believe this Thanksgiving travel will shatter records. I'll get ready
for a whole lot of traffic and crowded airports. FAA
Administrator Ryan Bedford spoke at a recent news conference assuring
flyers that the skies will be friendly throughout the Thanksgiving
travel wave.

There's some weather in the forecast, but please be confident
that the folks in the towers and in the trade
cons in the and root centers. They have a great plan.
Lots of different strategies we run to manage traffic safely
and efficiently in all conditions.

TSA reports that today will be a typical business travel day,
but starting tomorrow the atmosphere changes as more than six
million people will fly domestically throughout the week, an increase
from last year. Triple A estimates eighty one point eight
million people will travel on the ground fifty miles or
more during the holiday period, but travelers should watch for
weather disruptions along the East Coast today and Midwest later

survived the nineteen twenty one Tulsa race massacre as a
young girl, passed away at the remarkable age of one

to demand accountability, reparations, and racial justice. A few years back,

she shared to the world what she felt that night
when her mother woke her up to the Today Show.

I remember the noise, guns shooting, people running and screaming,
and noise from the air like an airplane in fires,
burning and swelling smoke. And then you could hear someone
going through the neighborhood that everybody should leave town, that
they were killing all the black people. So you though
that was frightened. I hardly sleep nights, and I lost

my appetite. I only eight a few times. And they
don't ever leave your mine, not mine.

Mother Fletcher led much of her life managing white household's
common work for black women of her generation while raising
and nurturing her own family. Later, she founded of Aola
Ford Fletcher Foundation, mentoring young people and preserving the history
of Greenwood. She even testified before Congress, becoming a leading
voice in the movement for reparations. Fletcher's legacy is a
powerful reminder of a long fight for justice and healing,

and finally, after a decade of serving the district DC mayor,
African American Mural Bowser announced that she won't run in
twenty twenty six. She made the announcement on social media
and reflected on her accomplishments and hinted that it's time
for new leadership to guide the city forward. Several names
are emerging as potential candidates, including councilmen Kenyon McDuffie and
Councilwoman Jennise Lewis George, both whom are black. This coming

election will be watched closely as DC prepares for a
