The other day, I tried out a very fancy spot
so nice. I couldn't get a reservation for dinner, so
I went in for lunch and I like snuck into
the bar and we got myself a seat. Yeah, so
I tell the bartender right away what I'm doing. All
of a sudden, he's making my drink look like super
Instagram work Like. He's like, no, no, no, do it like this.

This wine cellar, I just have to pretend I'm a
food review. I don't know, like what is going on?

Speaker 5 (02:50):
This is great, Like I love my job. This is awesome.
So he's going above and beyond to help me, and
as I'm leaving, he gives me his number and says, hey, look,
if you need anything, let me know. Yeah, and I'm like, oh,
I'm good.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
You know I did.

Speaker 5 (03:04):
I did everything, you know, and I appreciate it. And
then he like stops down and gets like uncomfortable eye
contact and he's like, oh, no, I mean anything anytime
if you need it, And I'm like, oh, you're talking
about the dessert. Donuts.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
I should have gotten you're up selling and they.

dude is like hooking me up, and I think he
just thinks I'm friendly and nice and no, this.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Is this is what it's like.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
Hey, if there's a hot bartender hitting on you, it
means you're doing something right.

Speaker 5 (03:42):
Yes, so I feel good. I'm like okay, like not interested.
But look I didn't tell him that.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
I was like, well, thank you very much.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
And then I figured somebody I know would like to
have this instead. So Jeffrey, this is for you, my
friend Mitchell Mitchell at the bar.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
I don't want your sloppy second I wouldn't either, as
what's on your mind?

Speaker 4 (04:10):
So I went out to a birthday dinner recently a
guy I'm talking to, and then his friend came and
so we wait, there's just three of you, just three.

Speaker 6 (04:16):
Of us, Okay, So we go to this expensive next restaurant.
I'm excited because I love this place. Yeah, and I
never can pay for it myself. I'm so I'm mourning
extra marks, all the trips in guac.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
All the apps.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
You wait, you're expecting the guy that you're talking to
to pay for his own birthday dons.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
I didn't think this through.

Speaker 6 (04:34):
Because so, yeah, the time does come to pay, Yeah,
it's up to you.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
I realized, oh, he can't pay, and then his friend.

Speaker 4 (04:41):
Doesn't offer, he doesn't pull out his wallet, so this line, yeah,
I got it.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
But he's like no, no, no, it's okay.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
So we put out our phones in Apple Pay at
the same time to the server you know how you do,
and I like try to back off a little.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
I'm like all right, and he's like sense, yes.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
So we're taking our phone sitting in with the center
at the same time, and I'm like, look at the waitress.
I'm like, please, like take his you know his yeah,
please contact I may pay. I'm like take his phone
and it goes through, you know whatever. He's like, oh,
I think it got mine and I'm like.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Yeah, oh no, okay. Then I get the text from
my bank twenty dollars charge. It was terrible. Let's say.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
So now I'm making it up by slowly taking things
from his house. They're worth amounts of money, you like,
I saw a nice cody that was kind of expensive.
I was one hundred dollars there Okay, I want to
see what I can take.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
Yeah, to take your they're stealing, Yeah, they're breaking even Yeah. Yeah,
I do regret ordering the ext remarks.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
Yeah, Jeffrey, what's on your mind?

Speaker 1 (05:48):
I feel like whenever I talk about my house, I'm
always such a downer about it.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Yeah, whether it's woodpeckers or.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Mouse season or septic tank overflow emergency sort of stuff.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
But for the first time in months, I actually have
some good news to share.

Speaker 5 (06:03):
About my new home.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Okay, I realized that I'm only five months away from
grape season.

Speaker 5 (06:11):
Okay, grapes.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Because there's there's a giant grapevine that grows around my
balcony and the leaves on it are just starting to bloom,
which means by September October, the baby grapes are gonna
be ready for harvest.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Great, jeff what are you going to do with are
they wine?

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Gret First, I have to be able to keep all
the wild animals and the birds away from meeting them,
and to put up the required netting to keep it safe.
That and meet with the grapeologists about the right eco
friendly pesticides to use.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
That's what they're calling I know it sounds like a lot.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
But if I do that, then now you guys have
a friend who basically owns his own vineyard.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
You're deck railing grapes count as a vineyard. Mitchell's wine
cellar better.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
I even got pretty cool, all right, jeff, Yeah, you
know what's allowed.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
I say, I was gonna put it in my calendar,
but I'm not.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
Okay, more grapes for me than fine. Text in seven, eight, five,
nine two, and tell us what's been on your mind.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
It's Brook and Jeffrey in the morning. Brook and Jeffrey
in the Morning.
