Hey, Thanks Zambra. Mainstream media is solent on this story,
but we aren't. HIV and the Black community is rising
at alarming rates. Recently, black healthcare workers and That Sims
took to social media to warn the community about heavy
infection rates in mostly black cities like Atlanta, New Orleans,
and Jackson, Mississippi. Take a listen to her produced post
that can also be found on her YouTube channel.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
Yeah, poor Lord, help us, help us. I know God
is sending this HIV outbreak, y'all.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
I found out this morning.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
The healthcare workers are overwhelmed with all the STDs people
are coming in with. You know, HIV is like a
fifteen in the test, and sometimes it's like one to
two days. It's so overwhelming and backed up, y'all that
it's taken three to four five days to.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Get the results back.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
Y'all better listen to me statue. This year, black, bisexual,
and gay men are being hit the hardest, the highest
rate of HIV infections among all racial and gender groups,
and sisters aren't too far behind. So far this year,
black women are being diagnosed with HIV nine times more
than white women. Black health advocates are asking Black Americans

are expected to protect all citizens from harm, in Prince
George's County, Maryland, police chasers are becoming increasingly deadly, claiming
the lives of black residents caught in their path. The
latest victim is a three year old black child named
Zoe Harrison, whose life was cut short due to a
fatal car crash involving a police pursuit. Today, Zoe's Law
is being introduced, aiming to restrict police chases to suspects
(02:54):
only believed to have committed violent or dangerous crimes. The
mother of little Zoe shared her story when the act
was formally introduced.
Speaker 4 (03:02):
Many know that just a normal day that any family
feels they get up every day, they get their child
ready for the day, they go out into the world
to do what they think are going to be normal,
everyday activities. No one imagines that on that day they
might lose what is the most precious thing to them
and for a senseless reason, something that still leaves the
(03:24):
parents not understanding why and what happened. And as a
new mom, when I look at my son, I imagine
what this family is going through and imagine that that's
the last day I see them, and want to know
who's responsible and why and how can we ensure that
this doesn't happen to another family.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
The measure also establishes a pursuit Review Board to make
sure every police chase is investigated, with officers being liable
for their actions if a bystander is harmed. And finally,

men's team. He says his final show will be at
