Speaker 1 (00:02):
This is the Black Information Network Daily podcast, and I'm
your host, rams' Jah. And sometimes the amount of stories
that make their way to us means that we simply
can't cover everything that comes our way. But from time
to time, a story just stays with me and Bill
compelled to share it with you and give you my thoughts.
And now one more thing. All right, So you might

(00:24):
have been hearing about Donald Trump supposedly getting an airplane.
We've certainly heard about that, and we've covered it on
the Black Information Network. And even people that are like
super duper triple Trumper, you know, pro Trump media people

(00:45):
and whatever, are looking at this one like hmm okay,
that feels a little a little grifty. They're finally coming around, right.
But for people that don't really understand like the nuance
of like how is this a gift or whatever, we
thought we'd offer a little bit more. Hence one more

(01:06):
thing to give you some insights. So I'll share and
then I'll let Q jump in. But this is from
the Black Information Network. President Donald Trump says it would
be stupid not to accept the luxury jumbo jet being
donated by the Qatari government amid questions over the legality
and ethics of the administration receiving such a gift. On Monday,
May twelfth, Trump, who is set to embark on a
four day trip to the Middle East this week, confirmed

(01:29):
that he planned to accept the free plane from Qatar,
calling the donation a very fine gesture. When asked if
the country had asked for anything in exchange for ABC News, quote,
I think it's a great gesture from Qatar. I appreciate
it very much. I would never be one to turn
down that kind of offer. I mean, I could be
a stupid person and say no, we don't want a free,

(01:49):
very expensive airplane, but it was I thought it was
a great gesture. Oh, goes on to say, I think
it was a gesture because of the fact that we help,
have helped and continue to. We will continue to all
of those countries, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and others.
He continued, sorry about that. The way that man speaks

(02:11):
sometimes it doesn't really feel like this feels like typos,
but anyway, I'll continue. When questioned on how he would
respond to people who view the luxury plane as a
personal gift to him, Trump said the gesture was quote
a gift to the Department of Defense, and he doesn't
plan to use the jet after leaving office. Sources familiar
with the arrangement told ABC News that the plane, which

(02:33):
has been dubbed a Flying Palace, will be available for
use as the new Air Force one during Trump's term.
Ownership of the plane will reportedly be transferred to the
Trump Presidential Library Foundation following his time in the White House.
The arrangement has raised questions about whether it's legal for
Trump's administration or foundation to accept such a gift from
a foreign power. Press Secretary Caroline leave It said the

(02:55):
White House is working on the legal details of the donation,
and here we go, quote, the Katari government has graciously
offered to donate a plane to the Department of Defense.
The legal details of that are still being worked out,
leave It said in a statement. But of course, any
donation to this government is always done in full compliance
with the law, and we commit ourselves to the utmost

(03:16):
transparency and we'll continue to do that, all right. So
if we leave it at that, then for most people,
they're like, Okay, Donald Trump got a free airplane for
the United States. It's going to the Department of Defense.
It's going to a library after the fact. Nothing to
see here, right, But this, of course is one more thing,
so allow me to contribute one more thing. This is

(03:39):
from CNN. Trump's businesses, led by his son Eric, are
actively expanding with an eye to the Middle East during
his second term in office. While Trump wants to accept
Qatar's jet, his company is involved in the opening of
a Trump branded golf course in the country, His name
will appear on skyscrapers in Saudi Arabia, and the UAE

(04:01):
used a crypto system set up by one of Trump's
companies to make a two billion dollar deal. According to
The New York Times, Trump's first major international trip of
his second term gets underway in the Middle East this week.
One wonders whether other countries will now try to come
up with their own ways to impress the US president.
If so, the opening bid is a four hundred million
dollar airplane. All right, now, I want to go back

(04:24):
here just just to make this live and then q
It's all yours. But the UAE used a crypto system
set up by one of Trump's companies to make a
two billion dollar deal. So what that means is that
Trump and people may or may not be familiar with
trump coin and Malania coin. You know, these are cryptocurrencies

(04:47):
that were created by Donald Trump's or Donald Trump's companies
or whatever. Right, And this is a for all intents
and purposes, a tremendous loophole that that exists for the presidency.
Now you know, he can benefit directly from it, because

(05:07):
you can purchase Trump coins and use Trump coins, which
increase the value of Trump coins. Right, and Trump holding
his Trump coins. Let's say Trump owns fifty percent of
all trump coins. Right, if the UAE invests in Trump

(05:28):
coins by the amount of two billion dollars, then that
makes Trump coins a more lucrative place to park investments.
And as a result, the Trump coins themselves become more valuable,
and the shares that Donald Trump holds through directly or indirectly,
the value of those shares is increased. And so conceivably,

(05:51):
if a person was to do any sort of backdoor deals,
they could be done this way. And because there's very
little in the way of regulation, and conceivably there will
be very little in the way of regulation, it is
possible to exploit loopholes like that. Now, on the other side,
of course, we have airplanes and company or countries rather

(06:14):
where he's building golf courses and you know whatever. And
you know now that I think all these things are
coming together. This is part of the reason why a
lot of you know, the people that are that have
historically been Trump supporters, have been critical of this move

(06:36):
because Donald Trump famously ran on a campaign of you know,
this country has forgotten about the everyman, right, and you know,
he's a billionaire. He's never backed away from that. But
I think it was hard for people to see the
grift because I think they could see themselves, many people
at least could see themselves like benefiting. I want a

(06:59):
Trump Bible, I want Trump shoes. So if I pay
the money, I get some shoes. That's an exchange. I'm
willing to make that exchange. Nothing to see here, right,
but an airplane coming from a foreign country to Donald
Trump doesn't help the people of the United States, especially
because there's two Air Force ones already being built. And

(07:20):
of course, the Trump coin for most people investing in
anything is out of the question. There's no extra money
to invest in anything. So to see Donald Trump building
golf courses and taking full advantage of his position in
the White House to expand his empire and grow his
personal wealth. People are finally starting some people, I suppose,
are starting to see that and become critical of it.

(07:41):
So this is the context. This is the one more
thing I wanted to make sure that we added. Now,
I know that you have a little bit more to
color in here, so I'll let you add the rest.
But I wanted to make sure I said that.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
At least I actually don't have much more, Like, Okay,
all the color that you just added was the most
important part of the conversation. They originally frame it as
this is a gift to the Department Offense. And when
you hear Presidential Library, you think that belongs to the
United States. It's Donald Trump's.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
Presidential Library exactly.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
That he's donating his Presidential Library foundation, that he's donating
his billion dollar airplane to, that's being gifted to him
by a government that he called in twenty seventeen one
of the greatest funders of terrorism in the world. So
if we're to believe President Trump that guitar funds terrorism,
he then accepts a gift from them. And as I've
said multiple times while he was running for president and

(08:33):
after he won again, he makes not just the US,
but everywhere else on earth less safe because he's this
easy to bribe, this easy to manipulate. Pay him a compliment,
give him some money, He'll roll over and give you
whatever you want. That's a very very dangerous thing to
be true about the person who's in charge of our
nuclear codes and keeping our quote unquote borders safe as

(08:54):
he pretends to do so. Yeah, man, this is his
hypocrisy is always been loud and pronounced. It's interesting to
see some of his most fervent supporters speaking out against this,
but he never does anything that's covert. His overt hypocrisy
and bending or breaking of the rules and laws have

(09:14):
always been his way. You just never really see anybody
stand against him, especially those claiming they take bullets for him.
So it's interesting to see people kind of taking a
stand against him doing something so obvious. But it's not
going to discourage him, it's not going to stop him.
He's going to continue to be him because he now
understands from testing the waters that he can do what

(09:36):
he wants and there's nothing anybody will do about it.
It's not that there's nothing people can do, but they
just won't.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
Yeah, Yeah, and I mean, there's not a whole lot
else to add here, but you know, I think your
point is well made. The Supreme Court really set him
up to do whatever he wants to do. You know,
I was reading when I was kind of researching this
piece that you know, there have been historically there are

(10:04):
gifts given to presidents as they travel to other countries,
and they were talking about gifts of like lions and
horses and you know, things from like the eighteen hundreds,
you know, and the president would come back and lay
the gifts before Congress and say, what should we do
with these? These We're a gift to me, and as
a result, they were a gift to America, So what

(10:24):
should we do with these? And then the horses would
go to you know, the military or the you know,
the lions would go to a zoo, and the pearls
would go to the museum or SMITHSONI or something like that.
But but the difference is those were all presidents. The
Supreme Court effectively made Donald Trump king. So a four
hundred million dollar airplane that he can give to his

(10:45):
own presidential library at the end of his term and
then continue to use after the fact is effectively an
airplane for Donald Trump. The American people will not fly
on that plane, you know what I mean. So, you know,
if Trump is bringing his golf courses over there and
getting those people to invest, and his currency and you know,
providing whatever sort of backdoor favors, you know, this is
this is just what we know about. You know, the

(11:07):
stuff that we don't know about is the scary part.
Then you know it's it's you know, we're doing our job.
It's important to keep people informed, and you know that's
what we do here. So with that in mind, we're
