they have you know, and we done did it before
two a lot of people like we got a special guest,
and the guests don't even be special, Like we don't.
We don't fuck did that a few times ourselves. So
I ain't gonna clown no. But today we got a
special guest for sure, and I'll let you introduce. I
(00:51):
just made him thirty two minutes ago, ball, so you
know him a little better than me. And Joe introduce
our special guests on today's day.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Cool. Look, man, we got Sandy Creeks on. Yeah, Georgia
Tech's own Yeah. But Lin the cough winner, Yeah, hall
of famer, the leading career no excuse me, the leading
year receiving yards yard yardage holder, my friend, my partner,
Mega trun Calvin Johnson, let's go. You can say your
(01:22):
recruit my recruit ship. How could I forget your recruit? Yeah?
That's hosted too, And Morgan had to remind me I
hosted him. I had Morgan and Calvin.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
That's one thing for sure. Georgia Tech should always honor you.
Just getting Calvin Johnson at Georgia Tech.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
It'll come back around, you know how that a little slower?
Speaker 3 (01:45):
Can you like I know, like in college, but I'm saying,
like as a like profession, can you do that?
Speaker 2 (01:51):
Does that make show? For sure? If you got damn
you might be on something and they probably do that
if you got like a I was saying, what they
call that? Yea? You know so if you've got that service, bro,
let me tell you something. It's like it's like a
like an entertainment package. If you will, you can win too.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
They do back in the day, you can.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Georgia was doing it for a minute. You remember here,
that's what that's what they wait more, all them on
the sideline.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
No, I'm talking about hosting, not not just showing no
damn appearance, taking my people out, showing where to go,
take them to this ristal.
Speaker 5 (02:29):
They're snatching away bowl games and stuff back in the day.
But now you can do that stuff now and all
that ship. What can't you do with this motherfucking money?
Speaker 2 (02:37):
Now?
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Hey, Georgia Tech and Georgia played I know, I know
y'all was one of the different outcomes, but nah, the
game was.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
It was a good game. We say that though. Yeah,
I'm tired of y'all getting a caller to the fucking
determined the game. Bro, It's always a call or to.
Now we did throw that pick on the two. That hurt, Yeah, yeah,
that hurt. But uh, y'all pick we picked get the
past interference called picked up again and whatever that It
(03:08):
was a hands to.
Speaker 6 (03:09):
The face, the face mask.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
No, it was the face, man, it was a face mask,
but it was. It was a personal foul. Hands to
the face on one of our d linemen. And I'm like, bro,
hold on, y'all. Y'all the s c C the biggest, toughest, roughest,
and we calling hands to the face. But that's how
I go sometimes. Yeah, how you picking up flags? Come on, man,
(03:35):
throw the flag and stand back.
Speaker 6 (03:36):
You play certain teams, you just know what's gonna come
with it.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
There's some treating their ship.
Speaker 7 (03:42):
N a couple of referee they got Jordan and on.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Them after the game.
Speaker 7 (03:52):
Put in Jersey say that word again. Don't worry about it.
Just collect the ship.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
I'm gonna get it right, all right.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
If you want to win. To Georgia Tech, what the
other school you had in mind?
Speaker 2 (04:08):
What made me say, oh that one? Damn? Oh yeah yeah,
And I knew that ship because you went there before
you came visited. So yeah, I went on my visit
to Okay, the other place. Yeah, especially after we lost.
Speaker 5 (04:28):
Man my son go to Woolward. So I was just like,
you can't wear your colors. You want to wear them
color like you wrap your school, but not that well
yeah the week for real?
Speaker 6 (04:40):
What was that?
Speaker 2 (04:41):
That?
Speaker 7 (04:41):
Like?
Speaker 6 (04:42):
Sold you gonna Tech?
Speaker 5 (04:43):
So I wanted to tell everybody asked me that, you know,
why did you go to Tech? You know, Georgia had
the better program, all that Homer, Clemson, all that stuff.
Speaker 4 (04:51):
I wanted to taket Sol because of the education.
Speaker 5 (04:53):
When I graduate from Tech, I'm going to walk right
into a job, an opportunity right out of Tech.
Speaker 4 (04:58):
And that's why I want to Tech.
Speaker 5 (04:59):
You know, Mom, being an educator, you know that was obviously,
you know, a big emphasis, a big focus in our household.
Speaker 4 (05:04):
So you know I knew that.
Speaker 5 (05:06):
You know, football was just you know, me being realistic,
like I know the numbers, you know, small percentages, you know,
injury and all that stuff can happen, you know, just
go out there and like to my dad's point, you know,
just bust your ass and see what happened.
Speaker 6 (05:17):
What you what did you pick up? What's your your major?
Speaker 5 (05:21):
I went to Tech to be an engineer, but I
fell into building construction. And they came and told me,
like my first year that I can't do that and
play football here because all like the main courses are
in the afternoon. We got practice in so I switched
over to business management and.
Speaker 7 (05:37):
Problem serious and right, you gotta be studying like.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
I was an underclear engineer going in and they quickly said, hey, Reggie,
you got to change something now. And it wasn't because
of the schedule of the classes. I'm gonna flunt that.
We get it. We got you switch this up right now.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
Crazy to hit the reason why you were thinking education?
Like what job purpose one of the best receivers to
play job?
Speaker 2 (06:09):
That's crazy?
Speaker 5 (06:10):
What then, like I said, we go back to Tech though,
like went to that visit to U g A. And
it's you know, I had two main visits. I didn't
want to Clemson too, but it's more unofficial. I just
know I want to stay home to my family, can
send me play gotch and went up there and had
my whole time. I say, I hate to put the
putting nobody on blast like that, but man, like it's
(06:31):
just it wouldn't vie, you know, I kind of got
dumped onto somebody else. And so you know that was
just like like in the projects, you know, the dorms
just felt like it was just like, you know, just
like where we at.
Speaker 7 (06:44):
They messed up bang.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
So come to Tech. I felt.
Speaker 5 (06:47):
I literally went to Tech like the following week or
something like that. You know, QB was real fresh in
my mouth, you know. And then Reggie hosted me, you know,
screwed me up in the in the Holly Davis truck.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
Yeah yeah, yeah, around campus and all. And it slip
like flirt like I'm saying, not like that, you know
what I'm saying, like you come like extra.
Speaker 6 (07:11):
Clean the word.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Or like, ain't no flirt.
Speaker 7 (07:22):
Ed up. I got a clean cut, got your man.
Speaker 5 (07:29):
But you know, Reggie, we had a good time. Man,
had my first experience, you know, with cannabis, and it
wasn't that Reggie put it on. I always wanted, you know,
I was curious, you know, so that was dope. It's
awesome experience. You know, I got to hang out with
all the you know the dudes on the team, you
know the dudes like the starter. Yeah, live with those
guys and you know those guys taking in and stuff
(07:49):
like that. So it was a whole totally different vibe.
You know, the guys were accepting and all that. I
was like, yeah, I like to feel comfortable here, and
so it's really that man.
Speaker 7 (08:00):
Shout out.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
We can't share that story enough. I'm telling you, Holmes,
Liaisons get it right. You don't even know what you
were doing. But the ll CLL.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
And the Lions played the package yesterday, bro, not over
Thursday Thanksgiving.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
They run together to them, Yeah, you ain't.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Lying when when you on Wednesday, after Wednesdays, Sunday, every
day after that feels like Saturday, man Detroit. I just
felt like they were finn win every time. Shout out
to Jodan Love, bro Joan Love. He played good, like
you can't take nothing away. He he won that game.
Speaker 6 (08:48):
Has always been a good player to me.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
I feel like I've always looked at him as a
quarterback that's like up and coming to be top contender
as a quarterback, like like personally.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
See the potential. But it seemed like he never put
it together.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
You don't be having He was like that too though ball.
But now now them guys catching though man Washington. Huh
number nine Watson, that's watching in weeks.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
Like number he's a big, big play guy for him.
Speaker 7 (09:19):
Yeah that number thirteen, yeah, number thirteen.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
Well he catched that ball.
Speaker 7 (09:23):
Yeah that was on some fourth down.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
Huh. I like, I like Dobbs too. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
So I think they now they missioned as a receiving
core with him.
Speaker 5 (09:34):
I think, you know, he's got to finish. He got
to show us he could finish the season.
Speaker 4 (09:37):
You know. I think he said was this is his
third fourth year start.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
I think it's third.
Speaker 6 (09:41):
I think it's third.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
Aaron Rodgers, Yeah, this is his third year start. Cause
you remember Aaron Rodgers went to the Jets. He was
in just two years.
Speaker 5 (09:49):
Now he would still he had a solid first year
started second year was man, and now you know he's
got to put it together here, right, he.
Speaker 6 (09:55):
Got this year next year to like really be all right.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
I mean I like that.
Speaker 4 (09:58):
So I like the situation there.
Speaker 5 (10:00):
I mean they got Parsons I hated for us, and
they did that right before the first game of the season.
Was like I was going to that game, first game
the season against Green Bell like, oh we got this
and that trade happened.
Speaker 6 (10:10):
I was like, it isn't you. It wouldn't only win,
It didn't only just hit you.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
Trust me?
Speaker 6 (10:16):
Oh my god, diehard go Cowboys? What what?
Speaker 2 (10:20):
It depends on the week. Call she like him sometimes?
Speaker 8 (10:22):
Yeah, she liked my homes last week.
Speaker 2 (10:27):
Yeah, you took the chief the Cowboys.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
So when we're betting, it's different. But you don't bet
against my homes. But I see you can't this this
this season because they.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Is pool Hey number three picking chicken now we all
could like.
Speaker 7 (10:44):
I guess stuff Cee Lamb or picking damn.
Speaker 4 (10:49):
I mean the way Pickens playing right now?
Speaker 2 (10:51):
Man?
Speaker 5 (10:51):
And see he stepped it up too, though he did.
I think having Pickings there forced him to step his
game up as well.
Speaker 6 (10:58):
Sick one. We know it's Pickings.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
It's okay, man, I mean he crazy. Ain't nothing scare
you about.
Speaker 6 (11:09):
Wait a minute, Pickings ain't done nothing crazy this year
this season.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
He posted the goddamn wife on Instagram last week.
Speaker 7 (11:18):
I was that was that was a hack?
Speaker 2 (11:21):
That was.
Speaker 6 (11:23):
I didn't get to see it. I didn't get to
see it.
Speaker 7 (11:25):
Are you the only person in America, seeing that you're
trying to photo shop.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
Talking ship the whole city of Philadelphia.
Speaker 6 (11:32):
Matter of fact, let me see your phone, hold on
put this.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
While let me tell you all, bro Pickings, this is
the difference between Piggins and a lot of a lot
of other players. And why I say that Pickings won't
that ship like when the game on the line. He
wants you throwing his weight.
Speaker 7 (11:47):
He like, man that.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
Ship when he's about the man leaped over all the
damn god. But you know, I gotta frame that ship.
Speaker 3 (11:55):
I was sitting, I was talking, and somebody said, Uh, Pickins,
quick to get the cat.
Speaker 6 (12:00):
That's hard to catch. But it was a red glass catch.
He ain't catching it or it's hard for him to catch.
Speaker 7 (12:09):
When the game on the line, give it, Pickings.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
Throw that motherfucker the ball.
Speaker 6 (12:12):
If I'm picking.
Speaker 3 (12:13):
If I'm picking, Pickings or c D give it the pickings.
Speaker 7 (12:18):
See because CD dropped some ship that.
Speaker 6 (12:20):
You like in the on in the end zone, wide
open het him in the chest.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
I ain't gonna all the games were good as hell
Thanksgiving except that damn Baltimore and Cincinnati.
Speaker 6 (12:31):
I'm gonna sleep on that smoking.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
Joe is back and watch out for him, bro.
Speaker 7 (12:43):
Bob, I said, I said, Bob.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
Somebody saying on Twitter they said zero m vps, zero
super bowls, uh zero something else in seven nicknames.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
They done gave Joe Burrow every nickname he could get
hold on. Now, he did go to Super Bowl one time.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
Then no, he went to the Super Bowl Bengals against
the one time.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
At least they played the Rams that year. They definitely lost. Yeah, yeah,
he went against the room. Come on, man, but good bro,
help Yeah he made him not be good.
Speaker 7 (13:17):
Yeah, he just be hurt.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
Hurt him and jam is just a problem. I'm glad
you Jamar. I gotta make apology. Bro, I've been saying,
justin Jefferson to be receiving the league. If you watched Jamar,
you can't say.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
That she got your boy. You can't have all.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
Your brain cells and say something like that, like people
start thinking, I'm on the spectrum.
Speaker 7 (13:42):
Just like that. That's my favorite.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
When you got your quarterback, Bro, that's how good this
ship looks. That's how it happened.
Speaker 7 (13:48):
Jefferson ain't had no QB that he could besh it
to that.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
You're right, that's why. Yeah, So that's why it's.
Speaker 5 (13:55):
Why they got rid of Donald go to and I'm
biased because I don't like Michigan. My wife being missed
state here, but that party real, you know, but I don't.
Speaker 4 (14:04):
I thought that was a bad move.
Speaker 7 (14:06):
Robert crazy at they house.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, she'd be talking about tick. Uh
it's big ten.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
Still, Like with Michigan if he's saying Michigan Michigan State,
like it's what I'm saying. Like with the Jordan and
Jordan Tech like she talked ship by tich or she
on his shode thing.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
Okay, that's hard. Yeah, but my cart an I never
thought it was.
Speaker 7 (14:35):
He ain't showed you nothing. Sometimes you gotta go with
what's working.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
Show me the man. I said the same thing. I
got a great team around him in college. He didn't
showed me in college. That was a good AD team,
that was a good ASD team in college. He ain't
really showed me nothing in college. Hey what's that? Yeah,
what's the Michigan Ohio State score? We got a score?
Speaker 1 (15:00):
Uh yeah, we're watching that live as we speak. If
Ohio State, Ohio State were already saying them against Indiana, Michigan, yeah,
they ain't gonna beat them with no field goals though,
you gotta you gotta score on you gotta score on
Ohio State. You got if you got a team down
like that, go ahead and bear ship.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
Same story for us yesterday.
Speaker 7 (15:19):
Yeah, when you and that in the red zone and
stuff like.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
That, that's the that's the difference. They scored a touchdown
we did.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
Still talking about that Bengals game, Bro, I'm watching Lamar.
Speaker 7 (15:30):
Yeah, there's no identity on that team, man.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
And when I say no identities, like don't look good.
Speaker 6 (15:37):
They don't know how to play.
Speaker 3 (15:39):
They have they have a great team, like on paper,
but when they go on that field, Bro, it's like,
where is the chemistry at.
Speaker 2 (15:46):
Like he's just a freak of nature.
Speaker 1 (15:48):
Bro. When I say that, like you don't know what
you're gonna get out of him. But yeah, if you
playing around him where you got Garrett hearing, their hearing
might break and run for sixty yards and then they
come back doing I.
Speaker 6 (16:00):
Think they had like five turnovers or something.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
Oh yeah, Ship, that don't help.
Speaker 4 (16:04):
They had at least four.
Speaker 3 (16:08):
Lamar his last three games, no touchdowns, three interceptions to
fumbles lost, and eight sacks.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Bro. He hold on to the bottom.
Speaker 6 (16:17):
Six of them was probably.
Speaker 7 (16:19):
Sometimes receivers fourteen he was damn tapped down.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 7 (16:25):
Cincinnati kept trying to run that drunk at this point.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
That should have like like, yeah, you know they run
first play action.
Speaker 4 (16:33):
You know, they just it's built in.
Speaker 5 (16:35):
You know, you got Bowers cross in the middle of
the field, you got baitther Bateman or something.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
You got receivers.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
Yeah, they got likely you know, it's tight end and
likely fumbling the end zone.
Speaker 4 (16:47):
Oh, that was bad. That was that's that's a bad feeling.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
That's a bad feeling because he had fault for that ship.
Speaker 4 (16:52):
That's a bad feeling.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
Take your head down, yeah, boy.
Speaker 5 (16:58):
But it must be I'm thinking, and it gotta be
some inconsistency with the old line because you know sometimes
there carry might go off and then sometimes they just
lamar can't get to pass off to your point, some
of them self inflicted hold on the boss.
Speaker 6 (17:10):
Yeah, they have a lot of turnovers though.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
Oh show that what was that first six career games
JaMarcus Russell one thousand, fifty one passing yard, McCarthy nine
twenty nine total touchdown Russell five, McCarthy six interceptions, MacArthur
got ten.
Speaker 7 (17:30):
So JaMarcus Russell.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
Three, they doing it like that, and JaMarcus Russell had
a slightly better completion percentage.
Speaker 7 (17:37):
And MacArthur got better receivers.
Speaker 5 (17:40):
Those are the movies get you fired right there, Jettison,
go on, Darnald, good cars.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
That kind of stuff get you fired. Yeah, good car.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
Cause you could have franchised tagged that boy one more
year till you figure it out straight up.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
Okay, So before this season, the longest Justin Jefferson had
ever gone without one hundred yards.
Speaker 6 (17:59):
What did it say? It was four games in a row.
Now he hasn't top eighty yards six straight weeks.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
And Joe, what you're saying that, Look, it's cool if
he not doing that, and then you will see it
go to Addison or somebody like that. Nobody else is
getting y'all this motherfucker not throwing at nobody.
Speaker 7 (18:19):
And one thing you're like, oh no, that's because Jefferson
taking away. You know what I'm saying, the defender.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
Ain't nobody got nobody in the damn bo MacCarty, don't
give a damn man. And then them targets be madding too.
Shout out to Chicago, bro fall bro oh Ben Johnson, Hey,
let him get away.
Speaker 7 (18:40):
Hey, Bro, Chicago, Calvin, Reggie, Joe.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
I never knew so many people with Chicago, Bellfoan, They
coming out the woolwork.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
Bear Down, y'all ain't never saying that ship doubt. Matter
of fact, bar Down was fucking Arizona or some ship
or that's.
Speaker 7 (18:57):
What they've been saying for a while.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
You know what what I'm saying what they say, But
I ain't heard the ship.
Speaker 7 (19:04):
Heard, Bro, They all don't lie. Hanang gonna see it.
Speaker 6 (19:09):
Man, it's bear Down.
Speaker 7 (19:10):
That's what you gotta think when the last time they've
been able to say it.
Speaker 6 (19:12):
That's true too.
Speaker 7 (19:15):
Literally, Oh yeah, they beat the Eagles. A J.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
Brown had ten cages, one hundred and thirty two yards
and two touchdowns and another.
Speaker 5 (19:22):
He should be right after in my mind, right after
my man, we're just talking about Yeah, real, that guy's good,
That that dude's talented was the fuck.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
I would have. That's what we need.
Speaker 7 (19:35):
Ball Man talking so much ship about A J.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
Brown.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
But he don't get the rock. They don't get them
into rock enough. I mean, yeah, they got.
Speaker 5 (19:42):
The crazy, but throw the ball up. This dude makes
plays when the balls in there. He gets separation, He
got good routes. He don't make a ton of separation.
He does run a couple of good routes, but he
makes plays when the balls in.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
The skin and slant and go, that's it. That's all.
Run him on slants, run him on goals.
Speaker 7 (19:58):
He can't be stop body.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
He's gonna body you all, just like I did.
Speaker 4 (20:02):
Just by.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
Okay, damn well.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
This season, his skill level in general, I mean, like
as far as like somebody I see like myself that
has all the skill that can put everything together. He
can put everything together.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
Ain't no no intermediate routes are not like yours. Bro.
He doesn't get out of everything crispy, but he can
do it.
Speaker 4 (20:27):
I've seen it. I've seen it.
Speaker 5 (20:27):
I've seen it. He don't get the rock like he should.
That's my frustration. I understand his frustration. Yeah, do all
this crazy stuff with the books and all.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
That, but we might have that book upside down.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
As far as the skilled ball in the air.
Speaker 6 (20:49):
But when he did get in, he had a good game.
They lost. It's just like playing.
Speaker 1 (20:57):
They're not playing team ball because when I say ship,
they're not getting everybody involved though, and that but that
to his defense, he's been saying that since the beginning
when they was winning, it was somebody gonna figure this
simple ass ship out soon, and when they did not, look.
Speaker 3 (21:12):
That's what I'm saying, like you was it was a
lot of you know, hoop lied in the beginning.
Speaker 5 (21:17):
My favorite player from that game last night when two
six he messed up the push, Oh yeah, you you
want to play? I was like, finally somebody wrecked that ship.
You got to stripped them all about it there right there.
Speaker 1 (21:29):
Yeah, Bears got a good defense. Shout out to Bayer
your boy Gardner Johnson and I like that line.
Speaker 2 (21:37):
My task went east side.
Speaker 1 (21:39):
Yeah, balling man, that was a good game, though, I
don't know, it's some sometimes i'd be liking Philadelphia fans.
Speaker 7 (21:48):
You be wanting them to lose something.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
They talked so much ship the worse fans. Yeah, just mean.
Speaker 6 (21:55):
You think they're the worst.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
Yeah, like playing wide off the field over there. Yeah,
he was like, I also hurt. I was almost in tears.
Speaker 9 (22:07):
Hurt, like y'all wanted that they have they cruel to
their own team to you said, yeah, they turned on.
Speaker 7 (22:14):
Him yesterday they beat Santa Claus.
Speaker 2 (22:18):
Remember, Yeah, they.
Speaker 7 (22:23):
Different for real.
Speaker 6 (22:24):
They's got a jail in the stadium.
Speaker 4 (22:26):
That's straight up.
Speaker 7 (22:27):
So you said you got you said Jamar Chase, you
said A J.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
Brown.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
I ain't saying did you know what I'm saying? But
some five with your favorite receiver.
Speaker 5 (22:37):
Justin one hundred percent. I like my man out in
l a young man. He's getting hurt. Pooka, Yeah, Pooker,
I like him. He gotta he gotta. He got a good,
good skill set. Neighbors. You know that kid, he's young,
but dude.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
With the giant pious town Yeah, leaving Now, who's my
number two for.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
The temple? Oh your boy Ohio State?
Speaker 5 (23:03):
Yeah, that kid is balling in obviously, my man out
in saying Seattle that's having.
Speaker 4 (23:08):
A hell of a year right now.
Speaker 7 (23:10):
Smith and Jackson Smith like there's like a.
Speaker 5 (23:12):
Frame like to like, I feel like the ideal receiver,
like you like six one is and you like untouchable
kind of the line. You're shifty, you know some of
those guys kind of fit that Bill Man. You can
make it's hard. You could be unstoppable if you can
put it all together.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
You brought up hooker out there in l A. How
it is to see Matthew Stafford still like getting it in.
Speaker 5 (23:35):
Matthew playing so smooth. It's like everything's coming easy to
him right now. Yeah, you know it's he don't I
mean stress less out there. That's how he looks.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
Like he's seen it all and.
Speaker 2 (23:49):
Like really good VP.
Speaker 5 (23:50):
Yeah yeah, I mean the way he's playing right now
with that team.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
Is playing right now, they're leading us the favorite to
win the Super Bowl, right yeah, I don't know, Yeah,
I agree. I can't disagree with that.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
Remember own two games that overtime lost and yeah, and
that block that block field goal, which they should come.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
On, they can easily. They two plays away from being underfeeded.
Speaker 4 (24:11):
Drake May.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
I didn't see New England. I didn't see that happening
at all. That that that structure, coach, the coach, the culture. Bro.
You know, they're not gonna be sorry for a long time.
Go ball with the culture.
Speaker 7 (24:27):
Come on, now, come on, I don't put my boy
on the culture where.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
Shout out to.
Speaker 6 (24:33):
The word is officially banned.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
Man, the word culture not notice though, bro, because you
you know, like the culture is important.
Speaker 7 (24:43):
Oh yeah, facts, yeah.
Speaker 2 (24:45):
And he just kept he kept re emphasizing that ship for.
Speaker 7 (24:48):
Everything we brought up against every culture.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
Westbrook Okay, see culture culture, Jeff Gordon, Nascar culture, he's.
Speaker 7 (25:01):
Gonna bring it up.
Speaker 6 (25:03):
Look, look.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
If this mother for the same culture a gig.
Speaker 7 (25:14):
Man we had, we.
Speaker 1 (25:15):
Had a good ass got their episode with him, Man,
I gotta I gotta get that in the props to
after watching that Thanksgiving.
Speaker 3 (25:23):
Balling, And I want to say this too, like all
of a sudden, right, I'll be hearing a lot of
people that I never I never didn't like Dallas. I
never said that Dak was we was sorry. I never
said that. I just I just don't like the fans,
That's all I was saying. I always like Dallas. Shut
your ass up. Know you haven't stay your ass where
(25:45):
you at, whatever team, stay over there, because what think
about everybody? If Dallas come and on the Lions on Thursday,
y'all can't tell me ship I'm coming into this, My
face gonna be painted.
Speaker 6 (25:58):
I'm gonna face paint my mother for the face.
Speaker 1 (26:01):
That's how women do down. You were just right the
motherfuckers off a month ago. You ripped your Dallas cowboy.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
Jersey and you I still got that motherfucker.
Speaker 1 (26:13):
Piece that ship together. I'm you made me mad that day.
How they're doing the relationship.
Speaker 6 (26:18):
That's how. Don't act like when your team don't make
you know.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
You already know.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
Anytime you see Jerry double Chin hanging, that nigga happens. Mhm.
Speaker 2 (26:30):
To beat the Eagles and Chiefs, both teams that was
in the Super Bowls back to back looking good.
Speaker 1 (26:35):
We're back man, Jerry looking like a mastermind though. The
train for pickings and now that defense clicking with you
got Quinn Williams.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
Come on now, if they beat Detroit League in trublet
because all your friends fanna be having on face painting ship.
So if they beat Detroit bro it's gonna be bad
for the league, and that I think is gonna be
bad for all sports outlets.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
I'm gonna say this, though, if you like the Cowboys,
if you love them, stay the way you are when
y'all start, when everybody start doing all that and get
behind them, don't say that SB word. Don't say that word.
You say that word, it seemed like that it does
something to them.
Speaker 2 (27:22):
They died, they died, and start saying Michael j Yeah,
my boy, don't be hearing that drum like an IRV.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
Naw for real, who you got going to the Super
Bowl right off the top. Okay, if you if you had.
Speaker 2 (27:37):
To think today, if I'll easily go with Brams.
Speaker 5 (27:42):
I mean I was obviously said Troy, but we're just
not looking great right now. But the way the Rounds
are playing, I'll say they represent the NFC and from
the a f C.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
Dang, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (27:52):
I really don't know for that one. Uh you got
on over there, the Coats Coats, I would let's jump.
I would love to see New England and Drake Maye
just surprised the hell.
Speaker 4 (28:06):
Out of everybody.
Speaker 2 (28:08):
Yeah, I don't know if you're gonna be able to
sustain beat the.
Speaker 7 (28:11):
Dog ship out they as the Super Bowls, but you
can't count.
Speaker 2 (28:15):
Might be anybody like that. Yeah, that's how good they.
Speaker 6 (28:19):
I would say the Colts, I feel like they got
a better like.
Speaker 1 (28:23):
Ye ride with bow Knicks, Broy.
Speaker 5 (28:28):
Yeah, you know that's home team ship. I've been I've
been hearing coach next every now and then. Man, it's
I love to see that though. That's pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (28:36):
Nicks Both Nicks was a little boy when we were
chech and and Patrick Nicks's dad was my quarterback coach,
so you used to have him around all the time,
Like I literally saw that boy from the ground up
grow up. So that's that's why my way puller for Yeah,
I know you had mentioned that before.
Speaker 1 (28:53):
I just think I think sooner or later, like your
quarterback gonna have to win, win you a real game,
and I think out of all those quarterbacks, I probably
would go with It's crazy to say Daniel Jones.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
Problem, Hey, ain't bad, ain't the most experienced out of
that group too.
Speaker 1 (29:13):
Yeah, because the younger, younger players, you know that playoffs, playoffs,
they say it different.
Speaker 4 (29:20):
I only played in the playoffs twice, but the energy.
Speaker 7 (29:23):
Is different, especially like them away game something you can.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
Feel it's real. Great, it's real. It's a report out
there saying that Aaron Donald may be considering returning.
Speaker 7 (29:34):
I think it's.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
Yeah, there's so many them things that come out mantil
you hear from you. By that one.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
They used to say that about you a lot of times,
and I never know, but you never came out denied
or or confirmative.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
But I'll never know.
Speaker 4 (29:49):
I don't.
Speaker 5 (29:49):
I don't be doing it on social anywhere. Yeah, I
was messed up, like, great.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
What you got.
Speaker 1 (29:57):
You know anything? Even we get we're been doing this
ship when they talk about like the best receivers, do
do you like think they don't. I ain't gonna say
because they mentioned you, but they say, like, you know
how you say that Jared Rice, the terrell Ons, and
you know, like when you say those names with the
(30:17):
Randy Moss, Like, do you think like they don't say
your name enough because of the years.
Speaker 5 (30:24):
Yeah, they always give me stuff because of that. But yeah,
I mean for me it's nothing. Man, I was first ballot,
so for sure that says enough right there.
Speaker 1 (30:33):
Yeah, and you want to in your prime, I mean
that's what everybody's saying.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
My prime, like prime for receivers years like three four five.
Speaker 5 (30:44):
Man and a guy and the receiver can sustain like
my thing. When I came into the league, I said,
I want to play for ten years.
Speaker 2 (30:51):
I want to you know, you had it already.
Speaker 5 (30:53):
I want to leave an impact, you know. I want
to have like ten thousand yards. You know, it's just
one thousand yards a year, you know, which is a
solid thing, you know. And you know my first year
I had like, you know, seven or eight hundred yards
somewhere in there. Second year had like thirteen hundred yards,
So I was on pace. Yeah, you know, if I
had those goals, you know, little things like that. I
played nine, I had eleven. I had you know, after
my eighth year, I had ten thousand yards. I hit
(31:14):
my goal, and I was like, man, I almost thought
about retiring.
Speaker 4 (31:17):
After that year, you know.
Speaker 5 (31:19):
And it's just because my body though, Like the body's
just like when guy you see it, like guys that
just like go and go hard like this.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
The NFL ain't for real, ain't for real long. Yeah,
you know.
Speaker 1 (31:29):
I'm talking about every time he was catching rich it
was like they were trying that.
Speaker 2 (31:34):
Something was taking account.
Speaker 5 (31:36):
Like I'm telling here to forty, you know, I'm six
five to forty out here doing all this ship like
five I ain't know two hundred pounds eighty five pound
dude when this ship. So it's the wear and tear
on the knees and shit like that is really my ankles.
But I told myself when I just when I can't
have the impact, you know, it's not the impact that
everybody else is like the impact how I feel? Oh
(31:57):
I got and so my last my eighth year, I
was like, dog like, this ship is just fucking taxing.
I went home after the season. I was like first
thing smoking after every season, I go home.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
I sit on my dad's couch and I was like, man, Dad,
I think I'm done, Like I just don't have this
shit ain't fun no more.
Speaker 5 (32:12):
It's just hurt. And he's like, it's simple. It's so simple.
He was like, you think you do it one more time?
And I was sitting there thinking about it. And as
I was thinking about before, I can't even say anything.
I was about to say something, and he was like, well,
while you thinking about it, you probably do it one
more time.
Speaker 2 (32:26):
So I was like, all right, So I went back
one more year. I knew it was my last year.
Speaker 5 (32:30):
Funny thing, I was telling all my teammates they would
never believe me, and I was like, man, I'm about
to retire. There's a couple of guys retired that year.
I forgot who all was. I know Kobe was one
of them. I retired like them dudes. You know, nobody
believe me. But it was just my for me. You know,
I didn't have the pop, you know, I didn't have
to go. It hurt, like the whole off season to train,
to do all the things that I knew I needed
(32:51):
to do to get ready for the season. Like I
had a whole little off season things that I would do,
and I knew that if I could, you know, I
have thresholds to clear to know that I'm right, I'm
good to go for the season, you know, because I
knew what it took to you know, you know, do
what I had to do for the whole season. And
when it got to the point where I just like
hurt to push through those things and get to those thresholds,
I just like, this ship ain't fun no more, you know.
Speaker 4 (33:11):
And that was the point when I was.
Speaker 2 (33:13):
Like, you remember running into me downtown Detroit, what's up?
And we had this conversation in the middle of the road.
He remember that was up when we ran into each
other in Detroit and I got out and the road talking. Yeah,
he was like, dog, I'm hurting, I'm hurting. That was
like two years before you retired. I kept that ship
to myself for all the years. Yeah, two years before
(33:35):
you were retired. In the middle of the street, was like, man,
I'm hurting. You know.
Speaker 5 (33:38):
Funny thing, Matthew after all, like starting like years six
and seven, he was after season, he was.
Speaker 4 (33:44):
Like, Hey, I don't even think about it.
Speaker 2 (33:48):
My dog.
Speaker 5 (33:48):
They didn't know the work, they know the load, you know,
just like, don't even think about it, Like, don't leave
me out here by myself.
Speaker 2 (33:54):
I was like, I would have been a couple of years, man,
it was.
Speaker 5 (33:58):
And then it's tough losing too. That shit wear on
you too, you know. But we're fortunately there in my
last couple of years, you know, my last you know,
I think my last four years, we probably made the
playoffs like two out of those four years, so that
we were competitive at the time, and then they deconstructed
the team on top of that, you know, getting rid
of all our dolls on defensive line.
Speaker 2 (34:15):
I'm just like, Lord got robbed in Dallas. That Dallas.
That was robbery.
Speaker 5 (34:21):
Yeah, I mean, but just like we were talking about earlier, man,
it's always we always get I mean, Detroit get the holes, man,
we get the hose. We play in Georgia all the time.
Speaker 1 (34:29):
Right about that, I'm glad, like you said it from
your point of view, because, like you know, from a
fan point of view, it was like, bro, what the
hell is going on in Detroit because like you know,
they put it with the Bearry Sanders, you know, how
you retired in this front, like bro, what the fuck
are they doing to the playoffs up now? But it's
like what you saying it like it was like your
own goal. It never was about I.
Speaker 4 (34:49):
Tried not to say it.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
Yeah, it's a culture thing, though I tried to shut out.
Speaker 5 (34:55):
Oh Ma, like look at Detroit before Dan Campbell, Cane
and win Dan Campbell can look at Georgia Tech before
Brent Kee was here and now that he's here.
Speaker 2 (35:07):
I mean that has a lot to do with it, doll.
Speaker 5 (35:08):
And the reason why is because you got a head
guy that played ball, he gets it. But then he
got coordinators, he got position coaches that played ball who
get it. Now you got guys up under him. I
was fortunately cause I had a guy in Sean Jefferson.
Speaker 4 (35:21):
I played thirteen years.
Speaker 5 (35:22):
You get buy in from your dudes when you got
guys and the being where they want to go. And
that's what these coaches are putting around these guys. So
it's easy for these guys to want to buy in.
And when they buy in, it's just a matter of
time before that thing click.
Speaker 4 (35:33):
And then you're on the upper trajectory.
Speaker 1 (35:35):
Gotcha, that makes sense. But they just like he Mega
trun retire that like at the time.
Speaker 2 (35:43):
Like what, oh yeah, the lead shout of every play,
you going at your max and like you say, he
get double the trip forty two and forty pounds running
the flow three every goddamn play Bridge, I bet you.
Speaker 5 (35:58):
Though, if the rules were like there were today, though,
oh you you would have did twenty guys can't can't
touch you after five yards dragon foks down field. I'm like, man,
what was the rules like that?
Speaker 2 (36:07):
You know even in college ten years down? You know
now you know when the quarterback is outside the pocket,
it's free game. You can just tag off on whatever
receiver downfield, not beyond five yards. Remember the NC State
used to do your ass bad love, but that's been
happening since college. Bro.
Speaker 1 (36:26):
Look at this, bro right, look at this like the man, Yeah,
I did this with pride, Like my pride went like man,
you got.
Speaker 8 (36:38):
Them boys out there like over here, wou where you knew?
Like calm, like.
Speaker 2 (36:50):
Oh this man, our first summer, bros. He made it.
I always it's just one play. And I doubt you
remember because you used to do this ship all the time.
We running a go route or a fade route, and
this is when we had the fields. Laterally, because of
summer campt they got to protect the middle of the field.
I throw a go route to him. We're going this way.
(37:12):
He dove this way and caught the ball that way.
So again this way and one handed that motherfucker that way.
I looked at Patrick Knicks. I said, oh, yeah, we're good.
From that day on. He's doing that shit in practice
like it's just clockwork. Yeah, one on one. If you
leave him one on one, I don't give a fuck.
(37:34):
Who knows I'm throwing about a twenty one And I
tell him in the hold of a bro your turn,
let's go.
Speaker 5 (37:38):
That would be the funniest thing. It wouldn't be funny
because sometime I'd be tired of shit.
Speaker 2 (37:42):
I was like just that.
Speaker 3 (37:44):
I was like, hey, all right, what team used to
like really give you issues on the field, some college
or lead like defensive.
Speaker 5 (37:54):
Hated playing against the Vikings. That was always a physical game.
Divisional game. Yeah, but that was always the most physical
one because they always had hard hitters and safety. They had,
you know, Darren Sharper at the time when I first
came in there.
Speaker 4 (38:07):
My man Harrison is.
Speaker 5 (38:08):
Harrison Harrison Sam he came He came in right after him,
So it was like no let down. And they always
had like pesky corners that are solid that like to
like ride your coattail and stuff like that.
Speaker 4 (38:19):
And it was always a physical team, you know. And
then they always had.
Speaker 5 (38:22):
A good D line, D line always, you know, they
had the Jared Allens, they had these Williams brothers working today.
Speaker 1 (38:27):
They always had you forget you forget about that ship
random John Randall that they still with a good D
line yep mm hmm, all famous, but you one on one,
it wouldn't never no corners where you thought about, like damn,
I might have.
Speaker 7 (38:40):
To work to.
Speaker 5 (38:41):
Corners that I hated going against were the ones that
were long arm and that like to play a catch
tekn me. I prefer if you're gonna jam, you know,
come be aggressive. I want you to be aggressive. Yeah,
you know, but if you're gonna like you know, stand
like two three yards off and not really try to
get into me, but like fall fall, fall, and then
just you know, born when I could take it, when
I choose a side those ships, that's ups because then
(39:03):
they just you know, like I say, you're riding in court, Kotel, you.
Speaker 7 (39:07):
Were saying your son, your son, any of your sons
in the.
Speaker 1 (39:10):
Sports Man, My eleven and seven year old, they are.
My eleven year old does he's played flag soccer. Soccer
and basketball are his favorite two right now. My seven
year old he does, Uh, he's in flag as well.
He does baseball and soccer.
Speaker 7 (39:24):
You play all the sports.
Speaker 5 (39:26):
Baseball is my favorite sport growing up, like a drafted
out of high school for baseball, baseball with my jam
and then I started playing I got I started playing
football in seventh grade.
Speaker 2 (39:33):
My mam will let me play when I was a kid.
And then yeah, hall of fame. I want that's how
that ship usually be happy?
Speaker 6 (39:41):
Straight up.
Speaker 5 (39:42):
I wouldn't, I guess I wouldn't, you know, hit out,
burnt out, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (39:45):
Yeah, And what you think about these kids nowadays, like
when they're playing from like four and five years.
Speaker 2 (39:51):
Old to high they be looking burned out in high school?
They don't. They don't be done tapped out before high school.
Speaker 5 (39:56):
Yeah, before high you probably saw it coming up our age.
I saw it, you know at our time with guys
is just going NonStop. Now guys are guys are playing
football year round nowadays.
Speaker 4 (40:07):
That's just insane.
Speaker 5 (40:08):
What's really insane is like they when you're playing, When
you're putting your kid in a sport and you're playing
a year round and not allowing them to play other sports.
I think that's where you become well rounded. You know,
there's definitely traits from other from different sports that can
translate into you know, whatever it is.
Speaker 2 (40:24):
You really want to know what you think.
Speaker 6 (40:25):
Is a good age to start, Like fall sport.
Speaker 5 (40:29):
I mean, I mean, play baseball, all that, soccer, those things,
you know, play them young, but football contact sports like that,
like big contact sports.
Speaker 4 (40:37):
My mom ne me plays because you.
Speaker 5 (40:38):
Thought like playing young, you know, you just want to
you know, put a little size on you know, that
was her big thing for me. But you know, play
all the you know, non contact sports. You know, put them,
put them in a little bit of everything. You know,
let them see what they like. You know, Like I say,
skill sets from different sports translate, you know. For me,
you know, playing baseball, you know, tracking the ball, you
know as a receiver, you know, a little basketball, you know,
(41:00):
body position, you know what I'm I wish I played soccer,
would have had better footwork probably, you.
Speaker 7 (41:04):
Know, hmm, what's some of your best memories?
Speaker 2 (41:07):
Do you know? Reggie Bob being your QB one at
Georgia Tech. I just think about all the time to
what he was just saying.
Speaker 5 (41:13):
Man, Reggie is looking at me in the huddle and
he just put it on me like, hey, big fellaws
coming to you.
Speaker 1 (41:19):
I just like, you know, how the time tired? I
be gassed. You know, I'm just like all right, But
because you was a block and receiver too, though, Yeah,
That's what I'm saying, Like every like all across the
board you checked off.
Speaker 5 (41:33):
But you know the favorite thing about Reggie, man, it
was just that you know, if I'm when he breaks
the pocket, you know, I know where he looking and
he wasn't afraid to throw it up. And you know,
because he trusts me, he put the ball up. You
know it's either my ball or nobody's ball.
Speaker 3 (41:46):
And you said, like you be tired, Like your body
be tired, your mental be tired.
Speaker 6 (41:50):
So when you be feeling like that, how is it?
How do you tap into Like, No, I gotta go
in there and get it.
Speaker 4 (41:55):
You do it in practice. You gotta have it.
Speaker 5 (41:57):
Yeah, you gotta have it when you're in the game.
You know you kind of like kind of blame, you know,
you you have those dots in the huddle. But then
you know, once you break that huddle, you know, you
just kind of get back in that zone, you know.
But if you don't do it in practice, then that
ship just don't click over like that in the game.
Speaker 6 (42:11):
Practice.
Speaker 1 (42:11):
Man, that's a clip that these high schoolers, middle school anybody, Bro,
they be thinking they could.
Speaker 6 (42:17):
Chill in practice.
Speaker 1 (42:19):
It's some kids they play hurt And I said, I said, Bro,
if you don't, I said, practice wouldn't make it. We
don't really be doing nothing in practice, I said, bru
it trains you for the fourth quarters when everybody tired.
Speaker 7 (42:31):
You not tired because you've been practicing.
Speaker 2 (42:33):
If you're not doing this shit with everybody not watching, bro,
it's not gonna happen. Man, I'm a clip is saying
it's a few of my cousins. Are this Calvin's damn
their best highlight. Okay, yeah, this was similar to that
catch I was trying to explain to you. But just
imagine it being a go rap n C stay third down.
M hm oh look at that. And by the way,
(42:55):
that ball tip that the line that I'm so grateful
it was because twenty seven was about to kill my dog.
He was right there. He was about to kill you. Bro.
Speaker 7 (43:03):
What a what a two to one came from Calvin?
Speaker 4 (43:05):
That's my baseball number.
Speaker 1 (43:06):
Okay, I would have worn in the league and for that,
I mean nowadays, Yeah, you would, you had in Detroit.
Speaker 2 (43:13):
We're going to win this game. I throw a touchdown
pass to Levin Thomas on fourth down. You remember, shout
out the battle? Yeah, you talk every now and then,
just training thing down on the southside, training landscape.
Speaker 6 (43:30):
Yeah, was that a good pass?
Speaker 7 (43:32):
Got tip one?
Speaker 2 (43:33):
They got tipped at the line. But go back, great
and paulses go back, go back. I'm glad he tipped
his ball. Just go back and pause it like right
before Calvin makes that catch if he don't tip it,
but it is going to kill Calvin. So shout out
to the d line. Whoever tip he's waiting on me.
Toll you're right there.
Speaker 7 (43:52):
Yeah, back then they would leave with the held me.
Speaker 2 (43:55):
Like, no, no, no, keep going, keep going. Did Levon
just get right there too? Probably did he stayed with
notorious here Bro downfield, they're gonna knock your head off
right here. Number seven again. Oh yeah, that's letter, Keep
playing letter, keep playing that posit it right, almost.
Speaker 4 (44:17):
Don't want to work so quick.
Speaker 1 (44:19):
Hey, so Ball said he knew before the season started
your freshman year, when did you know, because you said
you just wanted to have a good job after you
got out of college, when did you know, like bron
the bell, Oh, I ain't.
Speaker 5 (44:32):
I mean when I I ain't know I was the
best receiver when I got there.
Speaker 4 (44:36):
But I knew that.
Speaker 5 (44:37):
You know, I was gonna be playing right away when
I got there because this is the way they're using me.
Speaker 2 (44:41):
You know.
Speaker 5 (44:41):
That's like I literally like day one, you know, they're
throwing me the ball downfield against the ones. You know,
I feel like you the mere deep roight on like
you know, it was the butler, like one of them
sidelines butler. And I was like, I was like, okay,
all right, that's for me. That's a big confidence boos,
like all right, I can run with these boys, you know.
And then from and like I say, it just didn't
stop you from that point. It was cool because he
(45:04):
get thrown the fire though, you know it was.
Speaker 7 (45:06):
When did they hit in the league because you said,
you just want to.
Speaker 1 (45:10):
Like what I'm saying, it'd be the players like like
talking to you and listening to you, brother, You're just
so cool about it, like nothing but watching you on
the outside, everybody thought you were the best mother fucking ever.
Speaker 7 (45:24):
Like we don't argue.
Speaker 1 (45:26):
How many time we don't argue when we're talking football
and receivers in yeah about the best, and we always
know that.
Speaker 2 (45:32):
They do not ask me, Yeah, you know who my
number one is?
Speaker 1 (45:38):
Nobody from but ball he saw from advantage point that
we didn't see it. He was like, man, I saw him,
but we watch him from a fan point, like and
we agreeing, but for him to say it's different, but
like when did you see it?
Speaker 5 (45:53):
When I got to the league, it was like my
rookie year, I had a bad injury. I thought I
was fucked up. We're playing Phild and I hurt my
back and I couldn't I was down for like four
or five weeks. I couldn't even like I couldn't run
for like two weeks. I was like, damn. Like when
it happened, I was feeling in my legs on the field.
They that's the one that had to cart me off.
And I literally couldn't feel my legs for like a
(46:14):
whole minute. And then my coach Sean just came over
to the field. He's like, hey, you can get your
ass up, we're gonna walk off this field, and you know,
it came back up. You know, over time, I was
probably out there like a couple of minutes, like five minutes,
and then finally got up, walked off and then they
carted me off the field from there. So my after that,
my rookie year, I was like shit, like it took
me like a good two years to get my back
to feeling good. But my second year, I had, you know,
(46:36):
I'm like twelve or thirteen hundred yards. I was like
all right, you know, I had like either I was
like the top or the second almost, you know, highest
yards in the league that year. And I was like,
all right, I can do this. And then I was
still hurt, you know, so I'm like all right. Third year,
had another injury, and I came like I got I
came up with nine hundred and eighty five yards, like.
Speaker 4 (46:56):
One yard off of my incentive.
Speaker 5 (46:58):
That was some you know, some upstairs cool you know
that that was so you know, so they're playing some
politics in that.
Speaker 2 (47:05):
But after that, you know, it was just.
Speaker 5 (47:07):
Like you know, twelve, thirteen, fifteen, nineteen, you know, just.
Speaker 4 (47:12):
Just knocking them off because I had Matt.
Speaker 5 (47:13):
Matt was fully healthy my fourth year, and then from
that point on, we went like on a five year
streak where we was just you know, killing it.
Speaker 7 (47:19):
What about that record, that record, sating.
Speaker 4 (47:21):
The year, record sating the year?
Speaker 5 (47:23):
Man, that was I didn't even know I was on
pace until about you know, ten games until the year.
Speaker 4 (47:30):
My coach kept on telling me.
Speaker 5 (47:31):
He was like, hey, I think I started the year
like I started a year crazy that you're the coach
was like, hey, man, you're on pace with yours record
this year, and I'm trying to thinkbout I don't dream
think about it.
Speaker 4 (47:40):
I just I just tried to go ball, you know.
Speaker 5 (47:41):
Yeah, he was like, hey, you need you be having numbers.
He's breaking it down, like, hey, you need to average
out one hundred and fifty the rest of the season.
And you got it, and then you know, I was shit.
I probably, I mean obviously did it.
Speaker 2 (47:53):
Yeah. I was having two hundred yard games that year.
Speaker 4 (47:55):
I was having big games, and.
Speaker 7 (47:57):
But you were just playing. You wouldn't even trying to
do that.
Speaker 2 (48:00):
It was just playing me. I was.
Speaker 5 (48:01):
I mean, my guys were hurt so they had to
feed me. You know, that's a tough thing. I remember
my first my rafter my rookie season, they pulled myself
and Roy Williams into the front office, the GM and
the head coaching them. They were just like, hey, this
organization is gonna do anything, go anywhere.
Speaker 4 (48:17):
You guys got to be the thorough Breads that take
us there.
Speaker 5 (48:19):
And Roy Williams got traded off before the season started,
so then it was just like, shit, I was the
only one, you know, And then that was the only
sixteen year on sixteen that year, that shit was tough.
And then we was competing. It was just like we
just couldn't finish. And then next year we drafted Matthew.
Matthews hurt really his whole first two seasons. And then
from that point like I's say.
Speaker 2 (48:40):
Up, damn, that's hard.
Speaker 1 (48:43):
But I'm glad we was able to get your side
of the story because it's like, what the hell, because
it's so many people hated Detroit for that and now
to see them winning and stuff like that, it's goodt
being Matthew Staffers.
Speaker 2 (48:58):
I just about to bring that up, bro. Even during
that and sixteen year, my ACL was touring that year
bro them, people still showed up, They still show love.
They still were packing out the stadium. And I think
the year before the three and thirteen season, the all
the home games were still sold out. So Detroit always
had support and people who were dying for these people
(49:19):
to start winning. So to see the momentum that they
got right now, Man, I'm telling you something. When they're
doing good, it's very hard to play in Detroit. Bro
NFC North tough right now. Anyway though, top to bottom, Yeah,
you got right.
Speaker 7 (49:34):
Top to bottom.
Speaker 1 (49:36):
Even the Vikings, even though they you know what I
mean with they record, they still come out and play
hard at.
Speaker 7 (49:40):
The first couple of quarters, first quarter.
Speaker 5 (49:42):
His flip flop from last year was Usings and now
it's Green Bays.
Speaker 7 (49:47):
Like I think with y'all losing the offensive coordinator and
the defensive coordinator, that don't help defense.
Speaker 2 (49:54):
I mean, I like, I like Chef doing a great job.
Speaker 5 (49:57):
Oh yeah, Cash Chep, she gonna he'll get hit. I mean,
I hope it's a couple of years, but he'll get
him a head coach job at some point. But I
mean the off off offense. Man, if we're not I
mean last year, we probably averaged thirty points a game
at least, you know this year, I mean we had
twenty one. I mean we probably aren't, but I don't
(50:19):
feel like it.
Speaker 7 (50:21):
How you come up with your cannabis brain?
Speaker 5 (50:24):
So yeah, we started that in twenty eighteen, and we
called it primitive because people have been using cannabis for
thousands of years, so by definition, by nature, perimeterive. And
we started the cultivation, added processing, and then added a
retail license in twenty one. So we've been running a
vertical up there since then. And uh, we got like
forty five team members. So I'm like my own head
(50:45):
coach and my team, Like I said, I hate to
do it, but culture is everything.
Speaker 1 (50:48):
Yeah, we got a great yeah because ball said you have.
Speaker 4 (50:56):
It was the host the host ball.
Speaker 2 (50:58):
I brought you some.
Speaker 4 (51:00):
It was dope, the host ball.
Speaker 2 (51:01):
Yeah you wanted more simple?
Speaker 4 (51:04):
My bad.
Speaker 5 (51:04):
Next time I'm down, I got you. I'll be down
in the week or two. So I got cool, but
all right, cool?
Speaker 2 (51:11):
Okay?
Speaker 6 (51:11):
Who gave you the name? Mega Tron?
Speaker 4 (51:13):
Roy Williams.
Speaker 5 (51:14):
I came in the league in O seven, That's when
the first big box movie came out in theaters, Transformers,
and I guess it just came out and you know,
he called me Megatron.
Speaker 2 (51:22):
I was like, is that the bad guy? You know?
Speaker 5 (51:24):
I was like, ain't an optimist poem? You know who
you want to be. But you know, I kind of
thought about it, was like all right, Megatron rings and
then I could be the bad guy to the defense
all day.
Speaker 2 (51:32):
You know.
Speaker 4 (51:32):
I was like, that's cool.
Speaker 1 (51:33):
But the commentators that what they were calling to, so.
Speaker 2 (51:37):
It wasn't George for it was okay, I thought it
was George. George made of sense, big boom bro.
Speaker 7 (51:50):
That's crazy.
Speaker 1 (51:51):
But like it's like that that became like people were
rarely hear say.
Speaker 4 (51:56):
People don't really know my name.
Speaker 2 (51:59):
Yeah, that's hard. Mm hmm, Dan, that's all.
Speaker 7 (52:05):
What's your favorite NFL moment when you think about it?
Speaker 5 (52:08):
Catching the ball in Cincinnati? I love this moment because
I had a touchdown, like sixty yard touchdown on like
three three Cincinnati Bengals.
Speaker 4 (52:20):
It's like pac Man.
Speaker 5 (52:22):
It was like two other it was like three or
four guys down there, but pac Man was in the picture.
Reggie Nelson, somebody got drafted with off h this other safety.
But and then it's so big because Matthew was like mattheware.
Michael Johnson's about sack Matthew too as he's about to
let it go, and uh, that's Michael Johnson. We put
we all played with him here at tech. Oh yeah he.
Speaker 7 (52:44):
Was well, he was good as a mother fucking too.
Speaker 2 (52:47):
He put the hit on Matthew.
Speaker 7 (52:50):
Look at all that was p I right now, all
that's yat.
Speaker 2 (52:58):
Yeah, we see it. You pack two for pack, wasn't it? Really?
Speaker 5 (53:02):
He was in the picture, but he wasn't really on
the I can't get the dunk on like a one
or two.
Speaker 2 (53:05):
But look at this. I was on Reggie's head though
it was three. Yeah, that's three. You like.
Speaker 1 (53:13):
Look if you just typing your name Megatron. Look how
many gift deals and clips.
Speaker 6 (53:20):
So many different games and you still like Bro.
Speaker 2 (53:24):
Tell y'all, man, don't ask me who number one is?
Speaker 4 (53:26):
Bro.
Speaker 2 (53:27):
And all all respect to all receivers, especially one of
the great ones, t Yo Jerry, but yeah, don't ask
me who the number.
Speaker 1 (53:35):
One is, Bro, and cleaned up that for the bad
motherfucker is tough man to hold on.
Speaker 2 (53:44):
Technically fold people right.
Speaker 1 (53:46):
There, Bro, because your player in the damn way technically,
Oh you coming to celebrate.
Speaker 6 (53:55):
Already? Knew already knew. Look at him chilling.
Speaker 7 (53:58):
Yeah, the referee like God, damn boy m look at him.
Speaker 2 (54:03):
That's crazy playing with me. That's hard.
Speaker 5 (54:09):
Yeah, that Matthews, that mother right there. He ain't on
no soft battle. He had no change up at all,
but he gonna put it on you. That The coolest
thing was it was funny to see new guys come
to Detroit and have to make the adjustment. I remember
Golden Tate coming to Detroit, you know, running the slant
rock and then he just not used to that ball,
getting up on you like that and popping your hands
wide open. Matthew, you had that kind of effect.
Speaker 6 (54:31):
Your biggest head.
Speaker 3 (54:34):
I'm just look look heads up and there, look at
how bro Bro what.
Speaker 2 (54:40):
But this is what I'm saying, Like I think we
we're in the era.
Speaker 1 (54:44):
You know what I'm saying. You and I keep bringing
up like you know that Jerry Rice and stuff like that.
But growing up and watching it live, we would see
Mega Tron and Julio. So that's why when we name
receiver it them two receivers. I saw them going live.
Speaker 2 (55:00):
That's one that Julio you don't get.
Speaker 7 (55:06):
He don't get in the same boat.
Speaker 2 (55:08):
Mega tron.
Speaker 7 (55:09):
They don't get you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (55:10):
You think about all the receivers they think about man,
they be showing motherfuckers and gray and white man.
Speaker 7 (55:17):
I don't know what, you know.
Speaker 1 (55:20):
I feel like he took the reins you know once
I love for sure because he he a tall receiver
as well. I mean he's six. All of that you
were talking about. They hand saw how you got your name?
Like what movies that were you watching? Like music you
listen to? Like well, like what what.
Speaker 2 (55:40):
About just period?
Speaker 7 (55:42):
Because like you talk because it's like you're cool as
when I say, like you're cool on this ship, like
you don't trimming about football, like like you don't.
Speaker 1 (55:53):
Get I don't give them about eton. Hey, listen, listen,
listen missing it.
Speaker 2 (56:07):
The funny thing like the drive we took, you know,
you know it's like an hour to you.
Speaker 1 (56:11):
Know, I made that drive all the time I get
there and I realized that.
Speaker 2 (56:14):
Damn I had no music. Oh my god.
Speaker 5 (56:17):
All I'd be thinking about, you know, got business, you know,
got all these things going on, and just trying to
you know, just you know, just thinking about business. You know,
whatever meetings I got, what's whatever? You know, so I
just and then sometimes I might have audio book on
or something like that. I mean, if I'm about to go,
you know, have a good time or something like that.
You know, music selection, you know, I just go to
(56:38):
Spotify and put up you know, my my rap Caviard
and just I got a little.
Speaker 4 (56:42):
Bit of everything on there.
Speaker 1 (56:43):
Miking don Tolliver right now, you give nice.
Speaker 4 (56:49):
Little vibe, Nice little vibe.
Speaker 2 (56:51):
You know what.
Speaker 5 (56:52):
Man been in Nashville a lot, Like I've never been
a country fan. I've been around so much country music lately.
Speaker 1 (57:03):
Get older, getting older, That's what he did.
Speaker 6 (57:07):
He talking about, like, damn, what's the name of whatever?
Whiskey song?
Speaker 2 (57:12):
Uh shabooz.
Speaker 4 (57:15):
That's a I think I know what you're talking about.
Speaker 3 (57:17):
Something something. It sounds like a love song. It's country though,
something whiskey.
Speaker 1 (57:22):
I think how he's saying that, I think every black
man could like agree to this. Sometimes, you bro, you
be at peace when you by yourself like that just
all you need. You don't need no hit on the
loud music. You just like why just to think a
nigga can't think at their house. Sometimes you don't like,
(57:46):
I don't like.
Speaker 2 (57:47):
To tell you what to do.
Speaker 7 (57:48):
Your kids asking you to do you get in that car?
Nobody say, I don't want to think? How am I
feeling that.
Speaker 1 (57:59):
Somebody asked you how you when the last time you
asked the man how they feeling? Joe, I just asked
you what you gotta meaning? You?
Speaker 7 (58:09):
You said it on something? What's up y'all?
Speaker 6 (58:12):
You for not taking.
Speaker 3 (58:15):
Take serious? But nah, don't put me in this to
ask somebody else like when.
Speaker 1 (58:20):
All right, ladies in the comments, when the last time
you asked the man how they do it? And you
you listen to listen to him respond? It cared when
he responded, what if you just be real bottom like man,
just a little stress out of them in paying these
bills last year or two?
Speaker 2 (58:39):
You ain't paid? Ship? You know what you're gonna ask
what we're gonna eat to night? Yeah? So what we
what we in? That's what she's gonna crying and ship
to a face? What were in tonight?
Speaker 1 (58:52):
I ain't gonna lie a nigga real tired right now? Ship,
God damn working y'all.
Speaker 6 (58:57):
That's on y'all.
Speaker 7 (58:59):
No, we're not speaking for we're speaking for the men
in America.
Speaker 1 (59:06):
Sometimes you got you think Martin Luther King he went
to Joel marching for him, You got to march for
other people. So we're talking for the mother onesmen, you
know what, in case somebody watching it. But if they not,
were talking for every nigga the man.
Speaker 6 (59:22):
No, but I'm gonna say that though.
Speaker 3 (59:24):
The driving in silence, that's a thing, and I ain't
talked about enough because I will drive in complete silence
because I got a lot of chaos in my own
damn house.
Speaker 6 (59:34):
Shit and niggas cause chaos.
Speaker 2 (59:36):
Two.
Speaker 1 (59:37):
Okay, we're just saying at a certain age, silence is golden.
Speaker 2 (59:42):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (59:43):
But see look, bro, okay, it's a difference. A woman
could be in the house mad as man like, you're good,
You're good, walk in your house.
Speaker 7 (59:52):
Mad Ain't nobody stopping you. We're wrong with him? He him,
figure it out.
Speaker 2 (59:59):
You got to stop everything you're doing to get the
house back on track.
Speaker 3 (01:00:03):
If she off, you're a preciing right now, right now,
the whole time, he probably was the reason.
Speaker 2 (01:00:13):
That's the true reverse man.
Speaker 1 (01:00:15):
What's your favorite movie, Calvin, favorite comedy movie?
Speaker 7 (01:00:18):
A long time.
Speaker 2 (01:00:20):
Ship, favorite comedy movie. That's that's tough.
Speaker 6 (01:00:25):
Of all time, of all time.
Speaker 7 (01:00:29):
Yeah, I like the Grinch.
Speaker 3 (01:00:31):
Yeah, is that the comedy is doctor with Jim with
With with Jim Carrey.
Speaker 5 (01:00:39):
Daddy cut that out. Cut that out to me. I'm
anch fan. I watched All the Grinches. You gotta watch
them all Christmas.
Speaker 6 (01:00:48):
That's my favorite.
Speaker 3 (01:00:48):
I mean, it's Christmas time now, but that's my movie
all around. But if not, I'm gonna say The Rush Hour,
which one the second one?
Speaker 2 (01:00:57):
Oh yeah, yeah, no, it's hard good.
Speaker 1 (01:01:02):
Yeah, I said the whole are we talked about when
when he walked in that house, he was like, give
me one of the It's just a little stuff.
Speaker 7 (01:01:10):
Chris Tucker was doing that.
Speaker 3 (01:01:12):
It's just like I know the second one too, when
they was tied up in the damn thing.
Speaker 7 (01:01:15):
It's a whole bunch of I think in the second
one he thought Lee died.
Speaker 1 (01:01:19):
Oh yeah, yeah, that's cool. But they say that compared
to life life, Eddie Murphy, Martin Lawd Bernie Man said that, yeah,
that's ships its top tier.
Speaker 5 (01:01:33):
You think life is great. I know, I'm least something out.
I just watched what's his wedding movie with Kevin Hart
Wedding The Wedding Ringer. Yeah, you thought.
Speaker 6 (01:01:44):
That was funny.
Speaker 4 (01:01:44):
That was funny.
Speaker 6 (01:01:45):
Yeah, Kevin heart funny as.
Speaker 4 (01:01:48):
What you think about his last thing.
Speaker 6 (01:01:49):
I didn't get to watch it yet.
Speaker 2 (01:01:50):
It was solid. It was solid, Yeah, very very solid. Yeah,
and watched solid. It was solid, like it just perfect
for the holidays. Solid, like throw this ship on everybody
watch it. It wasn't even that long. It's like an hour.
Speaker 1 (01:02:04):
I'll be saying that Kevin Hart. Kevin Hart gets so
much hate from comedians. I've seen a comedian on Facebook
doing a review on Kevin Hart special.
Speaker 7 (01:02:15):
Motherfucking review your own ship.
Speaker 1 (01:02:21):

Speaker 2 (01:02:26):
He ain't falling off, bro, Yeah, come on, man, And.
Speaker 1 (01:02:29):
He gives so many opportunities to the commedis so that's
the that's right there.
Speaker 2 (01:02:33):
Let long like, don't put him down. Bro.
Speaker 1 (01:02:35):
You already got to go against consumers, you as a
comedian review and his special and you ain't got ship.
Speaker 2 (01:02:41):
Damn.
Speaker 3 (01:02:42):
It's tough as a comedian out here now they be
on your ass.
Speaker 2 (01:02:46):
Yeah you know how that ship goes?
Speaker 1 (01:02:48):
My dog killing sh though, what's your uh? Comedy?
Speaker 2 (01:02:54):
Man? Get overlooked a lot.
Speaker 6 (01:02:58):
Bro, it'd be a lot of like the Little Crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:03:02):
Man Jim Carrey that mother forget he gets overlooked and
not talked about him.
Speaker 6 (01:03:07):
He's one of my favorite actors.
Speaker 2 (01:03:08):
Yeah, I put.
Speaker 1 (01:03:11):
Mask and Jim carried Undid and on different side.
Speaker 6 (01:03:15):
Yeah, Jim carry he and Living Color.
Speaker 1 (01:03:19):
Yeah, it never was like you know what I mean,
just one way and then he pop out doing this
and doing that.
Speaker 3 (01:03:26):
He's been he's been solid. It's a lot of little
crazy little movies out there, though.
Speaker 6 (01:03:30):
Man, I ain't gonna lie.
Speaker 7 (01:03:33):
CP three announced he's gonna retire after this.
Speaker 1 (01:03:36):
Yeah, he had a solid, good top five point guard
of all time.
Speaker 7 (01:03:41):
I think we all could agree.
Speaker 2 (01:03:45):
I love that all you got five in front of
not five. But I just you know how I feel
about Russell Westbrook when when when it comes up, I
think Russell Westbrook being there long as long as a shout.
Speaker 7 (01:04:02):
Magic john say nothing wrong, bad Magic Johnson. I'm not
going to order.
Speaker 6 (01:04:08):
I'm make us put the list out.
Speaker 7 (01:04:10):
Stell magic, Stell Magic c B.
Speaker 2 (01:04:13):
I'm still ain't ranking ship. I ain't ranking ship as
long as Russell Westbrook has talked about. Yeah, Russell Westbrook
in the top in my top five. I'm with y'all.
Just a good room to be in.
Speaker 7 (01:04:22):
So what what's who else would be in at that's
for that we missed.
Speaker 2 (01:04:27):
Oh yeah, Isaiah.
Speaker 1 (01:04:28):
Tom for sure MVP and he got rings not you,
so okay. On the way, it's always like the still
said top five, but like top five point guards.
Speaker 6 (01:04:41):
All time of all time, No a, I it's.
Speaker 2 (01:04:45):
In the point guard everybody.
Speaker 1 (01:04:48):
Anytime I put him in, they say here, shoot guard.
But he definitely uh, he's a bad motherfucker.
Speaker 4 (01:05:02):
Let me ask you something, Cavin.
Speaker 1 (01:05:03):
You think NFL players switch in the basketball is harder
for NBA players NFL?
Speaker 4 (01:05:10):
Which one will be more difficult? I mean you six five.
Speaker 2 (01:05:16):
If you're not.
Speaker 5 (01:05:17):
I mean I feel like the skills set potentially for basketball,
you know, from going from from the football on going
from the field to the court. And I'm not a
great basketball player, but I feel like that could be
a little bit more challenging me if you just got
handles like that. But who really does coming from the
football field?
Speaker 4 (01:05:33):
Now? Can I see more? And you see more.
Speaker 5 (01:05:36):
Basketball players go from you know, basketball to football have
success versus the other way around, to especially tight ends
mm hm. Antonio Gates obviously.
Speaker 2 (01:05:49):
Was a basketball mm hmm no, but it was once
somebody out of Miami.
Speaker 1 (01:05:54):
There you go, like, who was some receivers that you like,
you know why. It was like all like growing up
but you but you kind of started late, so it
was like you.
Speaker 4 (01:06:05):
Really still I was still a fan of the game.
Speaker 7 (01:06:08):
Okay, even before you start playing, you was watching.
Speaker 5 (01:06:10):
Yeah, I wanted to play when I was a kid, Okay, gotcha,
Like you know, I grew up playing little Lee ball
over and dunck And Park and feb because I grew
up in College Park and Paul, so I used to
I played in North Clayton and then played the Duck
and Park over there, and we used to leave duck
and Park and I would always see leaving baseball practice,
would see the fabrine flames, you know, practicing they had these,
(01:06:32):
you know, cool orange jerseys, blue helmets with orange flames
on it. And I just wanted to places because it's
the cool, the cool units, blue plays with the flames
on the pants.
Speaker 4 (01:06:40):
That joint's cool.
Speaker 5 (01:06:41):
Mama's won't let me play when I was a kid, though,
you know, she was like no, She's like maybe when
you're in seventh grade. That's so I couldn't wait for
seventh grade to come around. Seventh grade came around. All
my mama had me out there looking nasty dogs. She
got me some ride deal.
Speaker 4 (01:06:54):
Cleave.
Speaker 2 (01:06:56):
Some boots. Dog.
Speaker 5 (01:06:57):
I was just like, I didn't even want to go
out there because of it. And then on the first
day of practice, we had this forty five degree tackling drill.
This is probably legal nowadays. You know, I'm the running back.
I played running back and cornerback when I first started playing.
So I'm just running down the sideline and big old
de line coming down. Brandon Murphy come down and tackle me.
He's like two hundred pounds. I'm probably like buck something,
you know. So that's first their practice, and I'm like, damn,
(01:07:19):
I really want to do this.
Speaker 2 (01:07:20):
This football is right here.
Speaker 5 (01:07:22):
So I almost quit on my first day, and then
you know, I stuck to it and got me some
better cleats.
Speaker 1 (01:07:27):
Hey, but cal you were saying these kids now, I'm
talking about they looking like they finish go playing the
NFL rips out, spat it up all that like all
them layers me spat it up now, even a sorry one.
Speaker 2 (01:07:41):
I mean that's to be expected though, because.
Speaker 5 (01:07:44):
And the reason why, I mean it was a little
bit like that like back in the day, because i mean,
look at the way media is nowadays.
Speaker 4 (01:07:51):
Skid it all. And then on top of that, you know.
Speaker 5 (01:07:53):
The the the culture in the league or just like
the rules, you know, they're a little bit more relaxed
where guys can allow you to have a little more drilling,
you know, allow you to have like this color coded
you know, the color the same color cleats and the gloves.
Speaker 2 (01:08:05):
He's not allowed us do that.
Speaker 5 (01:08:06):
We have to wear like black cleats and like maybe
blue or black gloves white.
Speaker 4 (01:08:10):
You know, now you can do whatever.
Speaker 5 (01:08:12):
You know, there's a lot more freedom behind ITPEC couldn't. Yeah,
you couldn't even fine.
Speaker 2 (01:08:17):
You get fine for spatting unless you have total socks
and ship.
Speaker 4 (01:08:20):
Yeah, two tones all that. It's be ugly, you know.
Speaker 5 (01:08:24):
Now it's just it's it's one tone sock.
Speaker 2 (01:08:27):
Whatever you want to do now, color you God damn,
I cauldn't wait. Rainbow cleats and ship.
Speaker 1 (01:08:32):
October they getting everybody got the pink spots on all
that type of stuff.
Speaker 7 (01:08:37):
You could do what you want to do, man, they said.
Speaker 1 (01:08:40):
Nico Harrison was spotted out in Dallas after the Lakers
just beat Dallas.
Speaker 7 (01:08:46):
Hey, I'll tell you another thing. ESPN bro, look at
Nico Harrison. Boy, you better get the.
Speaker 2 (01:08:51):
Hell on no, they ran him out the club like that.
Speaker 7 (01:08:54):
No, he probably somebody probably said, you know how them
fans be what?
Speaker 1 (01:08:57):
Bro? ESPN posts that A D and Lebron didn't dap
up each other. Bro, he dapped a D up first.
Somebody had to show the full clip. But it's like,
why would you even put that message out like that?
Speaker 2 (01:09:12):
Man? They need these views, bro, first story in the views. Man,
know what it is? Yeah, but we have doing it though. Yeah,
A D look like he miserable too.
Speaker 4 (01:09:26):
Are they playing good Dallas?
Speaker 2 (01:09:29):
Well?
Speaker 1 (01:09:29):
No, look at look at it ship that that don't
answer your question?
Speaker 6 (01:09:35):
Okay always always.
Speaker 1 (01:09:38):
Yeah, okay, see okay, might break that Golden State record.
Look like I don't see them and they still missing
Jaylen William he come back to night that ship Detroit
Piston's playing good still?
Speaker 2 (01:09:52):
Yeah? Fifteen and four? Oh hell yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:09:55):
Outside of like playing football, How was Detroit for you though?
Speaker 2 (01:09:58):
Like you enjoyed the city?
Speaker 5 (01:10:01):
When I first moved to Detroit, murder capital. You know,
you didn't go downtown. You know, you see tumbleweeves downtown.
It was not the place to be, you know. And
over the last ten years, man, there's been so much investment.
You know, billionaire has been invested in the town. People
have just been invested in real estate. And it's been
a whole flip flop in the culture downtown.
Speaker 2 (01:10:19):
Goddamn. But what it does gravitate, You gravitate towards.
Speaker 5 (01:10:26):
That, you know, when things are going well and Detroit
being the town that it is a heavy sports town
and them moving all the sports back downtown. They moved
football back downtown, they moved.
Speaker 2 (01:10:35):
Basketball back to Town and Arbor or.
Speaker 4 (01:10:39):
Auburn Hills.
Speaker 5 (01:10:40):
You know, they had it up there all bringing all
those things back downtown and brought a bunch of jobs
downtown and brought people back downtown with all the investments.
And you know, the restaurant see is great. You know
you see white people walking their dollars at night. You
know when you see that, you know, yeah, things coming
back around. And then we had the Draft. When we
had the Draft, I think that was a we got
an a on our report card and people really got
to see Detroit in different light at that time.
Speaker 2 (01:11:02):
That was at the Fox. What was it at the
Fox with the draft? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:11:05):
Man, the Draft was everywhere in Detroit. They had like
they had so many different locations. But the main thing
was on campus Marshes and like, I ain't never seen
that many people in one.
Speaker 4 (01:11:14):
Spot in my life. It's like four hundredousand people.
Speaker 1 (01:11:16):
I love the enforced gentrification on you. I'm walking down
Gresham Road. I said, y'all white, but let us start
start changing when you see that anytime they start a
bike lane, Oh, Nigga.
Speaker 7 (01:11:35):
Is on the way.
Speaker 2 (01:11:36):
It's on the way bike lane for Shore Troy. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:11:40):
I don't been, uh you not in the last five
I know you. I've been last Yeah. I've been in
Detroit two times, and summers.
Speaker 4 (01:11:48):
Sometimes the best time.
Speaker 2 (01:11:49):
They don't believe me, Cam, I said, go downtown. It's nice, bro.
Speaker 1 (01:11:52):
But see when bab was saying Detroit is nice. Y'all
saw when it won nice, So you gotta think this.
I'm seeing it like cool. But y'all saw what you saying, Like,
y'all don't seen the draft When I've seen it, I
was like that ship nice.
Speaker 2 (01:12:07):
It's like you're coming from Like I get that.
Speaker 1 (01:12:17):
But I love Detroit people though, you know what I'm saying,
Like people, bro.
Speaker 2 (01:12:21):
That's the thing I love the most about this is
the people. Man.
Speaker 5 (01:12:24):
People from the Westerners like they're from Michigan. You know,
they locked in the Mischigan. They got their roots in Michigan.
And that's the good thing. You got people that just
they're grinding, you know, they ain't there, don't know, you know,
just you know, short terms it.
Speaker 4 (01:12:35):
You got people that are there that invested.
Speaker 2 (01:12:37):
In like Detroit.
Speaker 7 (01:12:38):
I know they mean and West, but they give like
a different type of like a southern type of feel
like they like they greet, they'll greet you and stuff
like that.
Speaker 1 (01:12:45):
You compare it to like the New York and the Chicago,
you know, like those man, Yeah, Detroit like there they.
Speaker 6 (01:12:55):
Went into the half though.
Speaker 1 (01:12:58):
Yeah, I already told you can't. You ain't gonna beat
on how you stayed with field goals. It's sixteen nine.
Speaker 7 (01:13:03):
For what refree?
Speaker 2 (01:13:06):
Come on, man, that's smelling sack right, that's.
Speaker 7 (01:13:11):
You don't know what that referee said to him.
Speaker 2 (01:13:13):
Man, that's just smelling saft y'all better calm down on
that ship.
Speaker 4 (01:13:18):
Boy.
Speaker 2 (01:13:19):
Huh Dan he did graise his nose.
Speaker 1 (01:13:22):
He brought he brought him pumpkin by pumpkin pie better
than sweep potato.
Speaker 2 (01:13:28):
Hey, I had the best pumpkin pie. No listen listening.
Speaker 5 (01:13:34):
I am a huge proponent of sweep I make my
own sweet tato poe. I would never make if I
made two of them Thanksgiving. But I did have this
really good one from Costco.
Speaker 1 (01:13:42):
It was Costco. It was Costco. Oh, it was so good.
It wasn't a good sweet potato, but it was actually good. No, man,
that's all they don't do sweep potato up North Man
like that. It's all all pumpkin different if you don't
know how to make it yourself. Get a love.
Speaker 7 (01:14:00):
Cowboys and the Lions play Thursday. Who y'all got?
Speaker 2 (01:14:05):
Come on, man, you know you know you know what
I'm doing. Came out for lost.
Speaker 1 (01:14:11):
I feel like the Lions do for saying I for
one against we need to get an offense going. If
the offense goal, we win my one.
Speaker 2 (01:14:21):
My boy one had a key drop to that everybody
overlooked because.
Speaker 7 (01:14:25):
He had what was hurt.
Speaker 2 (01:14:27):
It was not gonna be out again too. It's gonna
be out for what I got the Cowboys.
Speaker 6 (01:14:33):
I got Cowboys.
Speaker 7 (01:14:34):
Hey, what's the name.
Speaker 1 (01:14:35):
Was missing a lot of passes, but there was some
tough catches to the Detroit receive it, and he stepped up.
Jason Nah Kennedy, I gotta look it up. Well know,
you got a number on them.
Speaker 7 (01:14:49):
I'm gonna look it up, and you.
Speaker 4 (01:14:51):
I think who else is playing?
Speaker 2 (01:14:52):
Tesla? Tesla and there Kennedy, jameson.
Speaker 1 (01:15:01):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:15:01):
Green Bay did their job was zero. Bottom line. They
did not let that boy get loose at all.
Speaker 5 (01:15:07):
I mean when when that when that once Michael Parsons
he had the quarterback early in off, Yeah he got
three sides.
Speaker 4 (01:15:14):
But yeah, man, that.
Speaker 1 (01:15:16):
Was especially that that won late though it's a really
good game. Late in the game, when he got when
they had after they had drove down the field and
he had made that sack.
Speaker 5 (01:15:25):
If we don't keep Jered clean, man, he gets a
little you know, you get a little anxious back there.
Speaker 2 (01:15:30):
Bears, we got Bears, Packers. Oh this all Thursday.
Speaker 1 (01:15:35):
No, I'm just games coming up. I like the Bears.
I can't go against the Bears right now, Bros and Beers.
Speaker 2 (01:15:42):
That's right there, the Bears packed at home. I go
to the Packers, y'all. Boy finally got him one arch
arch Manning got him. You know what's crazy. I struck
gold on it. I got some money on that, like
put plus which is plus one thirty six. But them
the games. You win, though at home, defeated at home.
Speaker 7 (01:16:04):
You know Texas A and M.
Speaker 1 (01:16:06):
You beat a team like that, now your name should
be brought up. What Texas defense played great?
Speaker 2 (01:16:12):
Yeah, Texas Texas, well, we talked about them since Ohio
State how good that defense was. So it's not surprising.
Marcel Reeds a great quarterback, but they've been, you know,
criticized for beating lackluster opponents all season. So to go
into Texas, I just off the RiPP didn't think they
had a strong enough team to goddamn do it. And
Archie Manning is getting better by the week. So there's
(01:16:36):
much Ship that I talked about him. He as well, Hey,
he's learning. That's throwing. He's gonna grow from it. He's
learning and growing.
Speaker 6 (01:16:45):
Look like to me, well ball, you don't work.
Speaker 3 (01:16:48):
Ship, he did did one more, he said, popp he
popped in and he popped out.
Speaker 6 (01:16:52):
I don't know the shifted, I said, oh, Ship.
Speaker 2 (01:16:57):
He's learning, man, Yeah, he's learning.
Speaker 1 (01:16:59):
They make the playoffs slow down, no, no, no, three losses.
Speaker 2 (01:17:04):
I don't know how many teams going to the playoffs right, twelve?
Speaker 4 (01:17:07):
Two?
Speaker 2 (01:17:08):
Yes, Well, can you do matter favor? Can we bring
them the top and.
Speaker 6 (01:17:12):
Then I know they got that right there though.
Speaker 3 (01:17:16):
What that just said on rake Kentucky by three overtime
be on rake Mississippi State in overtime lost right there?
Speaker 7 (01:17:25):
That's not and they look at all that, they look
at all that.
Speaker 2 (01:17:28):
Helping it all. Yeah, don't they shouldn't jump jump Indiana
come from y'all see that coming this year. But they
got some dogs on that a Calvin. You saw that
that receiver from Indiana, all that catch one that's against
state state number three. Did you see that game winning catch?
Speaker 7 (01:17:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (01:17:49):
He did that little too.
Speaker 2 (01:17:51):
Fridady catch you the year right now, Bro, show him
that ball. I may I agree, Friday, catch you the year.
But now they got talent all.
Speaker 7 (01:17:59):
Y'all got at championship.
Speaker 2 (01:18:00):
Ship bucking on Georgia.
Speaker 7 (01:18:04):
Hey, I don't, bro, I don't know what it is
about Kurby going against Alabama. It's like, can I.
Speaker 2 (01:18:12):
Take Georgia just didn't look good yesterday, Bro, don't. I
don't know if it was us we played that good,
but that was a rival game. Seventy I can't get
over that weapon. Excuse me, gunners stocked and throwing the
ball for seventy yards.
Speaker 1 (01:18:27):
I can't get over and get a black quarterback in Georgia.
Well overdue, yeah wo man, well over.
Speaker 7 (01:18:36):
Calvin a quarterback?
Speaker 1 (01:18:38):
You you know, like you you played all your years in Detroit.
Speaker 2 (01:18:41):
Who a quarterback?
Speaker 7 (01:18:41):
You?
Speaker 2 (01:18:41):
You know what I mean, you wish already? That's easy.
Speaker 1 (01:18:44):
Man.
Speaker 5 (01:18:45):
I always said, this is Aaron Rodgers. I played him twice,
played against him twice a year. I got to see
it first hand. Yeah, and I just think about I mean,
he can make all the throws. He could throw the bullet,
he could throw that fat you know, just easy, just
easy to catch ball. He put it on you like,
just the accuracy I saw, and just many times he
just broke our hearts, you know. And seeing now, I
(01:19:06):
was just like, man, he always come over every game,
hell married to he come over to the sideline. He
was like, hey, come join us. You know the way
these contracts work. But yeah, and then that's the one
that broke the heart the most.
Speaker 2 (01:19:19):
You know.
Speaker 5 (01:19:19):
There was this game where he had the hell Mary
against this and like we called the time out and
usually we practiced this all the time. I go back,
I'm the one in the back of the end zone
to knock the ball down and intercept it. And they
pulled me off the field because there was like, you know,
it's like a seventy yard brow you know, like he
ain't gonna make it that far. We're gonna to play
regular defense. You just come out. They ain't gonna make that.
Speaker 7 (01:19:39):
I don't want you to get hurt or something. Just miss.
Speaker 4 (01:19:42):
Look at this right here. Look at this ship right here,
folk man.
Speaker 2 (01:19:47):
Seventy.
Speaker 4 (01:19:48):
It was probably.
Speaker 2 (01:19:52):
Look that's that's the seventy. That's seventy.
Speaker 4 (01:19:55):
Look at that.
Speaker 2 (01:19:56):
That's supposed to be me back there intercepting the ball.
He's knocking that much.
Speaker 5 (01:20:00):
They thought they thought he's gonna do something short and
they're gonna do all the little lateral stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:20:04):
And was in Detroit.
Speaker 4 (01:20:08):
You're talking about that hurt.
Speaker 7 (01:20:10):
Indeed, look at me act like yeah, I'm getting on.
Speaker 4 (01:20:15):
Talking about that hurd. So Aaron, we just knew we
had that game.
Speaker 5 (01:20:18):
That's just one where you just we already on the
sideline like good job.
Speaker 2 (01:20:22):
Ad game.
Speaker 7 (01:20:24):
But that would have been a team I meant, well,
quarterback you would have wanted to play for.
Speaker 4 (01:20:29):
Mm hmm, well how was he he was?
Speaker 5 (01:20:33):
He's one of them coaches that you run to the
wall for, you know, father figure.
Speaker 2 (01:20:37):
You know, he was the first. I had three different
kind of coaches in Detroit.
Speaker 5 (01:20:40):
I had Rob Mary Nelly who kind of like, you know,
put the onus on his coordinators to kind of be
up front and do all the work. Then I had
Jim Swartz, who was up front and boisterous, you know.
And then I had Cardwell who was just like, you know,
put it on you as far as accountability, you know,
put it on you that way, like like like like
those conversations you have with your father. You know, he
ain't cussing you out. You know, you're having a man
(01:21:00):
and man conversation with him. You know, he meaning you
know exactly, you know, he mean business and like I said,
just having that kind of relationship with him, everybody had
that personal, you know, fatherlight relationship with him.
Speaker 4 (01:21:11):
Those kind of people like you run to the wall for.
Speaker 2 (01:21:14):
You know.
Speaker 5 (01:21:14):
He have the coaching or the playing experience like like
a Dan Campbell and those guys that played in the league.
Speaker 2 (01:21:19):
But he kept it real with you, you know he did.
Speaker 5 (01:21:21):
He wanted to kind of takeing favorites and all that
because players through all that stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:21:25):
Oh he got to catch right here, catch it the
year bro third and go thirty six. Seconds left, you
get both of them down, almost like he got both
of them down. That should catcher the year like that?
Ain't nothing close right now?
Speaker 4 (01:21:37):
Game winner?
Speaker 1 (01:21:38):
Yeah, you were just talking about what made me think.
Speaker 2 (01:21:44):
That was a nasty little toe tap right there. And
those are just not deserve to win the Heisman Trophy
and the you know, and this is compared to the
last five quarterbacks to win.
Speaker 1 (01:21:56):
Who gets the funk about it? Look, look, people, look
at them. It's the impact.
Speaker 7 (01:22:01):
Come on, bro, that's my valuable player. Like this the
most valuable playoff to this team. If you take this
play away, this team won't be.
Speaker 2 (01:22:09):
She Now Indiana is eleven, and motherfucking it's Indiana, Indiana. Bro,
you got to convince me. Mm hmm yeah fuck the impact?
Yeah that what is about the impact? I never seen
Indiana being good ever, never ever ever heard.
Speaker 1 (01:22:30):
Before we get into QB one with regiball, where can
they find this primitive cannabis at.
Speaker 5 (01:22:38):
So well, we're licensed and governed in Michigan, So anytime
you're in Michigan, we're in a one.
Speaker 1 (01:22:43):
Hundred plus stores in Michigan. If you ever in southwest
Michigan are stores in Niles. We're looking to it spending
that had another store on the east side of the
state closer to Detroit right now, but that.
Speaker 4 (01:22:54):
Is the way you find It's like say anywhere.
Speaker 5 (01:22:56):
We're in one hundred plus stores in Michigan, so you
can find us around Michigan. And then we also have
a CBD line you go to online. So Primitive Performance
it's really solid. Man.
Speaker 4 (01:23:06):
We're partnered up with we've been partner We've been able
to partner with.
Speaker 5 (01:23:08):
The Detroit Tigers, you know, because we got we have
our NSF for Sports certification, which allows professional and collegiate
athletes to use our product without fear of getting popped
for any kind of performance drug. So that was a
huge barrier for us to cross. But the reason we
did it though, because like we were used to using
the products like the icy hots, bio freeze and stuff
like that, it gives you the heating and the cooling effect,
(01:23:29):
but it has no kind of anti inflammatory component where
it actually provides healing. So that's what we want to bring. Yeah,
we can add to the heating and cooling and do
all that stuff that's easy, but really want to heal.
So that's the reason why we made that product.
Speaker 1 (01:23:41):
Why you on that subject, like do you think like
with athletes, like sometimes they you know, do you think
that all help prevent them from retiring early?
Speaker 5 (01:23:51):
Well, the key is, I mean the biggest key is
promoting anti information and the reason guys when guys get injured,
that inflammation is really the key, the thing that keeps
them off the field. So when the knee is messed up,
you know, it's information that's in the need that stops
you from being in your knee and being as productive
and powerful as you want to be. So if you
can attack information, precursor the pain, the precursor.
Speaker 4 (01:24:11):
To all of a lot of our problems.
Speaker 5 (01:24:13):
If you can attack information, then you're gonna get your
players back on the feel faster. At the end of
the day, you reduce information, they get back to the
feel faster. Talking about straight up, I only know that
because I had the fortunate of being around So when
we got into the reason why, you know, it ain't
for us our company, it ain't like, you know, just
all about money. It ain't like the gorilla with the
(01:24:34):
blend in his mouth type deal. You know, this thing's
about science. For us, you know, we had the fortune
of being It's like Harvard and Dana Farber, John Hawkins
upn So we're able to see behind the scene science
and how they're using cannabis and other plant medicines to
actually heal and curb tumors. So that's why our perspectives
(01:24:54):
are different in how we approach it.
Speaker 1 (01:24:57):
Dope, dope, you'd be one no pundent. We ain't gonta
do it today. Look at the receiver.
Speaker 2 (01:25:04):
Man viving with my favorite. That's the qub we want
for the day. I brought y'all my number one target, Magga.
That's hard Broy'll r ready tell you about.
Speaker 1 (01:25:17):
You know, you would have made the team in Detroit,
dog if you ain't fun your y man.
Speaker 5 (01:25:23):
I remember watching you, just just seeing it about.
Speaker 2 (01:25:28):
It was a dig. Yes, I was so. Sean Jefferson
shout out to the O G. Sean jeff was our
wide receiver coach and long story short wing like our
quarterback situation. So I was everywhere I was on kickoff,
unt return, anything, everything. The only thing I didn't do
(01:25:49):
is play defense in camp, and for those two years
I was up there. So that Seawan Jefferson was like, hey, man,
breaget some snapshet quarterback. I said, what so that day
I started doing Pact and Gold with the receivers instead
of a quarterback coming down there. I started warming up
the receivers and the defensive side, Ernie Simms, Anthony Cannon.
(01:26:13):
They actually start going fucking crazy a little bit, so
everybody's kind of geeked to see me get some reps
at quarterback. Ship got the one on ones later on
that day, had a dig wrap Ship. I just remember
hearing that motherfucking pop and this is the fright. We
had a preseis game in two days.
Speaker 4 (01:26:32):
It was coming up. We were right in for the season.
Speaker 2 (01:26:34):
Yeah, it was a wrap though it was already I
was on the fifty three, just fucking.
Speaker 5 (01:26:40):
Like need to need with somebody who was I don't
forget who was.
Speaker 2 (01:26:44):
It was a dB from v Tech. I forget his name.
I think it was like what I hated that nigga? Yeah,
good people though, bro. Yeah, but nah man, it worked out, Yeah,
everything worked out.
Speaker 7 (01:26:59):
Yeah then y'all still you know what I mean, solid.
Speaker 5 (01:27:03):
Is about you miss the most about like anything. I mean,
life happens, your kids, family and all that, but nobody
missed running around hitting the weights. What you miss is
is a camaraderie, the locker room, the vibe, and you know,
hanging out.
Speaker 4 (01:27:17):
That's what you missed the most about just any of
your teams that you're own.
Speaker 1 (01:27:20):
You know.
Speaker 5 (01:27:21):
So I'm in Detroit, you know, even though I'm in
the truck, I get some of the guys around, but
I don't get to hang out. None of my tech guys,
and most of them guys are either here in Atlanta
or you know, just spread out. Just any time you
get to get back with the guys, man, it's always
good man, because you know, whether it's you know, one year,
two year, five years, you ain't seen.
Speaker 7 (01:27:37):
Each other because that college.
Speaker 2 (01:27:40):
Pick up here.
Speaker 4 (01:27:41):
Yeah, hell yeah even more so.
Speaker 2 (01:27:45):
Yeah, man, we got a jersey. We want you to
sign it. Man, if it ain't too much for you.
Speaker 1 (01:27:49):
Man, already we had we had to go Georgia Tech,
you know QB one way let you uh.
Speaker 2 (01:27:56):
We got a marker, I know we got we got
with sharping perfect, you know the color. How it go?
He go.
Speaker 1 (01:28:06):
Joe helped me uppends it over to my dog.
Speaker 7 (01:28:10):
Everybody touched it in.
Speaker 2 (01:28:11):
The room all ate one two, oh for sure.
Speaker 7 (01:28:16):
Now we're gonna hold you to that and we're gonna
hang that motherfucker.
Speaker 2 (01:28:20):
Yeah, Jojo whole White and Gold, Beautiful Georgia Tech, Jerry's Up.
Jojo liked the Bulldogs for some reason. I don't know
what the lord Lord and Bro like.
Speaker 1 (01:28:33):
This week eighty five South we had we had a
show in Chicago and Cincinnati, so a lot of like
you know, a few people they stayed back, like to.
Speaker 7 (01:28:42):
Help, like you know, to do the to produce it.
Speaker 2 (01:28:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:28:46):
But it was like we were telling him, like, Bro,
he don't do interviews and don't do podcasts, like we
don't see, we don't see you talk much to people.
That's why we were saying it was important we see
you really do interviews that much. Nom Bro work five
days a week. I'm not try Thursday Friday. I try
(01:29:08):
to keep that light.
Speaker 5 (01:29:08):
But that and kids, man, when the kids in schools
just like one thing to the next and then it's
like smoking yeah, and then go to bed do it
all over again.
Speaker 1 (01:29:18):
You know.
Speaker 7 (01:29:18):
Sometimes where they have the Lions games, you'll see him
every blue moon, like they are paying the camera. But
it's like like this nigga retired and really disappeared.
Speaker 2 (01:29:31):
Trying to tell you he always been like that, like
low key bomb man Bro, that's why I'm surprised that
he's even in those into our exhaustion today.
Speaker 5 (01:29:41):
I'm like, you ain't, bro, because you asked dogum a
dub man. Yeah, that's ain't no problem.
Speaker 2 (01:29:47):
That's how I know my dog comfortable, you know what
I mean, because he ain't gonna let that go out
down around there for sure.
Speaker 7 (01:29:52):
And that's what, Bro, this is what we be doing.
Speaker 1 (01:29:54):
Like we don't want to like make We ain't gonna
ask you no question for no click bab, none of
that type of ship.
Speaker 7 (01:30:01):
We ain't doing that, like just.
Speaker 2 (01:30:03):
All that hard.
Speaker 7 (01:30:04):
Yeah, we got to frame that motherfucker.
Speaker 2 (01:30:05):
Man was definitely playmakers. Man. We got us one.
Speaker 1 (01:30:09):
Yeah, you put that right in your corner right over there. Man,
got you don't now you said it on camera, you
said that eighty one.
Speaker 4 (01:30:18):
I got I got you.
Speaker 2 (01:30:19):
I just did a little thing with Mitchell and Nests.
Speaker 5 (01:30:21):
So I did just think with Mitchell Nests, and I
did his thing with a Tower the Creator and his
little golf brand.
Speaker 2 (01:30:27):
We did a couple of little cool little jerseys. Yeah,
he get comfortable. He got you.
Speaker 1 (01:30:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:30:35):
I just you know, I just bought the pissions as.
Speaker 4 (01:30:37):
Well sports teams.
Speaker 5 (01:30:41):
That's the best investment there is, man, But that's I mean,
that's the artist need to get into and nobody letting them.
Speaker 4 (01:30:47):
Chips things go exactly.
Speaker 5 (01:30:51):
I mean as Blank for doing what he did though
some minority investment into the Falcons, you know, Will Packer,
Dominique Dolls and well, you know, yeah, I was in
love with Dominique Dolls.
Speaker 4 (01:31:05):
Back in the day, the gymnasts.
Speaker 2 (01:31:07):
Yeah still find oh okay, cool, all right, cool, yeah, fine,
you know, just a mental thing, right, you still got
a good brain, that's right. Have you ever been.
Speaker 7 (01:31:19):
Stargan drug man?
Speaker 4 (01:31:22):
A couple of people he's just like.
Speaker 7 (01:31:25):
And they probably was a fan of your So I.
Speaker 5 (01:31:28):
Got the opportunity, man, It's one of the dopest opportunities
I've had, was to go to Obama and them going
out party at the White House. So I got to
meet like a little bit of everybody there, you know,
Samuel L. Jackson, you know that was that was like
obviously Obama like that was like just chopping it up
with him. And I had a couple of opportunities to
do that. Man, he's just does anybody you want to
(01:31:51):
smoke with? Like that's somebody like put on my list,
you know, one of those guys asked him questions. But
cool man, Me and my wife got into an argument
that of so stupid ship. Were sitting in there and
it's a dance party, like everybody live, like everybody there,
everybody there. Man, we in there dancing. Wife he said
something to me. I got pissed, like she didn't like
(01:32:13):
my dancing, and I got I got a little pride.
You know, I just came off of Dancing with the Stars.
I made it to the finals and Ship, so.
Speaker 1 (01:32:19):
I like I could do a little something that's act
for I got a little mad, you know. I got
into my feelings and ship and the funny thing it
was so small, it's so stupid.
Speaker 4 (01:32:29):
And then I guess Obama must saw it was a
little bit. He saw the.
Speaker 2 (01:32:32):
Energy, you know.
Speaker 5 (01:32:32):
He came over here, like what's going on and then
like obviously I ain't tell him because it's just stupid ship.
I was like, you know, but he didn't have to
go far. He's just like, hey, man, you know, life
is short.
Speaker 2 (01:32:41):
You know.
Speaker 1 (01:32:42):
He just said something simple, life is short, you know,
and just you know, kept him moving.
Speaker 2 (01:32:45):
He's like, figure the ship out, and you probably would have.
Speaker 7 (01:32:47):
Been real with him and Tony like.
Speaker 2 (01:32:51):
You know, smoke.
Speaker 5 (01:32:53):
One last year doing common when she was having her
little thing. He came to Detroit, so I had a
chance to talk.
Speaker 2 (01:32:58):
To him again.
Speaker 5 (01:33:00):
He said exactly that, because I told him about the
whole situation, and I told him what he did because
I had a wife and next to me and we're
just cracking up about it, and he said something just
like that.
Speaker 2 (01:33:09):
That's crazy, bro.
Speaker 1 (01:33:10):
Now I'm telling that gonna be your biggest help and
your biggest critic is your old lady brow. She talked
good about you when you ain't around. It's just when
you're there.
Speaker 7 (01:33:23):
You can't. You can't be at the top all the time.
Speaker 2 (01:33:26):
You know, your head down.
Speaker 1 (01:33:28):
Yeah, try to humble the real one. And you know what,
that's the funny thing, man.
Speaker 5 (01:33:34):
Everybody used to always be like, you know, why you
ain't more flashy while you don't talk ship all that
kind of stuff, Why i'd be thusting you tired you're working?
Speaker 2 (01:33:42):
But it was always from me.
Speaker 5 (01:33:45):
I was a kid. Every time I got high on myself,
it was always something to bring that down. It's always
my family though, you know what I'm saying, So I
would never like, I just know anytime you know I
showed my ass. I'm gonna get humble. So I just
keep it, keep it even killed, you know, good time,
bad time.
Speaker 4 (01:34:01):
Just keep it here.
Speaker 1 (01:34:02):
Like with you being so like, you know, cool, like
laid back, like like what what you what you do
to pull your wife?
Speaker 2 (01:34:08):
Then you said my wife. Yeah that was different. Man.
Speaker 4 (01:34:11):
I was out. I was out of character. I was
really out of.
Speaker 2 (01:34:17):
So. First things first, I first met her.
Speaker 5 (01:34:19):
So she ended up in an interning the Detroit Lyons
my second year. So she was over on the sideline
and Roy Williams was like, you know, we got these
boys called camp eyes, you know where you see your
dudes all company and you see anything.
Speaker 4 (01:34:32):
It could be like.
Speaker 5 (01:34:33):
Butter ahead you just like you know you're walking, you know,
so forgive us. But so so saw her and I'm like, dawg,
like she's fine, my boy. Roy's like, I bet you
won't go say nothing to her. No, we're so petty.
And I was like, hell, yeah, bet better hunted, you know,
better hunted. So I went up at to practice sugar
hands to the glove all, you know, introduced myself and
then you know, after that, tried to holler at us.
(01:34:55):
She was like I ain't got nothing for you. I
know you in these streets. You know, basically, that's exactly
what she said to me. Long story short. Five years later,
were both working at the Lions. We always see each
other games, were crossing each other, everybody trying to hook
us up, from my coaches, friends and all that.
Speaker 7 (01:35:09):
Since then, you had still wanted her.
Speaker 1 (01:35:11):
I still I still did, but she always you know,
I was in these streets, so she wouldn't give me
no time. We was hanging out and stuff like that,
but she wouldn't really give me the time of day.
Speaker 2 (01:35:19):
So funny thing.
Speaker 5 (01:35:20):
Long SoC short fighters later, all both in Miami. Random,
you know, we see each other in Miami. She down
there for a birthday trip. I want my boys just
hanging out, and you know, we kind of link up,
you know, vibing. We kind of go to the club
and ship and I started acting out the character dog.
I brought a whole birthday Kate to the club. I
brought a whole birthday k to the club. You know,
lit that thing, same happy birthday in the club and
(01:35:43):
live and stuff. You know, it was it was cool though,
you know, long story stort, I mean, looking back, you
know those are the moves that you know kind of
you know, seal the deal, just like because she wouldn't
see any it was out of character for me to
do those things. So she was like, oh, he must really.
Speaker 7 (01:35:59):
Yeah with me showing showing a differences up.
Speaker 5 (01:36:02):
I messed it up and had a kid, you know,
out of out of wed lot before you know, Will
was kind of messed around, had the kid, you know,
a high school sweetheart, and that almost really messed it up.
That booked the whole thing. And so she didn't even
mess with me for like a minute after that. You know,
I was I was just begging, you know, for you know,
just for a time and her friends and stuff like.
Speaker 7 (01:36:22):
It was tried to break.
Speaker 2 (01:36:24):
He said that everything I had to break records. I
had to break records for it. Man, I had to
break records for it.
Speaker 1 (01:36:39):
That straight up though, Like but no man hung in
there because her best friend got restissl shen't hear no
more mal she used to she used to be my
go to. She was like, you just got to keep
keep plugging and keeps staying in there, and that gave
me hope.
Speaker 7 (01:36:52):
You know, she's like keep hitting, she's saying something to.
Speaker 5 (01:36:55):
It, you know, so I'm just just hunguing in there.
And long story short, she loved she loved my oldest
like hers.
Speaker 2 (01:37:02):
So beautiful, beautiful.
Speaker 6 (01:37:06):
That's amazing.
Speaker 2 (01:37:06):
Shout out to the first Lady man, first lady Mega.
Speaker 6 (01:37:09):

Speaker 7 (01:37:12):

Speaker 1 (01:37:14):

Speaker 2 (01:37:21):
He saw something. Yeah, I want that's a good man.
Yeah that's a great Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:37:32):

Speaker 7 (01:37:34):

Speaker 6 (01:37:36):
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (01:37:37):
I know.
Speaker 6 (01:37:37):
But she wasn't going She's like, okay, what she is?
Speaker 2 (01:37:40):
Well, her dad, her dad played bass and she had perspective.
Good job.
Speaker 1 (01:37:47):
But no, she said like she probably like, oh he
didderent he like you know she because you gotta think
she around it.
Speaker 6 (01:37:54):
She said that she said you in the streets straight, Yeah,
just like she.
Speaker 1 (01:37:59):

Speaker 3 (01:38:08):

Speaker 2 (01:38:12):
In the streets. But you never know.
Speaker 1 (01:38:15):

and don't have nothing going on that all they knew
was football.
Speaker 7 (01:38:21):
Man got a hundred stores straight.
Speaker 1 (01:38:24):
