yeah, I liked it. I wanted to do a little something.
I didn't want to just like talk.
Speaker 6 (25:31):
I was like, I feel like I feel more comfortable
if I have like some act plan to like lean
on the.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
Prop or something.
Speaker 6 (25:39):
But I remember walking out of the limo and turning
to the guy who opened the door for me to
say thank you.
Speaker 3 (25:44):
I like hit the lomo.
Speaker 5 (25:45):
Stool was sorry on my way. I was like, sorry, okay, bye,
here we go. But yeah, and then we were at
we were at Nema Collin because we weren't at the mansion.
I remember the stairs were like crazy sweet, I care
the stool in my heels, like these long legs of
stairs and you're like, it's funny that they have you
(26:07):
like keep your prop, Like I would feel like you
could just just throw the prop in the bush.
Speaker 3 (26:11):
And be like I'm done with this.
Speaker 6 (26:13):
Yeah, I should have thought of that at the bottom
of the stairs, but no, I liked I'm glad when
it worked out for my Lama entrance.
Speaker 5 (26:20):
Yes, that's really it's a good one.
Speaker 2 (26:28):
Okay, last last Bachelor related question. Then this may be
a little difficult off the top of your head, so
I'll get as many as you could. If you could
put together, like right now, your dream scenario for who
you would want to see on Paradise, five people who
would like you'd be like, all right, this is this
is my all star crew going into next season of Paradise.
Speaker 1 (26:49):
Who would it be?
Speaker 5 (26:52):
I mean, I as much as I would love an
Andrew and Greg Bachelor, I think it's way more realistic
that they could go back to Paradise.
Speaker 3 (27:00):
I mean, Andrew's done it, but Greg's never done it.
Has not Andrew.
Speaker 4 (27:04):
Then put Victoria Fuller back on Paradise and see what
happens between you and Victoria shocked.
Speaker 3 (27:10):
If I would send no, she doesn't need to do
she doesn't need to go back. I would put Maria
and Daisy.
Speaker 4 (27:15):
Yes, yeah, Pilot, prow people we're dying.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
And Traders, Yes you really are, like on Televison.
Speaker 4 (27:28):
You're a reality TV star, Pete, So yeah, I would
put Yeah, I think Pilot, Pete, Daisy, Maria, Greg, Andrew
let's think of one more one more girl to go
on there.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
I would maybe throw like, oh, one more girl, yeah,
because we have three Victoria.
Speaker 6 (27:44):
I'm trying to think your last Bacher's Joey Zach take away.
Speaker 3 (27:48):
Victoria, because I don't think what about what about.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
Ariel?
Speaker 5 (27:54):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a good one. That's a
good one. I would so maybe send Tanner back to Tanner.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
Yeah, m shall let's not do that with our hats. Okay,
I think I think that let's not do that.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
That's a that's a great lineup. Yeah, Chicks in the office.
Chicks in the Office.
Speaker 2 (28:19):
You guys have been a podcast now for six years.
Speaker 3 (28:23):
About yeah, yeah, longer less then? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (28:29):
Wait, how did your podcast start? I don't know if
I've ever heard that story.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
Let me think back for a minute. Well, we were
we started doing.
Speaker 4 (28:40):
An hour long radio show on Serious XM every single
day Monday through Friday when Barsool Sports got their Serious
XM channel. So the two of you together, the two
of us together through Barstool, through Serious. Well, we met
at Barstool when we were interns and we just like
bonded over pop culture and we started making one minute
(29:02):
videos on our Instagram checks in the office every day.
Speaker 3 (29:05):
We were literally the only girl.
Speaker 4 (29:07):
Yeah, well we were the only girls there besides Erica
at the she's no longer CEO, but at the time CEO.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
And doing content. Yes, yeah, the only girls doing content.
Speaker 4 (29:16):
And we started doing one minute videos on chicks in
the office, literally just one minute videos pop culture related
and then that kind of took off, and when Barstool
got their series XM channel, Dave came up to us
and was like, Okay, so you guys are going to
be on radio every single day, Monday through Friday. And
at the time, I was twenty friend was twenty three,
and we like literally had no idea how to host
(29:40):
a radio show.
Speaker 3 (29:41):
And I think we were probably.
Speaker 5 (29:42):
The whole host We're probably the youngest host on Serious XM.
Speaker 3 (29:47):
Like it was insane. I was live every single day,
legally drinking. No, I literally couldn't drink.
Speaker 4 (29:53):
Like I remember doing the radio show the day after
my twenty first birthday party, which was insane, like coming
in that Friday and doing the show. So that was crazy,
and people really enjoyed that and they were like, Okay,
why don't you guys tried making this into a podcast
and we kind of and this was in twenty eighteen,
and we at the time thought, oh my god, there's
(30:15):
so many podcasts already, like nobody's going to listen to
our podcasts. I mean, now, podcasts have exploded to a
whole other level, but at that time they were still popular,
and we started throwing the radio show into podcast form
and it exceeded their expectations like ten plus times like
what they thought it was going to get. Uh So, Yeah,
then it just took off from there and we started
(30:35):
doing it once a week. Then it went to twice
a week, and then in COVID we started doing it
three times a week because we were home.
Speaker 5 (30:40):
We like fully transitioned from radio to doing this too,
because it was like radio we would do five days
a week and then we would kind of turn it
into like the best of the week episode would be
in a podcast form and then radio.
Speaker 3 (30:56):
Once the radio deal.
Speaker 5 (30:57):
Ended, it was easy for us like fully transitioned to
just doing the podcast.
Speaker 4 (31:03):
Yeah, and then during COVID, when we started doing three
times a week, they kind of slowed down on the
radio show, you know, because it was just people didn't
know how to do the radio show from home at
that point, then other people took over at Barcel and
then the channel kind of ended after that.
Speaker 3 (31:20):
So yeah, the contract was just yeah anyway, So.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
Have you guys ever gone back and listened to like
your first would you? Would you ever?
Speaker 6 (31:28):
No?
Speaker 5 (31:29):
No, George Washington Bridge No, literally, like I also, my
voice changed like literally the summer of twenty twenty one,
like my balls dropped or something, and my voice has
literally changed, like I don't know what happened, so that all.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
Has gotten a little.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
No.
Speaker 3 (31:46):
I don't like to listen to myself now.
Speaker 5 (31:48):
I could and listening to myself six years ago, I no,
I could.
Speaker 1 (31:53):
I do it, could not bear it. Like I've never
listened to this podcast NARS either, So like I do.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
Like like love all our listeners and thank you guys
for listening. I just yeah, I can't. I don't like
listening to myself.
Speaker 5 (32:07):
There's something very different about listening to yourself. I think
it's just there's some science behind it or whatever. You
sound different.
Speaker 6 (32:16):
Well that's like why people like for a variety of reasons,
but one of them is like the way you hear
yourself is not the same as the way you actually
sound to other people. So it's like got to be
mentally jarring to be like that, that's not my voice
right talking.
Speaker 4 (32:31):
I could watch our clips, like I have no problem
watching our clips and video of it, Like if I
ever watch I'll watch it on YouTube. But I can't
just listen to it, like I need to see us speaking.
Speaker 2 (32:42):
I don't smoke weed, but like the first time I
ever smoked weed, I remember hearing my voice what I
thought was like the first time and really being like,
this is what I sound like.
Speaker 6 (32:58):
Wait, but just like listening to yourself talk, like not
playing it back to you, no, yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:04):
Just listening to myself talk because I was like the
first time, I was like, I was like, whoa, this
is actually I think that's different.
Speaker 3 (33:11):
That's a different thing. You were just really thinking about
you were like, I'm talking right now.
Speaker 2 (33:18):
So you guys have you guys have had like some
like you guys have had a list celebrities on your
on your show. Uh, is there anyone that a you
were like either shocked to get or be like just
I don't know, like somebody who You're like, wow, that
was like that was like a massive star.
Speaker 3 (33:35):
You guys have had some really big ones.
Speaker 5 (33:37):
I feel in the last year I mean just two
weeks ago. Jessica Alba was kind of like, yeah, like
you know Jessica out. Yes, it's like the coolest thing.
Speaker 3 (33:48):
That's amazing. She's the coolest person ever. Yeah, that's awesome.
She was.
Speaker 4 (33:53):
She was so sweet and it was kind of just
like growing up, like you look up to Jessical, but
you're like, oh my god, I want to be Escalbus.
So the fact that she came on our show was
an honor.
Speaker 5 (34:03):
We had a we had a bunch last year that
was like are they sure they know what?
Speaker 3 (34:07):
Uh what? What?
Speaker 1 (34:09):
Who we are?
Speaker 5 (34:10):
Like, which you're like, we had Ashton Kutcher, we had
Joshua Meal, we had James Marson, Drew barrymore.
Speaker 3 (34:16):
Like Katie Page, some really massive.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
Do you ever get nerves? Do you get nervous before
you have somebody like that on?
Speaker 3 (34:24):
Yes? Yes? Absolutely?
Speaker 6 (34:26):
What interview were you the most nervous for? Is there
one that you remember being like, I'm really freaking out
for this.
Speaker 4 (34:33):
I think probably the Jonas brothers, just because we had
like a whole day planned with them. We did like
a brewery tour and it was a whole thing, and
so we had a lot of time with them leading
up to the interview before we sat down, which was
a good thing and also a bad thing because we
had so much time to think about it.
Speaker 3 (34:51):
And it was also one of those.
Speaker 4 (34:52):
Interviews that, like, I felt like we really wanted to nail,
like it had to be perfect because our listeners had
talked like hurt us for a while saying how badly
we wanted them on, so it was like, well, we
have to crush this interview.
Speaker 5 (35:06):
I blacked out during that entire thing, Like, if you
ask me right now, one question that I asked them
during that interview, could not tell you.
Speaker 3 (35:13):
I like, it's brown in my memory.
Speaker 4 (35:15):
Yeah, I do remember a game we played where it
was like this frand or the Jonahs Spellers know the
jonah spellers better?
Speaker 5 (35:21):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (35:21):
Yeah, yeah, and I think fran knew them better.
Speaker 5 (35:24):
No, No, I got a lot of those wrong, and
then I was very upset. Really yeah, I specifically remember
the softball question.
Speaker 3 (35:31):
I was making a joke, but I don't remember the
actual outcome that I do.
Speaker 5 (35:35):
I do slightly remember, but yeah, no, there's and I
feel honestly, sometimes it's the ones you wouldn't expect that
will make us more nervous because we're just like, oh man,
this could be a wild card. Sometimes I get nervous
when I feel like the guest, maybe we have some
(35:58):
restrictions on what to talk about. And then I kind
of am like, okay, well, what if there's a space
and time, like like what if we just run out
of things? Which we never have, But there have been
times where the interview starts off kind of slow, and
like when you're interviewing somebody and they give you like
one word answers and there's no like the kind of
(36:20):
anxiety too.
Speaker 6 (36:21):
I'm always like, what if we look at the timer
and it's only been eighteen minutes, it ran through every
like major topic we had prepared, and the conversation is
just not flowing, And now you're like, well, what do
I ask you right exactly?
Speaker 4 (36:34):
And then you're like kind of like there's no evolving
of the conversation because you didn't really give anything.
Speaker 3 (36:41):
And now we're like.
Speaker 4 (36:42):
I'm like, we were given restrictions on what not to ask,
so now like that it actually makes me more nervous
than than.
Speaker 5 (36:50):
You're not breaking any personal wall where you feel like
you're actually having a conversation. You're just asking questions and
getting answers, and there's no in between conversation where you're like, Okay,
well that's.
Speaker 3 (37:01):
Uh, that's solid answered. You did expand a way where
I take it anywhere.
Speaker 1 (37:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (37:08):
And I and even for our listeners, like I get
upset for them sometimes because I'm like, I bet they're
listening to this and they're like, well.
Speaker 3 (37:17):
Why like ask this or why didn't the conversation go there?
Speaker 4 (37:21):
But there's like stuff that goes on behind the scenes
that maybe they don't know that we were about to
ask something. And then you know, I'm like, ship, I
wish this, like, you know, was a little bit more
in depth.
Speaker 6 (37:30):
Yeah, So for everyone listening, if we don't ask questions
that you wanted us to ask, know that maybe we
just couldn't ask them.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
Yeah, maybe maybe there was just a limit with our
friendship trending upward.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
I was actually nervous about this. What if? Yeah, I
was like, what if they what if? What if this
knocks us down into a three? What if telling us?
Speaker 3 (37:49):
What if we just ran out of things to talk about?
Speaker 1 (37:52):
Those two? I can't. It's just so.
Speaker 2 (37:56):
Any anything you guys would like to share, any exciting
projects coming up, anything that you want to plug.
Speaker 4 (38:04):
Just the usual. Yeah, Chicks in the Office three times
a week. Follow us on Instagram, TikTok, Twitter.
Speaker 3 (38:11):
New episodes Monday, Wednesdays and Friday.
Speaker 4 (38:14):
Very exciting as always, and then you can find our
we have, you know, long last names sometimes, so you
can find our personals on there. Sometimes when when I
start spelling out my last name, I'm like, you know what,
just go look on Chicks in the Office.
Speaker 3 (38:28):
You'll find this.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
I have that same I have that same issue. Wait, Ria,
aren't you doing aren't you doing the Barstool reality reality show?
Speaker 4 (38:37):
It is a reality show surviving Barstool that'll be filmed
in the fall.
Speaker 3 (38:44):
Time.
Speaker 4 (38:44):
Yeah, I have some time thankfully. Uh, super super pumped
for that. I think it's going to be insane. Like
we were just in Chicago at the Baro there. We're
doing in Chicago. We're doing it at the Barsol office there,
and we were just there and Dave was there and
a couple of other people they are doing the show,
and Dave's doing the show as well, and we were
all like kind of talking about it and it was
just it was just funny, like, you know, people are
(39:06):
fishing already. Like I was like, I haven't talked to
anybody about alliances and Dave was like, yeah, right, and
I was like, no, I really have it, but like
nobody believes each other right now, because you know, of course,
we have so much time before it that people are
going to try and start talking to each other before
the show even begins.
Speaker 6 (39:22):
I've actually I've never heard of it until you and
Kelly posted about it and I was like, Joe, did
you see this?
Speaker 3 (39:30):
Like what's going on?
Speaker 6 (39:31):
He was, so he explained to me what it was,
and so I've obviously never watched it, but I kind
of want to see it now.
Speaker 4 (39:35):
I should watch the last season. You guys would eat
it up. I mean they had to. They had to
take it off YouTube and put it up like pay
per view because there were some things that were said
that they that YouTube.
Speaker 3 (39:50):
Like YouTube was like, no, we can't have this.
Speaker 4 (39:52):
Like it's it's it's real reality TV, like things get heated.
Speaker 3 (39:57):
Yeah, it's really really good. So I'm excited for that.
But that's that's in the fall. So I have a
little bit of time.
Speaker 2 (40:03):
My parents' house is just every time I come here,
my dad's doing something change in the bathrooms, the concrete
and the floor.
Speaker 1 (40:09):
I knew concrete, but nothing could be more than five hundred.
No matter what he does. If you charge over a
five hundred, you were you were ripping before before we
let you guys go.
Speaker 2 (40:20):
We're gonna play a quick, rapid fire who's who game.
It literally is gonna take under probably like forty seconds.
Speaker 1 (40:27):
Cool. Uh, I will do it. This is between you two, Okay,
who's the who's the messiest.
Speaker 4 (40:36):
I'm gonna go with Frank because every time I walk
into her hotel room, I'm shocked. Damn I ever say
that my face, Yes, I definitely have.
Speaker 1 (40:48):
I have.
Speaker 3 (40:48):
I always say, oh my god, you put your stuff
on the floor.
Speaker 5 (40:51):
Oh well that that's I don't think that that's that weird.
Speaker 3 (40:55):
Like I will not put my stuff on the.
Speaker 4 (40:57):
Floor the hotel, like your like your luggage, your clothes,
Like I don't.
Speaker 5 (41:03):
I opened my luggage on the floor my hotel room.
Speaker 3 (41:07):
On the floor back alone is enough for her to
be like it appears you put in your bag, you
can't put on the bed.
Speaker 4 (41:13):
You put it on a chair, like they have those
lug they have those things in the closet luggage thing.
Speaker 3 (41:19):
If it's like a like.
Speaker 4 (41:21):
A house with like a clean tile floor, Like, that's different,
but like in a hotel room, I won't with the
carg Yeah, like media and I get that.
Speaker 1 (41:28):
Yeah, that's how people get. That's how people that's how
they get.
Speaker 2 (41:32):
That's how they get warms too, because if you if
you walk on carpet in a hotel, the whole the
carpet literally.
Speaker 3 (41:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (41:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (41:40):
And and my mom always scared me my entire life
about bed bugs, Like when I would bring my luggage home,
she would make me leave it in the garage before
I was able to.
Speaker 3 (41:47):
Bring them in the house. So I think that maybe
it just comes maybe that just comes from that.
Speaker 1 (41:51):
Definitely know all right, well, okay, rabbit fire every time
it was that's it's great. Who's more talkative?
Speaker 3 (42:03):
I think Ria? What was the next question?
