Hello everybody, Sean Brace and JJ with you right from
the jump, and this is Brace for Winnings, the podcast

lot to discuss on this episode. It's been a fun
ride so far, sir, But what do you say we
close off this season with a winning wager? That's what
it's all about, my friend. Yeah, one last game, and
didn't think the year we would do this podcast as
is a year the Eagles will be in the Super Bowl.
So how about timing for that one? Yes? Tremendous, So

let's get after it. First of all, we are going
almost like they did it just for us, just for you,
just for you and I. We'll get into exactly how
we believe this game will play out right here, right now,
but we're gonna open up with some Super Bowl nuggets
to get the mind going if you don't mind. First
of all, in a game where it really seems like
opinions are split JJ right down the middle, who will

be victorious on Super Bowl Sunday. It should really come
as no surprise because right now the number has been
holding steady at one and a half for basically the
last week or so. Here on Draftkicking Sports Book, Eagles
want to have point favorites fifty one, though we're now
ticking up on the total as we're recording this here
live for you on Thursday morning, fifty one is your

total money line, still holding steady at one for the
Birds minus and plus one oh five for the Cancer
to the Chiefs. So it should come as no surprise
that a lot of people are split down the middle
when you start asking who is going to win it
on Sunday. We've never had a Super Bowl go off
at a pick. We're about as close as you could
get to that right now, not suff we'll see any
(02:14):
movement as far as the spread is concerned, but I
won't be surprised if comes Sunday at kickoff at six
six pm we see this total tick up another number.
I won't be surprised that this gets to fifty one
and a half or fifty two. Yeah, when't surprise if
that continues to go up because these are the two
top to offenses. They both scored five forty six points
this season, which is tied for best in the league.
(02:34):
They are the two best offenses, and the Eagles defense
is very good, and I'm sure they're going to have
a solid performance in this game. I don't think they're
going to be that bad. But it's still Patrick Mahomes
on the end of the end of that and Andy
Reid's incredible play callings. So these are two great offenses,
and we also expected this game to be close, or
at least I do you know, there's reasons I think
for both sides here, for Kansas City and the Eagles.

So we'll obviously leave the picks to the end of this,
but none of that surprises me. I I would get
in as early as he kN on that total. Sean,
I think that's going to continue to go up. It's
it's creeping up slowly, but obviously as we get closer
towards the game and more bets because also there are
a lot more places to bet, and you can bet
on the state that the Super Bowl is in. Uh. Yeah,
(03:16):
I think this number is gonna move up pretty drastically.
I had to say drastically, but compared to the slowly
inching forward we've seen, I think it could end up
being maybe another half a point, maybe another point. Yep. Yeah,
we'll see how that one plays out on Sunday. And
as your point was, as far as the point scored
for these two teams five six across the board, uh,
(03:36):
talk about evenly matched. You're both finished with sixteen and
three overall records. Isn't that incredible just to say that
we did. We have two of the best teams here,
six six all pros on both sides, one has a
Kelsey brother um and both teams were number one seeds.
It's pretty cool to see that evenly matched. But I
still feel like there's one better team, uh, in the
(03:56):
totality of a roster. So again, we'll get into that
game breakdown just a second staying with the Nugs though
here uh. Through fifty Super Bowls, favorites and underdogs are
an even twenty seven, twenty seven and two, and the
Super Bowl. Recently, though dogs have done better. They are
eight and seven outright and ten of five a t
s in the past fifteen Super Bowls. There's a little

something for you as far as history is concerned, not
so much a trend of substance. We'll get into those
in just a second. The Chiefs were plus six fifty
to win the Super Bowl on DraftKings sports book preseason.
That was when the odds were first released last February.
They felt to eleven and one entering this season, name
which I got some of that action, the longest odds
(04:38):
they were at any point this season. When the regular
season season ended this year, the Chiefs were plus three
forty favorites, the Eagles on the flip side forty to
one when the odds opened up on DraftKings sports Book.
Some spots even had had them as high as fifty
to one prior to the Eagles landing a J. Brown,
and then once that happened, numbers started coming down. Twenty

five the one is essentially where it was when the
season started. That would make the Philadelphi Eagles the biggest
preseason long shot to win the Super Bowl since the
only other time the Eagles won the Super Bowl they
were forty two one preseason. So we'll see if that's
how it plays out on Sunday, Eagles come out on top.
As far as a t S staying with some of
those trending, Eagles have been that big of a long

shot compared to that year. You know, it's a good
questions the I mean, the Eagles were good in seventeen.
Obviously they won the Super Bowl, but I think there
were some things that really caught us by surprise. The
only thing that caught us by surprise this year was
Jalen Hurts being an m v P. Other than that,
A J. Brown, we knew it was good. Smith is good,
and everybody on offense, and of course the defense is loaded.
(05:42):
I'm surprised that it was such a long shot. Yeah,
chief I guess it isn't hindsight though Chiefs are eight
and eleven a t S this season. They are the
six team to reach the Super Bowl with a losing
a t S record. Four of the previous five lost
the Super Bowl Chiefs also had the highest average over
under in the NFL this season at forty nine point eight.
(06:04):
Unders were eleven and eight in Chiefs games compared to
overs going ten and nine in the Eagles games. Now,
something I want to point out as far as the
total is concerned, Uh, this number continues to climb up.
We just pointed that out fifty one right now on
Drafticking sports book. There were eleven games. This will be
the twelfth game that the Kansas City Chiefs will play
in this season with the total of fifty or more.

So they played in eleven and there are three and
eight to the under with totals over fifty this season.
Makes you think a little bit there. I like the under.
I'm gonna get into why I believe that this will
be the case. It's one of my more passionate plays
on Super Bowl Sunday. Not the more fun play, let's
put it that way. Uh. You know, at the end,
(06:46):
I just want to win. But ultimately it's no fun
taken and under in the Super Bowl. However, that's been
the case for the past couple of seasons. I believe
the last four years we have had unders in the
Super Bowl. So let's get into it, though, j J.
As far as these trends, anything that is kept in
your ear, let's put it that way. Not too much
catching my ear, although it makes me worry a bit
(07:09):
about the over, and I guess I should be worried
about trying to bet this over. I got it a
fifty and a half. Fifty one is fine with me too.
I would take the over on that. Again. I think
it speaks for itself, the numbers that these offenses have
put up throughout the season and the Eagles defense. It's good,
and there's nothing wrong with the Eagles defense, but they
have given up some plays in the passing game before,
(07:31):
and they can give up some easy plays. And the
last time they went up against a very good passing offense,
Dad Prescott had over three d passing yards. The thing
is he also had two interceptions to go with his
three touchdowns, which when we get to the props you'll
see that. I might be on that as well for
Patrick Mahomes. But I I truly think this is going
to be a high scoring game and we're gonna get
(07:53):
every bit of the top offenses in the NFL going
at it. The Eagles are the number one pass past defense.
But they're not the number one pass or rush defense overall.
So I think there are some ways Kansas City can
run on the Eagles. I think there are some ways
they will be able to pass on the Eagles. Considering
the Eagles have not gone up against good passing offenses,
and when they have they failed. I just think there
(08:15):
is room here for Kansas City, who is such a
good offense, to put some points on the board. All right,
further Ado, let's get into it. Our official game plays
for Super Bowl fifty seven. Prediction time super Bowl fifty
seven is here, all right, j J. Let's do it.
(08:37):
Here we go. Time to find a winning play in
the game super Bowl fifty seven, Philadelphia Eagles against the
Chiefs once again. Draft Kings Sports Book wait a half
in favor of the Philadelphia Eagles total. I will go first.
Here's where I stand. To me, I think the Philadelphia
Eagles will be looked back upon as from a few
(09:02):
people out there. I think there's a lot of bull
in the Philadelphi media. A lot of people, of course,
are fans of the fiddle of Eagles that would say,
aren't gonna be saying is But there's gonna be a
lot of people that look back at this game going wow,
I misread that one. The Philadelphi Eagles are a special
team and they have shown showed us that throughout the
course of this year. But for some reason now that
(09:23):
Patrick Mahomes, I get it. It's the first time he's
ever been an underdog in a playoff game. Now everybody
wants to believe that Patrick Mahomes is going to be
the magic man on the other side. And this special
team that has shown us what they're capable of all
season long, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
For some reason, people are now reading the wrong way.
(09:45):
And that's fine. Again, I get why this is so
split down the middle. It's a it's a small spread,
short spread at a point and a half. These teams
are evenly matched as far as numbers are concerned, metrics
are concerned, and of course Patrick Mahomes is an underdog
has to be appealing, right like boom, you hear the
dollar signed ching Churching, Churching. Uh. But that's not where
(10:05):
I stand. To me, this Eagles defense is so good
in the trenches and that's where this game will be won.
It's the ultimate cliche. It starts up front. In the NFL,
and it's the truth, especially when you have the units
that the Philadelphia Eagles are possessing at this point in time.
I'll start with the offensive line. What they did to
(10:25):
the San Francisco San Francisco forty Nars was not a fluke.
What we saw, led by Jason Kelsey and of course
Lane Johnson who's dealing with an injury, join them, alatta,
all across the board, all five of them on that
offensive line was tremendous. Not a fluke by no means.
So for me, it starts up front on the offensive
side of the ball, I believe, And again we don't
(10:48):
know how it's gonna play off from the defensive side
of the ball. As far as Kansas City Steve spec
no how he's going to approach trying to slow down
Jalen Hurts. Will he spy them. It's a big deal
if he wants to go ahead and do that. You
heard it. We were talking to Jarry Evans, future Hall
of Famer, he's been on this podcast before. We did
a show with him, an Eagles Roundtable a little earlier
this week, and he discussed the advantages and the disadvantages
(11:10):
to running a spy. And of course it doesn't take
somebody that's an ex and expert if you're going to
single out one player and his soul uh purpose on
the field is to follow Jeale and Hurts. It opens
things up in the past game and if the running
back can get to that second level, watch out. And
these these guys on the offensive line for the photel
(11:31):
of Eagles are getting to that second level. It is
amazing to watch breakdown and see how athletic Jason Kelsey is,
Jordan Mulatta, Lane Johnson and company. These guys are doing
it to the best of the best. The defensive Player
of the Year was put on his back multiple times.
That's just not something that happens out of nowhere. No,
(11:52):
the great coaching leadership and ultimately skills this offensive line
is no joke. So for me, I feel like Nick Sirianni,
depending on what's going to happen on a defer decided
the ball for the Chiefs and now they're gonna approach it.
But he's gonna try and get that that passing game going,
and if it's not, they're just like the forty Niners game.
The bread and butter is running the football. So offensively,
(12:15):
I feel like the Eagles are gonna have their way
running the football. Jeale and Hurts is gonna have a
big game, maybe over sixty seventy five yards. For same
game parlay people out there, I'd be comfortable and taking
that number. Of course, any time touchdown. We were looking
at possibly to two touchdowns for Jail and Hurts to
shoot in this game. He's gonna put it on his
back spotlight shining the brightest. He knows what it does
(12:37):
for his legacy in this game. So I fully expect
the offense to be clicking on all cylinders, running the football,
passing attack. I'm not so sure that that's going to
be it, And I don't know if a matter of
effect of of Jail and Hurts dealing with the shoulder
injury or they won't need to do it. I just
don't think that they're going to need to throw the
football that much. So for same game parlay possibilities, I'm
(13:00):
looking at heavy on the running backs, heavy on Jailan
Hurt's running the football, and with that, of course, comes
chewing up the clock. And that's why I'm passionate about
the under here. I think the Eagles control the line
of scrimmage, run to football with success all four quarters.
Maybe start out slow, start out sluggish, light shining the brightest.
(13:20):
It's Super Bowl Sunday, baby. So for me, I think
the Eagles offense running the football. That is where the
bread and butter is for this Birds team, and it
will continue to do so on Sunday quickly. On the
defensive side, for the philip Eagles, it's not gonna be
easy going up against Patrick Mahomes, but we know that
they can get after the quarterback, sack the quarterback by
rushing for and if they can do that with success,
(13:43):
easier said than done. Right, you're on the podcast. I
get it. It's gonna be a long day from Homes.
I expect the Homes to have somewhat success. But here
is where my mind goes as far as Kansas City
on offense, then, but don't break. I don't think the
Eagles give up touchdowns. I think they really hold it
down in the red zone. Andy Reid takes his field goals.
(14:05):
He's not a guy who likes to roll the dice.
He'll settle for three in the first half, and therefore,
I don't think we get to the number of fifty one,
like the under, like the Eagles, like the offensive line
to shine. I think Jalen Hurts has a big game.
And of course we'll get into the props a little
bit later about the running backs and so on and
so forth. But I'm going twenty seven nineteen Philadelphia Eagles
(14:27):
win Super fifty seven. Yeah. Of course I do like
the over, so I like both offenses, and I think
they both do very well. But I'm going with the
Eagles here and the small margins. We talked about a lot.
It's a lot of things we talk about in betting
in general the NFL, but this game, I think we
can give advantage to Eagles in turnovers and also things
like coaching decisions. Andy Reid does not make many coaching
(14:51):
decisions are very good ones, and I think you pointed
that out right there. Andy Reid's conservative. He's not aggressive.
You would think somebody that has Patrick Mahomes as their quarterback,
they would be aggressive on third day, on fourth down,
they'd be aggress see trying for two point conversions. They
don't do that. Nick Sirianni does, though Nick Sirianni has
done that for the Eagles all season long, going on
fourth and short, and those drives the Eagles usually finish
(15:14):
off well too, So I think you're right. The Chiefs
are probably I think they're gonna score, and I think
they're gonna have no problem moving the ball on offense.
But it's that small margin of do they end up
going for it on fourth down? And if they settle
for field goals, that's not going to be enough to
beat the Eagles. Who I think you're right. The physicality
of the offensive line, it was a big problem two
(15:34):
years ago against Tampa Bay. Now, of course, new game,
new teams, new players, I get it. Still, the d
n A of this Chief's team is just about the
same and they really struggled with physicality against Tampa Bay
two years ago, and I still think that they have
this season. The physicality up front for the Eagles, and
also a J Brown Dallas Cotter. Those two guys aren't
(15:56):
easy to bring down. Jalen Hurts isn't easy to bring down.
Miles Sanders isn't easy to bring down. This is going
to be a very tough game physically, and I think
they are going to wear down as the game goes on.
So I like the Eagles offense to continue to score,
not stop scoring, and the Chiefs just one slip up,
just a couple of slip ups that could end up
winning the game for the Eagles. And I think because
(16:16):
Patrick Mahomes has to take chances, has to be able
to throw into this secondary and do it with pressure
in his face, which he's all good at that stuff,
but when he's gonna drop back more than forty times,
close to fifty times, I think, and he has to
throw into places that you wouldn't necessarily want quarterbacks to
throw into, just because he inherently has to to win
(16:37):
this game. I think that's going to lead to a
turnover maybe two as well. So I think the Eagles
win there. They went on fourth down, they win in
the turnover deferential, and I think that ultimately wins them
the game. How about that? Did you give me a
final score? Uh, that's going over. So that's over. It's
(16:58):
just I think it could go a little bit higher.
I don't know. I'm concerned. I think the only thing
I could certain of is the Kansas City side and
again field goals, because twenty seven would assume that a
field goal or two in there. Yeah, Well, if they
get the twenty seven, that's gonna be a great game.
First of all, d K has a lot to offer.
There are plenty of prop bets and a lot of
(17:20):
other wages that you can make. I know, plus twenty
five for both teams is a nice little pay day
as well. So, uh, if you believe that thirty is
gonna be final score, please get a little piece of
that action, um, because that's a nice little paid day there.
I'm a big time thirty plus thirty points. I'll sprinkle
from time to time. I don't think, I honestly don't
think we see a team get the thirty points that
(17:41):
really don't you don't think. I think this game slows
down and defenses start to shine a little bit more,
and and um, you know, like I said, just the
bright lights. It's Super Bowl Sunday, and it's gonna take
a little bit of time to get acclimated. And as
far as the Eagles are concerned, Jail and I thought
opened up the game against the forty nine is feeling
(18:03):
a little jitter re um, you know, missing some throws.
And again we don't know if that shoulders just yet.
I believe it is. If he's if he needs to
throw thirty five times in the game on Sunday. I
believe Jalen hurts ken, but you know, the slightest as
far as pain is concerned, or injury or anything along
(18:23):
those lines. Next to you know, the ball is thrown
off mark and we saw what Rogers the season dealing
with the thumb injury. Ball was sailing on him through
a couple of interceptions. Jalen hurts, we haven't seen him
have to throw the football since he's returned from that injury,
and partly because of the success on the offense, partly
because they continue to win these football games and they're
blowing them out. So this might be the first challenge.
(18:45):
We're about to learn a lot on Sunday. But I
fully do expect the success to begin up from for
the Eagles with that offensive line. This team is too
good in both of those departments to lose this game.
Birds minus money line, let's go Super Bowl Prop winners

You start. So I'm going all in on Patch Mahomes
props because if there's one thing I can surprise, surprise,
but it's not all good and all have to be good.
There is one that you would consider good, but it
doesn't have to be. I just I know Patrick Mahomes
going to be used a lot, and I think the
Eagles are going to score and push Kansas City to
pass a lot. Andy Reid, we know, loves to abandon
(20:19):
the run in these situations, and the Chiefs running game
isn't that good to begin with. Patrick Mahomes is going
to throw a lot in this game. So I'm going
over thirty eight and a half. Now that is juice
s up a lot on Draft Kings Sports Book minus
one forty five, so is the past completions. I'm going
minus one thirty five for the over twenty five and
a half. I still think it's worth the risk for
these juice up numbers because Patrick Mahomes is gonna fly
(20:42):
over these. If there's one thing the Eagles do give
up its completions, they are outside the top ten and
completion percentage allowed. We know that they've given Andy Dalton
thirteen straight completions before and Dak Prescott flew over this
number and his completion percentage was really good against the
Eagles secondary. I forgot Dak Prescott a lot because he
was the last good quarterback. I think the Eagle's really
faced and the last good passing out offense, and the
(21:04):
Cowboys had success. But along with the success that Dak
Prescott had Sean Brace he also through two interceptions that game.
So give me the over and this is the one
I like the most over on Patrick Mahomes to throw
an interception that is minus one oh five, and I'll
give you a bonus one too. This is going into
the square predict but because of the way I think
(21:25):
Kansas City is going to be and I think that
Andy Reid is going to call this game, I'm taking
the Chiefs total points band of thirty points. I think
they fall somewhere within that that is at plus one
forty mon Draft Kings Sports Interesting. I don't mind that
play whatsoever. I got a little something for you as
far as in that ballpark, like that talking bands here,
(21:48):
I'll give you my four player props. And we went
to it in the NFC Championship game and unfortunately we
just missed out. But we're going right back to it.
And ultimately I believe it's the ebbs and flows of
the season. Him who the Eagles were in Week one
versus the Detroit Lions is not who they are right now,
(22:08):
and the same could be said about the Kansas City Chiefs.
I mean, they're dealing with their fair share of injuries
and so on and so forth. But what I mean
by that is Kenneth Gainwell has been getting a ton
of run and if that is going to continue, which
I believe it will because he's proved his worth well,
these numbers are just too low not to take shots at.
(22:29):
That's all I'm thinking about right here, gain Well first
of all, rushing yards nineteen and a half. My point
to about these numbers being so low is, even if
we get into that third and fourth quarter, he's got
five yards at nineteen and a half, a handoff a
third and long where it's third and twenty five and
(22:50):
you know you're gonna punk the ball, so your lineup
and shotgun you hand it to gain Well. He can
break it for fifteen yards and pick that up. So
at nineteen and a half, I have to take Kenneth
Gainwell on the over Draft Kings sports book as far
as the props are concerned there with that, now, the
number moved opened up the week, Dare I say we
(23:11):
move numbers here on braids for winnings. On Monday, woke
up and said, let me take a look at some
of these numbers out here and on DraftKings sports book.
To lead the game the leading rusher, I'm also going
with Gainewell. Now, do I believe that he will be
the leading rusher in the game. I do to a point.
(23:32):
Could he be, absolutely, But there's a reason why he's
fifth in the odds behind both running backs for the
KNCI Chiefs and Miles Sanders and Gille Arts because it's
probably not gonna happen. But he did go for over
one against the New York Giants. So all I know
is when you dangle a number at plus in front
of me, I gotta take a swing. It's down to
(23:53):
fifteen to one. I still think that should be a
play for a lot of people out there. Uh to
lead the game in rushing. Kenneth Gainewell, I don't believe
the Chiefs running backs are going to all of a
sudden get a boatload of carries. I don't see that happening.
That's not Andy Reid's forte. And of course you're taking
the ball out of Patrick mahomes hands. That's not a
winning that's not a recipe for success for the kids
(24:14):
the Chiefs. So put the Chiefs players to the side.
Jalen Hurts and of course Miles Sanders could very well
be the two that run the football the most. But
again I'm taking a stab at the high price of
plus over to the defensive side. Hassan Reddick first sack
in the game, three to one, j J three to one,
(24:37):
plus three hundred, first sack in the game. I'm going
with his son Reddick all day long. I think his
son Reddick is gonna have a big game. I think
his name is gonna be mentioned a few times throughout
the broadcast. And of course we'll get into it in
just a second here as far as m VP is concerned.
So I got three props that I like there, and

A defensive player can get it done. We saw that

Possibly the m v P. Possibly, But that's the reason
why you kind of just look at the quarterback. Aaron
Donald should have been the m v P last year,

but it went to Cooper Cup. You had two touchdowns.
If I'm not mistaken, in that game, it's gonna go
to an offense if it's especially high scoring. What you're
not saying, but the only thing I'm I'm feeling, Yeah, exactly.
That goes into it. When you limit the Kansas City
Chiefs and you hold them to under twenty, that is
absolutely gonna paint that picture that the defense was dominating
and leading up for two weeks straight. The son Reddick's
(26:29):
name has been mentioned just as much as Jane Hurts.
You know, look, I get it. Maybe Jane, it's just
a ad above. He is the quarterback, it's the guy.
But Hassan Reddick's name. I mean, they're making the case.
A lot of people in the media are making the case.
So when it comes to voting, we all know what
goes into it. They gotta get their votes in before
the fourth quarter ends and all that. I think a
(26:49):
son Reddick has a big first half sets the tone
early for that defense. Thirty five, the one, and oh,
by the way, I got him at two one to
start the playoffs. Let's go a son Reddick Boom m
v P super Wolf at the seven. Yeah, I think
I'm gonna just go with Jalen Hurts is the NV pick.
I'm gonna stick it. I'm gonna stick very Yeah, I'm
(27:11):
gonna say very much to the quarterback. Now. I think
the one argument I can make in your case, I
don't love a Son Reddick because everybody's on him and
the number, as you just said, has gotten completely out
of hand. But the one thing that in your favor
is nobody wants to give Jalen Hurts credit every step
of the way. It's the Eagles offense is really good
(27:33):
around him, the defense is really good. They haven't played anybody. Now,
they have played somebody, but Jalen Hurts doesn't get the credit.
But I think if he does run the ball here
and he has maybe a rushing touchdown a passing touchdown,
So even if this comes out, so he has barely
over two yards passing, but he is close to let's
(27:53):
just say, because you think he's gonna run a lot too, right,
I think we're both kind of on that he's gonna
have close to a total of to fifty. Let's just
stay then that's being conservative with the rushing yards. He's
gonna get the m v P if they win this game,
because now he's the new kid on the block. He's
the kid who's an m VP finalist at the moment
with Patrick Mahomes. Now, of course I think Patrick Mahomes
is gonna win the m v P. But he's an
m VP finalist. He has now won a super Bowl,
(28:16):
and I think that's going to that's going to then
sway people of he's not just the guy that's, you know,
he along for the ride. I guess he is the
guy that's really steering things in this direction. He's in charge,
and he's the reason why they're going to win a
super Bowl if they do so. As much as the
narrative does kind of play into Jalen Hurts not winning
(28:37):
the m v P a little bit because nobody has
given him credit for things this year, I think Finally,
this is the game that he gets his due, and
I think he wins m v P. If the Eagles
win this game, I'll see you on broad Hey, we're
both predicting that I'll see you there. It's not supposed
to be a nice day. I'm already gonna be camping
out there. Do we know what day it is? The parade? Now,
(29:01):
I'm talking about Broad Street on Sunday night to the game?
Oh after the games? WHOA? Alright, easy? I don't know
about that. What do you mean? Maybe I thought you're
staying downtown. That doesn't mean I want to go out.
I don't like. I don't like doing that stuff. You're
out of your mind. They went in the Super Bowl.
You gotta get out and celebrate with the city. Are
you gonna be out there with me? Then? I'm gonna

try to make it down there, but I think i'm

the jump, and this is Brace for Winnings, the podcast

lot to discuss on this episode. It's been a fun
ride so far, sir, But what do you say we
close off this season with a winning wager? That's what
it's all about, my friend. Yeah, one last game, and
didn't think the year we would do this podcast as
is a year the Eagles will be in the Super Bowl.
So how about timing for that one? Yes? Tremendous, So
(01:08):
let's get after it. First of all, we are going
almost like they did it just for us, just for you,
just for you and I. We'll get into exactly how
we believe this game will play out right here, right now,
but we're gonna open up with some Super Bowl nuggets
to get the mind going if you don't mind. First
of all, in a game where it really seems like
opinions are split JJ right down the middle, who will
(01:31):
be victorious on Super Bowl Sunday. It should really come
as no surprise because right now the number has been
holding steady at one and a half for basically the
last week or so. Here on Draftkicking Sports Book, Eagles
want to have point favorites fifty one, though we're now
ticking up on the total as we're recording this here
live for you on Thursday morning, fifty one is your
(01:53):
total money line, still holding steady at one for the
Birds minus and plus one oh five for the Cancer
to the Chiefs. So it should come as no surprise
that a lot of people are split down the middle
when you start asking who is going to win it
on Sunday. We've never had a Super Bowl go off
at a pick. We're about as close as you could
get to that right now, not suff we'll see any
(02:14):
movement as far as the spread is concerned, but I
won't be surprised if comes Sunday at kickoff at six
six pm we see this total tick up another number.
I won't be surprised that this gets to fifty one
and a half or fifty two. Yeah, when't surprise if
that continues to go up because these are the two
top to offenses. They both scored five forty six points
this season, which is tied for best in the league.
(02:34):
They are the two best offenses, and the Eagles defense
is very good, and I'm sure they're going to have
a solid performance in this game. I don't think they're
going to be that bad. But it's still Patrick Mahomes
on the end of the end of that and Andy
Reid's incredible play callings. So these are two great offenses,
and we also expected this game to be close, or
at least I do you know, there's reasons I think
for both sides here, for Kansas City and the Eagles.
(02:55):
So we'll obviously leave the picks to the end of this,
but none of that surprises me. I I would get
in as early as he kN on that total. Sean,
I think that's going to continue to go up. It's
it's creeping up slowly, but obviously as we get closer
towards the game and more bets because also there are
a lot more places to bet, and you can bet
on the state that the Super Bowl is in. Uh. Yeah,
(03:16):
I think this number is gonna move up pretty drastically.
I had to say drastically, but compared to the slowly
inching forward we've seen, I think it could end up
being maybe another half a point, maybe another point. Yep. Yeah,
we'll see how that one plays out on Sunday. And
as your point was, as far as the point scored
for these two teams five six across the board, uh,
(03:36):
talk about evenly matched. You're both finished with sixteen and
three overall records. Isn't that incredible just to say that
we did. We have two of the best teams here,
six six all pros on both sides, one has a
Kelsey brother um and both teams were number one seeds.
It's pretty cool to see that evenly matched. But I
still feel like there's one better team, uh, in the
(03:56):
totality of a roster. So again, we'll get into that
game breakdown just a second staying with the Nugs though
here uh. Through fifty Super Bowls, favorites and underdogs are
an even twenty seven, twenty seven and two, and the
Super Bowl. Recently, though dogs have done better. They are
eight and seven outright and ten of five a t
s in the past fifteen Super Bowls. There's a little
(04:17):
something for you as far as history is concerned, not
so much a trend of substance. We'll get into those
in just a second. The Chiefs were plus six fifty
to win the Super Bowl on DraftKings sports book preseason.
That was when the odds were first released last February.
They felt to eleven and one entering this season, name
which I got some of that action, the longest odds
(04:38):
they were at any point this season. When the regular
season season ended this year, the Chiefs were plus three
forty favorites, the Eagles on the flip side forty to
one when the odds opened up on DraftKings sports Book.
Some spots even had had them as high as fifty
to one prior to the Eagles landing a J. Brown,
and then once that happened, numbers started coming down. Twenty
(05:00):
five the one is essentially where it was when the
season started. That would make the Philadelphi Eagles the biggest
preseason long shot to win the Super Bowl since the
only other time the Eagles won the Super Bowl they
were forty two one preseason. So we'll see if that's
how it plays out on Sunday, Eagles come out on top.
As far as a t S staying with some of
those trending, Eagles have been that big of a long
(05:22):
shot compared to that year. You know, it's a good
questions the I mean, the Eagles were good in seventeen.
Obviously they won the Super Bowl, but I think there
were some things that really caught us by surprise. The
only thing that caught us by surprise this year was
Jalen Hurts being an m v P. Other than that,
A J. Brown, we knew it was good. Smith is good,
and everybody on offense, and of course the defense is loaded.
(05:42):
I'm surprised that it was such a long shot. Yeah,
chief I guess it isn't hindsight though Chiefs are eight
and eleven a t S this season. They are the
six team to reach the Super Bowl with a losing
a t S record. Four of the previous five lost
the Super Bowl Chiefs also had the highest average over
under in the NFL this season at forty nine point eight.
(06:04):
Unders were eleven and eight in Chiefs games compared to
overs going ten and nine in the Eagles games. Now,
something I want to point out as far as the
total is concerned, Uh, this number continues to climb up.
We just pointed that out fifty one right now on
Drafticking sports book. There were eleven games. This will be
the twelfth game that the Kansas City Chiefs will play
in this season with the total of fifty or more.
(06:26):
So they played in eleven and there are three and
eight to the under with totals over fifty this season.
Makes you think a little bit there. I like the under.
I'm gonna get into why I believe that this will
be the case. It's one of my more passionate plays
on Super Bowl Sunday. Not the more fun play, let's
put it that way. Uh. You know, at the end,
(06:46):
I just want to win. But ultimately it's no fun
taken and under in the Super Bowl. However, that's been
the case for the past couple of seasons. I believe
the last four years we have had unders in the
Super Bowl. So let's get into it, though, j J.
As far as these trends, anything that is kept in
your ear, let's put it that way. Not too much
catching my ear, although it makes me worry a bit
(07:09):
about the over, and I guess I should be worried
about trying to bet this over. I got it a
fifty and a half. Fifty one is fine with me too.
I would take the over on that. Again. I think
it speaks for itself, the numbers that these offenses have
put up throughout the season and the Eagles defense. It's good,
and there's nothing wrong with the Eagles defense, but they
have given up some plays in the passing game before,
(07:31):
and they can give up some easy plays. And the
last time they went up against a very good passing offense,
Dad Prescott had over three d passing yards. The thing
is he also had two interceptions to go with his
three touchdowns, which when we get to the props you'll
see that. I might be on that as well for
Patrick Mahomes. But I I truly think this is going
to be a high scoring game and we're gonna get
(07:53):
every bit of the top offenses in the NFL going
at it. The Eagles are the number one pass past defense.
But they're not the number one pass or rush defense overall.
So I think there are some ways Kansas City can
run on the Eagles. I think there are some ways
they will be able to pass on the Eagles. Considering
the Eagles have not gone up against good passing offenses,
and when they have they failed. I just think there
(08:15):
is room here for Kansas City, who is such a
good offense, to put some points on the board. All right,
further Ado, let's get into it. Our official game plays
for Super Bowl fifty seven. Prediction time super Bowl fifty
seven is here, all right, j J. Let's do it.
(08:37):
Here we go. Time to find a winning play in
the game super Bowl fifty seven, Philadelphia Eagles against the
Chiefs once again. Draft Kings Sports Book wait a half
in favor of the Philadelphia Eagles total. I will go first.
Here's where I stand. To me, I think the Philadelphia
Eagles will be looked back upon as from a few
(09:02):
people out there. I think there's a lot of bull
in the Philadelphi media. A lot of people, of course,
are fans of the fiddle of Eagles that would say,
aren't gonna be saying is But there's gonna be a
lot of people that look back at this game going wow,
I misread that one. The Philadelphi Eagles are a special
team and they have shown showed us that throughout the
course of this year. But for some reason now that
(09:23):
Patrick Mahomes, I get it. It's the first time he's
ever been an underdog in a playoff game. Now everybody
wants to believe that Patrick Mahomes is going to be
the magic man on the other side. And this special
team that has shown us what they're capable of all
season long, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
For some reason, people are now reading the wrong way.
(09:45):
And that's fine. Again, I get why this is so
split down the middle. It's a it's a small spread,
short spread at a point and a half. These teams
are evenly matched as far as numbers are concerned, metrics
are concerned, and of course Patrick Mahomes is an underdog
has to be appealing, right like boom, you hear the
dollar signed ching Churching, Churching. Uh. But that's not where
(10:05):
I stand. To me, this Eagles defense is so good
in the trenches and that's where this game will be won.
It's the ultimate cliche. It starts up front. In the NFL,
and it's the truth, especially when you have the units
that the Philadelphia Eagles are possessing at this point in time.
I'll start with the offensive line. What they did to
(10:25):
the San Francisco San Francisco forty Nars was not a fluke.
What we saw, led by Jason Kelsey and of course
Lane Johnson who's dealing with an injury, join them, alatta,
all across the board, all five of them on that
offensive line was tremendous. Not a fluke by no means.
So for me, it starts up front on the offensive
side of the ball, I believe, And again we don't
(10:48):
know how it's gonna play off from the defensive side
of the ball. As far as Kansas City Steve spec
no how he's going to approach trying to slow down
Jalen Hurts. Will he spy them. It's a big deal
if he wants to go ahead and do that. You
heard it. We were talking to Jarry Evans, future Hall
of Famer, he's been on this podcast before. We did
a show with him, an Eagles Roundtable a little earlier
this week, and he discussed the advantages and the disadvantages
(11:10):
to running a spy. And of course it doesn't take
somebody that's an ex and expert if you're going to
single out one player and his soul uh purpose on
the field is to follow Jeale and Hurts. It opens
things up in the past game and if the running
back can get to that second level, watch out. And
these these guys on the offensive line for the photel
(11:31):
of Eagles are getting to that second level. It is
amazing to watch breakdown and see how athletic Jason Kelsey is,
Jordan Mulatta, Lane Johnson and company. These guys are doing
it to the best of the best. The defensive Player
of the Year was put on his back multiple times.
That's just not something that happens out of nowhere. No,
(11:52):
the great coaching leadership and ultimately skills this offensive line
is no joke. So for me, I feel like Nick Sirianni,
depending on what's going to happen on a defer decided
the ball for the Chiefs and now they're gonna approach it.
But he's gonna try and get that that passing game going,
and if it's not, they're just like the forty Niners game.
The bread and butter is running the football. So offensively,
(12:15):
I feel like the Eagles are gonna have their way
running the football. Jeale and Hurts is gonna have a
big game, maybe over sixty seventy five yards. For same
game parlay people out there, I'd be comfortable and taking
that number. Of course, any time touchdown. We were looking
at possibly to two touchdowns for Jail and Hurts to
shoot in this game. He's gonna put it on his
back spotlight shining the brightest. He knows what it does
(12:37):
for his legacy in this game. So I fully expect
the offense to be clicking on all cylinders, running the football,
passing attack. I'm not so sure that that's going to
be it, And I don't know if a matter of
effect of of Jail and Hurts dealing with the shoulder
injury or they won't need to do it. I just
don't think that they're going to need to throw the
football that much. So for same game parlay possibilities, I'm
(13:00):
looking at heavy on the running backs, heavy on Jailan
Hurt's running the football, and with that, of course, comes
chewing up the clock. And that's why I'm passionate about
the under here. I think the Eagles control the line
of scrimmage, run to football with success all four quarters.
Maybe start out slow, start out sluggish, light shining the brightest.
(13:20):
It's Super Bowl Sunday, baby. So for me, I think
the Eagles offense running the football. That is where the
bread and butter is for this Birds team, and it
will continue to do so on Sunday quickly. On the
defensive side, for the philip Eagles, it's not gonna be
easy going up against Patrick Mahomes, but we know that
they can get after the quarterback, sack the quarterback by
rushing for and if they can do that with success,
(13:43):
easier said than done. Right, you're on the podcast. I
get it. It's gonna be a long day from Homes.
I expect the Homes to have somewhat success. But here
is where my mind goes as far as Kansas City
on offense, then, but don't break. I don't think the
Eagles give up touchdowns. I think they really hold it
down in the red zone. Andy Reid takes his field goals.
(14:05):
He's not a guy who likes to roll the dice.
He'll settle for three in the first half, and therefore,
I don't think we get to the number of fifty one,
like the under, like the Eagles, like the offensive line
to shine. I think Jalen Hurts has a big game.
And of course we'll get into the props a little
bit later about the running backs and so on and
so forth. But I'm going twenty seven nineteen Philadelphia Eagles
(14:27):
win Super fifty seven. Yeah. Of course I do like
the over, so I like both offenses, and I think
they both do very well. But I'm going with the
Eagles here and the small margins. We talked about a lot.
It's a lot of things we talk about in betting
in general the NFL, but this game, I think we
can give advantage to Eagles in turnovers and also things
like coaching decisions. Andy Reid does not make many coaching
(14:51):
decisions are very good ones, and I think you pointed
that out right there. Andy Reid's conservative. He's not aggressive.
You would think somebody that has Patrick Mahomes as their quarterback,
they would be aggressive on third day, on fourth down,
they'd be aggress see trying for two point conversions. They
don't do that. Nick Sirianni does, though Nick Sirianni has
done that for the Eagles all season long, going on
fourth and short, and those drives the Eagles usually finish
(15:14):
off well too, So I think you're right. The Chiefs
are probably I think they're gonna score, and I think
they're gonna have no problem moving the ball on offense.
But it's that small margin of do they end up
going for it on fourth down? And if they settle
for field goals, that's not going to be enough to
beat the Eagles. Who I think you're right. The physicality
of the offensive line, it was a big problem two
(15:34):
years ago against Tampa Bay. Now, of course, new game,
new teams, new players, I get it. Still, the d
n A of this Chief's team is just about the
same and they really struggled with physicality against Tampa Bay
two years ago, and I still think that they have
this season. The physicality up front for the Eagles, and
also a J Brown Dallas Cotter. Those two guys aren't
(15:56):
easy to bring down. Jalen Hurts isn't easy to bring down.
Miles Sanders isn't easy to bring down. This is going
to be a very tough game physically, and I think
they are going to wear down as the game goes on.
So I like the Eagles offense to continue to score,
not stop scoring, and the Chiefs just one slip up,
just a couple of slip ups that could end up
winning the game for the Eagles. And I think because
(16:16):
Patrick Mahomes has to take chances, has to be able
to throw into this secondary and do it with pressure
in his face, which he's all good at that stuff,
but when he's gonna drop back more than forty times,
close to fifty times, I think, and he has to
throw into places that you wouldn't necessarily want quarterbacks to
throw into, just because he inherently has to to win
(16:37):
this game. I think that's going to lead to a
turnover maybe two as well. So I think the Eagles
win there. They went on fourth down, they win in
the turnover deferential, and I think that ultimately wins them
the game. How about that? Did you give me a
final score? Uh, that's going over. So that's over. It's
(16:58):
just I think it could go a little bit higher.
I don't know. I'm concerned. I think the only thing
I could certain of is the Kansas City side and
again field goals, because twenty seven would assume that a
field goal or two in there. Yeah, Well, if they
get the twenty seven, that's gonna be a great game.
First of all, d K has a lot to offer.
There are plenty of prop bets and a lot of
(17:20):
other wages that you can make. I know, plus twenty
five for both teams is a nice little pay day
as well. So, uh, if you believe that thirty is
gonna be final score, please get a little piece of
that action, um, because that's a nice little paid day there.
I'm a big time thirty plus thirty points. I'll sprinkle
from time to time. I don't think, I honestly don't
think we see a team get the thirty points that
(17:41):
really don't you don't think. I think this game slows
down and defenses start to shine a little bit more,
and and um, you know, like I said, just the
bright lights. It's Super Bowl Sunday, and it's gonna take
a little bit of time to get acclimated. And as
far as the Eagles are concerned, Jail and I thought
opened up the game against the forty nine is feeling
(18:03):
a little jitter re um, you know, missing some throws.
And again we don't know if that shoulders just yet.
I believe it is. If he's if he needs to
throw thirty five times in the game on Sunday. I
believe Jalen hurts ken, but you know, the slightest as
far as pain is concerned, or injury or anything along
(18:23):
those lines. Next to you know, the ball is thrown
off mark and we saw what Rogers the season dealing
with the thumb injury. Ball was sailing on him through
a couple of interceptions. Jalen hurts, we haven't seen him
have to throw the football since he's returned from that injury,
and partly because of the success on the offense, partly
because they continue to win these football games and they're
blowing them out. So this might be the first challenge.
(18:45):
We're about to learn a lot on Sunday. But I
fully do expect the success to begin up from for
the Eagles with that offensive line. This team is too
good in both of those departments to lose this game.

props because if there's one thing I can surprise, surprise,
but it's not all good and all have to be good.
There is one that you would consider good, but it
doesn't have to be. I just I know Patrick Mahomes
going to be used a lot, and I think the
Eagles are going to score and push Kansas City to
pass a lot. Andy Reid, we know, loves to abandon
(20:19):
the run in these situations, and the Chiefs running game
isn't that good to begin with. Patrick Mahomes is going
to throw a lot in this game. So I'm going
over thirty eight and a half. Now that is juice
s up a lot on Draft Kings Sports Book minus
one forty five, so is the past completions. I'm going
minus one thirty five for the over twenty five and
a half. I still think it's worth the risk for
these juice up numbers because Patrick Mahomes is gonna fly
(20:42):
over these. If there's one thing the Eagles do give
up its completions, they are outside the top ten and
completion percentage allowed. We know that they've given Andy Dalton
thirteen straight completions before and Dak Prescott flew over this
number and his completion percentage was really good against the
Eagles secondary. I forgot Dak Prescott a lot because he
was the last good quarterback. I think the Eagle's really
faced and the last good passing out offense, and the
(21:04):
Cowboys had success. But along with the success that Dak
Prescott had Sean Brace he also through two interceptions that game.
So give me the over and this is the one
I like the most over on Patrick Mahomes to throw
an interception that is minus one oh five, and I'll
give you a bonus one too. This is going into
the square predict but because of the way I think
(21:25):
Kansas City is going to be and I think that
Andy Reid is going to call this game, I'm taking
the Chiefs total points band of thirty points. I think
they fall somewhere within that that is at plus one
forty mon Draft Kings Sports Interesting. I don't mind that
play whatsoever. I got a little something for you as
far as in that ballpark, like that talking bands here,
(21:48):
I'll give you my four player props. And we went
to it in the NFC Championship game and unfortunately we
just missed out. But we're going right back to it.
And ultimately I believe it's the ebbs and flows of
the season. Him who the Eagles were in Week one
versus the Detroit Lions is not who they are right now,
(22:08):
and the same could be said about the Kansas City Chiefs.
I mean, they're dealing with their fair share of injuries
and so on and so forth. But what I mean
by that is Kenneth Gainwell has been getting a ton
of run and if that is going to continue, which
I believe it will because he's proved his worth well,
these numbers are just too low not to take shots at.
(22:29):
That's all I'm thinking about right here, gain Well first
of all, rushing yards nineteen and a half. My point
to about these numbers being so low is, even if
we get into that third and fourth quarter, he's got
five yards at nineteen and a half, a handoff a
third and long where it's third and twenty five and
(22:50):
you know you're gonna punk the ball, so your lineup
and shotgun you hand it to gain Well. He can
break it for fifteen yards and pick that up. So
at nineteen and a half, I have to take Kenneth
Gainwell on the over Draft Kings sports book as far
as the props are concerned there with that, now, the
number moved opened up the week, Dare I say we
(23:11):
move numbers here on braids for winnings. On Monday, woke
up and said, let me take a look at some
of these numbers out here and on DraftKings sports book.
To lead the game the leading rusher, I'm also going
with Gainewell. Now, do I believe that he will be
the leading rusher in the game. I do to a point.

Could he be, absolutely, But there's a reason why he's
fifth in the odds behind both running backs for the
KNCI Chiefs and Miles Sanders and Gille Arts because it's
probably not gonna happen. But he did go for over
one against the New York Giants. So all I know
is when you dangle a number at plus in front
of me, I gotta take a swing. It's down to
(23:53):
fifteen to one. I still think that should be a
play for a lot of people out there. Uh to
lead the game in rushing. Kenneth Gainewell, I don't believe
the Chiefs running backs are going to all of a
sudden get a boatload of carries. I don't see that happening.
That's not Andy Reid's forte. And of course you're taking
the ball out of Patrick mahomes hands. That's not a
winning that's not a recipe for success for the kids

the Chiefs. So put the Chiefs players to the side.
Jalen Hurts and of course Miles Sanders could very well
be the two that run the football the most. But
again I'm taking a stab at the high price of
plus over to the defensive side. Hassan Reddick first sack
in the game, three to one, j J three to one,
(24:37):
plus three hundred, first sack in the game. I'm going
with his son Reddick all day long. I think his
son Reddick is gonna have a big game. I think
his name is gonna be mentioned a few times throughout
the broadcast. And of course we'll get into it in
just a second here as far as m VP is concerned.
So I got three props that I like there, and
then one more just for fun plus one yeah, for fun,
(25:00):
for kicks for money. But the race only plus one
thirty five race the twenty five points. Philadelphia Eagles I
think finished with seven. I don't think the Kansas City
Chiefs get the twenty five plus one thirty five. I'm
taking a little action on the race the twenty five points.
I'm not a big race type of guy. You see me.

I'm out of shape. I can't run fast. But with this,
we'll have some fun on Super Bowl Sunday. We're all
over it right here on Brace for Winnings. I gave

That goes into it. When you limit the Kansas City
Chiefs and you hold them to under twenty, that is
absolutely gonna paint that picture that the defense was dominating
and leading up for two weeks straight. The son Reddick's

name has been mentioned just as much as Jane Hurts.
You know, look, I get it. Maybe Jane, it's just
a ad above. He is the quarterback, it's the guy.
But Hassan Reddick's name. I mean, they're making the case.
A lot of people in the media are making the case.
So when it comes to voting, we all know what
goes into it. They gotta get their votes in before
the fourth quarter ends and all that. I think a

son Reddick has a big first half sets the tone
early for that defense. Thirty five, the one, and oh,
by the way, I got him at two one to
start the playoffs. Let's go a son Reddick Boom m
v P super Wolf at the seven. Yeah, I think
I'm gonna just go with Jalen Hurts is the NV pick.
I'm gonna stick it. I'm gonna stick very Yeah, I'm

gonna say very much to the quarterback. Now. I think
the one argument I can make in your case, I
don't love a Son Reddick because everybody's on him and
the number, as you just said, has gotten completely out
of hand. But the one thing that in your favor
is nobody wants to give Jalen Hurts credit every step
of the way. It's the Eagles offense is really good

around him, the defense is really good. They haven't played anybody. Now,
they have played somebody, but Jalen Hurts doesn't get the credit.
But I think if he does run the ball here
and he has maybe a rushing touchdown a passing touchdown,
So even if this comes out, so he has barely
over two yards passing, but he is close to let's
(27:53):
just say, because you think he's gonna run a lot too, right,
I think we're both kind of on that he's gonna
have close to a total of to fifty. Let's just
stay then that's being conservative with the rushing yards. He's
gonna get the m v P if they win this game,
because now he's the new kid on the block. He's
the kid who's an m VP finalist at the moment
with Patrick Mahomes. Now, of course I think Patrick Mahomes
is gonna win the m v P. But he's an
m VP finalist. He has now won a super Bowl,

and I think that's going to that's going to then
sway people of he's not just the guy that's, you know,
he along for the ride. I guess he is the
guy that's really steering things in this direction. He's in charge,
and he's the reason why they're going to win a
super Bowl if they do so. As much as the
narrative does kind of play into Jalen Hurts not winning

the m v P a little bit because nobody has
given him credit for things this year, I think Finally,
this is the game that he gets his due, and
I think he wins m v P. If the Eagles
win this game, I'll see you on broad Hey, we're
both predicting that I'll see you there. It's not supposed
to be a nice day. I'm already gonna be camping
out there. Do we know what day it is? The parade? Now,

I'm talking about Broad Street on Sunday night to the game?
Oh after the games? WHOA? Alright, easy? I don't know
about that. What do you mean? Maybe I thought you're

You gotta get out and celebrate with the city. Are
