Ashley Lytton was a typical mom and wife in suburban Utah with three children until she discovered her husband’s horrifying secret. It was a shocking crime that would alter Ashley’s life and jeopardize the safety of her children. This season of Betrayal will focus on one mother’s fight to find justice for her daughter and protection from a predator too close to home. Once we hear her story, we learn the same crime is happening every day in households all over the country. It’s a betrayal of our families, communities and everything we value in society. Season Two lays the issue bare through the family’s story and takes an honest look at a huge problem most people don’t want to even want to acknowledge.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Last season, millions tuned into the Betrayal Podcast to hear
a shocking story of deception. I'm Andrea Gunning and now
we're sharing an all new story of betrayal. Ashley Linton
was helping her husband Jason launch a new company. She
just needed to set up a business Venmo account.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
So he sent me the log in for his iCloud
and as I'm signing in, he frantically calls me back.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Suddenly he changed his mind. He told her he would
handle it later when he was home.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
I knew by the tenor of his voice that he
was trying to hide something. I thought maybe he bought
something they didn't want me to know about. There was
nothing in his photos, and then I scrolled down and
that's when I saw a hidden folder and I opened it.

(00:56):
You know, when you open your photos, it's going to
show you like a whole bunch of them at once.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
I slammed my computer shut. What the hell did I
just see?

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Then he just started calling me off the hook and
texting me, and I wouldn't respond. I was scared that
he was coming home.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
What Ashley discovered that day was a secret so dark
she feared for her life.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
She was like, Oh my God, I got to get
out of the house.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
He's going to find out that I've seen this. He's
gonna come kill me.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
I got out it stood by my car. I put
my hands together like in prayer emotion. I just said God,
please be with me, and I opened my eyes and.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
I walked towards him.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
