Texas Democrat Jasmine Crockett took to CNN not long ago,
continuing to call out what she sees as a calculated
move by Republican lawmakers to silence the black vote. Crockett
is also accusing the GOP of redrawing maps to disproportionately
target black lawmakers.

They have already decided that the only way that they
can win because they have failed policies, is by making
sure that they can cheat their way. And while they're
cheating their way, the only way that they can do
that is while they also at the same time violate
the Constitution as well as the Voting Rights Act and
make sure that it's people of color. We're talking about
them going after Cliburn in South Carolina, Andre Carson in Indiana.

to dismantle three out of four black districts. Texas Governor
Greg Abbitt says redistricting is all about improving voter choice. Meantime,
Texas Republicans have called in state police to hunt down
Democrats who walked out to stop a redistricting scheme that
many believe is rooted in racism. And you know. Trump's
attack on black leadership took center stage yesterday while discussing

high crime in DC and other cities like New York, Chicago,
Los Angeles, and Baltimore, all led by mayors who are black. However,
stats show that crime is down in big cities. Baltimore
Mayor African American brand In Scott, who has done tremendous
work to make his city safer, shared his two cents

My city in Baltimore, we have the fewest amount of
homicides through this date on record, that's fifty years. Maybe
we are too far gone, too far gone from the
broken right wing is a zero talent policing and all
the things that did not make our cities safer for

brought together law enforcement, the legal community, the actual community

Scott's pride. He spoke not just as a mayor, but
as a black man, a strong black man, strong black
leader who knows his community. And he wore a Blackness
Today t shirt under his blazer. Love that. Scott says,
Trump is distracting Americans from bigger issues like the economy.
And you know, President Trump also called out another black

run city led by a black mayor, and that's Oakland.
But their crime rate is dropping too, to the tude
of nearly thirty percent in the first half of this year,
and black residents are feeling the change. Crime is really down.
The bipping. You don't see the bipping, the Cadillac converters,
the stolen cars. That's all down, But we do have
to do what get a hold of a handle of
