(00:50):
So grab your favorite drink or a cup of coffee,
and let's bring Heaven a little closer together. Today's testimony
comes from Keith and this is what he said. It
says ironically, I listened to the testimony episode yesterday and
(01:13):
my experience came later that night. I'm a fifty seven
year old dentist who grew up in a family believing
that there was a God in heaven, but we never
practiced it. In fact, the only time I remember being
inside a church was for a cub Scout ceremony. Sure
through the years, I prayed every now and then when
it was convenient or when I wanted something, but never
(01:35):
just to chat with God. It wasn't until about four
to five years ago when a close friend who had
been struggling with personal problems found Jesus. I saw first
hand how his life turned a complete when eighty their
family went from struggling personally, emotionally, and financially to solid
on all fronts. He quit drinking completely and focused on
(01:59):
God's word. That inspired me to change two so last year,
I told him that I wanted to give my life
to Christ and asked if he had do the honor
of baptizing me. He agreed, but I never found the
time to make it happen. Fast forward to last month.
We lost my wife's beloved horse, Henry, after battling lameness
(02:19):
issues for almost two years. Although he was her horse,
it hit me like a truckload of bricks. I'm tearing
up right now typing this. Yesterday was a hard day
for me. Rough day at work, emotions from other personal
stuff going on, et cetera. I fell lost and lonely.
So when I went out and cleaned the barn and
took care of our other horses. I took a minute
(02:41):
to visit Henry his resting place under his favorite tree.
I told him about my day and how I missed
him terribly. Then I prayed for God to give me strength.
On my way back into the house, I saw a
cardinal sitting on a power pole singing. Not an unusual sighting,
but I've never seen one singing at this particular time
(03:01):
of the day. Not only was he singing, but he
was staring right at me, almost like he was talking
to me. I started crying because my wife and I
both believe that cardinals are lost loved ones visiting from heaven.
It wasn't until I was inside taking a shower that
it hit me. It wasn't Henry that was talking to
me through the cardinal. It was God. He was letting
(03:24):
me know he heard my prayer and that he had
me covered. I felt an incredible wave of energy come
over me at that exact time that I realized that
something I've never felt in my fifty seven years. Like
you said on your podcast, God makes us go through
suffering to see the glory in our faith, and I
can attest that I've been through suffering in one way
(03:46):
or another since June of twenty twenty four. He let
me know that he's with me, and on his time,
I will be set free and realize a piece that
I can only dream of. Thank you for your podcast.
I'm glad I found it. Keith. A few things that
dive into after reading Keith's testimony. First, it's hard to
(04:10):
ignore his statement in which he says, not an unusual sitting,
but I've never seen one singing at this particular time
of day. Not only was he singing, but he's staring
right at me, almost like he was talking to me.
I started crying because my wife and I both believe
(04:30):
that cardinals are lost loved ones visiting from heaven. Now,
that particular sentence of cardinals being lost loved ones visiting
from heaven is not biblical. So maybe there's been experiences
that Keith has seen that makes him feel this way,
(04:54):
but I cannot confirm that part of the test the money.
And then he later on says through the cardinal he
felt like it was God talking to him. But let's
go up to the part up top, because I think
(05:15):
this part hits the hardest. It wasn't until about fourty
five years ago when a close friend who had been
struggling with personal problems found Jesus. I saw first hand
how his life turned a complete one eighty. Their family
went from struggling personally, emotionally, and financially to solid on
(05:36):
all fronts. He quit drinking completely and focused on God's word.
He later says that inspired me to change too. So
last year I told him that I wanted to give
my life to Christ and asked if he'd do the
honor of baptizing me. He agreed, but I never found
the time to make it happen. But later on it
(05:57):
gives his life to Christ. He went through suffering in
one way or another since June of twenty twenty four,
and animals do hold a close place in a lot
of people's hearts. So I understand the emotional side of that.
I completely understand the grieving process from Keith and his wife.
(06:21):
But the part that sticks out to me the most
is the story that Keith shares about his friend whose
life did a complete one pint eighty. Because that's how
all of our lives should look. When Jesus is a
part of our life, we are born as unbelievers because
(06:49):
we do not have the Holy Spirit in us yet.
And when we become believers, when we become followers of Jesus,
our life life should reflect the decision that we made
to follow Jesus to try to become more like Jesus.
(07:11):
And it's not that we are going to be perfect,
because although I am a follower of Jesus, I sin
every single day. I sind way more than I could
ever imagine. But being a follower of Jesus is also
recognizing that we aren't perfect and recognizing that we do
need a savior. It's recognizing that I do fall short
(07:33):
and I do need to confess my sin and say Jesus,
I'm sorry. So I love how Keith saw his friend
and how his life did a complete one to eighty
and how that encouraged him, because when Jesus is in
(07:55):
our life, our life should look different than what it
looked like before Jesus was in our life because now
we have a personal relationship with him. And when you
have a personal relationship with him, you can talk to
(08:18):
him anytime you want. You can chat with him, which
Keith talked about in his testimony, and when the Holy
Spirit is in our heart the same spirit that raised
Jesus from the dead, then our lives should look different.
We need to lean into the Holy Spirit and his
(08:38):
guidance and his strength and the discernment that the Holy
Spirit provides. I love this testimony from Keith, and I
will love your testimony as well. Email the show Bring

(08:58):
Jesus today and I hope the Holy Spirit revealed more
and more about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
