Speaker 1 (00:00):
If you've spent any time on social media over the
last decade, you've probably come across some quote unquote food hacks.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Oh my god, so many.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
They're all over TikTok right now. It's one of the
most popular things. The problem is a lot of them
are either really elaborate and lame, or they don't actually
work at all. Yeah, some of them don't.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
I feel like I'm more disappointed than excited. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
I for example, you don't cook exactly, but instead of
using a stove, seem your vegetables inside your dishwasher on
a medium cycle.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
That was.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Big fresh cookies on the hood of your car during
a hot summer day. Or easily open up a bottle
of wine using a Roman candle and a blow torch
drink I mean a glass.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
I have done that one.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Yeah, I can see that. At this point, we've been
flooded with so many of these, you've probably thought to yourself,
which ones are the best and the easiest and are
actually doable?

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Okay, well, are you gonna help us with that?

Speaker 1 (01:12):
A popular cooking website has collected the best food hacks
from the entire Internet that they say are totally worth it.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Notes right now Jeffrey, maybe you should.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Let's get into this. Number ten, eating a hard taco
over a soft tortilla shell. Yes, and with everything that
drops out of the first taco, you'll instantly get a
second taco. Yeah, for the slob in your family. Basically,
it's not a slab. You take one barite of a
heartshall taco and the entire thing disintegrate. It's similar to

(01:42):
Brook eating her burrito over the toilet hack, because all
of a sudden she's got tortilla soup with all the dropping.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Shot you don't want to spoon next tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Number nine. Mathematically speaking, it's better to order one large
eighteen inch pizza than two medium twelve inch pizzas. Somebody
said this, I don't believe it's mathematically speaking. You get
more food with the large, but.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
The topping distribution has to be off.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
But have you ever thought of putting the two pizzas
together so the cheeses are facing each other.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Oh, pizza sandwich lasagna pizza.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
I've never thought of that.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
That's not actually how you make lasagna, Alexis, I just don't.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
We're talking about food hacks from the internet that actually work.
According to this cooking website.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Yeah, and it's making me hungry.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Number eight. You mix a few different breakfast cereals together
in one container to give you more variety and to
regulate the sweetness level.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Oh so you like put your lucky charms with some
cheerios to like, or.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Some flax flakes.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Okay, my kids like they do a cheerio checks combo.
That's what they like.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Yeah, got it. I'm the boring mode.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Who's convinced them that there's dessert cereal and then there's
breakfast cereal.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Yeah. Number seven. For easier to eat some'mores, instead of
using gram crackers, try making them inside of an ice
cream cone.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
I've done that. You have, Yeah, it doesn't hit the
same really, even like a waffle cone. Yeah. You put
it inside like a cone, and then you wrap the
cone in tinfoil and then you put it on the
fire and then it all melts. I just really like
a good brown marshmallow.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Like like number six, if you're setting up for a
party and you've got a cheese plate and you want
to make the soft cheeses perfectly cut, use dental floss.
I didn't say. I didn't say used dental floss.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
I was going to serve it with my soup.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Yeah, it's tortilla. Number five. I don't know about this one,
but they say, if you're decorating a cake and you
want to distribute the sprinkles evenly, how do.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
You do it? I can never get it on this They.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Say, dump the sprinkles on a lint roller and roll
around you. Only some are gonna come off, but apparently
it'll beautiful.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Is the world's Harrius cake?

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Yeah, I know, clean the before get the sprinkles, but yeah, IgE,
it doesn't feel don't know if I endorse that one. Again,
we're talking about the food hacks that actually work and
are worth the effort. According to this cooking site. Number four,
reheating pizza in the microwave, you need to put a
glass of water in with the slice for thirty seconds,

(04:35):
and the water helps keep the crust crispy while the
cheese still melts.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Got what are you doing? Yeah? You like.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Cook actual yet number three This one I do not recommend.
And actually people in England have burned their houses down
because of this. Okay, there's a warning before this, but
some people say to make fast easy rilled cheese, you
turn a toaster on its side and put the sandwich
in like a mini oven. That is brilliant.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
That is terrible that you put the cheese on its
out up all over the coil, and that's why so
many houses have burned down in England because of it.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
The cheese melts onto the hot coils and it starts
a fire.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Oh my god, this is why jose should never cook.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Honestly, you guys would have told me that. I would
have tried that today when I got.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Home for real tire apartment building number two.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Steam your vegetables while cooking your pasta noodles. I do
that by placing a cookie rack over your pot of
boiling spaghetti, and then you add the veggies on top
of that.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Why don't you just put a steam.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Whatever it is, something that has holes in it, and
then you lay the lid over the top of that,
so the steam from the pasta cooks the vegetables things
at once. There you go, and the number one food
hack that actually works and is worth the effort. According
to this, they put a koozy over your pint of
ice cream so you keep your hand warm while the

(06:05):
ice cream stays cold. The small like depending Jerry's ice cream.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
What are you animals? You're just eating it straight out
of the cart. Yeah, are you?

Speaker 1 (06:16):
What are you happy over the Let me guess brook,
You kick slices for your kids, Square alder.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
I put it in cups, You put it in a
coffee mug and then you have a hair.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
Disgust Me nine two. I'd rather eat the lin cakes.
