Speaker 1 (03:27):
All right, let's go ahead and look back at the
week thirteen. It was in college football number one Ohio
State they run away from Rutgers forty two to nine.
We also had Oklahoma keep their CFP hopes alive with
a seventeen to six win over Missouri. We had number
nine Notre Dame make quick work of Syracuse seventy to seventy.
(03:47):
In South of ben we also had James Madison. They
survived Washington State twenty four to twenty, making the G
five playoff conversation very very interesting. Number twelve Utah. They
win an epic shoe out with Kansas State fifty one
forty seven, number thirteen Miami, Florida. They take care of
business against Vo Tech thirty four seventeen, Number seven. Oregon
(04:09):
takes down number fifteen USC in a classic forty two
to twenty seven Number eighteen Michigan. They avoid the look
ahead trap, winning forty five to twenty over Maryland, number seventeen. Texas.
They rely on their offense to get past Arkansas fifty
two thirty seven number twenty Tennessee outlast Florida thirty one
to eleven. Wisconsin shots number twenty one, Illinois twenty seven
(04:33):
to ten. TCU upsets number twenty three Houston seventeen fourteen
number BYU. They cleared Cincinnati twenty six fourteen number fourteen Vanderbilt.
They dog walk Kentucky thirty five seventeen. Pittsburgh upsets number
sixteen Georgia Tech forty two twenty eight and number twenty
two North Texas. They just keep scoring points, baby winning
(04:54):
fifty six twenty four over Rice Bogs. How was the
card for you? And who are the betting risers and
followers from the week that was, Well.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
I'll tell you Wisconsin got me again, So I'm done
picking against Wisconsin. I mean, second half, man, we got
one more game with them. They're not making a ball,
so uh, we got one more game with them, So
I'm not worried about Wisconsin moving forward. But that was aggravating.
And the pick six from James Madison is why I
didn't get that under on that game as well. And
(05:24):
Washington State probably should have won that game straight up.
That was like, James Madison is not that good. Like
they've had a Charman soft schedule. It has been crazy.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
So Washington State was definitely the right side of that.
When you and I talked about it, I did not
lay that. You didn't lay that either, but that was
the right side.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Yeah, yeah, under didn't work, But man, I tell you what,
you you were right about some of these totals, like
North Texas clear the total by themselves, it was fifty
five and a half. They scored fifty six points, right,
were maker? Yes, mess to makers? So much fun to watch.
That's like a weekly thing. That Seth and I will
text each other. They're on Saturdays. How good is Messa Maker?
(06:02):
Every week? So we're talking about North Texas. They are
a lot of fun. But Pitt and Georgia Tech. We
were right on the over there. I was right on
the over for Texas. That defense is just bad. I
was correct about Kentucky not being as good as we
thought and Vandy probably being better. The public was huge
on Kentucky after showing up, but we kind of broke
down why we didn't really trust Kentucky. Right, Texas isn't
(06:25):
as good as advertised. Two of those teams gave up,
Auburn gave up, Florida quit you know, so Vandy's just
a much better option there. So you know, outside of
Man Wisconsin again, I felt pretty good.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
I mean, we were wrong.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
We're clearly wrong about Utah against Kansas State. Like Kansas
State showed up, they should have won that game. That
was a pathetic effort by their defense to let Utah
come all the way back. It was like over seven
hundred and fifty rushing yards in that game.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
It was just like Utah scored that many points. I
would have said they blew him out of the water.
I just needn't believe how their defense just did not
show up.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
I had to score that many points to win that
game and stay it live. So that one was the
process was completely wrong on that one, But most of these,
like you said, you know, of course it's the end
of the regular season, we should be seeing the field well.
But again that's when you should be betting more often, right,
and I hit a bump in the road. I was
(07:20):
seeing the field pretty well, and then it got to
the point where I was five hundred on my picks
last week and then one game over and I have
over two hundred picks between props and picks. I had
over two hundred picks. I was one game above five hundred.
So luckily now with the big week, we're well in
the black. So hopefully we don't mess that up with
(07:43):
this week conference championships and balls, so let's keep the
money rolling in here. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
Well, I'm very excited and happy for you. I need
to get back on the right side of things. We
definitely hit very well on BYU was excited about that
North Texas came through for me. Michigan to and O
bet Michigan this year too. You would have thought, so
you have. Yes, I think I'm about to get off
the train here this week. We'll talk about the game
later on. But yeah, for me, like way too invested
(08:09):
in Nebraska. I just thought they could maybe show up,
and you kind of talked about it. Maybe I was
a little self deprecating. Yeah, so I think that definitely
played into part of it. I definitely did not see
Penn State just dog walking Nebraska. Looked good on the
first drive for Nebraska and then they got stuffed to
the goal line, never really had a shot and don't
(08:29):
look now, Bogs. But while my Georgia Tech Championship future
ticket is definitely killed, there might be a chance that
we get two G five teams in the playoffs. Like
I think it's a real conversation now, at least because
I don't know who's coming out of the ACC. Like
if SMU comes out of the ACC, there's a chance
that James Madison and whoever comes out of the American
(08:50):
is ranked above them. Like, it's just something I want.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
To plot out the acchamp goes in.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
So I don't think it's an automatic bit anymore. I
think it's just the top I think it's just all
right all right, Well, I'll do a little more research then,
but I thought there's at least a chance that maybe
we get another.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
I thought we were changing one through twelve, but it's
I think the conference champion is still get auto bins.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
Okay, all right, yeah, I know there was a little
bit of change up with like eventually the top five
conference winners whoever the highest ranked they were. So I
don't know either way. I think there's a chance that
Jamu and maybe North Texas can make it, but we
can certainly discuss that later on in the show. Anything
else from this past week, Bogs, that really took you
(09:30):
by surprise, Like I was really.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
Impressedly I mistaken.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
I just thought that's how it was last year. That's
how it was last year. This is the new format.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
I looked this up and it said yes before, but
I must have done it too early in the season.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
So hey, that's that's all right there. The only last
thing I have is like Oregon, Man, they looked really,
really good in this game. I was really impressed by
when things weren't working on the outside, they went to
Kenyan Sadiq when they needed him. No, Winnington was awesome
on the ground too, So I think Oregon, we can
start putting them back in that upper echelon and there
may be a team instead of fading them in the
(10:03):
first round the playoff like I thought they were, they
might have some actually real future upside. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
Yeah, I mean that Oregon is still really good. This
may not be the best Oregon team that we've ever seen,
but Moregon is still really good. By the way, it's
the five highest highest ranked conference.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Yeah, so that's what I'm saying. If SMU somehow sneaks
in and they win the ACC and JMU is ranked
above them, and North Texas is giddy off, it's gonna
be a first fun round. It's gonna be fun with.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
James Madison will get murdered in the tournament. I mean,
Louisville beat them by two touchdowns. I think they will
get destroyed.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
So yeah, I mean, I think anyone in the ACC
is getting destroyed as well. Like that conference is a
joke right now, dude. I mean, I.
Speaker 2 (10:43):
Think I think Pitt is where. I think Pitt would
massacre James Madison. I think Georgia Tech would massacre James Madison.
But you know, baby soft schedule, so it's working for JMU.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
You know me, always always pushing my G five agenda
with the crew, but appreciate y'all. Let's go ahead and
jump right into things with the Egg Bowl. It gets
underway at noon on Friday with the number six ole
Miss Rebels laying between seven and seven and a half
points against the five and six Mississippi State Bulldogs. Ole Miss.
They should be at full strength coming off the bye,
(11:16):
and they need a win to clinch a college football
playoff Berth the Bulldogs, meanwhile, they are also off the
by and they need a win to become Bowl eligible
for the first time since twenty twenty two. The Bulldogs
have questionable safety Isaac Smith and their cornerback Jet Jefferson. Wow,
what a name that is. And the BP projections are
showing value on the reps setting this line at eleven points.
(11:38):
Is that where you're heading, Bogs? And I think I'm
definitely there. The only thing that maybe holds me back
a little bit from going all in is Lane Kiffin's
future and everything going on with that kind of scares me.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
I mean, doesn't it seem like he's definitely leaving? Cuz
I think we.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
Would come out and say if you weren't right.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
Right, That's what I feel like, but it also might
be a let's let everybody underestimate us. I'm going to
tell all you guys yeah that I'm not leaving, and
so you guys knows you don't have to worry about it,
but let's let the media play with it for a
little bit to make everybody squirm. That's the only like.
You could definitely see Lane Kiffen doing that, if anyone's
going to do that. But he's also a nomad. I mean,
(12:18):
this dude has been everywhere. So the offer from LSU,
if the rumors are true, it's really hard to turn down.
So I would understand if he did leave again, There's
no way I would. I think there's less pressure. I
think you're recruiting great. You still get a bunch of
money at all, Miss, so.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
Such a good team this year too, and they're all young.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
Yeah, I'm going to go hit the reset button. So look,
I would understand it, but I would stick at all, Miss.
But I'm with you. That is the thing that concerns me.
But I think the best bet here is the under
sixty two and a half because I mean, you know,
Mississippi State hung in with Tennessee and Texas. But the
(13:01):
other top tier SEC teams that they played and m
got them thirty one to nine, Georgia got them forty
one twenty one, Missouri got them forty nine to twenty seven.
I feel like the way the defense has played in
this game in the egg Bowl. They haven't cracked sixty
points in the last eight meetings. They haven't cracked fifty
points in the last three meetings.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
So I think I'm gonna lean towards the under. I
think we see the defense show up and play with
passion in the egg Bowl, specifically at Mississippi State. So
I'll go with the under in this game. That's the
thing that I like here, and that way we don't
have to choose the side.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Okay, I did end up laying a six and a
half with minus one twenty. It's not a big bet
by any means, not my favorite bet of the weekend,
But for me, like I think Kawan Lacy, he's just
that dude right now right he is an absolute monster
in the backfield too. Man. He leads the SEC in
attempts and second in rush attempts. We can't even begin
to talk about how good of a pass blocker he
is too, but ole Miss right now, they're thirtieth in
(13:54):
rushing and they also have Trinidad who's ran for over
four hundred yards this season. Mississippi State their worst quoest
of this entire team. They cannot stop the run. There
one hundred and twentieth in rushing defense, and they also
don't possess the ball for long enough to keep it
away from Ole Miss. Their one hundred and twenty six
in time of possession. So I'm gonna lay six and
a half with ole Miss. I get it can be weird,
(14:14):
but it feels like all of these big spots for
Mississippi State against the top of the conference, they have
lost by lisa touchdown. I think that continues here against
ole Miss.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
I'll say this, this is the week of You know,
if you thought Senior Night was bad, these rivalry games
can get even weirder. That's one in particular. I don't
like to pick a side on. That's why I'm on
the under, but I am definitely being the cowardly lion,
so I like your pick. I think all miss wins
by more than a touchdown.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
Okay, we also have clean old fashioned hate kicking off
from Mercedes Benz Stadium and Atlanta at three pm Eastern
time on Friday. Oddsmakers right now they are listing the
number four Georgia Bulldogs between thirteen and thirteen and a
half point favorites over the number twenty three Georgia Tech
Yellow Jackets. Georgia, they will need some help to get
into the SEC Champion Game, but they can still improve
(15:01):
their CFP ranking with a big win in this one.
They're off a thirty five to three win over Charlotte.
There areb one Chaunty balance. He is questionable Georgia Tech
right now. They likely squandered their ACC championship hopes last
week with that lost to Pit. Just got in a
huge hole and could not bring themselves back when they
finally looked like they were about to pick six on
(15:23):
the goal line goes back the other way. Really lost momentum. Forum.
They now need a Virginia loss and an SMU loss
to make it in. They should be at full strength
though the BP projections right now we are showing slight
value on the Bulldogs, putting Georgia as a fifteen point favorite. Boggs.
This is, without a doubt one of my favorite games
of the entire season. You're coming off that Thanksgiving hangover,
(15:45):
finally starting to feel like yourself again around three PM.
I love this one. I think there's so much history
with this rivalry.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Had like a million overtimes last year too.
Speaker 1 (15:55):
Yes, yes, it was so good. I just don't in
this iteration of it, especially with how Georgia Tech's defense
is playing, I don't see a lot of value in
betting anything, maybe than get invested in an over. How
do you have this one and do you have any
action on it?
Speaker 2 (16:08):
Yeah, I'm gonna have the dogs here, and I think
Georgia is just peaking right now. We just watched Tech
lose at home to pit. The clear response is that
while they were looking ahead to this game, I don't care.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
I think should have been that game met more to
him for the ACC Championship.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
Yeah, one hundred percent. And I think CJ. Allen is
going to be back for Georgia this week as well.
They were caught off guard last season. I don't think
that's happening again. I just trust Kirby Smart to stifle
the Tech offense. Ole Miss Alabama Tennessee are the only
offenses to put up more than twenty one points on
the Georgia Bulldogs this year, and I just don't think
Georgia Tech is on the same level as those teams.
(16:43):
So just the way that Georgia Tech has been playing,
I feel like they peaked a little bit early in
the season. I think we're seeing some of the best
play from Georgia right now. Just smoke Texas beating down
to everybody they play. They didn't cover the forty two
and a half against Charlotte, but we had Charlotte in
that game, so they did beat them down and kind
of pulled up off the gas late in that game too.
(17:05):
So I think you saving it all for here. You
go out here, you blow out a in state rival, right,
and then you hope you get an SEC title game.
So I think Georgia just lays the wood to Tech here.
I don't think this one's going to be close.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
Yeah, I'm with you, man. That defense is just so atrocious.
Like Haines, King didn't help himself at points when he
was forcing the ball when they went down in that one,
throwing some untimely interceptions, one of those, as I mentioned,
being a pick six. I just don't think they have
the horses in this one. After that letdown, Like if
they came into this still doing as well as they have,
but they've they're one and two or their last three
(17:44):
right they started eight to zero. Vibes were really really
high with this team, and I think that's why they
get so much credit, likely still in the college football
playoff rankins when we see those this week and even
in AP ringings because their strength of schedule and even
like their big wins are not that big this season.
Now look back, Bogs, and that's the thing that I
think really holds them down. It's just the fact that
they got out of the gates so hot, which was
(18:05):
really you know, holding them up in the ranks. So yeah,
I think it's the time to get off the the
Georgia Tech bandwagon. But Haines King, if you're in this one,
maybe I'll take a little money line sprinkle at half
or something. Love your hands, Missy Bud to guys for everything.
Thanks for everything. Man. I just feel like, you know,
I want to buy that guy a beer or something.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
Yeah, him and Duck Hodges. Yeah come from the same cloth.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
Yes, exactly, blue collar boys. Let's keep it moving here.

Learn Moore at bettingpros dot com Slash Premium. On Friday Night,
it's the Lone Stars Showdown with the third ranked Texas
A and m Aggie's laying two to two and a
half points on the sixteenth ranked Texas Longhorns A and M.
They're coming off a forty eight to zero game against Samford.
It's winning get in for them to the SEC Championship game.
(19:32):
Mike Elkosmen will likely still be without their running back
levy On Moss and their newly promoted RB two E J. Smith.
He is questionable Texas just had a fifty two to
thirty seven shootout win over Urcie. They have no path
to the championship game, but could still be in play
for NAT Large bid with a win to the College
(19:53):
football playoffs. They have questionable linebacker Anthony Hill junior BP projections.
Right now, we're setting this line under one and a
half points. So Boggs, what is the number you have
to see to get back invested with the long Horns.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
I mean, you know me. I will not bet on
my long Horns specifically in this game because it is
bad luck. But if I'm giving out advice, if you're
getting points for the Longhorns at home against anybody, I
think most instances, I'm going to take that. And also
battered Aggie syndrome. Right and M has been great, even
I have to admit that, but they're not the best
number three team that we've ever seen, and they're on
(20:28):
the road here against a tough opponent, and EM has
survived in four one score games. Turnovers are going to
decide this game. A and M is somehow one hundred
and sixteenth with only nine takeaways on defense this year,
and Texas is top ten in turnover March and at tenth.
It's a plus ten this season four Texas minus five
(20:49):
for the Aggies. So they've been doing all this winning
and turning the ball over more than their opponents, which
is surprising. If that happens against Texas, Texas is going
to be in this game and win it now. If
they can't turn the ball over, Marcel Reid, it's gonna
take their best game of the season on both sides.
I don't know if we get that at this point either,
because of defense. Three weeks in a row has been bad.
So I think if you're giving me points for the
(21:12):
Longhorns at home, I'm gonna take them. I think they
do turn the ball over, and I do think they
win this game. So but you know that is me
one percent being biased. I have to give that up.
I just think the Longhorns win this game. This is like,
this is the perfect setup to ruin A and M season,
and this is the only game I care about all
year long, and everybody else as well. So I think
(21:35):
the Longhorns get up and they play their best football
and they win this game.
Speaker 1 (21:38):
Any interest in the fifty one and a half total,
I feel like there might be some legs there just
because Texas they've been moving the ball really well as
of late, Man and A and M. Based on how
their defense is played at times this season, even going
back to just a few weeks ago, in that first
half against South Carolina, it's intriguing. It's intriguing. I think
it might be worth a sprinkle.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
Yeah, I think that if you're looking at this year's
performance and recent performance specifically for Texas, that is a
good play. I just keep remembering how this game was
seventeen to seven last year and just very very physical,
very very much an offensive line type of game. You know,
they Aggie didn't have very good passing last year though,
and it's much much better and they got Casey Concepcion
(22:21):
this year, so I'd be more on it. But if
I'm picking a side here, I'm gonna lean towards Longhorns.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
I know one thing for sure, Matthew McConaughey is going
to be on the sideline. He's gonna be getting those
boys rout up and ready to go. So excited to
see that one. Hope it comes out in your favorite Bogman.
Let's move forward, where we have the number fifteen Michigan Wolverines,
whose college football playoff hopes are on the line in
the game where they are catching between ten and ten
(22:48):
half points in ann Arbor against the top ranked in
undefeated Ohio State Buck Guys. Ohio State. They have their
eyes set on Indianapolis with a win, but they are
more banged up than they have been all season long,
coming off a forty two to nine win against Rutgers.
Wide receivers Jeremiah Smith, Carnell take Quincy Porter all are
questionable after not playing last week, as are multiple members
(23:11):
of the defenses too deep no running back Justice Haynes.
For Michigan, they may get their running back Jordan Marshall back.
He was seen dressed on the sideline, did not play
last week. They didn't need him. They also have questionable
their slot wide receiver Homage Morgan and their left tackle
Evan Link BP projections right now, they don't think the
spread is enough, giving Ohio State nearly eleven and a
(23:33):
half points. Boggs. I'm at the point though, where that
feels like a lot of points to lay in this
matchup against Michigan, who they've beaten Ryan Day four straight times.
Speaker 2 (23:43):
Man, it is this game is definitely one of those
throw whatever has happened out the window, right, be four
years in a row, and that's the worst Michigan team
I have seen in a long time. Last year and
they won that game. That is unbelievable. I still can't
wrap my head around because Ohio State went on and
(24:04):
won the Natty, right, Like, how do they lose to
Michigan in their worst year ever? So that game just
sticks in my mind. So but I mean, tell me, Seth,
what has been the closest game that Ohio State's played
all year? I'll just give it to you, as Texas.
What's the next closest.
Speaker 1 (24:23):
Oh Man? I don't think there's one within two scores?
Speaker 4 (24:25):
Is there?
Speaker 2 (24:26):
Illinois was the next closest, and they won that game
by what would that be? Eighteen points?
Speaker 1 (24:32):
So the team total on Illinois that day under and it.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
Got oh yeah, that was a two point conversion that
they swatted away that wonner bias. They also beat Washington
by eighteen, but that was on the road too, so
I guess they were on the road against Illinois as well.
They're on the road here against Michigan. Look, Ohio State,
what they got to quit doing is trying to embarrass Michigan.
I think that's what Ryan Day has been doing for
the last few years. They've been trying to They've been
(24:56):
trying to embarrass them by running down their throat. Just
beat the c out of him. By the way, all
those guys you just mentioned are going to play like
you get up for this game.
Speaker 1 (25:04):
This is why you go to Ohio I thought, so,
you know, you want to say that we don't know
for sure.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
We can say they're questionable. That's fine, they're playing, you
know what I mean, Like, you know, just read between
the lines. Those those guys are going to be up.
I feel like, unless it's way worse than we expect,
and I just don't think it is. So I think,
you know, because jeremih Smith's been questionable and played. So
I just think this is why you come to Ohio
State is to beat Michigan and win Natties. So this
(25:29):
is you know, you got to the point to where
you're already number one. Let's go, let's win this game,
and let's do it. You know, I think you got
to streamline stuff for Julian Sane as well. It's his
first game in this rivalry. It's a big matchup. So
I'm just gonna lean, but I will lean Ohio State.
No one else has been close to them. They should
beat Michigan down, but they should have murdered them last
(25:52):
year and they straight up lost. So definitely, I throw
the record out of the books. Game classic game like
it always is going to be. But I'm gonna have
the buck guys in this one.
Speaker 1 (26:02):
I have no play officially now as well. I am
leaning towards maybe a Michigan team total under sixteen and
a half points bugs And why I am going there
potentially is Ohio State's top ranked run defense. I think
they're gonna be able to slow down Michigan's tenth ranked
rushing offense. But at the same time a little gunshot
because those big men last week were just creating huge
(26:22):
holes against Maryland even with the backup running backs. And
Michigan's also been very, very subpar passing the ball one
hundred and first in the nation. This is also the
top passing defense in the country they're coming in against. However,
I don't know if you have checked out this guy,
wide receiver Andrew marsh As of late, he has been awesome.
He has changed this offense quite a bit. So I
(26:44):
think maybe he's like a little bit of a CounterPunch
that Michigan can throw in this one. So I think
if Michigan does win this game, it's kind of like
last year where they have to bring Ohio State down
to their level and this is a thirteen simon the mud. Yeah,
But at the same time, like I think marsh and
those offensive linemen and how good they were against Maryland.
I don't know if this is just like everyone looks
good against Maryland, but I'm a little gun shy, so
(27:06):
I don't have it on my official plays yet.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
Illinois is the only team to score more than fourteen
points against Ohio State all year long. So yeah, this
looks like one of the most dominant Ohio State teams
we've ever seen, and that there's a lot of really
good Ohio State teams up there. So the defense looks
incredible right now.
Speaker 1 (27:24):
Yep, just bring one in and you know, replace them
with the next one. That's what they're doing right now.
It's a factory right there. Hopefully, hopefully we can maybe
steal one of their offensive coordinators. Come on over to
Penn State, Brian Hartline, we need your baby, we need you.
Let's move forward where we have ACC Championship berths on
the line in Akashire Stadium on the North Shore. Win
(27:45):
the twenty fourth ranked Pit Panthers are six and a
half to seven and a half point dogs to the
thirteenth ranked Miami Hurricanes. Miami's passed to the ACC title
game remains open after a thirty four to seventeen win
against Virginia Tech last week. They now need a win
and a Duke or Virginia loss. The u have questionable
Jacoby Thomas, their safety, their nickel cornerback Keante Scott, their
(28:09):
nose tackle David Blade Junior, plus a few players in
the defense is two deep. With their forty two to
twenty eight win over Georgia Tech last week, Pit they
now have their championship game window open. They just need
a win and a Virginia or Duke loss. They have
questionable defensive tackle Sean Fitzsimmons, running back Desmond Reid, and
(28:30):
left guard Ryan Caretta. The BP projections right now, we
are showing this line under five and a half point, So, Boggs,
is there any value with the Panthers if you're getting
them over a touchdown?
Speaker 2 (28:42):
I want to take I want to take Pitt in
this game. But I remember the way that Notre Dame
dominated Pitt at home a couple of weeks ago. And
I don't know if you know this, Seth, but Miami
beat Notre Dame. No one's been talking about this, but
if you do, go remember and remember I was on
Notre Dame. Miami beat Notre Dame. But I think the
real thing that concerns me for Pitt is the fact
(29:04):
that they are very much a one dimensional offense, right,
and what does Miami have to combat that? Ruben Bain
and Messidora, right, Like, this defensive line has been outstanding
all year. It's how they It's how Notre Dame beat
Pitt before they held him in two hundred nineteen yards.
They sacked him four times. They didn't allow Pitt to
(29:24):
convert one third down. So I don't think Miami is
as good as Notre Dame right now. But they don't
have to win that game by three touchdowns either. They
got to win by eight for you to clear. So
I'm gonna lean towards Miami here, but I'm not gonna
have a playing this game because this is a game
that Chris Paul loves to choke right when there's a
(29:46):
lot on the line and you could possibly get into
the playoff. I think this is one of those, you know,
you combine the choking ability of Carson Beckham, Mario Christobal,
and I think it's pretty rough. So I just don't
trust Pit because of what we saw against Notre Dame
and kind of the no show there. And I know
that wasn't nearly as important as this game is for them,
(30:08):
but I mean it was a game at home and
they just got absolutely dominated. So I wonder if Miami
gets out to a hot start, this pitch just lay
down again. So I want to take Miami, but Crystal
Ball's choking will not allow me to do it. So
it's just gonna be a lean for me.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
Yeah, I'm with you there. I don't have a play
in this one specifically, because what you said, the Pit
offense just very very one dimensional. It feels like if
they can't get going through the air, they don't get going.
I think if Desmond Reid was healthy this season, maybe
that's a different story. Like, yes, I agree, how many
staff leagues were you in and he was what the
top or at least like a top three overall pick. Right.
(30:45):
I mean, yeah, guy was supposed to get.
Speaker 2 (30:46):
The rock player. Yeah, he's supposed to get the ball
a lot, and he's been banged up from day one here,
so uh yeah. It's been unfortunate for their run game,
but it's what's turned them. Look, it made Mason Eichel.
Mason Eichel has been great and he's great for the
long term future of the program here. But the lack
of the run game in a game like this with
that pass rush, I just don't think it's good for
(31:09):
pitt Yep.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
Pitt's a young team. I'm looking forward to what they
can do in the future. If they're in bowlseason and
not the CFP, which I think they're probably going to be,
I would be very interested in backing them there, just
because they have a lot of young guys who I
think will stay intact through this first wave of the
portal and hang around. So excited for that. In the meantime, though,
we do have the Border War, which gets underway at
(31:30):
three pm Eastern time with the number five Oregon Ducks.
They are favored by six and a half to seven
and a half points over the eight and three Washington
Huskies in Seattle. The Ducks are off that huge forty
two to twenty seven win against USC and they are
now in the Big Ten championship conversation for the second
straight year. They need an Ohio State loss and they
(31:50):
have to win this game. The Ducks leading wide receiver
to Coreyan Moore, they're slot wide receiver Gary Bryant junior,
and there are before Jane Lamar. They all missed last week.
They are questionable again. They also have some defensive two
D players who are questionable. The Huskies, meanwhile, they responded
from their upset loss to Wisconsin earlier this month that
bit you and many betters alike, and they have come
(32:12):
back with two blowout wins over UCLA and against Purdue.
Jedfish has questionable for this game, right tackle Drew a
Czar Party and also their slot wide receiver Raydon Vines Bright.
So the BP projections they're right now saying this line
should be right under seven points. Bogs, I don't know
where I'm heading with this one. I'm gonna be honest
(32:33):
with you. I want to lay the six and a
half the Ducks based on what I saw last week,
but also given how good their defense is, maybe this
is just a spot where Washington team total under comes
into play, right, because Washington has not scored a ton
of points against these big name opponents that they faced
so far in the Big Ten this season.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
Look, our minds are working right, because that's my play.
Oh I did not know that at all. We didn't
talk about it at all. Yeah, that's why I got
that big smirk on my out the line of twenty
three and a half. Okay, twenty three and a half
is a team total right now. And I just really
hate Washington being so Jeckyll on Highe this year. They
just show you one thing and then the next week
they do another thing. But to me, it seems like
(33:10):
whenever they come up against a good defensive resistance, they
just fall apart. Ohio State got them twenty four to six,
Michigan beat them twenty forty seven, and then the embarrassing
thirteen to ten loss against Wisconsin. This isn't the best
Oregon team that we've ever seen. Indiana got them at home,
Penn State took them to overtime, and they should have
lost that game to Iowa on the road. I want
(33:32):
this to fall to five and a half, just, you know,
to get us a little bit more, but under a
touchdown I think is fine for Oregon. I will not
take Washington again this year, so I do like laying
the Oregon side. But the Washington team total under twenty
three and a half is my favorite playing this one
for sure. I'm absolutely with you Simbotico.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
Okay, well, I'm glad we both had the same mindset
there and not that like eight and three coming into
this game is a disappointing season for Washington, Like that's
probably about what those people expected.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
I bet on them all three of those losses. I
bet on them every single one, and you know what,
Ohio State I did, okay, but they didn't cover one
at the time. I've lost money on them three times,
so I'm done with the Huskies.
Speaker 1 (34:11):
Yeah, I've actually bet against them. I know I bet
Michigan in that game, and then I think I also
bet them to go under their team total or maybe
I think I even laid the points with Ohio State
in that one.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
So I've been I've just gotten disappointed in that road
game against Michigan. I like, look, Wisconsin is not Michigan.
And then they just couldn't score points. It couldn't move
the ball. So I think they're going to have a
difficult time doing that against Oregon again.
Speaker 1 (34:33):
Yeah, and this is really like I don't say this
is they're all in season because Demon William's still very
young player in college football. But Denzel Boston's going to
be heading the draft. Jonah Coleman is going to be
heading in the NFL too, So like they're losing.
Speaker 2 (34:44):
I also heard that, uh Jeed Fish hates Seattle. Yeah,
they make they may want out, so like is he
looking does he have one step out the door looking
for a new job as well? So there's there's a
lot of little things going on and watching that I
don't like.
Speaker 1 (35:02):
The eighth ranked Oklahoma Sooners can punch their ticket to
the college football Playoff with the win at home over
the seven and four LSU Tigers. OU is currently favored
by nine and a half to ten and a half points.
They have strung together three straight ranked wins against Missouri, Alabama,
and Tennessee. They have questionable There areb three Javontae Barnes,
(35:22):
cornerbacks Jentrey Williams and Kendall Dalby, plus their left guard
Heath Ozetta LSU. They are not playing for much of
anything at this point, but Pride. They became Bull eligible
a few weeks back with a twenty three to twenty
two win against Arkansas at home, and they followed that
up with a pretty sloppy win thirteen to ten against
Western Kentucky last week. I should have been on WKU
(35:44):
in that game. It felt good, but I thought going
into Death Valley maybe LSU would show up. That hasn't
been the case though. For head coach Frank Wilson. He
has injured in this game, quarterback Garrett Nusmyer likely to
be out the rest of the season. Wide receivers Nick
and Aaron Anderson also, plus their left tackle Tyree Adams
and their cornerback Mansor Delaney.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
Everybody with a high NFL draft stock, Yeah, is oh
my hamstring? Oh look at that? Yeah, that's rough.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
It's hard to blame him, right, and that's time where
we are. At this point, you gotta protect yourself, especially
for a team not playing for anything. They're already Bowl eligible.
As we mentioned BP projections, right now, we are giving
these Sooners ten and a half points. So are you
interested in the key number of nine and a half
to back Brent Venables and company to clinch their ticket.
Speaker 2 (36:31):
Looks like wind and rain in this game too. By
the way, you know right now on this the forecast,
so you know who knows by the time we get there.
But as of today, but look, Michael van Buren is
going to be the starter again for LSU. This is
going to get ugly quick. LSU only up to nine
points at Alabama, even in a win over Archie when
(36:53):
they had three hundred ninety total yards, they had to
settle for three field goals and they only scored twenty
three points in that game. This OU defense is been
outstanding and they have to win this one to make
sure they don't drop to nine and three. LSU has
already clinched the bul berth. This is a road game.
Their quarterbacks doubtful, a couple of their best pieces are doubtful.
I think this is just a different level of effort
(37:14):
between the home Sooners and the road Tigers, right, So
I'm gonna lay the points. I'm gonna take OU and
the wind in the rain. The under might be a
decent play as well, but the under's been dropping, so
I don't want to mess with that. Just give me
the Sooners and lay the points.
Speaker 1 (37:31):
That game looked a little dicey against Missouri last week
and then they had the big play that opened it up,
and it just kind of opened the storm gates, right.
Speaker 2 (37:39):
Yeah, yeah, I do, like I think overall to win
the national championship, I'm worried about Oklahoma's offense, right, I
think think you have to But that defense, that defense
looks like peak Ravens right now. Yeh, they look real good.
Speaker 1 (37:54):
Is there a defense he would take over them? Maybe
Ohio State. Ohio State is probably the only one, right.
Speaker 2 (37:58):
Yeah, the Buckeyes in soon, that's it?
Speaker 1 (38:00):
Yeah, Okay, Well, it's cool to at least have like
one of these old school type of feeling teams down
the sec. Again, that's winning with defense. Mediocre quarterback play
at times since Mateers been back from injury. But yeah,
really like o You either're a fun team to watch
if you like defense. If you don't, you might not
like them.
Speaker 2 (38:17):
But how frustrating for that fan base to go, well,
not only you know, do you go from Lincoln Riley,
who is all offense, no defense, but a ventable who's
all defense, no offense, and then they're getting rid of
seven thousand seats in the stadium to build more boxes too.
Rough in the streets for the Sooners right now, but
the team is great and they're in the They're in
the tourney. I think unless they really blow this one,
(38:39):
this would be a massive lotcheap. It would be hilarious.
But I think the Sooners win this one going away
by more than two touchdowns.
Speaker 1 (38:47):
The Smoky Mountain Bowl kicks off at three point thirty
pm Eastern Time on Saturday with the number twelve Vanderbilt Commodoores.
They're catching between two and three points against the number
eighteen Tennessee Volunteers. After a forty five seventeen SmackDown of Kentucky,
Vandy has kept their college football playoff hopes alive and
they need it once again here. With a win, they
(39:09):
should have everyone up for this one. They've been really
profitable with bet on this season, and no matter what
happens here, the Falls are likely to be on the
outside looking in of the college football playoffs. They are
eight and three straight up. They have questionable tight end
Miles Titlesman. They also have safety Sydney Watson and their
kick returner Peyton Lewis. All unlikely or you know, at
(39:31):
least a mixed bag. Whether they're gonna be up for
this one. The BP projections right now, we have set
this line at two and a half points, so not
much ev either way in this game. Do you have
a play in it?
Speaker 2 (39:41):
Boggs over Let's go with the over here. Tennessee's defense
has been bad, and this series also is seventy nine
and thirty three in Tennessee's favors. So if Vandy is
in it, I think you get Vandy's best effort every
single time, even on the road here, the Valls are
only getting your basic three pointed vantage. At home, their
(40:01):
defense is still really bad. No matter what way it's cut.
For Tennessee, they're not getting in. It would take way
too much for them to even imagine that they're in.
But they can ruin Vandy's playoff chances, and they're at
home for Senior Night. So I think we see, you know,
a decent amount of points from Tennessee. But also Vandy
has put up thirty one plus on everyone that isn't
(40:22):
Missouri and Alabama this year. Right, They've given up thirty
plus to Auburn, Texas, Bama, even Utahs State. Tennessee's offense
is still really, really good, So just give me the
over here. I like Vandy to go over thirty and
a half because it dropped the point today in their
team total as well. That's when I hit last week.
That was my hard rock bet of the week, was
(40:43):
laying the points and taking Vandy, and that absolutely worked.
Speaker 1 (40:47):
Yeah, I'm with you there, Bogs. It's super interesting because
I always feel every single week when I look at
Vandy line, so like, oh, I missed the line and
you know, I miss the wave to get on Vandy right,
and here we are at the end of the season.
I haven't bet any of their games this season one
way or the other. I think I may have bet
an under in a game that definitely didn't come through.
I think it was the LSU one, but there's still
(41:08):
like eight to two.
Speaker 2 (41:09):
And one thirty one on LSU. Yeah, yeah, I think
I might have been on the under there too. I
think because LC's defense is playing well. But you know,
Vandy has beat the crap out of them. That was
that was not a close game. That game was thirty
one to twenty four, but it was not that close.
Speaker 1 (41:23):
Yeah. Yes, It's like every week I feel like I
have a little bit of buyers regret for not betting
on Bandy Moore this season. I don't think I'll get
invested here though, just because Tennessee they're tricky, and I
think if you do play this game, it should be
in the totals market. As you're approaching this one. Let's
go ahead. Let's move forward to primetime on Saturday, where
we have the Commonwealth Cup between the seventeenth ranked Virginia Cavaliers.
(41:45):
They're hoping to punch their ACC championship tickets with a
win as a ten and a half to eleven and
a half point favor over the three and eight Virginia
Tech Hokies UVA. They responded to an upset loss to
Wake fours, who don't look now, we're actually looking pretty
good right now. They're in the conversation. Finally, they lost
them earlier this month and then they came back. They
won at Duke last week thirty four to seventeen. UVA
(42:08):
should be at full strength. VA Tech. Meanwhile, they're out
on bull season this year. They will not qualify after
three straight ACC losses. James Franklin in the building. He
will begin his tenure with the team for the twenty
twenty six season. They have questionable currently, their Nickelback Isaiah
Cash and they also did lose. Keep in mind a
slew of players win the portal open for them following
(42:31):
the firing of Brent Prye. So BP projections right now
we lean towards the UVA setting our line at thirteen
and a half points. So Boggs, can the Calves keep
them on track one more game before they're in the
title game?
Speaker 2 (42:45):
I think so. But Virginia Tech is much better than
what they've shown on the field this year. They've had
a top twenty five schedule, right, and even in this
recent stretch, they got the win at NC State twenty
three twenty one, they lost to Wake for US, they
lost to Georgia Tech, they did beat cal they lost
to Louisville and then finally this Miami loss. But they
(43:06):
are better than their record shown. The problem is is
that Virginia has really hit only these two bumps in
a row. They lost to NC State, right, and then
the Wake Forest game that they lost that was because
Chandler Morris got hurt. Chandler Morris is going to play
in this game. There's just not a lot on the line.
You talked about it, you know, in terms of James
Franklin coming in a lot of this team bailing at
(43:29):
the end of the season. The guys that are there
want to play and they want to win this game.
But again, a road game against Virginia, We're showing value
to the Cavs, and I'm just I'm gonna lean that way.
I don't think I'll have a bet in this game,
but I do like Virginia to win this one. Kind
of going away here.
Speaker 1 (43:44):
Virginia is so frustrating me too, because if you remember,
like we two the season, I shot him, I was
my best bets of the week and I was like,
I think that they got some legs here with Chandler Morris.
Little did I know they'd go on quite the run
other than when I bet them, because that week they
fell short to NC State and I never got back
on them, so I was kind of a little bit
of a bummer. But yeah, I think I am with
you here that I would like to put some points
(44:07):
on Virginia, but I just don't trust them because who
knows what Virginia Tech's doing, Because a lot of these
guys are kind of like trying to show themselves a
little bit to James Franklin, right, like like they're all
trying to and Karen Drones, Like, I know, it wasn't
the career everyone wanted for him at vaugh Tech, but
like he's a really solid quarterback. He's a really great
leader from what I've heard. He's great in the community
as well. So like hats off to him, and you
(44:28):
know he's gonna try to send it out the right
way I think of this one.
Speaker 2 (44:30):
Yeah, just a twenty fourth schedule and this is I
just used PFFT trade the schedule fifty ninth for Virginia,
So I mean Virginia has had a much easier road here.
That's really what it is. I mean, you know at
NC State Miami, I mean the schedule is just brutel
(44:51):
for Tech this year, and I think they'll be way
better next year. We'll see.
Speaker 1 (44:56):
Let's go ahead and close out the show here with
the iron where the number ten Alabama Crimson tied. They
can all but clinch their college football playoff berth and
a trip to the SEC Title Game with a win
over the five and six Auburn Tigers. They are currently
five and a half point favorites. They just shout out
Eastern Illinois fifty six zero. The following players are questionable though,
(45:18):
they're h back Joshua Quavis, also their tight end Danny
Lewis Junior, and their flanker wide receiver Jeremy Bernard. The
BP projections right now they have this closer to a
six and a half point line. So this is a
place I think I want to rock and roll with Bogs,
specifically because Auburn they're on their third quarterback of the season,
(45:39):
Deuce night. We did CeeLo Jackson Arnold take a few staffs,
specifically more running the ball. Deuce Night kind of went
Buck Wilde last week on the ground. He's a dual threat.
Guy went for over one hundred and sixty yards against Mercer.
I with that said, Bobs, give me Bama in this one.
Five and a half doesn't feel like enough.
Speaker 2 (45:56):
I mean, this game, the iron Ball, it's just always crazy.
I'm not touching. This should be Bama by a million,
but it's in Auburn. I'm not gonna mess with it.
I'll take Bama on the money line if I want
something here and add it to something else. But I mean,
look the the recent games in Auburn for the iron
Ball three point Bama win twenty seven to twenty four
(46:17):
and twenty twenty three. Bama wins twenty four to twenty
two in twenty twenty one, Auburn wins by three, forty eight,
forty five in twenty nineteen, and Auburn one in twenty seventeen,
twenty six fourteen. This game is the definition of throw
the records out the window here Auburn winning this game,
it would you know what the vibes would be Auburn
(46:39):
wins this game. It's exactly like Michigan beating Ohio State
last year. Right, that's the feeling I feel like you
would get because this is you're calling.
Speaker 1 (46:49):
For the boor's job at that point. Then, is what
it would be.
Speaker 2 (46:52):
Right, I think it would be. But Deuce Night seemed
to bring a different gear quarterback Againstcer. It was against Mercer,
but but I mean he completed passes. We haven't seen
Jackson Arnold do that all year, Right, I just I
never liked Ashton Daniels. So I'm gonna wait and see
which way this goes.
Speaker 1 (47:11):
Which way do you think it goes?
Speaker 2 (47:13):
I think it goes towards Alabama. But tickets are split.
Cash is on Auburn, tickets are Onbama, Right, yeah, and
then the over is getting played in this game as well.
Forty eight and a half. We're showing slight value to
the over. But I don't think I want to mess
with the total in this game either. So look, if
it gets out to plus seven and a half in
Auburn's at home, I'm gonna take Auburn, but I think
(47:36):
it's gonna stay right in there between. You know, I
would want Bama at minus two and a half. We're
not getting that, So I all lne this down to
Bama minus two and a half if I'm going to
take anything here, but I really don't want to mess
with it. Just just sit back and let be entertained
by this game, because it's going to be a wild one.
It's going to be fun, and Deuce Night can become
(47:58):
a legend already in Auburn if he wins this game.
Speaker 1 (48:02):
All right, let's go ahead, Let's round out the program
with our best bets, and I'm gonna stick right here
with Alabama. I'm laying the five and a half points.
It's minus one Z nine and a couple books right
now against Auburn. And here's part of it, right, It's
not only the quarterback factor. This the third quarterback this
season for Auburn. He's going up against the top four
passing offense. Say what you want about Deuced Night. This
(48:23):
would be a legendary. He would never forget. He could
tell his grandkids about this if he could win this. Also,
though Bbama hasn't lost this game since twenty nineteen, they've
won by an average of fourteen points in that span.
And more importantly, I think Auburn is one hundredth in
passing defense, ty Simpson. Even with Bernard banged up, he's
been slinging it around the field. He's leading a top
ten passing offense right now. He's also leading the conference
(48:45):
in pass attempts, pass completions, twenty four total touchdowns for
the kid, just two interceptions. I don't see how this
one goes any other way. Man, I really don't see
Auburn's like unless Alabama just does not show up, unless
they like pole Florida State, and I will I will prevace.
This was saying I have not I don't think bet
Alabama since Week one when I lost on them against
(49:06):
Florida State, when I had a ton of money riding
with them. So Alabama, you get back in my good
races this week, oh man, against them the cooler takes Alabama.
Speaker 2 (49:15):
Oh lordy, oh man. I may have to bet Auburn
just to be on the other side of you, just
for fun of this game. That's gonna be a lot
of fun, I will like. I think the biggest difference
for Auburn late in the season here is that look
at what they did after they fired Hugh Freeze, who
put up thirty eight points, right, Like, I just I
(49:38):
really like that for Auburn moving forward. I don't think
they're in this game either. I'm okay with you. I
think Bama wins is going away. But look, I've seen
a lot of weird stuff happen in that game, I know,
so I just don't want to mess with it. For me,
my best bet here, give me that. Give me Vandy
again over thirty and a half. Like Tennessee. Tennessee's at home.
They couldn't stop Oklahoma at home a couple of weeks ago, right,
(50:01):
So I just I feel like Vandy's definitely gonna score.
It's a one thing that I'm like feel sure about
in that game is that Vandy will score. Tennessee will score.
I like the over in that game a lot, But
I like the team total for Vandy over thirty and
a half, and I kind of like Vandy in that
game as well against Tennessee. They still got a shot
to make the playoff. So yeah, I Vandy team total
(50:22):
over thirty and a half is my favorite play this week.
Speaker 1 (50:25):
I got one more bonus. Yeah, let's say that for you.
It's Maction Midweek Tuesday. So yeah, hey, going, we're going
back home. We're going all roads lead back to the
Mid American Conference, baby, and hopefully you're listening this by
Tuesday night because this one's gonna go off. I think
it's a seven thirty kickoff Western Michigan right now. They're
(50:45):
laying six and a half points against Eastern Michigan WMU.
They are led by this dol threat quarterback Brock Lowry's
none of one of these like gritty MAC type quarterbacks.
He's a trio of running backs behind him. There top
forty in rushing in the country. Eastern Michigan meanwhile, they're
one hundred and thirty fifth in the country in stopping
the run. I think Western Michigan is gonna run all
(51:07):
over them. They have a chance to play for the
Mac Championship. If they win this game Eastern Michigan, they
cannot be Bowl eligible. They don't have much to play
for and Western Michigan this season two to zero as
in a way favorite this season five and one ats
off a win as well, five and two ats in
the mac EASU just one and two ats off a win.
(51:28):
So Boggs, that's where I'm going. A little Tuesday night
action to, you know, a little appetizer for the Thanksgiving weekend.
Speaker 2 (51:35):
It will be I'm gonna I'm gonna put some money
on that game. I'm gonna take your recommendation here, seth,
let's go. I'm gonna watch it while I'm recording. My

the holidays, should be posted on Wednesdays, So if you
