your Second Day podcast, and today it's all about xes,
my friends, because we're not doing just one but two
say yes to the exes. Yeah, chaos, as if one
X on the phone wasn't enough drama. Yeah yeah, let
us know in the comments if you'd say yes to
any of your exes and you wanted to be on
the show, you know, we can always try to make

(00:22):
that happen.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
What do you see in the comments, Alexis.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Yeah, Caitlin Burge said, I'm so excited I get to
have my baby on a weekday so I can listen
to y'all's podcast while I'm in labor.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Amazing, God, that's sweet.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
You know what, I.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Made a labor playlist and guess what it never got played.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
Okay, well, why what did Michael do?

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Chaos?

Speaker 2 (00:43):
It's a chaos, it's more pain and agony.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Yeah, okay, we're doing this, but yeah, yeah, okay, good
luck with your birth. Yes, didn't mean to freak you out.
It's gonna go great.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
I hope it's quick, easy and he come out with
a beautiful, healthy baby.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
While listening to our show. Ye, all right, this episode
is birth free. Yeah, and it starts right now.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Do you think it's actually possible for people to change?

Speaker 5 (01:15):
I don't know. Ye.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
I mean, look at Darth Vader.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
He went from galactic mass murderer to redeemed Father of
the Year.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
I didn't say that.

Speaker 5 (01:27):
Talking.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
He got the award at the end of the movie.
That's not sad, okay even know like that?

Speaker 4 (01:33):
What What about Taylor Swift?

Speaker 3 (01:36):
She went from writing break up country songs about her
exes to writing breakup pop songs about her exes.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
You're gonna trigger some people.

Speaker 5 (01:43):
Job, she did it.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
She changed, and now she's married. She's engaged to be married.
People can turn their lives around.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
I feel like you gave two examples of people who
are the same.

Speaker 4 (01:56):
I didn't really well. Today.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
Our listeners are hoping that their exes have changed into new,
upstanding people that they actually wanted to do. So let's
find out if it's true when we reconnect them and
let the sparks.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
Fly us up for hope. It's during a brand new
say Yes to the X.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
Right after this, it's Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning,
and it's time for another eye watering pants tightening edition
of Say Yes to the X.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
I don't understand that, because that doesn't happen for me.
I thought you meant we were going to eat a
lot of stuff.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Oh yeah, No, feel free to shove whatever you want
to your mouth during this segment.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
We won't judge you.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
But this, if you've never heard it, it's where we
help our listeners reach out to an old flame to
see if maybe they want to try pouring some gas
on those dying embers.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
Spark it back up one more time.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
And we've actually had multiple requests come through lately for
this particular segment. So today we're going to do it
a little different and try to reconnect not one, but
two former couples at the same time.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
What is this like a group thing?

Speaker 1 (03:08):
I mean people could do group things.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
Yeah, I thought you would fight me more on it.
We're just gonna be one at a time.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
I was like, how is this gonna la pay attention
and follow along.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
I appreciate you guys are open for chaos, But we've
got a guy named Bobby on the phone looking to
rekindle one of his previous emotional dumpster fires.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
So hey man, welcome to the show.

Speaker 6 (03:29):
Hey, I appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Even with that intro you do interesting.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
Yeah, you're putting yourself out there.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
So tell us who's your ex and why you wanted
to do this segment with us.

Speaker 5 (03:40):
Yeah, so my ex his name is Ashley. Ashley, and
we were together for a year and a half. We
were we were everything married, We had everything with the
paperwork in the matching towels.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
You had babies together.

Speaker 6 (03:55):
We didn't have babies together.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
Okay, so not everything except marriage. Now, I don't know
if I could trust you.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Did you have a pet together?

Speaker 5 (04:02):
We did have a pet together.

Speaker 6 (04:03):
We do have a pet together.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Oh okay, so you guys are still connected in a
lot of ways.

Speaker 5 (04:08):
I mean, yeah, it just happened Monday with the breakup.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Yeah, wait what happened Monday? Walk us through what happened Monday?

Speaker 5 (04:17):
Okay, Well it wasn't just I guess. We we fight
like every couple. Nothing like toxic or anything like that.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Okay, just like normal arguments.

Speaker 5 (04:25):
Yeah, we get passionate, and I know this is I
know we're on the radio and everything, but we had
good makeup fun.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
After Yeah, the Monopoly game afterwards, something.

Speaker 4 (04:36):
That like I got that one.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Yeah, Oh, I got what you're saying. Human Jenga. Okay,
tower's coming down. All right, let's just focus more on
your Nashley's relationship.

Speaker 4 (04:49):
What was the argument about?

Speaker 5 (04:51):
Yeah, I mean, that's what I want to know too.
I I don't really remember necessarily what exactly was about?
Something small?

Speaker 2 (04:57):
I'm sure was it about you not being a good listener.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
I couldn't have anything to do with it, Alexis.

Speaker 5 (05:05):
I've never heard her say that before.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Okay, wait, okay, so did you are you out of
the apartment right now that you guys were sharing.

Speaker 5 (05:12):
Yeah, I'm standing in a buddy's house and she completely
blocked me, Like my phone goes straight to voicemail. What
I tried to call her?

Speaker 4 (05:19):
Okay, good, Well, she can't block us yet.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
So I feel like we've had we have enough information
about your relationship, and it sounds like.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
You really love Ashley, which is good.

Speaker 6 (05:28):
Yeah, one of a kind.

Speaker 5 (05:30):
It was a really great connection, and I don't think
I don't want to give up one it yet.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Okay, And because we're doing two of these today, we're
going to speed it up a little bit and just
bring Ashley on the phone right now.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
I love it because Bobby. Here's the deal.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Our producer was able to get a hold of Ashley.
She's been waiting on hold. She has no idea why
we contacted her, and can't hear what we're saying right now.
But we're just going to bring her on. We'll talk
to her a little bit and then find out if
she's up for saying yes to the X.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
I feel like this is fiery if she's blocked you
and this only happened on Monday.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
Or big misunderstanding and we all laugh and smile and
hug at the end of this.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
That's usually how these go.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
Yep, that's why he hasn't talked to me in three
It was accidental. Okay, here we go. Let's just let's
punch her up. Ashley.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
You there, Hello, Hey, Ashley, thanks for being on the
show with us today.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
I on Brooke and Jeffrey in the morning on the
on the show.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Remember our producer called you.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
Yeah, so now we're now we're live on the radio.

Speaker 6 (06:35):
I'm just confused.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
Our producer didn't tell you all the details of what
we're doing here. That guy, Oh god, Okay, so here
is the situation we're calling you about a guy you
went out with kind of recently.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Dated, went out with.

Speaker 4 (06:53):
I don't I don't want to label it.

Speaker 6 (06:56):
Are you Are you kidding? Are you joking?

Speaker 4 (06:59):
I don't know if you know who I'm talking about.

Speaker 6 (07:02):
I know what you're talking about.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
Just tell her Bobby.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
Okay, well she blew it. It's Bobby. Yeah?

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Are you?

Speaker 6 (07:13):
Are you kidding?

Speaker 5 (07:14):
First?

Speaker 2 (07:15):
I want to say sorry about the breakup that sucks you.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Guys broke up?

Speaker 4 (07:18):
Is that true? Depending what thank you? Or is it
a misunderstanding? It was a real break misunderstanding?

Speaker 6 (07:25):
Oh my gosh, Okay, definitely not. I don't even know
why I'm on air like this is ridiculous.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
Okay, Well, the thing about this segment we're doing, called
Say Yes to the X, is that we talked to
Bobby and he said these things about you. He said,
number one best relationship he's ever been in in his
entire life.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
Yes, yeah, that's a really sweet thing to say.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
And the second thing is he said, your makeups together
after a big fight.

Speaker 4 (07:56):
Nothing like it.

Speaker 6 (07:59):
She actually said that.

Speaker 4 (08:01):
Hinted as as a compliment to you.

Speaker 6 (08:04):
Compliment. Okay, So we.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
Just want to know why, what was the reason that
you two broke up?

Speaker 4 (08:11):
If you had to like put it in a short
little paragraph.

Speaker 6 (08:14):
I feel like I'm on like a this this doesn't
feel real, like is there like a camera?

Speaker 4 (08:21):
Okay, and maybe it was a bad idea of us
to try and do two of these. We probably should
have just done one. But time here, so you could
just tell us what we get.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
She's gonna say it, and then we're gonna have to
say will you go back out with him?

Speaker 1 (08:32):
Right after?

Speaker 4 (08:34):
This is really running in on her time to explain
what happened.

Speaker 6 (08:38):
So okay, all right, so if you want the lowdown,
he's got a new girlfriend, just so you know, he's
a big.

Speaker 5 (08:45):
Iron with a girlfriend.

Speaker 6 (08:48):
Yeah, less than a week, and he wants the Netflix account.
I pay for the Netflix, so that's the only reason
he's calling me.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
Does that mean he was cheating? Did you find him cheating?

Speaker 6 (08:58):
Probably?

Speaker 2 (09:02):
You think once is the Netflix password and that's what
he's using our segment.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
For right now?

Speaker 5 (09:06):
Literally literally, yes, Hey, Netflix is like really expensive.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
Yeah again, Jose, we are late on time, So don't
I don't know if this is helping our cause.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Can we just talk to Bobby and see if that's
actually what he wanted?

Speaker 3 (09:19):
Yeah, So let's just at this point. Tell you Ashley
that Bobby has been listening to this call. Here we
go moving forward, and he is ready to jump in
and prove how much.

Speaker 4 (09:27):
He misses you.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
Right, we're doing this is within a short time.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
Threat, yes, very quickly, win you back, Bobby, go for it.

Speaker 5 (09:33):
I mean, look, I'm not gonna sit here and deny
any of that, but I mean, on top of it,
on top of it, though, we had a real connection,
and I don't think that we need to give up
on it so quickly.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
You have a girl yet already tell Bobby.

Speaker 6 (09:49):
Act it was just way less complicated.

Speaker 5 (09:51):
You have been dating this new chick for like seventy
two hours and it's just already a lot.

Speaker 4 (09:57):
Actually, you probably feel really bad about that.

Speaker 6 (10:00):
Can I can I tell you something?

Speaker 4 (10:01):
Oh, she's gonna say, yes, you made your.

Speaker 6 (10:04):
Bed, go sleep on it.

Speaker 4 (10:06):
Oh is that an invitation?

Speaker 5 (10:07):
I'm not making my own bed. I'm sleeping on my
buddy's bed. You already know this, or you're just trying
to make me feel.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
We're out of time, is the bottom line.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
So the whole point of the segment is we need
to ask Ashley, would you say yes to your ex body?

Speaker 5 (10:22):
You think?

Speaker 3 (10:22):
What do you think he's had seventy two hours of
total regret.

Speaker 6 (10:29):
Definitely.

Speaker 5 (10:29):
No. Okay, can you really take me the password?

Speaker 1 (10:33):
No, you're off the account.

Speaker 4 (10:36):
You gotta get us not to fix some chill on
with you girl. Okay, well, you know what.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
It didn't work this time, but we'll try this again
with a brand new couple, an even faster edition of
Say Yes to the X.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
God, so much anxiety from all of this.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
Papa Pill. We're gonna do more after this.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
We're in the middle of a high speed, bullet trained
edition of Say Yes to the X.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
Well, just got hit in the face just like.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
We wanted where I mean, normally in this we're trying
to connect one couple over the course of a two
part segment, but not today.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
We're doing a two four at rapid speed, which.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
I'm actually glad we're just moving on since the first
guy just wanted the Netflix password.

Speaker 6 (11:16):
I know.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
The first one did not go well, and honestly, I'm
already a little bit worried about this second one because
the person who wrote us wanting to get back with
their X is not on the phone.

Speaker 4 (11:32):
Yes, it was a woman named Tasha.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
She wrote in saying she really, really could use our help,
but she's too shy to come on the show herself.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Okay, so we're just gonna talk for her, even though
we don't know what she needs help with.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
Well, I agree, Brook, unconventional, yes, but how many times
on this show have we made lemons out of lemonade?

Speaker 4 (11:53):
A lot? A lot?

Speaker 3 (11:56):
I said what I said, Let's make some lemons today, gang,
because this is what Tasha said in her email. She wrote,
I used to date a guy named Brian a few
years ago. I was all in on him, but he
only wanted a situation ship.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
Brian in decisive Brian.

Speaker 3 (12:13):
I went along with it for a while, but I
always wanted more so had to break it off.

Speaker 4 (12:17):
I'm hoping that he's.

Speaker 3 (12:18):
Matured by now and can actually see us getting back together,
and we'll want to try something for real this time.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
But you don't have any faith that Brian matured, Alexis.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
I'm just saying, like he didn't reach back out to her,
she wants to reach out again without him following up.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
Let's give the guy a little bit of credit. I
don't know him, but I believe. Okay, the guys on
there that can grow, I know them, but exactly relationship. Yeah,
we reached out to Tasha to do the segment, and
she does want us to still get in touch with Brian,
but did not want to be on the show herself.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
Okay, so we're just gonna call Brian for her.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
Well, we already have Brian on hold right now. Interesting again,
he doesn't know why he's here, and we don't have
a lot of time, so let's just get to him
and tell him the situation.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
So don't use that word we already got out there,
don't trigger back into the problem.

Speaker 4 (13:11):
We'll give him the deal. So here we got Brian.
You on the phone.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
Yeah, hi guys, hey man, welcome to the show.

Speaker 4 (13:19):
You're on with Brook and Jeffrey in the morning. Thanks
for being with us.

Speaker 6 (13:23):
Yeah, I guess, thanks for having I guess.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
So apparently you used to date a woman a few
years ago named Tasha.

Speaker 6 (13:34):
Okay, yeah, how do you know that?

Speaker 5 (13:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (13:36):
Good questions.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
Well, because Tasha wrote into our show.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
And she's been thinking about you, she sure has.

Speaker 5 (13:43):
Okay, yeah, all right than the first half, Yeah for sure.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
Now, the thing is, Tasha wanted to participate in this
segment we're doing.

Speaker 4 (13:53):
It's called Say Yes to the X.

Speaker 6 (13:57):
Say Yes to what.

Speaker 4 (14:00):
Well, we hope they can.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
Say yes at the end. You're you're her ex, right.

Speaker 4 (14:04):
You can just say yes, now we'll clip it and
we'll just move on.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
That would make it really easy for us. But basically,
Tasha has been out there in the world. She's met
other people, but still thinks of you as her number one,
and she's wondering if maybe things have changed over the
past few years where you'd want to try things again
with her.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
And actually try a relationship this time instead of just
a situation, right for real, real.

Speaker 4 (14:29):
I mean she wants to hang out.

Speaker 6 (14:32):
We can hang out.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
I'm there with that.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
Well, yes, she wants to hang out, but more than that, no.

Speaker 5 (14:37):
A lot.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
When he said hang out, I think he meant more
than that too. She's looking for a relationship, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
To hang out like where we talk like yeah, no.

Speaker 6 (14:48):
Not a movie or something to go on a day like.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
Yeah, I did start there a day.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
Yeah, that's where you Yeah, And she's wondering if you'd
be interested in a serious relationship this time instead of
just keeping it casual well like.

Speaker 4 (15:01):
Wearing a cumber But like, what did that mean?

Speaker 2 (15:03):
Not keeping a casual?

Speaker 4 (15:04):
Like what does that mean?

Speaker 2 (15:05):
Have you ever been in a relationship where you just
dated one other.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
Yeah, and no other girls in the picture.

Speaker 6 (15:14):
Yeah. I mean I've had situations where you're just boring
for a little bit.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
That's fine, boring for a little bit. You described it.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
I mean, it doesn't mean that you don't have other options.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
It means that you choose to not have other options.

Speaker 3 (15:29):
Maybe I'm not understanding exactly what she's talking about, but
if she wants to mess around, I'm.

Speaker 4 (15:33):
Down, Okay, I'm okay with that.

Speaker 6 (15:35):
I will say yes to hang around.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
Okay, what we're asking is not just messing around. We're
talking real dates, real effort flowers, anniversaries or official on
social media, changing the status on your relationship.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
Jeff has to you and her.

Speaker 4 (15:56):
Together for a long long time, just the two of you.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Like how long? All the time we were talking about
like over like over the weekend.

Speaker 4 (16:04):
On the weekend, he said, this isn't when.

Speaker 5 (16:07):
Tasha wants you want to go wait for like a
three day cruise.

Speaker 6 (16:10):
What are we talking about you?

Speaker 1 (16:11):
Yes, well, hey, we should give her that offer.

Speaker 4 (16:14):
That is kind of romantic.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
Okay, we're not paying for a crew.

Speaker 4 (16:17):
Now, no, and we don't do that.

Speaker 3 (16:19):
So look, I uh we're officially out of time now,
so this is weird because she's not even on the
phone with us.

Speaker 5 (16:25):
But we need that.

Speaker 4 (16:26):
Jeff, just say that.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
Tell her he said yes, no, hangout.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
Yeah, that's gonna crush that we need to find out
for real. Brian, if you're willing to say yes to
your ex Tasha for an official relationship, you would have
a girlfriend again.

Speaker 6 (16:44):
Yes, I am more than happy to hook up with.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
This is what we're gonna do.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
We're just gonna write Tasha back and tell her we
couldn't get a hold of you.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
What we're gonna do.

Speaker 4 (16:56):
That's what we're gonna say.

Speaker 3 (16:57):
This was obviously a bad idea, not just this segment,
but it's it's clear that you're not ready Brian for
anything on one.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
I'm happy we had less time on this one.

Speaker 4 (17:05):
Yes, so I don't know. This was a shot in
the dark and it did exactly what we thought it
would do. Just go absolutely nowhere. But Brian, hey.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
Man, I'm willing to hook up in a dark two y.

Speaker 4 (17:20):
Thanks for your time, man, you keep doing you.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
Uh So, yeah, that was say yes to the X
double Edition Total film.

Speaker 6 (17:28):
So yeah, I have an ex called Tiffany.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
Can you tell her that I'm.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
Hung up on him. We don't need you. It's brooking
Jeffrey in the Morning's brooking Jeffrey in the morning.

Speaker 3 (17:42):
You know, I think for a total train wreck, that
actually went pretty well. What part were you the part
where we got through the segment?

Speaker 1 (17:52):
