about Dylan, a twenty year old New York City high
school student arrested by ICE. Dylan was detained in a
courthouse lobby, not at school, after fleeing Venezuela and seeking asylum.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
We don't coordinate with ICE on civil enforcement.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Adams says. A judge dismissed Dyllam's deportation case and asylum request.
Shawn Didi comb sex trafficking trial in New York City

Now back to you, Doug.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
A disturbing video was spreading quickly online showing a white
San Bernardino, California police officer slamming a seventeen year old
African American teen girl to the ground, face first during
a traffic stop. Her family insists she was not the
intended target after reports of trespassing and an alliged fight
that broke out at the grocery store prompted the officer
and to pull over the dean.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
I'm the father of this young child right here, and
what my understanding is is that I don't appreciate a
male officer with a seventeen year old child.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
With two female officers.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
President to handle my child like she was a piece
of meat and slammer to the ground.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
That is a direct violation of anybody. Human rights. Officials
with the San Bernardino Police Department are standing by the
officer's story that the team refused to be handcuffed and
attempted to run during the traffic stop, which prompted the takedown.
The families now demanding that police released the bodycam video
detailing what happened. It's another somber moment for the country
as we once again witnessed another account of police brutality
(02:25):
against black Americans. The manhunt for the final two escape
piece from a New Orleans prison intensifies as US marshals
race to recapture the prisoners. For days, law enforcements scrambled
to find the remaining inmates. After a number were found
last week, three inmates were just captured. US Marshall Brian
Ferris said tips from citizens helped nab two of the men,
Leon Tate and Jermaine Donald that were found in Walker County, Texas.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
They were ultimately captured via a traffic stop with support
from our US Marshall's office in both Southern Texas and
Northern Texas, and a local law enforcement in Texas Way
were to stop their vehicle and after in both Kate
and Donald.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
With relief starting to set in, Ferris calling on the
residents to remain vigilant, urging them to keep their eyes
open as the search for the remaining escapees moves on.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
I think there is some relief, but that last two
out are very dangerous as well, so we're not going
to give a total sign of relief to all of
them are back in prison.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Investigators believe the two remaining escapees are armed and dangerous
and are urging the public to help them locate Derek
Grows and Antoine Massey, both who are said to be
the ring leaders behind the jail break. And finally, Charlotte,
North Carolina's hope of reclaiming the CIAA basketball tournament has
been squashed. The event that was once held annually, brought
in millions of dollars to the city with a thriving
(03:43):
and growing black population. Last week, officials with the Central
Collegian Athletic Association denied the Queen City's bid and decided
to keep the tournament in Baltimore, Maryland, another city with
a large black population that's beginning to see more black
businesses come to life. One of the major reasons for
the denial is that Charlotte could not commit to the
CIBA utilizing the Spectrum Center for the games. Charlotte played
(04:06):
host of the CIAA basketball tournament for fifteen years. Stay inform,
