black mayor of Washington, DC is reacting to President Trump's
crime actions in the nation's capital. A judge is considering

away from other issues. Democratic Black mayor Muriel Bowser spoke
out after Trump placed the DC Police under federal control

tough on crime initiative. Bowser insists her police chief is
still in charge.

the president's actions are just a reminder that DC should
be granted full statehood. Meanwhile, a federal judge in San
Francisco is considering evidence to decide whether the Trump administration

to local dollar stores for staple food items. According to
the study published in the Journal of the Academy of
Nutrition and Dietetics, researchers found that calories obtained from dollar
store items have nearly doubled, rising from three point four

percent to six and a half percent of households purchases.
It's especially the case in lower income and black and
Latino households. According to the data, what's on the shelves
at the dollar stores isn't necessarily a snapshot of what
each household plays on the table, as families are balancing
their purchases with other more nutritious items from various stores.
