for lying to Congress and obstruction of the charge of
stem from his twenty twenty testimony about the FBI's Russian investigation.
President Trump, who fired Comy in twenty seventeen, is celebrating
the indictment and hence that there will be others.

It's also about the fact that you can't let this

former federal prosecutor and Kush Kodori about this very question.

Supposed to be talking about pending criminal cases. There are
pre trial publicity problems within the jurisdiction itself. He could
taint the jury. He is not supposed to be doing it.
It's all very, very unusual. It suggests that this is
a political project, not a legal exercise. That is on

critics as part of what many say is his redemption tour.
Comy says he's innocent and ready for trial. Meanwhile, in Atlanta, Georgia,
African American officer Donnie Smith of the College Park Police
Department is in jail, charged with vehicular homicide and hit
and run. This after a month old high speed chase
on I eighty five that resulted in the car crash,

taking in the life of two, including African American Matthew Benton.
His mother, in tears, tells Atlantin News First she's hoping
that justice will be served.

I'm just so happy, Goes. I was told that it
wasn't a chase. I just don't know. I didn't I
didn't know what to think. I couldn't breathe, I couldn't eat.
I couldn't sleep. My kids they are going through and
my grandkids, all of us, we're a family, so it's
like it's very hard.

Smith drove away from the fatal collision and failed to
report the crash, and that decision has now lended him
in jail. And finally she challenged a justice system and
became a legend. Black America is mourning the loss of
Asada Shakur, who became a global symbol of black resistance.
Cuban officials confirmed she died Thursday at the age of
seventy eight from health complications. Shakkur, not to be confused

with Tupac Shakur's mother, Affini, but was his godmother, was
a leading figure in the Black Panther Party and the
Black Liberation Army. She was convicted in a controversial case
involving the death of a New Jersey State trooper. In
a rare interview seen only on NBC News, she spoke
about the case and says she was framed by racist cops.

I was shot with my arms in the air, then
shut again in the back and then left on the
ground to die.
