BN News this hour, I'm Terry McCready coming up. The
Trump administration is facing a lawsuit over National Guard deployment
in DC. Nationwide student walk outs today in response to
a shooting massacre at a school in Minneapolis. The DOJ
is launching a criminal probe into a black Federal Reserve policymaker.
But first, here's BIN News Now.

of alleged abusers. Speaking on Capitol Hill, Lisa Phillips, a

the lawsuit argues Trump has run roughshod over a fundamental
tenet of American democracy that the military should not be
involved in domestic law enforcement. This comes after a federal
judge ruled earlier this week that the Trump administration's deployment
of National Guard troops in California was illegal. According to

a senior official familiar with planning, the administration is working
on an extension that could keep troops in the nation's
capital through December. Trump has also suggested he plans to
deploy the National Guard to other cities like Chicago and
New Orleans. Nationwide student walkouts are planned for today in
response to the Annunciation Catholic school shooting in Minneapolis, Minnesota,

Demand Action. The students say they're protesting gun violence and
demand action from elected officials to protect students in schools
and places of worship. A shooter opened fire on a school,

Reserve Governor Lisa Cook over alleged mortgage fraud. According to

hospital accused her of suffocating the patient and reported her
to state regulators, leading to her termination and criminal charges

that were later dropped. Joppy's lawsuit revealed years of mistreatment
and discrimination at the hospital. Despite the hospital's plan to appeal,
Joppys hoping her case will lead to change for other
black nurses. Responding to Nigeria's alarming maternal mortality crisis, local
health care efforts are helping to save lives. In twenty
twenty three, seventy five thousand women die due to pregnancy

related complications. The World Health Organization says Nigeria is the
most dangerous place in the world to give birth. The
new initiative, led by the Internal and Reproductive Healthcare Collective,
work to reach women in vulnerable communities addressing complications preemptively.
Women in Nigeria are dying every day from preventable tragedies
due to financial strain, cultural beliefs, and a widespread mistrust
