Speaker 1 (00:00):
Second date updated.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
You know, the picture you see on someone's dating profile
compared to what they look like in real life can
be vastly different. Oh yeah, and just look at jose
in his passport photo, which hasn't been updated in twenty
seven years.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Wow, doesn't make any sense.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Still, he still has his baby teeth in his passport. No,
I was like in my early twenties, but.

Speaker 4 (00:25):
They make you take a picture and send it in
every time.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
You're Okay, I'm not gonna go down this road again.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Yeah. The point is the photo compared to real life
can be very very shocking and different. And really that
first moment when you finally see your date in person
can be huge.

Speaker 5 (00:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Apparently that was.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
The case for one of our listeners, Kendrick, who needs
our help today.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Kendrick, welcome to the show.

Speaker 5 (00:47):
I'm going guys.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
Okay, your date was a good surprise or you were
the bad surprise.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Yeah, we want to tell us about this woman that
you met. Where you met her.

Speaker 5 (00:55):
I thought it was a good surprise when we matched online.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Okay, And what's her name?

Speaker 5 (01:00):
Danielle?

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Danielle?

Speaker 6 (01:02):
Okay, so before we find out what she looks like,
what did her dating profile look.

Speaker 5 (01:05):
Like, Oh my gosh, she was gorgeous, had all the
right lighting, the right pictures.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
All that right lighting.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
Man, oh my god, I'm dead.

Speaker 5 (01:16):
Okay, there's no way she was going to look like
this in real life.

Speaker 6 (01:19):
Right, We're even doubting it before you met her, right, Okay,
set the expectations low for the in person meetup.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
And this is kind of funny because there's two things.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
They either look really good in their profile there's no
way they look at god in real life. Or some
people look way better in person, Like you see their
profile and they're like, oh my gosh, like you look
better in natural lighting. I know that is what it's
like hanging out with me. So tell us what did
you do for your date?

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Kendrick? Where'd you guys go?

Speaker 5 (01:45):
So we chose the meet up and we went to
one of those big malls that you know has all restaurants, shopping.

Speaker 6 (01:50):
Ball Yeah, okay, that's very old school.

Speaker 5 (01:53):
Right, So we were going to walk around and then
eventually grab a bike.

Speaker 6 (01:57):
Well, you were there, but I want to know about
the moment when you saw her for the first time
in real life, because that's the whole.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Thing, right, Like you were you were shocked.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Why were you shot run us through that?

Speaker 5 (02:06):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I got there first. So she
walked in five minutes later, like right after me, right,
and oh my god, I was like, bam, she looked
like she just stepped out of a TV commercial.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
OV.

Speaker 5 (02:18):
Her hair's just flowing.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
She gives you two lawyers eight.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
What do you mean like a TV commercial?

Speaker 5 (02:32):
Well, you're not like a model, but I mean like
she looks like somebody who could be like running on
a beach, you know, in slow motion promoting yogurt.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
A model.

Speaker 5 (02:45):
Literally, she just had a TV commercial globe.

Speaker 6 (02:49):
Okay, wow, okay, okay, so you were surprised, like she
looked better.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
Than her photos?

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Okay, yeah, absolutely, So it was a good first meeting.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Then how did the rest of the day at the
mall go?

Speaker 5 (03:02):
So we're walking around the mall. I had a big
smile on my face because I knew people were looking
at us thinking, how did that guy get her? Oh?

Speaker 3 (03:10):
And you like that?

Speaker 5 (03:11):
Oh I love it.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
Oh, good for you.

Speaker 5 (03:13):
I'll try not to stare at her a lot. I
was making a lot of jokes too.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Wait, sorry, you said you were making a lot of jokes.

Speaker 5 (03:20):
Yes, Like we went to one of those places that
sells hats, and I said to her, you know, like
these hats have headlights in them.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
That a joke, my friend, What is a serious spear unlocks?

Speaker 1 (03:33):
What is the joke?

Speaker 5 (03:35):
Well, I don't really think it's ninety percent. I just
made that up because it sounds funny.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
The jokes is twenty one percent.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Did she laugh?

Speaker 7 (03:44):
She happening?

Speaker 4 (03:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Was she disgusted?

Speaker 1 (03:49):
She probably didn't.

Speaker 5 (03:51):
She laughed. It was more of an uncomfortable laugh, but
she laughed a little bit.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Yeah, she alas knew you were trying to joke.

Speaker 4 (03:57):
Yeah, she slowly put the hat back.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Okay, so, okay, you're making jokes. You're comparing her just
TV commercial ladies.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
You gotta call her yogurt girl.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
You're right, I'm calling her. You'll play princess. What did
you and your play princess do? From there?

Speaker 5 (04:17):
So she finally showed up at the seafood. They'll say,
but we had to put our names in because there
was a lot of people there. So there's a little
bit of a wait.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Okay, good, wait for it.

Speaker 5 (04:26):
I was a gentleman. I pulled her chair out, I
gave her compliments.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Good nice.

Speaker 5 (04:30):
I walked her to her car afterwards, gave her a kiss.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Oh you got a kiss?

Speaker 5 (04:34):
Got a kiss? You know? Major is just a small
little kiss. Okay. But the next day I get a
weird text that says, I can't freaking believe you. I
don't date low Lives.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
Oh what did you say?

Speaker 5 (04:49):
She said? Sea?

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Like bye? Oh? God?

Speaker 5 (04:53):
So I don't know what she's talking about. I tried
to call her, but she sends me strange voicemail every time.
So I'm turning to you guys, trying to figure out
where I went wrong.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
If she has head lice and is blaming.

Speaker 5 (05:08):
I didn't headlights when I got the cires.

Speaker 7 (05:10):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
I know that's how you check.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
But what a weird thing to say. I can't believe you,
Like I don't date low Lives. What could you have done?

Speaker 1 (05:18):
She has a piece of information. I don't know what
it is.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
If she found something else?

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Okay, I saw something.

Speaker 6 (05:23):
And here's the thing you have to know before we
call her. It's not gonna be good if she's calling you.

Speaker 5 (05:27):
A low Yeah O my god. Yeah, So I need
even know what it is, Like what made all right?

Speaker 8 (05:35):
Maybe?

Speaker 3 (05:35):
Like maybe it's something she misunderstood.

Speaker 5 (05:38):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
I don't know. I'm not liking the tone.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
If you'll play princess right now, so we're gonna find
out she sounds more like gogurt goddess is still GOODE
think it so funnier?

Speaker 4 (05:51):
A dainty animal?

Speaker 5 (05:52):
Oh my god. We'll figure out.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
What's wrong with this yogurt girl when we call her
and get you your second date update.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
Right after this second date update.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Yo, play princess dancing around the beach with her crown
and television cameras following her all around.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
That wasn't the date.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
That's just what played in the head of our listener
Kendrick when he saw Danielle for the very first time.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
She was TV commercial pretty.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
That's right, and they walked them all together, almost got
headlines trying on hats.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Okay, that's just a joke he made.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
It was funny, and they ended up at a seafood buffet,
had a really, really nice time. It all sounds great,
But since then, the only communication he's got was a
very troubling text from Danielle.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
What did her text say, again, Kendrick.

Speaker 5 (06:46):
I don't state low lives like you, so Fia.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
I also like to see.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
It sounds bad, but I've sent worse text to my
mother before and she still wants me, So there's a
chance there's a good shot at redemption.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Okay, did we hear did you respond to her?

Speaker 5 (07:06):
No? I just try to call her, but she the
voicemail immediately.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
You didn't like it or anything.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
Okay, yeah, let us do the dirty work for you.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
I feel you, man, So now we're going to try again,
see if she picks up.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
I'm going to dial her number right now.

Speaker 7 (07:23):
Here we go, all right, huh why'd you?

Speaker 3 (07:36):
I don't know, because she's not going to want to
talk to us.

Speaker 4 (07:38):
Is that text?

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Maybe the sigh? Hey is this Danielle?

Speaker 5 (07:44):
Good morning? Hello?

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Yes, the whole radio show is on the phone right now,
eager to talk to you.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
We're called Brook and Jeffrey in the morning.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
I'm a little nervous to talk to you, to be honest.

Speaker 8 (07:54):
Why are you guys calling me?

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Good question. We do this segment called a second date Update.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
I'm not sure if you're familiar with that, but it's
where we help out our listeners who went out on
a date with somebody and they're not getting a second
one to try and figure out why something went wrong.
If there was a mistake that happened, we figured there
must be some sort of thing that went wrong. Yeah,
based on the text message that you sent to our
friend Kendrick the other day.

Speaker 8 (08:22):
Yeah, oh god, it was hard to decipher. Yeah, well,
I will tell you this. I don't want anything to
do with him, so I don't.

Speaker 4 (08:30):
Yeah, I think that that's clear.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
I think he's just totally confused as to why.

Speaker 8 (08:35):
Yes, well, I don't like people who go through my
personal things and make me feel uncomfortable.

Speaker 7 (08:42):
And yeah, I'm.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
Not sure what exactly you mean by that.

Speaker 8 (08:48):
Wow, I don't know what he's told you or whatever happened.
But he was in my business, like literally in my bag,
my wallet business?

Speaker 4 (08:57):
What what?

Speaker 1 (08:58):
What?

Speaker 4 (08:59):
How did he go through your Yeah, your purse, your wallet?

Speaker 3 (09:02):
What do you mean?

Speaker 8 (09:03):
I see the restaurant, So I asked him if you
hold my stuff from me?

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Were you seated already at this point or is this
while you were waiting? He said, there was a long wait.

Speaker 8 (09:12):
While we were waiting. I went to the restaurant.

Speaker 6 (09:15):
Oh, while you were awaiting, you were like, not in
the rest I mean maybe lobby or something gotcha.

Speaker 8 (09:19):
Okay, so my purse was only out of my possession
for a moment. But I think that's when one of
my bags and slatched my stuff.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
What's stuff?

Speaker 3 (09:28):
Wait, now that you're accusing him of stealing something from your.

Speaker 8 (09:30):
Bag, well it surely isn't there anymore, and it sounds
minute for me.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
It's the principal What did he take my Jaba juice card,
gift cards?

Speaker 4 (09:43):
What was it loose or was it in your wallet?

Speaker 8 (09:47):
It was in my wallet, right in the front of
my wallet, even go by my walle.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
Did you did you see him go through your person
take your card? Or are you just assuming that because
you're in the bathroom.

Speaker 8 (09:59):
I don't because how it's not going to jump out
of my wallet? I don't know.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
All the time, I swear things can jump out of it.

Speaker 6 (10:05):
It's so weird to have such a specific thing be stolen,
Like if he was going to steal from you, it'd
be like, I don't know, a credit.

Speaker 4 (10:12):
Card or something, And why would he call us to
get you on the phone.

Speaker 5 (10:17):
Hello.

Speaker 8 (10:17):
That's why I'm trying to figure out.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
He doesn't know that she knows, okay, and you don't
know that he knows that He's been listening on the
other line of this phone call the entire time waiting
to talk to you.

Speaker 1 (10:33):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 5 (10:34):
Whoa, whoa, whoa? Hey, why are you saying all this
stuff about me? I can't even defend myself.

Speaker 3 (10:39):
Now your chance to defend yourself.

Speaker 7 (10:41):
I need to hear this.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
Yeah, sorry, he's been on the other one listening.

Speaker 6 (10:45):
If that wasn't clear, which I mean, you need to
tell him, like, well, first off, what were you doing
in my purse?

Speaker 8 (10:52):
And why the hell would you take my job of
juice car.

Speaker 5 (10:56):
I don't like having my name drank through the mud
like this. Will not be be able to defend myself
for safe.

Speaker 8 (11:01):
I don't want to say it.

Speaker 5 (11:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
Yeah, are you saying you're innocent that you didn't take it?

Speaker 5 (11:07):
Well, no, I mean I did. I did. I took it.

Speaker 8 (11:12):
I thought you were about to just I knew what
I told you.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
God, Okay, you're right, Kendrick, dude, wallet and steal from
her and then.

Speaker 5 (11:24):
Wonder why you don't you don't understand that. You don't
understand I needed it for my ex.

Speaker 8 (11:31):
Okay, excuse.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
Called the low life.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
You couldn't connect this, Kendrick.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
That's a weird statement, dude. Can you explain I was.

Speaker 5 (11:43):
Going to give it back or reimburse her on the
next day, but she wouldn't answer. My ball, what why did.

Speaker 4 (11:49):
You just buy your own? Damn jump juice?

Speaker 8 (11:53):
My dad?

Speaker 2 (11:53):
Does no one say that that's an issue that is
also bad for your Can we ask, yeah, why are
you giving gifts back to your ex girlfriend?

Speaker 5 (12:03):
Well? Me and I actually aren't together, but we still
celebrate our anniversary. We call it an extra versary.

Speaker 4 (12:13):
So you what, you stole the gift card for you.

Speaker 5 (12:17):
I borrowed it. So extroversary works. So we get each
other a gift card or a card and it's like, nor,
hope you're doing well?

Speaker 3 (12:26):
Okay, I don't know that we asked for all of this.

Speaker 8 (12:28):
So you figure that X fine for you to celebrate
your act by taking from me.

Speaker 5 (12:33):
And I'm not even with you yet, Like, you don't
see anything wrong with that.

Speaker 4 (12:36):
You were at the mall, you could have bought anything.

Speaker 8 (12:42):
That you probably should not have been going out with me.

Speaker 6 (12:44):
Kendrick, you sound like a pickpocket or something.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
And why are we even going through the person her wallet? Anybody?

Speaker 5 (12:52):
Yeah? Well, our extroversary was later that night, so she
was taking forever in the bathroom, right, I was bored.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
You were shopping inside of her Hers looks so weird.

Speaker 5 (13:10):
I think you're lying because you're on your life and says.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
Okay, they're They're both not perfect people.

Speaker 5 (13:20):
She is a.

Speaker 6 (13:21):
Perfect woman who belongs on a yogurt commercial on television.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
The people in commercials tend not to be as tall
as they appear on TV. Awesome, listen, Okay, the good
point is Kendrick is very detail oriented. Because he looked
at her license, he made sure that she is who
she said.

Speaker 4 (13:40):
She like that He's memorizing like.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
This is so that is Kendrick. It sounds like that
was a violation going through her stuff, and then.

Speaker 5 (13:51):
Sounds like I'm going to pay her back.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
Okay, we're we're just going to back away because now
that it's all out in the open, you can talk
to Danielle and apologize or say whatever it is that
you want to say to Mstry takeover, try to win
her back.

Speaker 5 (14:06):
Here, Danielle, I'm sorry, I got the extroversary day mixed up.
I forgot it was later that night and I hadn't
gotten her anything.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
So, okay, I didn't.

Speaker 5 (14:16):
Want to violate you. I didn't want.

Speaker 4 (14:18):
Tool for that.

Speaker 6 (14:22):
Yeah, I mean, can we just give how much was
that gift card worth?

Speaker 3 (14:26):
Can we reimburse her for the.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
Jug well Brook, it's not Danielle's extroversary. It's so that's
not fair. The only thing that's fair to do is
to offer Kendrick and Danielle a second date paid for
by you're out of your mind hole.

Speaker 6 (14:45):
Yeah, okay, daniel that was the most appropriate response ever.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
Kendrick wants more gift cards. I know Kendrick's up for it,
all right, So Danielle, that's a no from you. Absolutely no.

Speaker 6 (14:59):
You know what we never heard is whether or not
his ex was excited about the gift cartoon?

Speaker 2 (15:03):
Okay, Kendrick, how did the gift go?

Speaker 5 (15:08):
So that part worked out?

Speaker 6 (15:12):
One work, Kendrick freaking Jeffrey in the morning.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
Oh man. Extiversary is a new term that I did
not know about it.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
We're concentrating on here.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Yes, how many years do you think it's going to
take before Webster's picks that up? Yeah, they've got in
the dictionary. Extaversary needs a spot in those pages?

Speaker 1 (15:33):
And how long does an activersary last? A lifetime?

Speaker 5 (15:36):
Ten years?

Speaker 3 (15:37):
He's doing this. No one is picking that.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Up, anniversary celebrators.

Speaker 6 (15:43):
I just still can't believe he was baffled when she
called him a low light and he put it together.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
But he went through her things for a good reason, for.

Speaker 4 (15:54):
Someone else, for ex love.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
Yes, yes, it's a good reminder to reach out to
an X and tell them no hard feelings.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
And I have a Jamba Juice gift card coming your
way yea.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
