If you have a testimony, we'd love to hear those.
You can email the show Bring Heaven Down number seven
(00:24):
at gmail dot com, and I would love to answer
a question or read your testimony. We are in Psalm
twenty three for a few more days, and we are
in Versus four and five today, so let me just
go ahead and read it. It says this, for though
(00:44):
I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil. For you are with me.
Your rod and your staff they comfort me. You prepare
a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil. My cup overflows. Let's
(01:11):
discuss that first verse. Even though I walk through the
valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.
This is one of those verses, then, is a lot
easier to read and agree with than to actually walk
(01:32):
through the Valley of the Shadow of Death and fear
no evil because we know He is with us. Although
that is exactly the approach and perspective we should have.
I mean, seriously, as you walk through your everyday life,
as you see the world the way that it is,
(01:57):
do you really fear no evil? Because I certainly do.
But here's what brings me comfort during the evil that
surrounds us. It's that the Holy Spirit is stronger than
any evil force. And when we hold close that truth,
(02:25):
we can walk through the Valley of the Shadow of
Death while fearing no evil. If we try to walk
through this evil world by ourselves, without the strength of
(02:45):
the Holy Spirit guiding us, we are going to be
filled with so much anxiety we won't even know which
way to turn. The only way that we can thrive
in twenty twenty five is to be guided by the
Holy Spirit. And then verse five says, you prepare a
(03:07):
table before me and the presence of my enemies, you
anoint my head with oil. My cup overflows. And the
part that sticks out to me in verse five is
my cup overflows. And I don't think it's talking about
(03:30):
a literal cup. I think it's talking about the cup
of love. I've ever felt so loved that your cup
has exploded and you feel so joyful. And I think
(03:51):
that's what that verse is talking about. Because he has
prepared a table before me and the presence of my enemies,
and because he anointed my head of oil, his cup
over flows. If you have never read Psalm twenty three,
I highly encourage you to do it because it is
(04:14):
such a powerful chapter in the book of the Bible.
Thank you for choosing Jesus today, and I hope this
podcast revealed more and more about our Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ. I hope you all have a wonderful day
filled with the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
