Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi. I'm Samantha Story and I'm Kathleen Couillian. I'm the
executive producer of bed Rock U say. I helped Kathleen
and our host Laura Bliss edit and write all the
stories you just heard, and I am the senior producer
for bed Rock U say. I was with Laura on
the ground every step of the way, interviewing people in

(00:20):
Squim and in Shasta. You're probably wondering where's Laura. She
is off in Cambridge, Massachusetts on a fellowship studying the
science of Cities at m I T. But we are
still here. Yes we are, and we have five more
episodes to go before this season of bed Rock Ussay
comes to a close. That's why you're hearing from us now.

(00:42):
We're here to say hello and introduce ourselves because Kathleen
and I will be co hosting the rest of the season.
But before we tell you about that, first, we want
to hear from you. Yes, we spend all this time
on the ground learning what it takes to run a
small town. Then let me tell you people have opinions

(01:02):
and issues. Mostly we discovered they want their towns to
not feel so broken. Now here's where we need your help.
We want to hear from you. Midterms are coming up,
what's at stake in your town? Who's running for mayor?
Do you even like them? What are you worried about?
Please tell us. We want to hear your stories and

your questions. We would love it if you shared a
voice memo. Voice memos are gold for podcast producers, so
please click on the link in the show notes, or
go to Bloomberg dot com slash Bedrock USA and send
us your stories and questions, or email us a voice

few weeks, we're going to record a round table. We'll
have experts who will be able to answer your questions
and talk about your stories. Just a good old fashioned
sive Hix party, Sam and who doesn't love a civics party.
We'll be back in a couple of weeks. H

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
