mayor is urging residents to go as far as necessary
to protect the constitution. The next No Kings protests are
scheduled for July seventeenth. New York City's controller won't face
charges after being arrested at an immigration hearing. But first,

The popular social media app TikTok is counting down to
its newest deadline. According to the White House, the President
plans to sign an executive order this week to keep
TikTok up and running. The President spoke about his willingness
to work with TikTok earlier this year with NBC News.

Chicago's black mayor, isn't backing down against threats that President
Trump will target his city with militarized immigration enforcement. Brandon
Johnson says Chicago winns have to go as far as
necessary to protect the constitution, whether it's in the courts,
whether it's in the streets.

Organizers of the No Kings protests say the next nationwide
demonstration will take place next month. Over two thousand No
Kings protests took place across the nation on Saturday, reportedly
millions of Americans protesting President Trump's Washington military parade. Organizers

calling it one of the largest mass demonstrations in US
history and have scheduled another round four July seventeenth, that's
the five year anniversary of the death of black civil
rights activist John Lewis. New York City's controller, who's also
a mayoral candidate, won't be facing charges after he was
arrested at an immigration courthouse.

Brad Lander was taken into custody yesterday as he tried
to accompany a person out of the courtroom. That individual
was also arrested. Lander was released later in the day,
with Governor Kathy Hokel saying any charges against him had
been dropped. It's the third time Lander had gone to
federal immigration court to escort immigrants, but the first time
he was detained by ICE agents. The NAACP will not

be inviting President Trump to its annual convention. President and
CEO Derek Johnson announcing the civil rights organization's decision this week.
This will mark the first time the NAACP will not
extend an invitation to a sitting president. Johnson said his
organization is nonpartisan, but right now it's clear Donald Trump
is attacking our democracy and our civil rights. The White House,

responding to the decision by saying the organization isn't advancing
anything except hate and a vision, while the President is
focused on uniting our country. This year's convention will be
held next month in Charlotte, North Carolina. All Right, when
siblings squabble, New York's black former governor is accusing his

claims their elderly mother was tricked into forking over seven
million dollars before her death last year. According to the
explosive lawsuit, seventy one year old David Patterson claims sixty
seven year old Daniel Patterson manipulated their mother into transferring
