of the show. We are five ish weeks into the season.
Now I have an answer to this question, but I
want to know yours. Who is the NFL MVP right

I haven't looked at the odds. So I'm going straight
off the cuff here.

your selection. I'm curiouscause I think it's a very interesting
time to bet it.

I mean, I think Josh Allen's probably still like the
market favorite, just because he's always kind of up there.
And I think that the Bills in the AFC coming
off even to the loss against the Patriots, so I
think that he probably stilled me my vote. But I
don't know. I think Dak Prescott probably deserves a lot
of recognition for so word as well, just based on
interesting if that Dallas has played. So those are the
first two that kind of come to my mind. I'm
probably forgetting somebody. Somebody's probably getting snubbed, so.

Well, maybe it's the guy that I like, or maybe
Terrell will find out. Look, Dak is plus seventeen hundred
by the way, Josh Allen plus one thirty five. He
is at the top of the board. Terrell, do you
have a front runner in your mind right now for
a NFL MVP.

It's Josh Allen.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Unfortunately, see I want to make a case for Baker Mayfield.
I just do. He's lost Mike Evans. They had that
Tristan Wurst was out for a while. He goes on
the road, wins big games. I don't know if he's
gonna win this week necessarily. We'll talk more about that later.

In the show. He's gonna lay an egg and maybe
he does.

If he does, maybe he does. But plus nine fifty
for Baker Mayfield, I don't know. I'm just saying right now, if.

about maybe the Bucks are the best team in the NFC.
I don't know, putting it out there, just putting it

Maybe that's unfortunate. But we've got picks for you, so
let's get into them. Let's start with the very top
here for Terrell Forman Junior and let's go international because
the boys are actually holding hands on this one. The
Broncos and the Jets of Broncos favored by seven. Why
do you think Terrell that's a safe bet this week?
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Because I'm so out on the Jets. Man, what the Jets.
Of the reason that I lost every bet last week.
He can be tied to the Jets. I mean, yeah, okay,
the Commanders, but like I had the Jets on a
team total, they can't move the ball against the Cowboys defense.
I lose justin Field's rushing yards because they're just a
shell of themselves. Like I mean, I'm sorry forever ever
(02:50):
thinking that this Jets team was even like at all
relevant at all. No, no, it is complete dumpster fire
up there. And then it doesn't make it any better
that they're now going overseas. The Jets left late. The
Broncos left early. The Broncos have been there since they
beat the Eagles. They really didn't even get to celebrate
beating the Eagles because they right on the plane going

over there, getting ready for the next week. And I
am a person that has been deployed on that side
of the world. I know how it feels to get
over there. That first day, even the second day, even
the third day, you're still really really feeling the effects.
But once you're a weekend, once you've been there for
a week.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Oh you're good. You think you lived there your whole life?
Speaker 2 (03:33):
No, no, no way, the Jets are lasting past Dvoa
right now. No way, no way, Bonnicks is gonna carve
up this Jets defense. Give me the Broncos laying the seven.
I tried to get cute, and I thought, Hm, should
I take the team total? Should I do? No? No,
I just just don't think the Jets gonna be in
this game. Give me the Broncos.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
So Jet lag is what we're talking about here for
the New York Jets very much. See what I did there.
I will say this too, I actually cashed all my
Jet bets last week because I hit the over on
the fields passing total, I hit the Garrett Wilson over
and I hit the Garrett Wilson TD. So I mean
you got to take what you can get there with
the Jets. It was all sloppy at the end, but

it all came through at the end of the day.
So I actually went three for three on my Jets
bets last week. Andrew Ericson, you were welcome to pile
on the Jets too if you like. Right now, and
I know what's where else thinking? I think a lot
of us thought, Hey, Erinon, Glenn's a good football guy.
He's gonna bring some disciplines and running football. You no,
it hasn't happened, Like it just hasn't happened. But there
was reason to think that. And I understand why you
thought it, because I kind of thought the same thing.
(04:34):
The Jets are, like, we're good head coaching prospects go
to die. I thought Robert Sala was a really good
young head coach. Potentially. I think Aaron glenn is maybe still.
But man, oh man, it's just rough out there for
the green how about you ericson what do you want
to pile on here on this one?
Speaker 3 (04:49):
Yeah? I also take the Broncos here. And we see
this all the time when teams go to London, Right,
some guys are out missing meetings, you know, exploring London.
Which team do you think that's more likely to happen
to this week? Right? We get a report, Oh, why
is Briess Hall? You know, not not calling up Breess Hell,
but just an example, like, you know, why Sus Gardner
not on the first drive because oh he missed a
meeting because they were, you know, having fun in Big

Ben or like something along those lines. Because we talked
about last year, all the Jets stuff is self inflicted
wounds like the most penalized team. It's just it's a
total mess. And I don't think that going to London
against the Denver broncces is going to fix things for
the New York Jets.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
No.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
The one thing they just have been able to do
is actually score points in garbage time like that has
really been especially for fantasy football purposes. Justin fields. Don't
watch the first three quarters. Fourth quarter comes, he turns
into Superman. He scores all these fantasy points. The Denver
Broncos have a lot of the second fewest points in
the fourth quarter of the season and in the second half.
So if the garbage time points run out, I think
it's going to be in a specific matchup. I think
(05:49):
on paper, this matchup is brutal for the Jets. They
have a cornerback who can take away the number one
passing game for the Jets with Garrett Wilson put Patrick
Sartan on it, and that means the Broncos have to
be beaten by the Jets with Mason Taylor and brisall
out of the backfield. That's a bet that you want
to make if you're the Denver Broncos. So we know
Boonix traditionally is much better as a favorite, especially as

a heavy favorite. Heavy favorites also perform much better internationally.
So last week the favorites one. So yeah, I'm all aboard,
riding the Denver Broncos here and just continuing to fade
the jet lag. As you so politely put Joe, this.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
Is why I'm in the one chair. Everybody, All right,
let's talk about the Chargers and the Dolphins here, And
I gotta tell you, Trell, I think we see this
one very differently. This one scares a crap out of me.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
Four range outcome game, Joe.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
Yeah, yeah, so let's talk about it. Let's talk about it,
because I'm sure me feeling bad about it makes you
feel even better about it. But I want to talk
about this because you have offensive line issues, you have
running back issues, you have a team that's struggling. You
have defensive issues too. Khalil Max still out for this
team too. There's a lot of injuries. And look, the
Chargers are certainly have the better quarterback, the better head coach,

are a better team. But the best team doesn't always win.
We've seen that plenty of times every single week. Right,
If this was in the Chargers backyard, I feel differently,
but also Chargers on the road. Look, I think there's
a bit of desperation when it comes to the Miami Dolphins.
I don't like the Dolphins, you know that, But I
don't feel good about the Chiefs. So sell me on
(07:17):
why I should feel better about them and the number
they have to cover this week, which again is not small,
necessarily a four and a half.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
All right, so let's talk about the last thing you'd
talk one of the last things you talked about, and
this not being in the Chargers backyard. Well, first of all,
the Chargers have one of those town homes that don't
even have a backyard. The Chargers don't have a backyard.
Every game is a road game for the Charge so
this is this is nothing different than what they're used to.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
Did you see how much red was in.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
That stadium last That was the companion. No, they don't
have a backyard, so we're perfectly fine with that. Second
of all, the Dolphins only win it's against the aforemission Jets.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
That's it.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
The Jets are lasting past Dvoa. The Dolphins are second
to last, as the jet will jet it up. The
Dolphins find ways to lose games, and for majority of
that game, they clearly look better than the Miami Dolphins,
and then they just turned off the switch. They just
stopped playing football. They could not generate pressure. I mean,

I don't think that the Chargers offensive line is any good,
but I don't think that the Panthers offensive line is
any good either. And they literally could not get pressure
on Brychslawn towards the end of that game. And so
if I'm sitting here and I'm saying that this team
really really struggles, they get pressure at one of the
last rates in the NFL. And you have a Chargers
offense that, yes they're struggling at the running back position,
but they've been throwing the ball like sixty six percent
(08:40):
clip this season in terms of percent of their plays.
And as they last week, they did not game plan
for that offensive line to be that bad. I think
that that really caught them off guard of Oh, this
offensive line sucks. They were trying to get plays downfield
and they did not have the time for it. Now
it's a different game plan. Oh wait, this week, we
know one hundred percent this offensive line sucks, So let's
(09:01):
get the ball out quick to lat Mcconakee Keenan Allen
and those options instead of trying to wait for a
quick and Jostin to develop something down to few like.
I think this is going to be the get right
week for the Chargers. I trust Harball way more than McDaniel.
Give me the Chargers land the points. I feel great
about this, all right.

I'm glad you feel great. I don't. We'll see. I
don't want to bet against Trell he's been hot, but
we'll see who the rest of the jaos just I

here on your list as we look ahead two week six. Here,
let's talk about the Colts, the team that has certainly
gotten off a really good start here with new quarterback
Daniel Jones. Shane Stikeen's gotta be loving this. I kind

of wonder should they be trying to lock up Daniel
Jones a long term deal ericson, you think that's that's
something they should like. The longer you wait on this,
the more it might cost you. But then if you
do it too soon, the more it might cost you.
I know, I'm torn about this whole Indianapolis Colts Daniel
Jones contract potential situation. But where are you at with
the game coming up in Week six?
Speaker 3 (09:57):
I want to bet on the Colts when they are
a favorite. This has been a very strong trend in
the Shane Stike and era. He owns the second best
record against the spread as a favorite sixty nine percent
eleven and five, and we're facing Arizona Cardinals, who may
be without Kyler Murray. He did not practice on Wednesday.
I actually don't think that he is going to play.
Fantasy Pros has this are they playing tool that takes

a lot of data and basically spits out a percentage
of what are the odds of this player plays thirty
percent for Kyler Murray to play this week, so I'm
leaning into that, and I don't think he's going to play.
So I think this line is going to move more
in favor of the Colts when Jacobe gets announced as
the starting quarterback. So I want to be aggressive on it.
I like the Colts here as home favorites, and I
(10:38):
think Arizona is just kind of trending in the wrong
direction after last week's utter collapse. Against the Tennessee Titans.
You know, it's funny we're seeing to the two teams
that had the two bonehead to plays over the last
two weeks. We're dropping the touchdown at the goal line.
We sell the Colts rebound in a really really big way.
We'll see how Arizona not as optimistic that they do
rebound in a really really big way. Because I think

that the just handled it so differently, Like Jonathan Gannon
was freaking out on the sideline, he had the altercation
with de Mercado, he got fined for it, where Shane
Stiken did everything after the game, he sat down to
ad the night Mitchell he benched him for the following
week and now they're they're ready to move on. So
I think this might hangover the Cardinals a little bit more,
and that just has me concerned for them in this
matchup on the road without Kyler Murray or not at

on the road here, going to play against the vision opponent,
against the Pittsburgh Steelers, whose defense looks really really good
now they're getting healthier. You might not have Jalen Ramsey
with the tweak hamstring a couple of weeks ago, but
you got Joey Porter Junior. He was a full practice
this week. Alex high Smith was upgraded to limited now

he looks like he could be prepping to return this week.
Cole Holcom came back after that gruesome run injury, and
what people thought was a bad Steelers defense to begin
the season got way better after Cole got back in
the lineup. Because he's so good in the run game,
he makes the run game stronger. They play him great
in tandem with Peyton Wilson, who covers the passing game,
and they just have a really, really good scheme. I
(17:01):
think that they are going to take a jet lagged
Browns team that is now coming back home, now having
to play another game, now going through all the changes
that they're going through, the organization, moving on from Flacco,
moving on from Newsome, bringing in Campbell, Like, I don't
think it's going to be good for this Browns team
offensively on that side of ball, going up against the
Steelers defense. I will take the Browns team total under
(17:23):
sixteen a half.

I think they get two touchdowns in a field goal
and that's seventeen. I think they can do it.

So they've been under that in three of their last
five games against Steelers.

gets as they trade away Joe Flacca, one less QB
to worry about here.

All right, you've got some feelings about this game too, ericson,
so let's talk about why you're on the Steelers minus
five and a half.

Yeah, I like the Steelers against the spread.

I talked about betting against rookie quarterbacks last week, and
that went too and H and guys making their first
road starts. Now, technically Gabriel was a neutral venue, so
technically it wasn't even his first road start. This is
technically his first road start. So Jackson Dart obviously not
delivered in his first road start against the Saints. So
this is a trend I want to continue to bet on,
and that's betting against Still and Gabriel for the quarterback
(18:15):
making his first start. Also, the Browns, they are another
team that has stark home road splits. They played two
road games this year again, not including the London game.
They got blown out in both of those contests. So
I'm not optimistic about this Browns team overall. And I
love backing Mike Tomlin with rest advantage. I know that
Andy Reid gets a lot of the credit for Andy

Reid off the buy you can't stop this guy well.
Since twenty twenty two, the second best team against the
spread with rest advantage is the Pittsburgh Steelers ten and
four against the spread. We already talked about how they've
been able to dominate the Cleveland Browns playing at home.
I have faith in Aaron Rodgers. The defense is getting
healthier to get a win by over five and a
half points against the Browns.

great about that. And every time I seem to discount
the Lions on the road, it bites me in the
rear end. So I'm just not gonna do it. I'm
staying away from this game. But you are not, Terrell.
Tell me why.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
Yeah, I think that. Honestly, I wasn't mad at what
I saw from the Chiefs. I thought that it was
more indicative of no I thought that the Jacks really
just played a really good game. I thought the Jacks
defense made some really big plays in that secondary, and
then they got home sleeping on the interception that came back.
So I feel really good about the fact that this
(20:14):
Lions team is now the beat up team we used
to talk about after you played the Lions. Injury reporter
looks long not really a good bet on the next week.
We'll see what the Bengals do this week. But I
will say is that this Lions secondary is hurt. DJ
Reid is out. Terran Arnold looks like he's gonna be
(20:36):
done for the year, but it looks like he's got
a second opinion. He might be able to come back,
but he's still out for this game. Carrie Joseph missed practice.
He didn't practice, Zach Cunningham miss practice as well. Brian
Brash was limited, and then Khalif Raymond and I'm and
Raw both were DMPs as well. Like now, I expect
some of these guys to end up playing when we
get the Sunday, but it's still a battered, beat up
(20:59):
Lions team, especially in the secondary, going up against a
Chiefs offensive line that took that Super Bowl's loss very
very personally. They upgrade the offensive line, their PFS six
graded offensive line right now, and they look the part
and look like it. Mahomes is able to move around
the pocket, move with his legs and stend plays as well,
and you see the big plays to thwart In, the
(21:20):
plays to Juju, the plays to Worthy like all of that.
So another week of healthier Worthy is gonna be even
better for this Chiefs offense. I think that Patrick Mahomes
is going to carve up this secondary and he's gonna
go up and down the field. I love Chiefs laying
two and a half here.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
All right, let's get to the next one here in
the New England Patriots coming off a huge win Monday
Night football, still on a high. I'm not gonna lie,
still feel really good about that one, Andrew Erickson. They
are three and a half point favorites on the road
against the Saints, who have been plucky of late. Let's
make no mistake about that, right. They beat the Giants
last week, which we called on the show a week before,
they kind of took it to the Buffalo Bills, which,
by the way, that defense not great. I know they
(21:57):
got some injuries, but still enough is enough here. It's
not making uses for the Buffalo Bills last couple of weeks.
But let's take a look at the Patriots. Why are
you confident that they can cover this three and a half?
Speaker 3 (22:06):
Well? I think it's interesting because we've seen both of
these teams go up to Buffalo in the last two
weeks and both cover those spreads. Now, the Patriots ended
up winning outright, but I think it's interesting because the
market deemed the Saints as two touchdowns inferior to the
Buffalo Bills, but then one touchdown in fear to the Patriots.
So if you're doing the math, that means that the
patriot should be a touchdown favorite against the Saints in
a neutral site. Now this game is on the road,
(22:27):
so you are considering that. But I don't think that
three and a half points is enough for the Patriots,
so I think it should be closer to four and
a half or five, which is why I like laying
the points with the Patriots. I know that all the
talk is about Drake May this emerging superstar, but what
I've been most impressed by is the return of Christian
Gonzales and how that has completely transformed this Patriots defense.
They blanked the Panthers essentially at home. Now, okay, that
(22:50):
was the Panthers, so let's see what they do against Buffalo.
Buffalo scores thirty points against every single team. They didn't
do that at home against the new of the Patriots
with Christian Zales back in lineup. So I think the Saints'
offense is going to struggle. We've seen them kind of
pop off the last two weeks because able to run
the football. You know, it's one of the best run
defenses in the NFL this season. The New England Patriots,
(23:10):
so I think they can make life hard for Spencer
rather or make them make him more one dimensional. You
can take out certain receivers, you can remove a lobby
from the game using Christian Gonzales. So I just like
a lot of the advantages from the Patriots side of
things here, even on the road. So give me the
Patriots laying the points, all.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
Right, Patriots with the points for Andrew Erk. So let's go.
That's schedule for the Patriots really easy the next couple
of weeks. A lot of wins in there, just saying
if they do it right.
Speaker 3 (23:36):
And to make up for that the blunder of the
week one loss to the Raiders.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
Well that's how I looked at it. I was like, look,
you're not supposed to beat the Buffalo Bills in Buffalo,
but you're also not supposed to lose at home in
week one to the Raiders, so things even out a
little bit. So we're back on trap just in a
weird way. That's the NFL. All right, Let's get to
the last one here for the Boys, and then we're
going to get the upsets special of the week, which,
by the way, I hit last week. Let's go Terrell
going back to that Chiefs situation here. I think this
(24:00):
might be the best approach to that game for me.
So let's talk about the team total over twenty seven
and a half.
Speaker 2 (24:06):
Yeah, doubling up here on the Chiefs. Give me over
on a seen toto as well. That secondary is really
really bad right now. Without Arnold, without Reid, those are
two really and they're down another one. And Carrie Joseph
if he's not able to play in that game as
a safety, then they're really down four bodies in that secondary.
And now you're going up against Patrick Mahomes that has confidence.
(24:27):
Look what he did to that Ravens secondary that was
beat up, battered, bruising, not playing well. He torched him
for thirty seven points in a big game where he
had to have it. This Chiefs team does not want
to go to two and four. You cannot go to
two and four. You gotta find a way to win
this game, and it's going to be on the back
of Patrick Mahomes in prime time. And then guess what
(24:49):
everybody talks about. The reps are always cheating for the Chiefs,
Then just better on the Chiefs. I keep saying it.
If you think they keep cheating for them, just keep.
Speaker 4 (24:58):
Better on them.
Speaker 2 (25:00):
So now we're gonna be here in another primetime game
where the Chiefs back's gonna get against the wall again
and they're gonna get some flukey call, and everybody gonna
say all the resks are cheating because all the public
is on the Lions. Everybody likes Lions. This week, I
think that the Chiefs are gonna win the game. I
think it's gonna be on the back of Patrick Mahomes
in this offense and how they're gonna be able to
move the ball on that chief secondary. So yes, Chiefs
(25:23):
Lan's soon to have Chiefs team total over. I'm playing
both all.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
Right, we have it everybody last, but not least this one.
I bet early from of our early line show when
it was still Seahawks getting plus money. By the way,
as the upset, I couldn't use it. They already put
it in Monday. I was like, ah, it's great, upset
here special, this is lock. I already bet it. Now
it's moved. Now they're the favorite by the time. We
got to record this on Thursday. So I can't do
(25:47):
that one anymore. But for the record, go check it
out Seattle. Let's go Andrew Rickson. Let's talk about this one.
They're getting plus one and a half in some markets. Again,
you can find this over at betting pros find the
best consensus lying because it's practically a pick. And I
know the Jags did a great job, I know as
a very emotional win, but the Jags really did fall
into some lucky spots there. Now, I will say this,
(26:07):
and we talked about this as well, that it takes
a little while for the offense, you know, to learn
the new Liam Cone system, and it starts to look
like things are going better here for the Jags. However,
I really like this Seattle team. This is a team
that I thought the win total I think it was
eight and a half they said it. I thought it
was far too low considering they were a team last year.
They played really good defense, so Eric so let's talk
about the Seattle Seahawks right now this week.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
Yeah, Seattle was the team that I definitely was the
I was the most wrong about Seattle in the offseason.
I did not like them a lot, and I'm trying
to make up ground because my season long bets on
the Seattle Sticks are not going to come to fruition
and I wish that I bet the unders on the
Cardinals instead of the Seahawks. So I'm changing my tune
here because of what I've seen over the last couple
of weeks, and I love Seattle in this spot on
(26:52):
the road. Since Mike McDonald took over as the head coach,
the Seahawks have lost one road game. They're nine and
one straight up on the road since it started twenty
two and the only loss they have was against the
Detroit Lions, which one of the better teams in the NFL,
who beats basically anybody at home because they score so
many points. So against Jacksonville, I agree with you, Joe.
I think this should be closer to a pick them.
(27:12):
I think that the Jaguars are just kind of favored because,
oh well, they beat the Chiefs, saying they're at home,
like let's just make them favorites when we know the
luck for the Jacksonville Jaguars eventually is going to run out.
I mean Trevor Lawrence, he's literally on the ground and
it gets up and scores the touchdown. So they leave
the NFL in turnovers. They have fourteen turnovers through five weeks.
(27:33):
Jets have zero. I just wanted to mention that. And
I think that eventually their luck is going to run out.
And I think that when you look at the way
the Seahawks offense is built. They play good defense and
they run the football effectively. That is why they've been
so successful on the road, because that's a winning formula
for football games. When you're going and traveling on the road,
established the run, you play strong defense. You're not this
(27:55):
high flying attack where if things aren't going right you
can run to issues playing away from home. So I
like Seattle a lot. Here just good how you're always
getting to die with them playing on the road Jacksonville
on a short week. Actually, jack the Jaguars have failed
to cover the spread nine of their last ten home
games when they're playing with the rest disadvantage. So that's
another thing that's kind of working in favor of Seattle.
(28:16):
I think there is some and when said, well, Jacksonville
playing off a big Monday night win, Like you said,
I think this works in the Seahawks favor So they're
my again. I picked four favorites. This is my one
under dog for this week.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
Yeah again, Like I said, right now, I'm looking in
some of the markets. I can't find the underdog Seahawks
in a lot of spots anymore. So I don't want to.
I don't want to, you know, be off kilter here.
I want to keep it real for the audience. So
my my official one is still the Seahawks wherever you
could find it. But I've already seen that warm turn
and a lot of markets here already. So by the
time people see this or it gets to the weekend,
(28:50):
they're gonna say, what are you talking about? Seattle is
not plus money anymore?
Speaker 3 (28:53):
Well, where are you seeing that? Because the last time
I checked.
Speaker 1 (28:55):
Out, I can't say because they're not the sponsor of
the show, but I will say it's in a couple
of markets anywhere it's turned. So I will say that
now hard rock bet that might not be the case,
which is why you download the apps. They did there
see what did support the sponsor because hard rock bet
still get it right now. But again, my fear is
by the time we get to where we're going, it
might not be there. So I'm gonna pivot. I'm gonna

pivot now. Look this breaks my heart because last week
I told you Baker mayfielderdog, we told you. I told you.
But I'm the one putting my neck out here for
the Upset Special and I'm now two and three because
Baker Mayfield is responsible for both of those victories the show.
I just want to point out I am and.

And that's why you're really like you're playing with fire here.

I'll say that I am playing with fire, but hear
me out. This is one of those classic hearing me
out moments. Is my youngest daughter. We're saying that to
hear me out. So I'm hedging this one though, because
at the top of the show, I told you. I
still like Baker Mayfield is potentially getting buzz for m VP.
I feel like the media is really embracing the vibes
of Baker Mayfield. I think that they are one of

the best teams in the NFC, and if they go
on a magical run here and somehow get the one seed.
By season's in Egles look a little weird to me.
The Lions again have been really good, but let's see
how it shakes out. Baker Mayfield, to me, I think
has a shot. But this week at home as a favorite,
you can't love it. You just can't love it. And
I've seen enough out of Mac Jones in the system.
(30:20):
If Mac Jones has to play quarterback in the forty
nine ers, I am mad at it. He went in
there and look, I cash big money. On Thursday night,
I told everybody it was five and a half and
then during the show it moved to plus seven and
I said, boys and girls, lock it in. There's no
way they're not covering this seven And they just won outright,
So Sana fran plus one forty two to find a
way to somehow win until the wheels fall off of
(30:42):
Christian McCaffrey. Literally, this is what they're gonna do, and
they're just gonna keep pushing this, and I think this
is gonna be one where maybe Baker doesn't pull the
rabbit out of his hat this time, but if he does,
my plus nine to fifty MVP bet by the time
we wake up Monday morning, is gonna look like plus
five hundred, just saying all of a sudden, that line
is gonna change dramatically. This will be a huge win.
(31:02):
So I'm hedging this one. I'm willing to take the
loss for the long term game, but I'm also willing
to say that long term game is still in play
even if they lose this week and I win in
to get my upset special. I hope you follow that logic.
If not, you can rewind the video and listen to

here's the parlay of the week, oh to five. So

either side of this game, so I'm sure it'll be
thirteen ten the Rams. Let's go to the team zone
on the Rams playing the Ravens. They're just getting rid

of everybody, trading every it's over. Baltimore's is running the
white flag up right now, and the Rams right now,
I think need to take out some aggression and I
think they're gonna do it on the Baltimore Ravens after
that terrible loss that they took on Thursday night. So
give me the Rams total twenty six and a half.
I can't believe neither of you pick this one. This
is like a gimme. I feel like where they're just
gonna open a can of woop bas here on that
(32:07):
Ravens defense, plus the offense can't move the football. You're
not gonna get Lamar again for this game. And last,
but not least, I'm going to break away with my
good pal Royl Ferman Junior. I'm gonna take the over
sixteen and a half the Cleveland Brown's team total right now,
and I'll tell you why they're getting younger and more
athletic right in front of our eyes. Dylan Gabriel, Harold
Fannon Junior. Right, You've got You've got Isaiah Bond, Quinshawn Judkins.
(32:29):
All of a sudden, this team is much younger, much
quicker and doesn't know any better and they don't really care. Yeah,
you know, it's just like you know, back in the
day when you used to party, and yeah, you could
go to London one weekend and wake up the next
week in Peoria or Pittsburgh and find yourself having to
play a Pittsburgh Steeler team And that's just the life
of a young college guy. And that's basically what these
guys are right now. So I don't think this whole
travel thing is gonna affect the Browns quite as much
(32:51):
as Terrell does. I don't think they win, but I
think they can get two touchdowns at a field goal.
So give me the over there. If you put those
three things together, you get plus three ninety seven and maybe,
just maybe I'll get on the board this week. But

I mean, I think Josh Allen's probably still like the
market favorite, just because he's always kind of up there.
And I think that the Bills in the AFC coming
off even to the loss against the Patriots, so I
think that he probably stilled me my vote. But I
don't know. I think Dak Prescott probably deserves a lot
of recognition for so word as well, just based on
interesting if that Dallas has played. So those are the
first two that kind of come to my mind. I'm
probably forgetting somebody. Somebody's probably getting snubbed, so.

Well, maybe it's the guy that I like, or maybe
Terrell will find out. Look, Dak is plus seventeen hundred
by the way, Josh Allen plus one thirty five. He
is at the top of the board. Terrell, do you
have a front runner in your mind right now for
a NFL MVP.

It's Josh Allen.

Unfortunately, see I want to make a case for Baker Mayfield.
I just do. He's lost Mike Evans. They had that
Tristan Wurst was out for a while. He goes on
the road, wins big games. I don't know if he's
gonna win this week necessarily. We'll talk more about that later.

In the show. He's gonna lay an egg and maybe
he does.

let's get into them. Let's start with the very top
here for Terrell Forman Junior and let's go international because
the boys are actually holding hands on this one. The
Broncos and the Jets of Broncos favored by seven. Why
do you think Terrell that's a safe bet this week?
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Because I'm so out on the Jets. Man, what the Jets.
Of the reason that I lost every bet last week.
He can be tied to the Jets. I mean, yeah, okay,
the Commanders, but like I had the Jets on a
team total, they can't move the ball against the Cowboys defense.
I lose justin Field's rushing yards because they're just a
shell of themselves. Like I mean, I'm sorry forever ever
(02:50):
thinking that this Jets team was even like at all
relevant at all. No, no, it is complete dumpster fire
up there. And then it doesn't make it any better
that they're now going overseas. The Jets left late. The
Broncos left early. The Broncos have been there since they
beat the Eagles. They really didn't even get to celebrate
beating the Eagles because they right on the plane going
(03:10):
over there, getting ready for the next week. And I
am a person that has been deployed on that side
of the world. I know how it feels to get
over there. That first day, even the second day, even
the third day, you're still really really feeling the effects.
But once you're a weekend, once you've been there for
a week.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Oh you're good. You think you lived there your whole life?
Speaker 2 (03:33):
No, no, no way, the Jets are lasting past Dvoa
right now. No way, no way, Bonnicks is gonna carve
up this Jets defense. Give me the Broncos laying the seven.
I tried to get cute, and I thought, Hm, should
I take the team total? Should I do? No? No,
I just just don't think the Jets gonna be in
this game. Give me the Broncos.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
So Jet lag is what we're talking about here for
the New York Jets very much. See what I did there.
I will say this too, I actually cashed all my
Jet bets last week because I hit the over on
the fields passing total, I hit the Garrett Wilson over
and I hit the Garrett Wilson TD. So I mean
you got to take what you can get there with
the Jets. It was all sloppy at the end, but
(04:14):
it all came through at the end of the day.
So I actually went three for three on my Jets
bets last week. Andrew Ericson, you were welcome to pile
on the Jets too if you like. Right now, and
I know what's where else thinking? I think a lot
of us thought, Hey, Erinon, Glenn's a good football guy.
He's gonna bring some disciplines and running football. You no,
it hasn't happened, Like it just hasn't happened. But there
was reason to think that. And I understand why you
thought it, because I kind of thought the same thing.
(04:34):
The Jets are, like, we're good head coaching prospects go
to die. I thought Robert Sala was a really good
young head coach. Potentially. I think Aaron glenn is maybe still.
But man, oh man, it's just rough out there for
the green how about you ericson what do you want
to pile on here on this one?
Speaker 3 (04:49):
Yeah? I also take the Broncos here. And we see
this all the time when teams go to London, Right,
some guys are out missing meetings, you know, exploring London.
Which team do you think that's more likely to happen
to this week? Right? We get a report, Oh, why
is Briess Hall? You know, not not calling up Breess Hell,
but just an example, like, you know, why Sus Gardner
not on the first drive because oh he missed a
meeting because they were, you know, having fun in Big
(05:10):
Ben or like something along those lines. Because we talked
about last year, all the Jets stuff is self inflicted
wounds like the most penalized team. It's just it's a
total mess. And I don't think that going to London
against the Denver broncces is going to fix things for
the New York Jets.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
No.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
The one thing they just have been able to do
is actually score points in garbage time like that has
really been especially for fantasy football purposes. Justin fields. Don't
watch the first three quarters. Fourth quarter comes, he turns
into Superman. He scores all these fantasy points. The Denver
Broncos have a lot of the second fewest points in
the fourth quarter of the season and in the second half.
So if the garbage time points run out, I think
it's going to be in a specific matchup. I think
(05:49):
on paper, this matchup is brutal for the Jets. They
have a cornerback who can take away the number one
passing game for the Jets with Garrett Wilson put Patrick
Sartan on it, and that means the Broncos have to
be beaten by the Jets with Mason Taylor and brisall
out of the backfield. That's a bet that you want
to make if you're the Denver Broncos. So we know
Boonix traditionally is much better as a favorite, especially as
(06:10):
a heavy favorite. Heavy favorites also perform much better internationally.
So last week the favorites one. So yeah, I'm all aboard,
riding the Denver Broncos here and just continuing to fade
the jet lag. As you so politely put Joe, this.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
Is why I'm in the one chair. Everybody, All right,
let's talk about the Chargers and the Dolphins here, And
I gotta tell you, Trell, I think we see this
one very differently. This one scares a crap out of me.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
Four range outcome game, Joe.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
Yeah, yeah, so let's talk about it. Let's talk about it,
because I'm sure me feeling bad about it makes you
feel even better about it. But I want to talk
about this because you have offensive line issues, you have
running back issues, you have a team that's struggling. You
have defensive issues too. Khalil Max still out for this
team too. There's a lot of injuries. And look, the
Chargers are certainly have the better quarterback, the better head coach,
(06:57):
are a better team. But the best team doesn't always win.
We've seen that plenty of times every single week. Right,
If this was in the Chargers backyard, I feel differently,
but also Chargers on the road. Look, I think there's
a bit of desperation when it comes to the Miami Dolphins.
I don't like the Dolphins, you know that, But I
don't feel good about the Chiefs. So sell me on
(07:17):
why I should feel better about them and the number
they have to cover this week, which again is not small,
necessarily a four and a half.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
All right, so let's talk about the last thing you'd
talk one of the last things you talked about, and
this not being in the Chargers backyard. Well, first of all,
the Chargers have one of those town homes that don't
even have a backyard. The Chargers don't have a backyard.
Every game is a road game for the Charge so
this is this is nothing different than what they're used to.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
Did you see how much red was in.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
That stadium last That was the companion. No, they don't
have a backyard, so we're perfectly fine with that. Second
of all, the Dolphins only win it's against the aforemission Jets.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
That's it.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
The Jets are lasting past Dvoa. The Dolphins are second
to last, as the jet will jet it up. The
Dolphins find ways to lose games, and for majority of
that game, they clearly look better than the Miami Dolphins,
and then they just turned off the switch. They just
stopped playing football. They could not generate pressure. I mean,
(08:19):
I don't think that the Chargers offensive line is any good,
but I don't think that the Panthers offensive line is
any good either. And they literally could not get pressure
on Brychslawn towards the end of that game. And so
if I'm sitting here and I'm saying that this team
really really struggles, they get pressure at one of the
last rates in the NFL. And you have a Chargers

and they did not have the time for it. Now

get the ball out quick to lat Mcconakee Keenan Allen
and those options instead of trying to wait for a
quick and Jostin to develop something down to few like.

I want to bet on the Colts when they are
a favorite. This has been a very strong trend in

I actually don't think that he is going to play.

think Arizona is just kind of trending in the wrong
direction after last week's utter collapse. Against the Tennessee Titans.

two weeks. We're dropping the touchdown at the goal line.

We'll see how Arizona not as optimistic that they do

the season got way better after Cole got back in
the lineup. Because he's so good in the run game,
he makes the run game stronger. They play him great
in tandem with Peyton Wilson, who covers the passing game,
and they just have a really, really good scheme. I

think that they are going to take a jet lagged
Browns team that is now coming back home, now having
to play another game, now going through all the changes
that they're going through, the organization, moving on from Flacco,
moving on from Newsome, bringing in Campbell, Like, I don't
think it's going to be good for this Browns team
offensively on that side of ball, going up against the
Steelers defense. I will take the Browns team total under

this is a trend I want to continue to bet on,
and that's betting against Still and Gabriel for the quarterback

making his first start. Also, the Browns, they are another
team that has stark home road splits. They played two
road games this year again, not including the London game.
They got blown out in both of those contests. So
I'm not optimistic about this Browns team overall. And I
love backing Mike Tomlin with rest advantage. I know that
Andy Reid gets a lot of the credit for Andy

Reid off the buy you can't stop this guy well.
Since twenty twenty two, the second best team against the
spread with rest advantage is the Pittsburgh Steelers ten and
four against the spread. We already talked about how they've
been able to dominate the Cleveland Browns playing at home.

healthier to get a win by over five and a

Yeah, I think that. Honestly, I wasn't mad at what
I saw from the Chiefs. I thought that it was
more indicative of no I thought that the Jacks really
just played a really good game. I thought the Jacks
defense made some really big plays in that secondary, and
then they got home sleeping on the interception that came back.
So I feel really good about the fact that this

Lions team is now the beat up team we used
to talk about after you played the Lions. Injury reporter
looks long not really a good bet on the next week.
We'll see what the Bengals do this week. But I
will say is that this Lions secondary is hurt. DJ
Reid is out. Terran Arnold looks like he's gonna be

done for the year, but it looks like he's got
a second opinion. He might be able to come back,
but he's still out for this game. Carrie Joseph missed practice.
He didn't practice, Zach Cunningham miss practice as well. Brian
Brash was limited, and then Khalif Raymond and I'm and
Raw both were DMPs as well. Like now, I expect
some of these guys to end up playing when we
get the Sunday, but it's still a battered, beat up

Lions team, especially in the secondary, going up against a
Chiefs offensive line that took that Super Bowl's loss very
very personally. They upgrade the offensive line, their PFS six
graded offensive line right now, and they look the part
and look like it. Mahomes is able to move around
the pocket, move with his legs and stend plays as well,
and you see the big plays to thwart In, the
(21:20):
plays to Juju, the plays to Worthy like all of that.
So another week of healthier Worthy is gonna be even
better for this Chiefs offense. I think that Patrick Mahomes
is going to carve up this secondary and he's gonna
go up and down the field. I love Chiefs laying
two and a half here.

All right, let's get to the next one here in
the New England Patriots coming off a huge win Monday
Night football, still on a high. I'm not gonna lie,
still feel really good about that one, Andrew Erickson. They
are three and a half point favorites on the road
against the Saints, who have been plucky of late. Let's
make no mistake about that, right. They beat the Giants
last week, which we called on the show a week before,
they kind of took it to the Buffalo Bills, which,
by the way, that defense not great. I know they
(21:57):
got some injuries, but still enough is enough here. It's
not making uses for the Buffalo Bills last couple of weeks.
But let's take a look at the Patriots. Why are
you confident that they can cover this three and a half?
Speaker 3 (22:06):
Well? I think it's interesting because we've seen both of
these teams go up to Buffalo in the last two
weeks and both cover those spreads. Now, the Patriots ended
up winning outright, but I think it's interesting because the
market deemed the Saints as two touchdowns inferior to the
Buffalo Bills, but then one touchdown in fear to the Patriots.
So if you're doing the math, that means that the
patriot should be a touchdown favorite against the Saints in
a neutral site. Now this game is on the road,
(22:27):
so you are considering that. But I don't think that
three and a half points is enough for the Patriots,
so I think it should be closer to four and
a half or five, which is why I like laying
the points with the Patriots. I know that all the
talk is about Drake May this emerging superstar, but what
I've been most impressed by is the return of Christian
Gonzales and how that has completely transformed this Patriots defense.
They blanked the Panthers essentially at home. Now, okay, that
(22:50):
was the Panthers, so let's see what they do against Buffalo.
Buffalo scores thirty points against every single team. They didn't
do that at home against the new of the Patriots
with Christian Zales back in lineup. So I think the Saints'
offense is going to struggle. We've seen them kind of
pop off the last two weeks because able to run
the football. You know, it's one of the best run
defenses in the NFL this season. The New England Patriots,
(23:10):
so I think they can make life hard for Spencer
rather or make them make him more one dimensional. You
can take out certain receivers, you can remove a lobby
from the game using Christian Gonzales. So I just like
a lot of the advantages from the Patriots side of
things here, even on the road. So give me the
Patriots laying the points, all.

Right, Patriots with the points for Andrew Erk. So let's go.
That's schedule for the Patriots really easy the next couple
of weeks. A lot of wins in there, just saying
if they do it right.

Well that's how I looked at it. I was like, look,
you're not supposed to beat the Buffalo Bills in Buffalo,

the last one here for the Boys, and then we're
going to get the upsets special of the week, which,

going back to that Chiefs situation here. I think this

might be the best approach to that game for me.
So let's talk about the team total over twenty seven

Yeah, doubling up here on the Chiefs. Give me over
on a seen toto as well. That secondary is really
really bad right now. Without Arnold, without Reid, those are
two really and they're down another one. And Carrie Joseph
if he's not able to play in that game as
a safety, then they're really down four bodies in that secondary.
And now you're going up against Patrick Mahomes that has confidence.

Look what he did to that Ravens secondary that was
beat up, battered, bruising, not playing well. He torched him
for thirty seven points in a big game where he
had to have it. This Chiefs team does not want
to go to two and four. You cannot go to
two and four. You gotta find a way to win
this game, and it's going to be on the back
of Patrick Mahomes in prime time. And then guess what

everybody talks about. The reps are always cheating for the Chiefs,
Then just better on the Chiefs. I keep saying it.
If you think they keep cheating for them, just keep.

where the Chiefs back's gonna get against the wall again

think it's gonna be on the back of Patrick Mahomes
in this offense and how they're gonna be able to
move the ball on that chief secondary. So yes, Chiefs

They're getting plus one and a half in some markets. Again,

best consensus lying because it's practically a pick. And I
know the Jags did a great job, I know as
a very emotional win, but the Jags really did fall
into some lucky spots there. Now, I will say this,

and we talked about this as well, that it takes
a little while for the offense, you know, to learn
the new Liam Cone system, and it starts to look
like things are going better here for the Jags. However,
I really like this Seattle team. This is a team
that I thought the win total I think it was
eight and a half they said it. I thought it
was far too low considering they were a team last year.
They played really good defense, so Eric so let's talk
about the Seattle Seahawks right now this week.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
Yeah, Seattle was the team that I definitely was the
I was the most wrong about Seattle in the offseason.
I did not like them a lot, and I'm trying
to make up ground because my season long bets on
the Seattle Sticks are not going to come to fruition
and I wish that I bet the unders on the
Cardinals instead of the Seahawks. So I'm changing my tune
here because of what I've seen over the last couple
of weeks, and I love Seattle in this spot on
(26:52):
the road. Since Mike McDonald took over as the head coach,
the Seahawks have lost one road game. They're nine and
one straight up on the road since it started twenty
two and the only loss they have was against the
Detroit Lions, which one of the better teams in the NFL,
who beats basically anybody at home because they score so
many points. So against Jacksonville, I agree with you, Joe.
I think this should be closer to a pick them.
(27:12):
I think that the Jaguars are just kind of favored because,
oh well, they beat the Chiefs, saying they're at home,
like let's just make them favorites when we know the
luck for the Jacksonville Jaguars eventually is going to run out.
I mean Trevor Lawrence, he's literally on the ground and
it gets up and scores the touchdown. So they leave
the NFL in turnovers. They have fourteen turnovers through five weeks.
(27:33):
Jets have zero. I just wanted to mention that. And
I think that eventually their luck is going to run out.
And I think that when you look at the way
the Seahawks offense is built. They play good defense and
they run the football effectively. That is why they've been
so successful on the road, because that's a winning formula
for football games. When you're going and traveling on the road,
established the run, you play strong defense. You're not this
(27:55):
high flying attack where if things aren't going right you
can run to issues playing away from home. So I
like Seattle a lot. Here just good how you're always
getting to die with them playing on the road Jacksonville
on a short week. Actually, jack the Jaguars have failed
to cover the spread nine of their last ten home
games when they're playing with the rest disadvantage. So that's
another thing that's kind of working in favor of Seattle.

I think there is some and when said, well, Jacksonville
playing off a big Monday night win, Like you said,
I think this works in the Seahawks favor So they're
my again. I picked four favorites. This is my one
under dog for this week.

Yeah again, Like I said, right now, I'm looking in
some of the markets. I can't find the underdog Seahawks
in a lot of spots anymore. So I don't want to.
I don't want to, you know, be off kilter here.
I want to keep it real for the audience. So

could find it. But I've already seen that warm turn
and a lot of markets here already. So by the
time people see this or it gets to the weekend,

I've seen enough out of Mac Jones in the system.

If Mac Jones has to play quarterback in the forty
nine ers, I am mad at it. He went in
there and look, I cash big money. On Thursday night,
I told everybody it was five and a half and
then during the show it moved to plus seven and
I said, boys and girls, lock it in. There's no
way they're not covering this seven And they just won outright,
So Sana fran plus one forty two to find a
way to somehow win until the wheels fall off of

Christian McCaffrey. Literally, this is what they're gonna do, and
they're just gonna keep pushing this, and I think this
is gonna be one where maybe Baker doesn't pull the
rabbit out of his hat this time, but if he does,
my plus nine to fifty MVP bet by the time
we wake up Monday morning, is gonna look like plus
five hundred, just saying all of a sudden, that line
is gonna change dramatically. This will be a huge win.

to say that long term game is still in play

sixteen and a half the Cleveland Brown's team total right now,
and I'll tell you why they're getting younger and more
athletic right in front of our eyes. Dylan Gabriel, Harold
Fannon Junior. Right, You've got You've got Isaiah Bond, Quinshawn Judkins.

All of a sudden, this team is much younger, much
quicker and doesn't know any better and they don't really care. Yeah,
you know, it's just like you know, back in the

of a young college guy. And that's basically what these
guys are right now. So I don't think this whole
travel thing is gonna affect the Browns quite as much

as Terrell does. I don't think they win, but I
think they can get two touchdowns at a field goal.
So give me the over there. If you put those
three things together, you get plus three ninety seven and maybe,
just maybe I'll get on the board this week. But
