Illinois Governor JB. Pritsker held a news conference in anticipation
of ICE agents coming to Chicago.

Retired military Lieutenant General Russell Honore, who led efforts during
Hurricane Katrina, gave his take on the president's actions, and
California Republican US House members are advocating for a ban
on mid decade voting district changes amid rising congressional map disputes.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson says federal immigration agents and the
National Guard are not welcome in the city.

At a Labor Day rally in the West Loop, Johnson
delivered the message while calling for workers' rights as the
Trump administration plans in ice blitz in Chicago. Rapper Cardi
b has been cleared in a Los Angeles civil trial.
A former security guard claimed the rappers scratched her during
a twenty eighteen altercation while pregnant at the time, but
a jury took just an hour to dismiss the allegations,
and President Trump says Washington, DC is now a crime

free zone, crediting Black Mayor Murrio Bowser for working with
him to bring crime down One Truth's social He urged
other Democratic leaders, including Illinois Governor J. P. Pritzker, California
Governor Gavin Newsom, Black Marland Governor Wes Moore, and black
Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson to cooperate instead of criticizing him.

Illinois Governor J. B. Pritzker held a news conference in
anticipation of ICE agents coming to Chicago. It comes after
threats from President Trump about sending in National Guard troops
to the city to quell crime, but Pritzker says his
intel indicates ICE agents are already in the state preparing.

Speaker 5 (01:48):
Unidentifiable agents in unmarked vehicles with masks, are planning to
raid Latino communities and say they're targeting violent criminals. As
we saw in Lost angelis a very very small percentage
of the individuals they will target will be violent criminals. Instead,
you are likely to see videos of them hauling away

mothers and fathers traveling to work or picking up their
kids from school. Sometimes they will detain handcuff and haul
away children.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Roland Martin, unfiltered indicated. Chicago is just days away from
its annual celebration of Mexican Independence Day, which falls on
September sixteenth. Black retired military Lieutenant General Russell Honore, who
led efforts during Hurricane Katrina, gave his take on the
president's actions.

The hard thing to defend We've got to work on
is over the weekend there were seven killed and fifty
four shot. Fitty seven shot in Chicago this weekend. That
opens the door up for the President to say I'm
going there after crime, But what he's really going to
do is run a deportation operation.

Meanwhile, California Republican US House members are advocating for a
ban a mid decade voting district changes amid rising congressional
map disputes. Republican Congressman Kevin Kylie on the House floor
today called for a vote on his bill to prevent
mid decade redistricting.

I have introduced House Resolution for eight eight nine to
protect the congressional map drawn by California's Citizens Commission and
to preserve the map of every state until the next census.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Kylie says the measure has bipartisan support and will prevent
a chaotic redistricting war from breaking out across the country.
Texas has already implemented Republican approved maps, while California is
set for a November vote on Democratic drawn maps. Meanwhile,
Missouri's Republican governor, Mike Keiho is calling for a special
session to target the state's loan Democratic seat. And finally,
