So today's testimony Tuesday. Grab your favorite drinker, a cup
of coffee, let's bring heaven a little closer together. Today's
(01:33):
testimony comes from Michael, and he says, Hello, Hi Michael,
I have a few testimonies that I'd like to share. First,
one I would like to share about seven years ago,
I lost my job and struggled to find another that
matched my previous pay. To make ends meet, I worked
two jobs for nearly a year. During this time, my
(01:55):
family and I started attending church, searching for guidance and connection. Eventually,
I found a new job that paid a little more,
but it required twelve hour shifts. Despite the demanding schedule,
we wanted to build deeper relationships, so we joined a
church group. Through this experience, I learned a lot and
developed a strong faith in Jesus Christ. As the group's
(02:17):
journey came to an end, the leader asked if I
wanted to get baptized. I truly wanted to, but I
told them I couldn't I had to work. Then, unexpectedly,
I received a call from my workplace. They informed me
that the machines wouldn't be running, so I didn't need
to come in. I took that as a sign that
I was meant to be baptized. Without hesitation, I reached
(02:39):
out and made arrangements. After the baptism service, something incredible happened.
I got a call asking if I wanted to come
into work. I was stunned. God had made it possible
for me to be baptized, ensuring nothing stood in my way,
and once it was done, he gave me my job back.
(03:03):
That's cool. It's cool to see how God worked through
this situation. In this first testimony that Michael shared so
that he could get baptized, his second one he wanted
to share. It says this. For years, I prayed and
hoped to return to the field I had studied in school.
(03:24):
It was always on my mind. Then an event occurred
that deeply impacted my wife. It made her feel that
we needed to leave our area. That realization set everything
in emotion. Determined to find better opportunities, I started searching
for jobs outside our state, applying anywhere I could. I
looked in Oregon and even as far as Minnesota, sixteen
(03:46):
hundred miles away, driving all that way just for an interview.
During this process, I had a serious conversation with my wife.
I told her that companies would only take me seriously
if they believed I was already in the area and
planning to move. Something about Minnesota felt right. I couldn't
explain it, but I had a strong feeling that it
(04:08):
was where we needed to be. My wife felt the
same way, even though she had never been there. With
faith guiding me, I quit my job and traveled to
Minnesota alone. I stayed in an airbnb for a month,
fully focused on finding work. In the first week, I
relentlessly sent out applications one after another. By the second week,
(04:29):
I started getting interviews. Before long, I had two job offers,
one in a warehouse with great pay and another in
my field, though the salary was lower than the first.
Needing a job right away, I accepted the warehouse position,
but when I later received the offer for the job
I had dreamed of for so many years, I was
overwhelmed with joy. Despite the lower pay, I knew it
(04:53):
was the right choice. I took it without hesitation, and
just one month everything aligned perfectly. Secured an apartment in Jaska, Minnesota,
and I finally landed the career I had longed for.
Every step of the journey, even the uncertainties, led to
where we were meant to be. I am very encouraged
(05:18):
and inspired by the second testimony, Michael shared particularly because
of the story that he shares when he says, I
quit my job and traveled to Minnesota alone. I stayed
(05:39):
in an airbnb for a month, fully focused on finding work.
He moved to Minnesota without already having a job in
place because he had enough faith that God would provide
for him and his family. And that is something that
(06:00):
I personally struggle with. I like to have my tea's
crossed and my eyes dotted before I make a major
decision like this. Now. I have made decisions like this
before when I was single and all I had to
take care of was myself. But Michael has a family,
(06:24):
and he moved to Minnesota, applied for jobs, interviewed for jobs,
and then got two job offers and landed a career
that he had longed for. Plus I grew up twenty
minutes away from Jaska and live one hour from Jaska
(06:47):
right now, so that helps. But all kidding aside, this
story is a beautiful story of trusting in God's plan
even when you can't fully see it. Because he left
where they lived to go to Minnesota and apply for
(07:10):
jobs and stayed in airbnb not knowing what's next. And
I think that's encouraging. His third testimony that he shares.
This one is more about God looking out for our
best interests, he writes. After some time we moved back
(07:32):
to Washington. My wife had developed a medical condition, and
returning made it necessary for her to work as well.
During this period, we realized how much we loved Minnesota,
not only for its environment, but also because it offered
the best medical care for my wife. Believing she had
the best chance there, we decided to move back. I
(07:54):
landed a job in Rochester, Minnesota, and at first it
seemed promising. The employer assured me there was plenty of
work to keep me busy for years. But after I
moved and started working, things quickly felt off. The workload
wasn't as steady as I had been told. By the
third month, the company let me go, claiming I wasn't
(08:16):
a good fit, when in reality, the work just wasn't
coming in as promised. I panicked. My wife immediately said
we need to move back to Washington. So without hesitation,
we began packing, planning, and searching for jobs. During the transition,
I sent out applications, hoping for an opportunity back home.
(08:37):
By the time we returned to Washington, I got my
old job back, the one I had before moving, and
since then I've been working there. Looking back, I see
how God was watching over us every step of the way.
When we veered off the path he intended for us,
he found a way to guide us back. That's exactly
(08:58):
what he did for me. Thank you for letting me
share a few of my stories, Michael. So there's a
lot here because there's three different testimonies, but there is
a consistent theme in every single one of these testimonies.
In the first testimony, God paved away for Michael to
(09:20):
get baptized. In the second testimony, God paved a way
for Michael to land a job in Minnesota. But what
I find cool about it is that Michael trusted and
moved and applied, and the Lord provided. And in the
(09:41):
third testimony, he admits that he panicked, but his wife said,
let's just go back to Washington. So without hesitation, they
went back. He searched for jobs and landed in the
same biziition that he once had before. So Michael's story
(10:06):
is a story of God orchestrating Michael and his wife
trusting and following what God had intended for them, and
it's a really beautiful testimony and I'm grateful that Michael
shared it. I hope you could share yours too, because
(10:31):
I would love to read it and talk about it.
I know it will encourage others, and I know it
could change your life. So email the show Bring Heaven
