job report shows a sharp decline in hiring, with just
twenty two thousand jobs added in the month of August
and then unemployment rate of four point three percent. But

for black workers and especially black women, the damage runs deeper.
The black unemployment rate is at seven point five percent,
the highest of all racial demographics, and matches that of
black women, up from five point four percent since January.

are being let go, but if you're cutting out departments
that do that, I mean people that work in those

The numbers reflect sizeable freederal workforce cuts and reductions in
hiring and DEI rollbacks education, healthcare, and public service sectors,
all due to the Trump administration. Community activists are calling
for a reset and for Congress to fund black led
employment initiatives, which we all know most likely won't happen
under a Trump presidency. And finally, Stephen A. Smith is

making ways by naming two Democratic governors he believes their
best position to lead the party into the future. Smith
said this while being interviewed on Fox News.

I believe there Wes Moore would be an ideal candidate,
and I think jos Shapiroud to governor of Pennsylvania. I
think he's another individual like that. Those are the two
that come to my mind. Smith, who lives in New
York City.
