of the nation's oldest civil rights organizations, prepares to get
the vote out. The official portrait of America's only black
president has moved to a new place in the White House,
and traveling solo is paying off for Tracy Ellis Ross.

The NYPD's Quality of Life Division is now active across
all of Queen's after launching in April and expanding to Brooklyn.
The Bronx and Manhattan teams target illegal mopeds, abandoned vehicles, encampments,
outdoor drug use and noise complaints. And every New York
deserves to live in a neighborhood that is safe from
gun violence, has clean streets, and is free from illegal activities.

Black Mayor Eric Adams says the effort has already led
to hundreds of seizures and faster response times. President Trump
is taking control of Washington, DC's police as part of
a crime crackdown, calling today the City's Liberation Day. He's
deploying the National Guard with the military on standby, and
criticized Black Mayor Muria Bowser's efforts, claiming crime is worse
than in Baghdad in Today marks sixty years since the

Watts Ride in Los Angeles. The unrest began in nineteen
sixty five after police pulled over twenty one year old
black motorist Marquette Fry. Five days of violence left thirty
four dead, over one thousand injured, and saw fires, looting
in thousands of National Guard troops deployed. I'm Amber Payton

Thanks Amber. As a battle over redistricting continues to heat
up in Texas and other states around the country, the
NAACP is looking to engage voters in a different way.
The organization is kicking off a national town hall tour
that will travel across the country. The campaign aims to
mobilize voters and address what it calls a wave of
harmful federal policies. In AACP president Derek Johnson says the

organization's plan is a response to attacks on democracy. Johnson
cites immigration rates, budget cuts to programs impacting distant franchised communities,
and the rollback of DEE and I on the federal
level and by some corporations. New Jersey is the tour's
first stop. The event there will feature local leaders including
Newark Ros Baraka and Representative Lamonica Mecuver. The official portrait

of former President Barack Obama reportedly has been taken out
of view from thousands of White House visitors. CNN says
the network received a photo of the Obama portrait now
hanging in a corner at the top of the stairwheel
of the Grand Staircase, which is heavily restricted to the
First Family, secret Service agents, and a limited number of
White House staff. During an unveiling event back in twenty
twenty two, mister Obama spoke of the impact he hoped

the portrait would have on White House visitors.

I've always described the presidency as a relay race. You
take the baton from someone, you run your leg as
hard and as well as you can, and then you
head it off to someone else, knowing that your work
will be incomplete. The portraits hanging in the White House
chronicle the runners in that race, each of us tasked

with trying to bring the country we love closer to
its highest aspirations. When future generations walk these halls and
look up at these portraits, I hope to get a
better honest sense of who Michelle and I were, and
I hope they lead with a deeper understanding that if
we could make it here, maybe they can too. They

The portraits of former President George W. Bush and former
President George H. W. Bush have also been moved. CNN
report sources said the moves were directed by President Trump.
Well actress, entrepreneur, and adventurer Tracy Alis Ross is making
history on Roku. Traveling Solo with Tracy alis Ross is
the most watched unscripted program on the platform and has
been picked up for a second season. Ross recently shared

some tips with Today's show Savannah Guthrie for people wanting
to venture out on their own.

The first thing to do is see if you can
go to dinner by yourself or with a Tuesday night
at six o'clock when the restaurant open. If you can
do that, move to a Friday or Saturday at eight o'clock.
If you can do that, and you still feel nervous
about checking out a trip, go to some place that
you've been with other people, but go by yourself.
