TikTok has restored service in the US after a brief
outage earlier. This move comes after President elect Trump said
he plans to extend the deadline for the app to
comply with US law. You might recall last Friday, the
Supreme Court unanimously upheld the law. It requires TikTok's Chinese

parent to sell the app and its US operations by today. However,
Trump said he's going to give TikTok owners three months
to find a buyer, and he's aiming to facilitate a
joint venture with new US based owners purchasing fifty percent
of TikTok. Here is Trump, speaking earlier at a rally
in Washington, DC.

We need to save TikTok because we're talking about a
tremendous who in this audience goes with TikTok.

Arena in Washington Now some lawmakers are saying fifty percent
US ownership would violate the law, and they say full
divestiture from the Chinese Communist Party is necessary. And you

Musk said that TESLA is willing to deepen investment in China.
We go to Gaza next, where three female Israeli hostages
have been freed as the ceasefire between Israel and Tomas

takes effect after fifteen months of war, and now the
Associated Press is reporting Israel has freed ninety Palestinian prisoners
and detainees. President Biden spoke earlier with reporters.

Today's ceasefire and Gaza and the release of hostages is
a result of a principle and effective policy that we
preside over for months, and we got here without a
wider war in the Middle East than many predicted, and
now falls the next administration to help him implement this deal.

Snow is falling across much of the Northeast Bloomberg's Charlie
Pellett is watching snow removal efforts in the Forest Hills
neighborhood of Queens, New York.
