Speaker 1 (00:00):
News when you want it with Bloomberg News Now, I'm
mad Kleggy. The Ontario government plans to stop running the
anti tariff advertisement that irked President Trump. Ontario Premier Doug
Ford said in a post on x that the government
funded ad, which featured excerpts of President Ronald Reagan criticizing tariffs,
will stop appearing after Frauday and Saturday's World Series Games.

(00:22):
Following Trump's criticism of it, Ford said that following a
conversation with Prime Minister Mark Karney, he'd pause the ad
starting Monday so that trade talks can resume. The Pentagons
that it received an anonymous one hundred and thirty million
dollars donation to pay the military during the US government shutdown,
a move of the administration might not legally be able
to carry out. Chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said, Freddy

(00:45):
in a statement that the donation was made on the
condition that it be used to offset the cost of
service members salaries and benefits. The donation if used as
the latest in a series of legally questionable federal budget
maneuvers that has allowed President Trump to seize greater control
of government functions amid the shutdown, which has stretched into
its fourth week. Wall Street saw a relief rally as

and initial jump in treasuries waned after manufacturing and service
surveys underscored economic resilience. The slowest pace in three months

(01:28):
for underlying inflation was welcomed by traders who've been flying
almost blind amid the dearth of data since the start
of the government shutdown. The September Core consumer Price Index
increased point two percent from August. On an annual basis,
it rose three percent. House Democratic Leader Hakim Jeffrey's comments
and on today's inflation.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Report inflation of three percent confirmed that Donald Trump and
Republican policies are making life too expensive and now, because
of the Republican refusal to extend the Affordable Care Act,
tax credits of millions of Americans are receiving notices right
now that the healthcare premiums are about to skyrocket.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Minority leader. Jefferies also commented on efforts in democratic run
states to redefine congressional districts after Texas and other Republican
states did so.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Donald Trump is trying to rig the midterm elections by
jerrymandering congressional maps all across the country. Why are they
engaging in unprecedented efforts to jerrymann the congressional maps because
Mike Johnson knows the house is gone when the American
people are ready to throw them out of office.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
President Trump's administration sanctioned Columbia's president and members of his
inner circle for alleged drug trafficking, intensifying the clash between
the two countries. The measurers announced Friday, but the Treasury
Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control target President Gustafo Petro,
his wife, one of his sons, and his interior minister
and former campaign chief Armando Benedetti. All four were added

not yet provided evidence that Petro is a drug trafficker.
Trump has called Petro and a legal drug leader, accusing
him of allowing narcotics trafficking to flourish. The US is

Trump administration's military operation in the region has killed forty
three people in ten strikes on small boats that officials
alleged were carrying narcotics. Bloomberg News has learned that Trump
administration is preparing a proposal to open nearly all US
coastal warders for oil drilling. Bloomberg's Amy Morris has details
from Washington.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
Documents detailing the expansive Interior Department proposal were reviewed by
Bloomberg News. It is not clear that the drafted plans
have been presented to the President yet for his approval.
They could change before they are published. The draft plan
for selling oil leases includes waters near the southeast US
despite opposition from state governors, and even after the president

(04:20):
had tried to close off those areas from drilling in
his first term in Washington. Amy Moore as Bloomberg Radio.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
The Friday numbers on Wall Street. The Dow was up
four seventy two, closing for the first time over forty
seven thousand. NASDAC added two sixty three. The SNP gained
fifty three. The ten year treasury yield at an even
