Speaker 1 (00:01):
All right, and welcome into the Betting Pros College Football Show.
It's our Week eight preview episode where we'll give you
our official picks and predictions for the top ten games
on the slate. I'm your host of Seth Wilcock and
I once again joined by two absolute stallions.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
That's right back with us.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Is a guy who has the pulse on all things
college football all the time. He's Big Game Hunter, Trail
Firman Junior Trell. How are you my friend? As we
barrel ahead? Do we eight?
Speaker 3 (00:27):
No? I mean there's Honestly, it's funny because there's so
many things I want to talk about so little time.
I don't know how to start off the show. I
thought that I was gonna go at Boggs, and because
Boggs wasn't on Texas and Texas one hook shout out.
I mean it was fading Bogs when he's out on
this Texas team has to be like the greatest trend
on the history of the playoff. But I'm not gonna
(00:49):
do that. I'm instead gonna defer my time back to you, Seth.
Because time of morning or maybe not so radio asked
some fresh morning. However, I think it could be morning,
because regardless of how we feel about big boy Franklin there,
he had you as a perennial top ten team for years,
(01:11):
and so there's a good chance that Penn State falls
out of just all of college football relevancy here or
you could go up and actually win a national championship.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Absolutely, I mean that's how I see it as well
as Hey, it's going to be a couple of rough
seasons potentially as we work in some new recruiting.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Classes, new staff as well.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
But at the same time, like we're a place here
in Happy Valley where we are not content with being
a top ten team. We have enough money in this program,
we should be competing for championships year in year out.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
Trail Congress, congrats to you. Congrats to you for wanting
better for yourself. That's what the New York Knicks did
when they fired Tom Thibodeau. So I will never, yeah,
never be upset as somebody wanting better for themselves. But oh, Seth,
I just want you to know I am so excited
to see what happens with pitt State football for the
next couple of years.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
Hey, you and me both man, and we'll both be
right here on BEG pro's College Football show to break
it all down.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
We're also joined by a gentleman.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Who had a quick trigger finger earlier this week when
it came to market miss Priced, Scott Bogman.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Scotti has been one.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Of those weeks, Man, where we've seen a ton of
line movement since our early pick show.
Speaker 4 (02:18):
I think it's getting It usually gets better and easier
to pick, but a bunch of shows that I've watched,
hosts are on opposite sides of a lot of these games,
specifically when you throw the spread in there. Even I've
seen a lot that are just on opposite sides for
a straight up winner loss, but add the spread in
and it gets real wild. This week, we got a
(02:39):
lot of tight ones, a lot of really great football
games going on this week. So I'm excited to see
what it is. And yeah, there are a couple of
spots where I just see that the market was a
little misaligned in my opinion. I got missoua plus one
and a half already. I've laid some money on Texas
Tech as well, so yeah, and you know, the Longhorns won.
(03:02):
I got exactly what I wanted by saying that I
wouldn't back them last week and Stile jumping on with me.
Speaker 5 (03:07):
I got exactly what I wanted there.
Speaker 4 (03:09):
So happy about that and Texas winning and who, man,
whatever this heisman curses? Who's the who right now has
the best odds to win the Heisman?
Speaker 5 (03:18):
Because fails? It might be saying it is.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Close, it is close.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
I've seen a lot of a lot of shifting in
that market as well.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
Right now.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
If you're looking at strictly Heisman Carson Beck, Ty Simpson,
the co favorites plus three sixty plus three eighty, Mendoza
plus four seventy five. So kind of keying in on
a couple core quarterbacks. Here are for top five top
ten programs.
Speaker 5 (03:42):
I was on Miami. I don't know if I am.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Now we'll talk about one of them. I mean, let's
just get into the first one, don't Let's roll?
Speaker 1 (03:49):

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Let's start on Friday night where the line has opened
up where you can now only get the second ranked
Miami Hurricanes as thirteen and a half point home favorites
against the Louisville Cardinals. Louisville has a clean bill of
health aside from a cornerback questionable, and they're too deep.
Miami also at full strength. BP projections have this line
at eleven points, So maybe some slight value on the
(06:22):
Cardinals once again in a Friday night spot against the
ranked opponent trail.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
Oh yeah, absolutely. I mean this is where two trends
go and battle each other out. We got Jeff Brown
fifteen and nine ats against ranked opponents here for the
Louisville Cardinals. A lot of that was done over there
at Purdue. But if you know that Purdue team not
not really that good. So that's a very very impressive
record against ranked opponents swe C seven eighteen and one.
(06:47):
As a dog. Mario Crystobal comes into this as the
guy who yes, very good recruit, very very good recruiter,
and bringer of men, not as much as Exzo's On
the field. As a double digit home favorite, he is
nine fourteen and one, including one in one this season.
Did not get the number against with thim Cookman, but
he did cover the number against usself. With all of
(07:09):
that being said, Brom is the better coach here. That's
what I'm going to trust here when we get to
game day, the better coach. I think both of these
offenses are two very good offenses. I like the defenses.
I'm very interested in seeing and how Miami is going
to be able to dial up pressure and see if
they can get pressure on that LoVa offensive line against
Miller Moss here. But I trust Jeff Brom in this spot,
(07:32):
and I trust him to go in here and have
a really good game plan. And I've seen too many
times Mario cristaal be very very overrated in these home
spots here, and that's not something I want to go
with and shout out at the crib, I think that's
his name. There's some numbers by your name, but I
don't remember the numbers. But at the crib, he said
he's only coming in here to see micro arching hate
for Miami and I'm going for and keep it up
(07:54):
and all of that. Yes, yes, yes I do. Actually,
I wouldn't even say I just like Miami. I am
just tired.
Speaker 5 (08:02):
You dislike Mario cristiball.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
Yeah, it's really it's really Mario Christball and the idiot
things that he does on game day at times. And
you know what, he has not given up any games.
This season is still a long season ago. And guess what,
I got the heisman curse going with me as well,
because I didn't even know Beck was at the top
of the heisman now mean either the fact that he's
at the top of the heisman now curse all the way.
(08:24):
Friday Night Dogs. You know, I love him. I love
this dog. I know we're not talking about it. I
love Minnesota as well, So I'm gonna have some fun.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
Okay, all right, Well, Boggs Terrell definitely speaks I think
the truth when potentially talking about a coaching mismatch here.
But at the same time, I think the big match
up here is can that Louisville offensive line hanging tough
against Ruben Bain and Mesador here for Miami.
Speaker 5 (08:50):
Yeah, I'm gonna lean on this one.
Speaker 4 (08:51):
I'm and it's gonna be towards Miami just because they
played so well. I don't like this game though it
is Friday night. Mario kri Spaut does have a bad
track record. We've seen major upsets on Fridays already. Remember
FSU losing to Virginia. So this is just not going
to be my favorite game to pick. I'll stick with Miami, uh,
(09:13):
just because they look so dominant, and really, the difference
in this game, in my opinion, will be their defensive
line against this Louisville offensive line. Louisville defense, their defense
has been good, uh, but and they have good numbers.
Statistically they're good and great, but the strength schedule is
eighty second. The only impressive win that Louisville has was
against pitt and that was before they made the QB switch.
(09:35):
They lost to Uva last week. And I haven't put
my all my sheet in my notes. I know Terrell
is taking Louisville, uh, so I don't want to. I
don't hate that pick either. You know BP points, Yeah,
it's a lot of points.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
By the way in Miami in twenty too many oh
and three to this number since twenty twenty.
Speaker 4 (09:55):
Facing louis Yeah, I just I'm not a big trends guy.
I like what we've seen this season, and Ruben Bain
is the best defensive player in the country this year,
and I think he is going to massacre this line.
Miller Moss as one of the worst quarterback ratings quarterback
graades under pressure this year as well.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
Interesting.
Speaker 4 (10:14):
So I just I'm not a big fan of Louisville
this week against a tough Miami team, but I can
tell you this not gonna touch it. So maybe maybe
some player props, but not gonna touch the line here.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
Let's go ahead and let's get to the noonslate where
money must have come in on the Michigan Wolverines, as
they're now five and a half to six and a
half point home favorites against the Washington Huskies. Injuries include
for Washington, they're starting left tackle Carver Williams, left guard
John Mills, and edge Zach d Free. They're all still questionable.
Michigan starred running back Justice Haynes. He did exit with
(10:51):
an injury last week to his mid section, but Sharon
Moore said this week when asked about his availability, quote
good he was there yesterday, so we'll see how the
week goes, but feel good about it. So take that
for what you will. But BP projections also have this
line at five points, so again some slight value on
a road dog here in Washington. Is that or maybe
(11:13):
the team total market where you're still heading Bogs.
Speaker 4 (11:16):
Yeah, I like the team total here. I would pick
Washington against the spread. I know they're on the road,
but getting plus points for them, but I just really
don't like picking a side. I like this over twenty
one and a half. It's dropped by a point since
we last talk Seth and Michigan needs this game. They're
at home. But I've been wrong picking them up and
down this season, picking forth and picking against them. I've
been wrong against Michigan all year. USC just put up
(11:39):
under five hundred yards and thirty one points on Michigan.
Rayola was thirty to forty one for three hundred and
eight yards and three touchdowns with a pick against Michigan.
Demon Williams has the fifth highest completion percentage when pressured,
so we do think that obviously Michigan is going to
put pressure on Demon Williams, but he choose up pressure,
so I'm not worried about him. He also leads the
(12:01):
country and scrambles with twenty eight. Sixteen is the next highest,
So Devin Williams is not afraid to pull it down
and run it. And remember Matier chewed them up Michigan
nineteen for seventy four and two on the ground and
twenty one to thirty four for two seventy one and
one through the air.
Speaker 5 (12:17):
Washington.
Speaker 4 (12:17):
I like a lean Washington plus the points, but the
games in Michigan have look the worst in we're all
on the road and they're at home here. I think
the only thing I'm really sure about is both team
scoring points. I really like the way the Huskies offense
has been playing, so I'll stick to the team total
over twenty one and a half, but lean Washington with
the points.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
Troe, we talked about this earlier this week with Boggs myself,
that Michigan it just feels like things on offense don't
come easy to them right now outside of Haynes. And
for Washington, they have such a star studded caliber roster
there with Boston, with Coleman in the backfield, do you
think that's enough to put them over the top. And
maybe even get a little money line action here on
(12:56):
the Huskies.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
Yeah, dude, I'm not aught into this Michigan team. I've
been fading this Michigan team for a majority part of
the season and the last year to ye like you
make money fait in Michigan. Who knew? Like, come on,
They're not that great of a team. Yes, they have
some pieces that I'm excited about, but I just don't
I don't believe in the organization. I don't think that
Searan Moore is getting all he can out of this team.
(13:21):
And so when I see that, and I see a
Washington team that's gone on the road multiple times and
come out pretty all right and played pretty well. They
didn't cover the number against Maryland, but they were able
to go get the win. They destroyed Wazoo. That's what
they were supposed to do. Like, I think this is
going to be an opportunity where this Washington team is
going to be one of those teams that everybody's not
(13:42):
really talking about in college football because they just kind
of just keep trucking along, chucking along. Yes, they went
and they had the game against Ohio State was on
them there. They didn't get that done. But chucking along,
trucking a law and trucking along and nobody's really paying
them any attention.
Speaker 5 (13:56):
And so nice comeback win against Maryland too.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
Yeah. I thought that it was a bad spot for
Michigan last week against USC, and honestly, I don't really
feel too good about the spot, especially with the injuries
that they have here. So yeah, give me a three
point game. Michigan can win this game, but they're not
going to go out here and win it by a touchdown.
I think this is going to be one of those
numbers where, yeah, Washington comes through with the spread and
then maybe Michigan has some home cooking at the end
(14:22):
and they win this by two or three.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
I think if Haynes is out, I'm definitely going Washington.
But I think if Hanes is in, it's going to
be a no bet for me.
Speaker 5 (14:29):
But try.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
I love the analysis there. I think we're back to
fag in Michigan. I think it's official voice. I think
the fad is on. But before we keep it moving,

noonslate the number seventeen Vanderbilt Commodores. They've been seamed up
to two and a half to three point favorites against
the tenth ranked LSU Tigers. On the injury front, LSU
has the fall in questionable starting wide receiver Aaron Anderson,
starting defensive tackle Bernard Golden, starting center Braylan Moore, two
deep edge Jamari Butler Vanderbilt they should be at full strength. Besides,
(15:39):
they have one cornerback in their two deep who remains
questionable BP projections. Right now, they have this at essentially
at a pick them. So is there maybe some value
with LSU in this one?
Speaker 5 (15:49):
Trell no O, What a silly question to ask?
Speaker 3 (15:55):
Torell no but seriously, like not even talking about Diego
Pavia and the glorious thing that there's this Vanderbilt team
that's been run under Diego Pavia and I can't wait
to faith him after he finally hangs up his cleats here.
But I will say this is that this LSU team
has quit every single step along the way every season
(16:16):
under Brian Kelly. They have quit every single season. It's
never failed. And now I sit here and I look
at this five and one LSU team that really, honestly,
truly if you hasn't looked good literally too many times
along the step steps along the way. They even lost
the game outright to Ole Miss. So like, I really
(16:38):
just don't even think that this team really has looked
that great. We got him in a good spot with
lagway on the road, but take away I mean, but
take away that win against Florida, and like it really
looks kind of ordinary for the LSU Tigers, whereas this
Vanderbilt team, well, there it's a dog. It's a dog
on that side of the ball. Like, come on, So
I'm sitting here and I don't I see the track
(16:59):
whorder Brian Kelly with this team and what they've done
in years past. I look at them this year and
I see that that don't feel like they are talented
enough that they're making enough plays. I don't feel like
the driver is there when I watch this team, I
feel like they're just they're just riding off the coattails
of Hey, we are LSU. We are LSU. Why is
LSU the number ten team in the country right now? Why?
Because if I sit here and I really really go
(17:21):
through it, there's a number of teams underneath them that
I'm like, all of these teams are playing better football
than LSU right now, and are we just going to
sit here and roll on? Oh they're sec Like, No,
I don't think that's the case. So I'm not big
on LSU. I don't think that they're a number ten
team in the country. I don't think that they're anywhere close.
(17:41):
I think Vanderbilt is way closer to being number ten
than LSU is. I will lay the points and they're
telling you that Vanderbilt is closer to ten than LSU
is because they're laying two and a half here. The
defense has been really, really good for Vanderbilt all season.
They lost to Alabama Woo do do they lost to Alabama.
A lot of people lose to Alabama, and I'll be
able to at that. So now you've got to go
(18:02):
into the construction zone, which is Vanderbilt and try to
win a game. Good luck.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
Okay, Boggs, you and I have had a really really
interesting discussion on the Early Line show that pointing me
towards the under. Only one of LSU's games this season
have gone over this total now is Southeastern Louisiana. All
of Vandy's SEC games have also stayed under this total
as well. Both teams are outside the top thirty in
(18:28):
ten plus yard plays. So I'm firmly on the under.
Do you have us lean whether it's a side or
the total?
Speaker 4 (18:35):
For my friends, yeah, I think I would lean towards Vandy,
And you know, wow, I've I've been browbeaten on this one,
and I know better than to doubt Diego Pavia anymore,
you know, to lead them to wins against even good teams.
Like Terrell said, they've been very good against everybody but
Bama and Vandy is a home favorite. I like the under.
(18:57):
I think the best unit on the field still is
LSU defense. For Andy defense has been outstanding you know,
Pavia gets a lot of the credit, but I think
the difference between this year and last year is the
Vandy defensive line. They've been stronger against the run. They're
hitting quarterbacks. They got Simpson four times the other week.
They're fourteenth in sacks per game in the nation with
three per game. Capers and Cinder, the two defensive ends
(19:19):
for them, are both top twenty five in hurries this season,
and neus Meyer is ninety second of one hundred graded
quarterbacks and completion percentage when pressured, and they pass at
a sixty percent clip at LSU. LSU has only allowed
Ole Miss to score more than twenty points. As you mentioned, Seth,
both teams play at a post one hundred and tenth
slowest pace in the country.
Speaker 5 (19:41):
The rest one is.
Speaker 4 (19:42):
Going to be low scoring in gross. Stick to the under,
but I mean I might wait because this has already
climbed a couple points since we talked, Seth. People like
to bet the over. They believe in Diego Pavia. I
think this game is going to go under. I think
that's the best bet. But you know what, for once
I'm finally on Vandy with Terrell, I'm gonna lean that
(20:03):
it is, but but I I traditionally I would have
picked LSU in this game. But that's why it looks
like garbage.
Speaker 5 (20:08):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (20:08):
Offense has done nothing. They have done absolutely nothing this year.
And I think, honestly, I think that's my playing hurt.
I think he's got a hit an injury. He looks
like such a different player. But if it's not that,
then he's just real bad.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
Yeah, you're hurt.
Speaker 5 (20:21):
I can't trust him either way.
Speaker 4 (20:22):
Yeah, give me Vandy, but I I'm lots of money
on the on that's also.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
Added so that they're running this you know, form of
triple option here. You see the shovel passes, you see
all of that in his Vandy offense. It's hard to
prepare for one in one week. They just came off
the South Carolina game, Like, it's really hard to prepare
for that going on the route in one week.
Speaker 1 (20:43):
Speaking of South Carolina, another game where the spread has
widen comes in Colombia with the South Carolina game. Cocks
now four and a half to five and a half
point home dogs against the Oklahoma Sooners. Oklahoma starters are
a full go, including quarterback John Mattier, but they don't
have much depth on that offensive line currently, so something
where to happen there it could spell trouble. South Carolina.
(21:05):
Their current starting right tackle Cason Henry. He is questionable
along with two interior alignment in the two deep BP
projections have the Sooners as nearly nine and a half
point favorite, So they're saying lay all the points right
now with the Sooners.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
Is that your approach to this game? Bogs?
Speaker 3 (21:22):
No?
Speaker 5 (21:23):
I like the under.
Speaker 4 (21:23):
Nothing has changed for me since Monday, and this one
is still the under to me. It's gone up by
a point and the money is just slightly on the
over here.
Speaker 5 (21:31):
I like that.
Speaker 4 (21:32):
I would just wait to see, you know, if it
keeps ticking up. But we saw Materier struggle last week. Again,
it's very good Texas defense, and Sellers has been rough
all season. The game Cocks have zero running game this year,
which is where Oklahoma has been. Outside of Materier running
the ball. Blaylock has been okay, but Jade Not has
not lived up to his hype and everything works off
the pass for Oklahoma. The Sea offensive line has been
(21:54):
really awful post one hundred grades and both pass and
run blocking this season. In passing, rushing and total offense. Oh,
you might shut out South Carolina. I would not be
shocked by that if they don't make in sustained drives
or make big plays, both of which haven't been done
much against South Carolina this year. So with materier struggles,
oh you strong defense, the pathetic nature of the South
(22:17):
Carolina offense, this one is just an easy under for me.
I still think this is like a seventeen ten, thirteen
to ten, gross, low scoring, disgusting sec battle.
Speaker 1 (22:29):
Yeah for me, I'm on the South Carolina team total
under seventeen and a half points. I think it's more about, like, yes,
this is the number one defense in Oklahoma. I think
they will absolutely shut down South Carolina. They haven't allowed
any team to go over seventeen and a half points
aside from your Texas Longhorns last week, Bogs, And that
was a.
Speaker 5 (22:47):
Kick return and four turnovers.
Speaker 4 (22:50):
Yes, like that is why Texas scored that many points,
because Texas offense hasn't been good either.
Speaker 1 (22:55):
Yeah, and like South Carolina, dude, Like, I think one
of my biggest missteps in the offseason was really respecting
this game Cocks offense because they're so bad, like one
hundred and forty fourth in penalties right now one hundred
and twenty six and sacks allowed one hundred and fourth
and third down conversion one hundred and seventeenth in red
zone scoring percentage. So you name it, Terrell. The South
(23:15):
Carolina offense has not been good. We all thought Sellers
might have a run into Heisman Trophy. It's been anything
but that.
Speaker 3 (23:21):
Yeah, I mean I pointed it out earlier when they
had the struggles against South Carolina State, that the offense
did not look right and there was nothing wrong here,
and so Beamer probably out the door, probably a good
reason why. I mean, I'm not gonna lie like if
the offense isn't rolling, that's what Biemer does. We talk
about Beamer ball, Ah, Beamer ball isn't ball, and then
there's no reason for Beamer to ball. So with that
(23:43):
being said, I still like South Carolina just because there's
no reason they should be playing tier right now. If
they were playing the backup, it would probably be very
confident in Oh you, I think that they'd be able
to put Muster up seventeen eighteen points in offense. But
but Tire just did not look good against Ceessus at all.
He's clearly still hurt. He's pretty sure, isn't he a
(24:05):
Texas guy? Like he wanted to play in that game
so bad and ultimately he cost his team the game. Like,
if we're being honest, he kind of cost his team
the game. And there's a chance that he could cost
his team in the game here, because it's not like that.
That South Carolina defense is no slouch at all on
their own right. They actually make very good plays. They
have a player that is one of the best defensive
players in the country as well. And so I think
(24:25):
that this is going to be a situation where, yeah,
I really do like your under. I think the under
is a good play, but you know me, Acs, I
like South Carolina plus points.
Speaker 1 (24:33):
Here in Athens, the ninth rank Georgia Bulldogs. They've moved
to seven to seven and a half point home favorites
over the fifth ranked Ole Miss Rebels injuries for ole Miss.
According to CBS Sports, we're hearing that despite whatever happens
with Austin Simmons, it will be Trinidad Chambliss under center
starting quarterback for the Revs this week. Georgia's right tackle
(24:56):
Ernest Green the third he is questionable. He did dress
last week. He did travel with the team, but he
did not play, so unknown what his stats will be.
The right guard, though Van Gaston, is also now questionable,
so that right side of the line could be an
issue for the Bulldogs. BP projections have this line as
a five and a half point game, So showing some
slight ev on the Revs and if you get them
(25:17):
right now, you can do so above a touchdown.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
Is that where you're headed?
Speaker 3 (25:21):
Drell, No, I am not on the Revs here. I'm
on Georgia and the Dogs, even though they got to
win that they truly did not deserve last week. And
it's because that they didn't deserve to win that they
had so much to hey, so much to work up,
so much to clean up. They understand, Hey, we still
got to continue to get this going. And ultimately, I
(25:41):
do not have any faith at all whatsoever in the
ole Miss defense. We've seen this multiple times this season.
That ole Miss defense is leaky and they can give
up a number of points here, and I think that
if you're not going to be able to shore up
the defensive side of the ball against Georgia like you
did last year, where you help them ten points of offense,
and I know Kirby Smart has that on the bulletin
(26:04):
board all seasons circling. Hey, we got kicked by these
teams last year, and we're gonna come in here. We're
gonna play a different style of football. We're gonna put
some points up at home this year. I think that
that's going to be very, very tough to ask the
Old Miss defense to get stops on Georgia on the
offensive side of the ball when they just decide, hey,
we're gonna let gunners Stockton just air the ball out
and let the Georgia playmakers make plays. So with that
(26:27):
being said, I'm all over Georgia here. I think george
is gonna run the score up on them. I think
they're mad about last year and the offense gets going
and really takes advantage of a very very suspect Old
Miss defense this year.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
Bogs is a huge spot for both of these squads
right now. This really means something to the SEC championship standings.
We know Pat and Herbie Reese and the boys will
be down there for college game Day. What do you
think they see play out here versus Georgia and Old Miss?
Speaker 4 (26:55):
How do I fade both of these teams. That is
what I really want to do here. I don't like
either one of these squads this year. I think they're
just not up to par what they normally are. I
still lean Georgia, but I think my take in this
game is going to be the under.
Speaker 5 (27:09):
Again.
Speaker 4 (27:10):
The more I stare at this game, the more I
like the under. Georgia's at home, they have been dominant
time of possession nineteenth in the country versus Old Miss
one hundred and fifth, and they played a much slower
pace which helps us towards the under. Georgia passes the
ball more than running, but Old Miss is twenty eighth
and passing yards allowed per game and fortieth in coverage grade.
Old Miss runs the ball well over fifty percent, and
Georgia's seventeenth statistically against the run and third and run
(27:33):
defense grade Stockton is still so low in a DOT
one hundred and six out of one hundred and thirteen
quarterbacks this season, and Georgia's defense is top twenty and
ten plus yard plays allowed, so they capped the big
plays as well. I think both these teams buckle down
in the red zone on defense. Georgia is fifth, Ole
misses twenty seventh in opposition red zone scoring percentage. The
(27:55):
only thing that worries me about the total in this
game is that neither one of these teams have rushed
the passer. Well, they're both just okay and pass block great,
but the play by play matchup, and I think the
slower pace that Georgia plays at them being at home,
I expect them to control the clock. I like the
under here more than picking a side, but I'm gonna
(28:17):
lean Georgia as well, because from whatever devil magic they're using,
they keep pulling these games out. So I think this
is one of the least talented Georgia squads we've seen
in recent history, but they keep winning some of these games,
so I'll lean towards them. But I really don't like
the side here. I'm gonna stick with the under.
Speaker 1 (28:35):
We've had huge spread shrinkage in Tempe, with the number
seven Texas Tech Red Raiders now sitting as just eight
and a half point favorites a ship between two to
four points in some books, including our partner over there
at hard Rock Bet Injuries. For Texas Tech, they have
Baron Moore in their quarterback. He has listed day to
day their defensive tackle Skyler Gil Howard also questionable. ASU
(28:58):
has Sam Levitt taking first team, probably why this spread
has come down some. However, their senior starting center Ben
Coleman and two deep linebacker Zyrus Fasciu they are done
for the season.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
Also, we got news that they're starting right.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
Tackle Max High Heen Anchor is going to be out
of this one. Plus their backup center also questionable. So
BP projections right now, we have this at a nine
point line. Is this a stay away spot for you,
Scott Boggin.
Speaker 4 (29:27):
No, this is I'm taking Texas Tech. I'm running on
the Raiders until they let me down. That's basically what's happening.
I think, reading between the lines of what both coaches
have said, Sam Levitt's going to play. I think Baron
Morton Joey MacGuire said he's the toughest football player I've
ever seen in my life. I think he's going to
play as well. So, but I don't know that it
(29:47):
matters if if Baron Morton doesn't play.
Speaker 5 (29:50):
Will Hammon has looked good.
Speaker 4 (29:51):
He didn't look great passing the ball last week, but
he didn't get any first team reps last week because
Barron Mooreton got hurt in the game, he still ran
for two touchdowns and seventy yards or whatever it was,
so and they won the game and beat the spread.
So Texas Tech is I think they're going to go
undefeated unless they start dropping like flies. So you know,
I just think I took this line at nine and
(30:12):
a half. It continues to fall. I'm gonna take it again.
Tech hasn't budged against the run this season. I mean,
we know that Levit's probably gonna play, but I don't
think he's going to be prepared to scramble. The Raiders
will pin their ears back, they'll take a lead, and
they're gonna take his head off. I think they get
They got Daniels eight times last week, and they seem
to be getting better and better. Because this is a
(30:33):
unit of transfers, they're really starting to gel right now.
So I think I don't know that we've even seen
peak Texas Tech yet, and I just think they're by
far the best team in the Big twelve. I think
they go undefeated, and I don't think I think they
went by double digits at Tempe even with Levitt playing,
So I'm all over the Raiders here.
Speaker 1 (30:52):
I feel so conflicted here because I do have a
playoff future on Arizona State, but I worry that this
could kind of be the nail on the coffin.
Speaker 5 (31:01):
Burn it to that.
Speaker 4 (31:02):
Yeah, make up your money on the Raiders this week
and burn that card.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (31:07):
The offensive line injuries really scare me. Trell being without
your starting center, the backup center injured as well, questionable
for this one, and missing your right tackle in a
season where they already had tight end issues to also
help there in the blocking. So your thoughts on this
game Arizona State and Texattack.
Speaker 3 (31:25):
Yeah, I think that. I think if Levitt plays, there's
a good chance that Arizona State is going to be
in this game. And it's off of Kenny Dillingham. Kenny
Dengingham is a really, really good coach that I think
is going to game plan and they under and they understand.
You know, they were Jeff Sims away from trying to
be competitive in that game last week. I don't think
they would have. I was still on you saw, but
(31:45):
just it sucks.
Speaker 2 (31:46):
Yeah, he's terrible.
Speaker 3 (31:47):
I mean I I've talked to I've talked about him
since we've been doing the show, which you.
Speaker 5 (31:52):
Got I mean, guys, what did I say?
Speaker 3 (31:54):
He's always and he's always been bad. It doesn't matter.
He's the guy that's been Georgia Tech, Nebraska, doesn't matter
where he goes. He's been bad every step along the way.
And I'm shocked that he even has a job as
a backup right now. And that's the only knock against
Kelly Digingham, because I know you can find you another
backup quarterback. However, I bring all of that to say,
Kelly Daily haam off of a loss seven and two
(32:15):
against the spread. He's very good as a dog as well.
And so I'm looking at this spot and I'm saying
that they lost this game last year, so there's some
get back in there revenge spot there. They even outgained
him in that game last year. And the quick thing
that everybody's gonna talk about, oh, it was camp Scattipool
on the team. And you know Scattaboo's reason. No, they
had ninety four rush yards in that game, and they
(32:37):
outgained him, outgained him by a good a good margin
as well. And it was because of Sam Levitt. If
sam Levick feels comfortable, I think Sam Levitt actually can
go against almost anybody. We've seen this Arizona State team
go up against Texas and give them a game. So
it's like, I think that this version of Sam Levitt
(32:57):
and if they get solid offensive line play, that's what
it's going to be. Everybody's rushing to quick say that,
you know, Texas Sector is defensive line is automatically going
to overwhelm them. But they are on the road in
this spot. It has been a good season, and normally
college football teams have that letdown. I think this is
the letdown of all Right, Killy Dillingham sees the writing
on the wall. He's got Levit back. He's gonna go
(33:19):
out here, have a really really good game plan in
Texas Tech, and even in a loss, they make this
game close. They go out there and make this game close.
They really really challenged them on the defensive side of ball.
We don't talk about that part of enough for Arizona State,
but it's gonna be Sam Levitt and Sam Levitt just
being a gamer with those wide receivers. So I like
Arizona State with Levitt. If it was Sims, it would
(33:39):
have been Texas Tech all the way for me, no
doubt in my mind, and it's still time for that.
Like we could sit here and speculate that Levit is
playing all we want, but college football has done that
to us in the past, where they burn us is
exactly what happened last week. So there's no way. And
so there's no way that I'm not doing I'm playing
any thing right now because it could be get up
(34:02):
to the game day and they say, oh, no, Levi
is really not feeling that good with Gomes Sims anyway,
even though he practiced all week, you could have a
setback in practice. All of that. Not betting this beforehand
because I have to know. But if you told me
that Sam Levitt is in this game, an Arizona State
mated game, I would not be surprised. But if you
tell me that Jeff Simms is starting in the game,
I'm telling you one hundred no shots they are in
(34:23):
the How many.
Speaker 5 (34:24):
Points does Tech win by? If if it's Jeff Simms.
Speaker 4 (34:26):
Thirty three they won every game by.
Speaker 3 (34:32):
Can't Oh, he's horrible.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
From what I heard last week from Dillingham is that
was basically one of those situations that during the bye
week Jeff took all the starter reps and then also
during the week leading up to the game, he.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
Took all the starter reps.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
So while Levitt wasn't practice, he wasn't running around, he
wasn't taking hits anything like that. He was just more
doing pocket passing. So Boggs, any any final thoughts. Look,
so you had something else to say on Jeff Simms.
Speaker 4 (34:57):
Yeah, I just last week when they announced Jeff sim
I text both you guys, and I'm like, well, I'm
off the devils here. I mean, Jeff Simms is just
not good at all. So I just, you know, I
think that this Texas Tech team is too overwhelming on
the old line. You mentioned the on line injuries. I'm
sticking with the Raiders.
Speaker 1 (35:15):
Seems like a really nice young man, like if he
ever wants to you know, when he finishes his collegiate career.
I don't know what his major is, and maybe if
it's communications, if you want to spot here on the
Ben Pros College Football Show, we can we can use
a fourth analyst.
Speaker 2 (35:27):
That'd be cool with that.
Speaker 3 (35:28):
And you know, those type of quarterbacks are really good
at breaking down actual good quarterbacks.
Speaker 2 (35:32):
They are. They are absolutely guys.
Speaker 1 (35:35):

primetime slate where some money may have come in on
the thirteenth ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish as they are
now eight and a half to nine and a half
point home favorites against the twentieth ranked USC Trojans. USC
will again be without its top two running backs, Wayman
Jordan and Eli Sanders, leaving redshirt freshman King Miller to
shoulder the load.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
Yet again.
Speaker 1 (36:38):
Also questionable is their center Killing O'Connor and left tackle
Elijah Page. Notre Dame, they have lost starting center Ashton
Craig for the season. They're also still without their starting
offensive tackle Charles Jagsua. Also, they have questionable once again
as always, cornerback Devon to Smith feels like he's on
(36:59):
the injury every single week, and then wide receiver Jane
Greathhouse did not play last week as well.
Speaker 2 (37:05):
BP projections. Right now, we have this line set.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
At five and a half points, so maybe some potential
value on the Trojans at this big of a line.
Speaker 3 (37:13):
What do you think, Trell, I'm out on this game. Honestly,
I was good.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
I was good.
Speaker 3 (37:19):
Yeah, I'm I'm I was good with the Trojans last week.
If you had to, you know, put a gun to
my head, I'm probably gonna take Notre Dame in this spot,
even though it is the late game with the travels,
so it's not like that they're filling the time body
clock there too too much. But sure, it's just more
of this Notre Dame defense has allowed one touchdown each
game in the past three games, and one of those
games was to Arkansas, and so I think the Notre
(37:42):
Dame defense has woken up in this backhard is season.
That was a big part of what everybody was really
really hating on them for. They didn't feel like the
defense was all that good, and now the defense looks
a lot better in the past few games. Now I'll
be at Arkansas, Boise State, and c State regardless, but
one touchdown in each game is one touchdown in each
game regardless. That's good regardless. So I think that the
(38:03):
Notre Dame. I know that they can score points. I
know they'll be able to go out there and put
something on the board against this USC Trojan's defense. But
I do think that the Notre Dame defense is going
to be the difference here. So I would lay it
with Notre Dame and just trust Marcus Freeman, good ats coach,
to be able to handle business on what should be
a little bit of a down rivalry game. After just
beating Michigan last week.
Speaker 1 (38:24):
Scott, you have a bit of a track record, to
say the least of wanting to stay away from the
fighting Irish this season is at once again the case here.
Speaker 4 (38:33):
I mean it is, but I'm gonna bet against their defense,
So we're going to We're gonna take the team total
over for USC. I just think this offense for USC
is undeniable right now. I mean, the defense is gonna
get gashed by anybody. They got smoked by Luke Altmeyer,
who only crumbles against like the very tippy top of competition.
Speaker 1 (38:52):
CJ.
Speaker 5 (38:52):
Carrs look good.
Speaker 4 (38:53):
I do wonder if the Trojans' ability to score will
put pressure on him and force him into mistakes. The
pass rush is great for USC, but the coverage sucks
for them right now. But I do think the USC
offense is just unstoppable. Even with Jordan going down, I
think this offense is susceptible to torch. We saw King
(39:16):
Miller go for eighteen for one fifty eight in a
touchdown against Michigan last week. So I'll lean USC, but
I'm going to go to the team total over twenty
four and a half. Our Dame typically plays strong defense,
but the passing defense this year is one hundred and
fourth in grade. I lean USC, but I really want
this total. I just think that Jade Mayeva is unstoppable
(39:39):
right now. So over twenty four and a half for USC.
Speaker 1 (39:43):
The spread has also come to level ground in Tuscaloosa,
with the number eleven Tennessee volunteers now rolling in as
seven and a half to eight and a half point
road dogs against the number six Alabama Crimson tide for
injuries at Tennessee starting running back to Sean Bishop, coming
on off a career day. He is expected to play,
but will likely be at less than one hundred percent. Alabama,
(40:06):
They're running back that they got back recently, Jam Miller.
Speaker 2 (40:09):
He is in concussion protocol.
Speaker 1 (40:11):
The tighter also bound injuries in their wide receiver depth
as well VP projections. They have this closer to under
six points, So Bogs, is this another spot to fade
Bama after Mazoo got the cover for us last week
against them?
Speaker 4 (40:27):
I think I just like the over in this game, right,
and I really like the Bama team total over because
their offense has been putting on a show. This is
going to be an offensive battle. In my opinion, Tennessee
feels a lot like USC in this one. They can't
stop scoring, but they can on anyone, right. Yeah, Bama
has some key pieces banged up Ryan Williams Sham Miller,
(40:49):
but Tys Simpson has been on a damn roll. One
interception this season sixteen touchdowns. Tennessee is giving up points
to everyone, thirty one to Archie, thirty fort to Mississippi State,
twenty forty, UAB forty four to UGGA. Put on them
Trent dil For man, Yeah.
Speaker 5 (41:06):
I mean, well, who cares about Trent dil For?
Speaker 4 (41:08):
But the Falls have played okay against the run, but
that won't help them with this version of Bama passing
at a sixty percent clip. The balls have gotten to
the quarterback, but Simpson is top twenty in completion percentage
under pressure and the Fall secondary has been picked apart
all year. Tennessee has been in games this year, and
(41:28):
this number doesn't show value to the either side. According
to BP, I'm still gonna be on the Bama side,
but I really like this team total over thirty four
and a half because I just don't think Tennessee is
in a position to stop anyone right now. They play
Alabama harder than they play anybody else. I get that,
but I just think this is going to be a
back and forth. I think this is going to look
similar to the Georgia Tennessee game, where both teams can score.
Speaker 1 (41:51):
You know, who cares about UAB Bogs Alabama does because
they pluck so many dang players from them every single year.
Speaker 4 (41:58):
Like UAB, I don't care anything about Trent dilferd what
Trentilver was a raven for too long for me to
care about him.
Speaker 5 (42:04):
All Right, I'm.
Speaker 1 (42:04):
Pretty sure he's also a Pennsylvania guy. Off the double
check on that try. Any thoughts here on Trent dilfer
firing or Alabama Tennessee.
Speaker 3 (42:12):
Yeah, the only the only place that I disagree with
Bogs is the thought that Tennessee is going to get
any type of stop in this game. And so yeah, yeah,
Tennessee may be able to put up some twenty points
or whatever Alabama's gonna put up forty, Tennessee literally cannot
get stops. At least in the Georgia game, they were
able to get stops. They were able to keep that
game in reach. The game is going to be.
Speaker 5 (42:33):
Out forty in overtime from forty three to four.
Speaker 3 (42:38):
No I was talking about the Alabama I was talk
about the Alabama Georgia game. In the Alabama Georgia they
were Alabama was able to produce enough stops keep themselves
in the game and where a twenty four point game
was able to get them to win. Tennessee is not
going to be able to do that with Alabama. Tennessee's
not getting any type of stops here. Tennessee's not stopping anybody.
And then so now you need Agalar to be perfect
(42:59):
on the route to get yourself in this game. Perfect.
He's not able to do that either. I don't think
he's that good either. I think I can easily see
this jumping to ten seventeen point league just like that.
And now Tennessey's trying to play ketchup. They're trying to
play from behind, They're trying to throw and put themselves
in the game, but ultimately they're not gonna be able
(43:20):
to stop the run game of Alabama. Alabama's got so
many weapons on the outside that's going to torch this
Tennessee secondary. And I mean absolutely towards the Tennessee secondary.
I have no faith in the Tennessee bolls. And granted,
Calen Obarra, you are very interesting, sir, I don't know
how I feel about you. However, I do still have
Alabama to win the national title that I said earlier
(43:42):
in the season, so I have to rock with you.
Speaker 5 (43:43):
You jumped Chip in Week one.
Speaker 3 (43:46):
Yeah, but I couldn't. Yeah, but I couldn't get out
the ticket. So like, so I mean, where we're all
the way back around and we're right back here to Alabama.
And so guess what we're back on to Alabama? Give
me Altabair Milana points here. It's really just more of
a fat of Tennessee. And also this Alabama team gets
up for Tennessee. They lost this game last year. They
(44:06):
really want to get to get back here. So it's
a really nice revenge week for people getting revenge on
teams that took them out last year. And so I
think that this is going to be a spot where
they're really looking forward to put it on in Tennessee.
Because Alabama doesn't lose games often, and to lose to
Tennessee at Tennessee like they did the past two times
they did, I think they're going to get some get
back here.
Speaker 1 (44:26):
Okay, quick sidebar Trento for not from Pennsylvania, California. So
I don't know what I was thinking there, but we.
Speaker 2 (44:32):
Closed the buck there.
Speaker 1 (44:33):
As we noted though early on the Early Line Show
this week, the movement between the fifteenth rank Missouri Tigers
and the Auburn Tigers, has been absolutely insane.
Speaker 2 (44:43):
Started with Miszoo plus two and a half.
Speaker 1 (44:46):
They've now moved anywhere from one and a half to
two and a half point favorite, so completely flipped here.
They are full strength though Auburn. Meanwhile, wide receiver Herotio
Fields and running back to Row Robinson they've remained out.
Also questionable are starters safety Caleb Harris, defensive end Keldrick Fulk,
linebacker Kenyan Crawford, and tight end at Brandon Fraser and Boggs.
(45:09):
You mentioned something about also someone getting dismissed from the
team this week as well.
Speaker 2 (45:14):
Yeah, yeah, another running.
Speaker 5 (45:16):
Back he's a team captain, got boot.
Speaker 2 (45:17):
Yeah, and they had, you know, kind.
Speaker 1 (45:19):
Of switched running backs at this point too, without getting
who was projected to be their starter all season long
back in Robinson. So I don't know how much of
a you know, on the field difference that makes, but
it's definitely a culture thing and BP projections they have
always throughout this entire process. This week had the Zoo
as one and a half point favorite. So in my opinion,
(45:40):
I think the value has been bet out of this game.
Speaker 2 (45:42):
Tourelle, do you agree?
Speaker 3 (45:44):
No, I still take Auburn Auburn was supposed to win
that game. Last week, Auburn came out there very, very focused,
and I think that because that they had to melt
down after they were cheated out of a touchdown that
would have put them up seventeen to nothing. And I
mean the momentum, it was the biggest momentum shift that
I've seen in one play in a single game of
college football this year, where one play literally turned how
(46:07):
the rest of the game was gonna go. Then you
get into the second half and you get the no
I was clapping. I wasn't. I wasn't calling time out.
I was. I was clapping, That's what I was doing. Ref,
I wasn't calling time out like they got a free
play on that, and it, I mean, we lost the
outright win, We lost the spread on that. It was
a horrible, horrible into the game for Auburn backers. And
(46:30):
with that, all BA said, they still with it. Had
that game against Georgia. I think they're gonna go out here,
They're gonna be focused, locked in, and have another good
game here against Missou. Here Maszoo's first time playing outside
of Missouri. They've been playing at home all the way
up until this point. This is the first road game.
This is the first road start for Pabulah the quarterback
as well, and you're playing in Auburn in the depths
(46:53):
of SEC country where they have their back against the wall.
The back is against the wall. If you look at
the rest of the season, they played at Arkansas, home
to Kentucky, at Vandy, home to Mercer, shout to Mercer
for being an SEC team, and then home to Bama.
You have to win this. You have to get the
home games to give yourself a chance at a bowl.
You gotta get the home games and then maybe you
(47:15):
see what happens in the last game of the season
with Bama, and maybe you get an extra win in there.
But you gotta beat Mercer, gotta be Kentucky. You gotta
win this game here against Maaszoo. I feel like they're
back against the wall. I feel like Jill Freeze knows
his job is on the line here. This is a
way to jump start the turn of your season is
by knocking off a top five opponent at home here.
I like Auburn here to be able to get this done.
(47:36):
I really think they played a good game last week
and it was just the fact that they were playing
against Georgia and the reps Boggs.
Speaker 1 (47:42):
Auburn was one of those teams preseason for me that
I really tried to find a way to get invested
with in the futures market because I love this roster
as a whole, but I just can't trust Jackson Arnold here,
especially against a Missouri team that it feels like between Coleman,
between Hardy and the backfield and pri Buola, like their
offense is clicking in their defense stellar as well.
Speaker 2 (48:01):
What are your takes on this game?
Speaker 4 (48:02):
Yeah, look, I'm I'm all over Missouri here, but I'll admit, like, look,
Jorden hair is weird, especially at night. And this is
this is Missouri's first road game. We looked it up before.
Christrelle and I were spatting about this game before. And
this is Bopabule's first big road start, right or maybe
his first road start ever. So there are, you know,
(48:24):
maybe some weird things that I didn't consider in this game.
But the biggest thing to me is that are you
getting a new quarterback at Auburn? Because if you're not,
Jackson Arnold ain't getting done. Auburn's had a very difficult schedule,
but they're getting beat up, especially Jackson Donald running as
much as he has. They dismissed the team captain this week.
Speaker 5 (48:44):
I think.
Speaker 4 (48:45):
I think that loss against Georgia is just going to
take the wind out of.
Speaker 5 (48:49):
Their sales Missouri. The only thing.
Speaker 4 (48:51):
Missouri needs to do here is come in and play
their game. They just can't let Alabama beat them twice.
That's really the biggest thing for Missouri here. They need
to refocus take advantage of a team that is just
about ready to.
Speaker 5 (49:03):
Give all the way up.
Speaker 4 (49:04):
In my opinion, I think we are going to see
the true quick factor from Auburn here and possibly a
QB change if Arnold isn't getting the job done. Auburn
hasn't been able to get the ball to these awesome
weapons that they've invested in, and they might. That might
change next week against Arkansas, but I don't think it's
gonna change this week against Miszoo. I think that defense
is too good FORBULA in the run game is going
(49:25):
to be too strong. I think they do enough to
win this game. So yeah, I'm gonna take I'm gonna
take Missouri, and I got it at plus points. But
I would lay, I'd lay a point and a half
or anything below three, I would lay for Missouri as well.
Speaker 1 (49:40):
Okay, let's go ahead and round out the program with
the Holy War, where the number twenty three Utah Utes
are still between a three and three and a half
point road favorite against the number fifteen BYU. Cougar's injuries
for this game not as bad as it was last
week for Utah, but they're still really banged up. We
mentioned last week they lost their h back Hunter Andrews,
(50:00):
their cornerback Rabbit Evans, and their wide receiver Darden Zipper
for the season. Also their starting safety Nate Ritchie and
their depth defensive end of Paul Fitzgerald very questionable for
this game BYU. Their starting linebacker Jack Kelly and two
deep nose tackle a Nauseul pro Sol is also going
to be questionable. BP projections right now have this at
(50:23):
just about a half point line, But are we really
gonna fade Utah here at Bogman?
Speaker 4 (50:29):
I don't like this game a top twenty five Holy War.
I think this is going to be very weird BYU's
at home. They've had some magic from QB bear Bockbuyer,
but I do think This game is going to be
decided by the result of the BYU running game. BYUS
run down everyone's throat, and they will continue to try
to do that against Utah. The Utes have been weak
against the ront ahead one hundred and seventy three yards
(50:50):
to Texas Tech, two hundred and sixty one to West Virginia,
even though they dominated that game, even Wyoming ran for
one hundred and twenty one against them. I think the
Cougars can run and control the clock, but there also
are some flaws. BYU doesn't rush the quarterback well ninety
fourth and sacks seventy ninth and coverage grade. They're also
eighty fifth and penalties, and they play at the one
(51:10):
hundred and thirtieth slowest pace out of one hundred and
thirty six teams in the country. I'm starting to lean
more towards BYU here, But the fact that they play slow,
they don't rush the passer well, and they haven't faced
a single opponent anywhere close to Utah yet it makes
me just kind of fade this game as well. I mean,
they played Arizona, but it took them two overtimes to
(51:31):
beat Arizona, So I'm gonna lean towards BYU. But I
really I'm not gonna bet on this game. I'm gonna
watch it. It's gonna be a fun one. It's gonna
be a crazy environment. And the locals in Utah are
calling this the biggest Holy War game since like two
thousand and eight, So biggest game in fifteen years. I
think that's the last time both of these teams were ranked.
(51:52):
So huge game here, gonna be a lot of fun,
But I don't know which way it's gonna go, so
I'm gonna stay away from it.
Speaker 5 (51:58):
Lean towards BYU t Jr.
Speaker 1 (52:00):
You are a known utah Ut backer, so you got
a feeling on this one.
Speaker 3 (52:05):
Huh yeah, I mean come on now, see saw Issusa.
I don't know what Leprechaun has made his way to
BYU or what horshoe is stuck up? Is stuck up
the himeh yeah? And I mean the horseshoe is clear
(52:27):
up is behind. They should have lost that game last week,
if we're being honest completely, they should have lost that game.
But they pull it up. They pull it out yet
another one. Okay, I'll give it to you, But now
this is the Holy Roar. This is a Utah team
that is coming off back to back losses against b YU.
They played them last year. I played them up in
a spot where honestly, they probably had no shot and
(52:49):
I know they're looking at it like, oh man, if
we if we were better last year, we definitely would
have got that win. Now, this Utah team is a
lot better and anybody there's nothing to critique. Okay, they
got destroyed by Texas Tech. Texas Tech is really good.
They've gone out here and they're not only beating competition,
they're destroying them. What do you do to a Arizona
(53:11):
State squad that has Jeff Simms that quarterback? You beat
them forty two to ten, You give up ten points
in that seit that's what you do. They do what
they're supposed to do. Every step along the way. Texas
Tech punched them in the mouth. They parlayed that into
dropping what ninety and twenty four in the past two
games against West Virginia and Arizona State. I think they're
(53:32):
coming into this game with blood on the mine. They're
locked in. They say this true freshman Bachmeyer, and they're saying, hey,
you have never played in this Holy War before, and
you're not going to understand the heat and the pressure
that we are about to brain down on you. I
am all over the utah Utes here. Let's add this
final piece of nugget for everybody. Since twenty twenty one,
(53:54):
teams that are coming off of double overtime or more
and a win and they're a dog than nex week
five and fifteen against straight up six thirteen and one
against the spread. So you're coming off double overtime, you're
a dog. The next week, you just got this big
win and you're celebrating your party in double overtime win,
(54:15):
and you get punched in the mouth. I think that's
what's going to happen. I honestly think that this is
gonna be a little bit less of a competitive game
and more of utah imposing them, will showing that hey,
sex as Tech, we are coming for you. You may
be the best in the Big twelve right now, but
we are coming for you, and we are going to
get revenged that Big twelve title game. They are going
(54:36):
to put it on this BYU team. The chance to
knock off BYU is fifteen in the country. They're not
going to miss that. I love the utah Utes here,
get it done. Ut up.
Speaker 5 (54:45):
You know what, switch me to Utah. That was very convincing. Trell,
I'm I.
Speaker 2 (54:52):
Don't.
Speaker 5 (54:52):
I don't like this game. Why it's not that it's weird.
You know what. You know what really got me. It's
the double overtime.
Speaker 4 (54:59):
It's being worn out from last week bear Bachmeyer not
having experience. My first thought was, maybe that's good for him,
you know, to.
Speaker 5 (55:06):
Know how much pressure. Yeah, yeah, yeah, to not have
the pressure. Maybe it is. But I don't have a
good pull in this game. Either way. I like that
that trend as well.
Speaker 4 (55:14):
Even though I'm not a big trend guy about teams
coming off two over time.
Speaker 3 (55:17):
It makes sense whenever the trend makes you flip me.
Speaker 5 (55:20):
You flip me, give me Utah. I'll give you credit.
Speaker 1 (55:23):
Swing voter bogs baby love it, guys.
Speaker 2 (55:26):
Let's get out of here.
Speaker 1 (55:27):
On best bets and a quick programming note that we
have shelved the parlay episode for the rest of the season,
but we will do a group parlay with our best
bets to fill in the gap there and Trell Furman
Junior start us off with your best bets.
Speaker 2 (55:40):
For the week.
Speaker 3 (55:40):
Come on, I just talked about it. Give me the
Utests are gonna get it done. This is a great
spot to back them in the rivalry game where they're
going to look to get revenge and flick Will and
then also send a notice to the whole Big twelve
that hey, we're here, We're here to stay in sex
and second, better watch out. I like this Utah team.
I think the is going to be the shining factor here.
(56:01):
You saw laying three and a half and also second
best bet that didn't make the parlay, but of course
I got to make it a best bet. Gimme Vandy
Lance and a half here, great spot for Vandy here,
nice little bounce back. Get'll win destroy this team. LSU
was gonna quit on the season, Vandy Lance.
Speaker 1 (56:17):
In a half, Scott Bobman, your best bet for a
Week eight of the college football season is what.
Speaker 4 (56:22):
I'm gonna take. This Washington team total over twenty one
and a half. I just think that this offense is
too good. I really like the way Devin Williams has
been playing. He's getting a lot of Kyler Murray comparisons
right now. I think Jonah Coleman is one of your
better running backs in the country, and Denzel Boston.
Speaker 5 (56:40):
Might be the first wide receiver taken in this draft.
Speaker 1 (56:42):
We've an out seating Jordan Tyson would like to have
with I.
Speaker 4 (56:45):
Look, they're both great, Jordan Tyson and Denzel Boston. Denzel
Boston made an amazing catch last week. Just this whole
offense I really like right now. I don't think that
this is a top tier Michigan defense. Is still very
good Michigan defense. And they're at home. I understand that.
But I really like the way Williams is playing. He's
rolling downhill and that comeback against Maryland really showed me something.
(57:06):
So over twenty one and a half for Washington is
my bet here, my best bet.
Speaker 1 (57:11):
For me, I'm going Georgia Tech on the alt spread
plus three and a half minus one fifty six is
where you can get this. And look, Georgia Tech, they
need this game. They have to punch their ticket to
the ACC Championship, likely the only game the rest of
the way that they will be dogs on in the ACC.
Duke is currently seventy ninth in total defense, forty second
(57:31):
against the run, those well below Clemson, who Tech did
beat straight up Tech. Also, they are tied for the
eleventh in rushing offense.
Speaker 2 (57:39):
This season.
Speaker 1 (57:39):
Duke has allowed the falling rushing totals one hundred and
sixty three yards on the grounds at Elon in Week one,
also one hundred and twenty three to Illinois, who can't
really run the ball that well, one hundred and fifty
six to two lane, one hundred and seventy one to
NC State. They did bow up the last two games
pretty well, but those were against teams like Syracuse that
bottom twenty in the CUN in rushing yards per game.
(58:01):
So Tech has won this game four years in a row,
including last year with pretty similar teams, same coaches, twenty
four to fourteen BP.
Speaker 2 (58:09):
Right now we have this at a pick them.
Speaker 1 (58:10):
So I love the Yellowjackets catching any type of points here.
Speaker 2 (58:15):
I think that is a wonderful number.
Speaker 1 (58:16):
I think this will be at least a field goal game,
if not the Yellow Jackets winning outright, And then Bog's
combining our selections here we got what plus four fifty
for a parlay.
Speaker 4 (58:26):
Plus four fifty if you throw in the bonus of
Trell laying the points and taking Mandy plus nine to
fifty six.
Speaker 5 (58:33):
Okay, so not terrible.
Speaker 1 (58:35):
All right, folks, Well there you have it. That'll do it.
