We've been dealing with an atmospheric river event. That's where
lots of moisture comes out of the tropical Pacific and
into the Western United States. It's been an issue for
much of the winter. First, earlier in the winter, it
was in the Pacific Northwest. Now the attention is shift
across California. Six counties in southern California are under a
state of emergency, including the city of Los Angeles and
San Diego because of all of the heavy rain that

fell yesterday. The problem overnight has been in the San
Francisco area. They've had very strong thunderstorms move through that
has caused more damage. There'll be additional rainfall over the
Western United States due to this atmospheric river pumping lots
of Pacific moisture into California looks like the mountains in
the Central Sierra and also the Central Valley. We'll be
seeing some rain, strong thunderstorms and high elevation snows today.

The storm has for some evacuations, road closures, flooded freeways,
and flight delays, with a floodwatch extended for most of
southern California. Nvidia has agreed to a licensing deal with
