Doug Krisner. President Trump is extending a tear of truce
with China for another ninety days. This was set to
expire on Tuesday. The President signed in order for the
extension on Monday. Here is Illinois Democratic Congressman Rajah Krista
Muthee speaking on Bloomberg.

Well, I think it's yet another extension that causes more
uncertainty about what's going to happen going forward. It hurts
our small businesses. I've talked to businesses on the phone
repeatedly who are pausing their hiring, pausing their investment, and
basically starting to lay people off because they don't know

what the future holds.

ease duties and export restrictions on key goods like rare
earth magnets, and the extension could clear the way for
further cooperation on chip exports and AI hardware sales. Although
national security issues do remain. President Trump has tapped E. J.

Antony to lead the Bureau of Labor statistics. Now, Antony
is the chief economist at the Heritage Foundation. He's been
a longtime critic of the BLS, especially when it comes
to the BLS's approach to jobs data. Here is Bloomberg's
Derek Waldbank.

This situation here is one that has boiled over, and
Antony will be under an exorbitant amount of pressure to
prove to lawmakers and to prove to economists and to
market participants that the BLS numbers are accurate. They were accurate,

and they will be accurate.

Trump did fire the BLS commissioner. Following the release of
a weak jobs report. President Trump announced he will take
federal control of Washington, d C's police department. The president
also said he is deploying eight hundred National Guard troops
in the district, escalating his push to exert power over

the nation's capital. DC Mayor Muriel Bowser says Trump's takeover
of the police department is unsettling and unprecedented.

My message to residents is this, we know that access
to our democracy is tenuous. That is why you have
heard me and many many Washingtonians before me advocate for
full statehood for the District of Columbia. We are American citizens,

our families go to war, we pay taxes, and we
uphold the responsibilities of citizenship.

That was Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser speaking there. Meantime,
President Trump threatened to insert federal personnel into other cities,
including New York and Chicago, if they did not crack
down on what he called out of controlled crime. Now,
per Monday's order, Drug Enforcement Administration Chief Terry Cole will
serve as acting chief of DC's Metropolitan Police. We go

to Texas next, where a gunman opened fire in a
target store parking lot in Austin. Authorities say at least
three people have been killed. The suspect then fled the
scene in a stolen car, wreck that car and stole
another from a dealership. The suspect was then taken into
custody by police after being subdued by a taser. Here
he is Austin Police Chief Lisa Davis.

We have a male, white suspect who appears to be
thirty two years of age, does have a mental health history.

US broadcast rights to all Ultimate Fighting Championship events. This
seven year deal is worth seven point seven billion dollars. Now,
starting in twenty twenty five, UFC fights will stream on
Paramount Plus and air on CBS. This marks a major

shift away from the UFC's pay per view model under ESPN.
It also marks one of the first deals minted since
Guidance acquired control of Paramount last week. David Joyce's senior

buckets of these controlling shareholders, they can take a longer
term perspective and go in bigger to applying the technological
strategies to kind of reinvent what it means to be
