Cassio tells TMZ dot com that he had heard rumors
that Lanes was planning to attack him and even placed
a bounty on his head. When the two cross passed
on the prison yard, Costio thought Lanes had a weapon

in his pocket and decided to strike him first, stabbing
him fourteen times. Lane's legal team dismissed a claim, calling
the attack savage and ferocious. Costio is a lifer who
was serving multiple sentences related to murder. This is his
second assault of another inmate. Lane's attorneys are looking into
new evidence where it's said that he didn't actually shoot
