Speaker 1 (00:01):
You don't know confession.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
I can't take back earl arms.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Mouse speak text to seven eight five nine, who says,
my cat, who never sits on my.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Lap, actually sat on my lap this morning. That's so excited.
And she's still there right now.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
Don't move, don't move.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
I called in sick to work today so that she
could sit on me as long as she wants.

Speaker 4 (00:28):
You should ye, that makes sense.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
You don't think the boss would have given him the
day off of YOUA just called in and told the truth.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Like, my cat's showing me love for the very first time.
I can't come in today and count on my lap.

Speaker 4 (00:39):
He's like, take the week off, so you don't want
to risk it.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
See.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
The thing is, you can come and tell the truth
here on the mass speaker because we change your voice
and keep you anonymous so the entire world can safely
hear your secrets while we perr like happy little katies
in your lap. And today we have a guy who
wants to come clean using the fake name.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
So Vinnie, welcome to the show.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Hey, thanks for having me. I appreciate it all.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
Right, Vinny, got any cats around or no?

Speaker 1 (01:07):
I had no cats around, unfortunately?

Speaker 2 (01:09):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Okay, it's not going to be a cat confession, but
we're still excited to hear from you because the voice
changer is on.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
You are the mass speaker. Whenever you're ready, let's hear it.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Yeah. So it was about a few months ago my
wife sat me down and she had a serious talk
with me.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
That doesn't sound good.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
Yeah, it's not a good sign that you're wanting to
share this anonymously.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Yeah, what was to talk about?

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Well, she told me that as a grown man, I
should be able to do my own laundry, and so
from that moment forward, she was done doing my laundry
for me. Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Oh what?

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Were you embarrassed by that?

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Embarrassed? No? I mean she's been doing my laundry since
we've been buried, So it was it was more of
a blind side than an embarrassed okay.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Oh wow, okay.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
I mean, obviously she's feeling probably pretty upset, like there's
not a very good balance of housework in the home.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Is that true?

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Well, I don't know if that's necessarily true, because we
both have the things that we cover, and laundry was
one of the things that she always covered, and we
have three kids together and she always does their laundry.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Cut oo poor woman.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Yeah, well, I'm sure you know you contribute something to
the household.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Yeah, absolutely, I do the yard work. Things need to
be fixed. You know, when she's busy doing laundry, I'm
not just sitting there drinking a beer and watching her.
You know, I'm doing my own things.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Okay, take a fair trade. I'll do some of my laundry,
you mow some of the yard.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
That's kind of how my family works that way.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
It's not a very good sign that she's upset and
having to sit down and like have this big talk
with you about it.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Ultimately, I was just like, okay, you feel strongly about this,
fair point. But you know, at the same time, I
hate doing laundry. And I know this sounds silly, but
like I'm just not good at it.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
Want to cop out? Come on?

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Yeah, I don't separate anything. Yeah, everything, And there's literally
no skill involved.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
To all sudden you have to sort the white colors
from the darker colors.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
And the color blindness. I mean, you know, is this
black or white? I can't tell you. You don't know
people's blight Brooks.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
I'm having a hard time staying on your side.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
Right, disappointing when you do it yourself and you're like,
oh god, I did this like crap.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
Webinars, ignorance or anything.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Okay, what's the position you're in?

Speaker 4 (03:34):
So hard?

Speaker 1 (03:34):
That's not the conflict that I'm facing because I said,
fair point, I'll do it myself, but honestly, because I
hate it and I'm not good at it, it just
started piling nothing. She got upset with me.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Yeah, it's even worse.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
Yeah, yeah, because you said you do it and now
you're not doing it.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Yeah. So she ended up. She got into the habit
of before she went to work, she leaves before I
do it works.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
Full time too, okay.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Yeah yeah, and throw it in either the backseat or
the trunk of my car.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
Okay, oh, just to mess up your car. I see.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
So you guys are in that healthy spot of Mary.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
She said it was to get the mess out of
the house because if I wasn't going to do it,
she didn't want to look at it. And then she said,
just stop by a laundromat if you don't want to
do it yourself. But honestly, like that's still a lot
of work for me.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
Okay, oh yeah, Jeffie, you're gonna have to take over there.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Let me quickly. Brook is really feeling sympathetic.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
Now you can't even go to the laundromat, Yeah, pay
someone to do it for you.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
So now what you said, where are you at? Do
you have any clean clothes?

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Well, yes, I do have clean clothes now. So bottom
line is, my wife has kind of been in a
fight with her mom for a little bit. They've been
on the outs, things have been tense. They haven't spoken
to each other. So I'm so speaking to her mom.
I swung by her house. I told her, you know
what was happening. I said, she's making me do the
laundry now. And I know I tried to be sympathetic

(04:56):
and you know, be objective and share the argument and
take wife's side and defend her.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
Defender against her own mom. Her own mom is like, no,
you work full time and have three children, you better
do that man's law.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Well, her mom is retired, and her mom sort of
felt bad about the situation, so her mom offered to
do my laundry for me.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
So you're going behind your wife's back to the mother
that she's not speaking with, just so you can get
your laundry done.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
Wow. Yeah basically, oh wow, dude, dude, you just one marriage.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Congratulate you found the ultimate life back We're all just
jealous of you.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
At this point.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
If your wife finds out you aren't married.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
Anymore, yeah, that was like really not good. I mean
talk about backstaffing. You did swear her mom to secrecy
on this. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Yes, And at this point, I feel like everybody's winning
because her mom still feels connected to our family. I'm
getting my laundry. My wife doesn't have to do my laundry.
Nobody is hurt. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
Yeah, you should tell her that when she finds out.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Seabrook, happy marriages do exist. This is something for you
to aspire to.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Your husband talks to your mom behind your back all
the time.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
Totally gives me such a head.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Well, Vinnie, I'm glad you figured out the formula.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
I'm not everybody's happy in the family.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Yes they are. Would it be a secret, Jeff? I
hope she shrinks his clothes to encourage him to get
into better shape.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Point alexis, everybody wins and thank you for sharing.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Vinnie.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
Text in to seven eight five nine two. If you
have a confession that you've been holding on to. We
can hydr identity, ask your voice, and make you our
next Hero's coming up this

Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
