Speaker 1 (00:00):
Bite sharp hands.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
How many of you you know a black man who
has expressed to you that they're committed to voting for
Donald's time.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
The question posed to about five black men, and every
one of them raised their hands for the brothers.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Who have told you that what said that to you.
Has the emergence of Kamala Harris changed that for those debts.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
The answer no. These black men ranging in age talking
to MSNBC are part of the statistics we've been hearing
about the number of black men, even with the black
woman at the top of the Democratic ticket still doubling
down on Trump.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
Honestly, when president chalking about office is the closest thing
to the American dream that we had.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Anthony Montgomery is one of them, and we met him
in black Land, and now as a brown person, you
just feels so invisible where we're from. Brothers and sisters.
I welcome you to this joyful day we celebrate freedom.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
Where we are, I know someone's heard something.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
And where we're going. We the people means all the people.

Speaker 4 (01:10):
The Black Information Network presents Blackland with your host Vanessa Tyler.

Speaker 5 (01:16):
I have been the best president for the black population
since Abraham Lincoln.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
Many black people cringe at that statement, but there are
those who wholeheartedly agree.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
I'll get a Trump twenty four.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
Take America bat Trump twenty four, take America back.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
Okay, what you're hearing is the hustle and why Anthony
Montgomery so believes in Donald Trump.

Speaker 5 (01:41):
You guys have any extra largest in the black I'll
be back shirts.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
When I was assigned to cover the Republican National Convention
in Milwaukee recently for the Black Information Network, I met Anthony,
a black young He's just twenty six, die hard Trump supporter,
and so you're at every Trump rally.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
I'm not there. My team is definitely there. You would
definitely see three six five campaign there.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Yes, So, as Trump accepted the Republican nomination.

Speaker 5 (02:07):
As Americans, we're bound together by a single fate and
a shared destiny. We rise together or we fall apart.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
I am running to be.

Speaker 5 (02:20):
President for all of America, not half of America.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Because there is no victory in winning for half of America.
So tonight, with faith and devotion, I proudly accept your
nomination for President of the United States.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Anthony Montgomery was accepting too, accepting MasterCard visa and of
course cold heart cash. See, Anthony never misses a Trump rally,
and he certainly wasn't going to miss the RNC convention
because this black gen z or is making a killing
selling Mega gear. His retail display is huge and he
has a staff of bustling workers.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
So I have a.

Speaker 6 (03:07):
Seventy six.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
I became a Trump supporters. So first I started off
with President Obama. I was proud that my president was black.
I'm a young black man, so and now I love
to see accomplishment this for African American men.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Generations of Americans have responded with a simple creed that
sums up the spirit of a people. Yes we can, Yes.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
We take.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Yes weet day.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
But uh then President Trump had a speech and he said,
you know, to the black community, what do you have
to lose when you know voting for me?

Speaker 5 (03:46):
Look how much African American communities have suffered under democratic control.

Speaker 6 (03:54):
To those, I say the following, what do you have
to lose by trying something new like Trump? What do
you have to love?

Speaker 4 (04:08):
That's why I mean and my family we took We
took the chance, and we never looked back.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
So he and his family loaded up on the Trump gear.
His parents even met Trump and he probably repeats the
talking points.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
Honestly, where President Trump My office is the closest thing
to the American dream that we have. You know, we're
trying to we try and keep that. We want to
make America safe again. Of course, make America great again.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
Oh it's not been easy, he tells me, as people
around us grab for t shirts, hats, buttons, any and everything.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
Trump our first chaotic rally was in Tosa, Oklahoma, and
the Black Lives Matter protesters came by. They said our
table was on fire. They flipped our tables and stuff in.
It made me realize pretty much like you know, I
thought black lives matter, but it doesn't matter. It matters
what unless you like President Trump.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
And this young black businessman says the name calling.

Speaker 4 (05:00):
I get called a corn I get called all kinds
of things just because of my us and out of
President Trump. At the end of the day, I mean,
they can say what they want, So I'm gonna still
do what I want to do because I think for myself.
And you know, that's the great thing about America. This
is a family business right here. You won't see another
three six five campaign if it's Thesey Spile campaign. Most
likely I'm there. You might see my mom or my dad,

(05:22):
sometimes my siblings. We don't franchise out strictly family, strictly family.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
He has the goods T shirts one for thirty, two
for fifty, and hot off the press T shirts with
Trump's bloody face from the assassination attempt. Those go for
fifty dollars apiece. But it is this for real. Let
Team Trump tell it. They have dug into the Democrats
and siphoned off many more Black votes than the last time.

(05:49):
But South Carolina Congressman James Clyburn says, don't believe the hype.
The highly respected black lawmaker says, black people, certainly, the
women and the black men are not ever going to
pull the lever for Donald Trump in the numbers a
few polls may show.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
I don't think that's true at all. The fact of
the matter is, I don't believe for one moment that
don't forget fifteen percent of the African American vote that's
not going to have I know what it is that
it was thirteen percent they said before I questioned that
number as well. I don't think for one moment that

(06:27):
her entrance into the race did not change anything with
black people. I don't know who those four people were.
I could not see them, but I would hope that
they do not reflect what's going on in this country.
I know this, they do not reflect the black people
that I talk to. And I'm in am Me African

(06:48):
Methods Episcopal. I'm a thirty third Degreek Prince all mission.
I'm a member of the Divine Nine, and I interact with
all of these people and I do not see fifteen
percent among them voting for Donald Trump. And every one
of them have been energized by the infants of Tamala
Harris in this race.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
Still, as Anthony Montgomery slips another credit card through his
credit card reader, he is one black vote Trump will get.
Is it the money? After all, he's selling Trump gear.
I think there was even a pair of gold sneakers
on display.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
If I come out here, I don't sell a dom.
I was just out here just for the American people.
It doesn't matter. I'm a long here spreading the word
making America grady me and that's the end goal overall.
Get President Trump back in office. I cannot sell another
shirt today just as long as he's in office. So
it's two from the T shirts that have a flag right,
so boom, those are right there, fifty and then hat
in the flag off the fifty. Well, so you had

(07:45):
a humble black Lighters.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Yeah, yeah, that's good.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
I let him get back to work, to the clamoring crowd,
to the people who, no matter what, will cast their
vote for Trump.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Hey, if I have any questions, me some outing the guys.
