(01:46):
your hands together for the one and only CEO of
Lumpy's Flowers and a fellow Spartan from San Jose State.
I find out mister Josh Real in the buildings. Josh,
thank you for having me. It was great, Josh, to
catch up with you outside a little bit to learn
your you know, history, being born out here in LA
and then moving to the Bay bouncing around the Bay area.
(02:07):
You went to San Jose State, Like I went to
San Jose State. That's dope. But a little bit about that.
Let the listeners know. You said you were born in Torrance. Yeah.
I was born in Torrance actually, and we lived out
here until about seven or eight. My dad was from
the Bay Area, so we moved to a small town
right outside of San Francisco between Sacramento called Backaville. Course,
you know, it's definitely a nice prison over there. Yeah,
(02:31):
outlets and we got a prison and that's about it.
And JC, if I'm not mistaken, No, right next door,
right one town over. Yes, did you visit either one
of them? Nope. I try to stay away from that
school and that prison. So that's always fun right there.
Having the roots in LA like that to stay in
(02:52):
California like this, and then you went to San Jose State.
Why did you become a spartan um? Yeah, real quick.
You know, grew up in Vacaville, started had gotten too football.
You know, I didn't start playing football to my sophomore year.
You know, my size obviously was the right fit for
that game, and then kind of got uh ended up
going flex. Yeah, yeah, I know. I ended up in
(03:14):
reading for two years, which is a you know, small
thing is kind of where I got into really starting
to get into cannabis. And then I got a full
ride to university. Uh sounds like state actually wanted to
excuse me, got a full ride to Houston, moved to
Texas for about sixty to ninety days, and was like, yeah,
I'm California. This is not for me. So uh, the
just you know, everybody knew you were from California, and
(03:36):
you know, I loved all respect to Texas. They take
great pie in their state, but like they don't like
California people and they let you know that. So like
I was like, yeah, this isn't for me. So I
transferred out to sound all the state and uh ended
up spending uh my my second half of college out there.
And then that's kind of what got me into cannabis
was the real estate market was going crazy in two
(03:58):
thousand and six and everybody was doing one hundred percent
five financing. Everybody had five holes is working at Burger King.
But you know, some of the people were like, well,
we got to do something to pay this rent. So
that's kind of where I started getting into growing was
I had these properties and it's like, what am I
gonna do? Now? You know you can't rent them out?
So that's what kind of started driving me to get
into cannabis and the first thing. And it was right
out of college there, Yeah, right right right out of college.
(04:20):
What position did you play in college? Defensive tackle? Oh?
Really a d okay. I was left tackle as well,
So I've been trying to block your big ass. He
Satose State been doing good. I was just talking to
Deese's dad yesterday. You know, Deese, the tight end that
was over there, did big records for San Jose State.
They won the division there when he was playing tight end,
and I was talking to his dad. I don't know
if you know. His dad played for the Niners. Derek
(04:40):
Deese won two Super Bowl rings there. And ironically we're
just chopping up the day he's gonna come by the studio.
You're gonna meet this dude. He went to USC and
his son now it's gonna play for the Detroit Lions.
He's actually playing tight end for them now this season. Yeah,
I was catching up with him because my boy JV
has been passed, so we're talking about that all stuff.
And just funny to hear San Jose State be brought
up again as I heard more conversations in life about
(05:03):
other things and other players. Seeing that program do so well.
Wasn't so hot when I was there. Did a little
better when you were there and starting to do I
just started to get a little bit better. And I
think it got better after after I left from there
and when they changed the divisions and went to the
Mountain West. Yes, I mean they have the you know,
stadium was nice. They had the weight rooms there. Uh,
you know, it's more of a commuter college. They say,
(05:23):
the fan base isn't isn't there as far as as
strong as it should have been, like Stanford in Berkeley. No,
not at all exactly, you know, But I mean, like
I said, Santos straight, great school, great city, you know,
great people. Uh. You know, I love the South Bay,
so that's always going to be home to me, you know. Yeah,
And the grow for you starts out there in San Jose,
which is um That's where I got into home owns,
(05:44):
doing financing and stuff. I've always been a numbers guy.
So I started buying houses and you know, a Vacaville
and Sacramento and then that drove me back out this
way and then got me into uh like I said, yeah,
cultivation is what got me down leading down the road.
Uh was real estate and cannabis kind of go hand
in him were you were you Lumpies? Where'd you get
the name of Lumpies? So? Uh, past foward when I
(06:06):
started growing out there, went to a hydro shop, um,
you know, and I bought like a six acre ranch
and had like a three thousand square foot building on it.
So I'm like, hey, I need an age back guy
that I can trust. He's like, oh, I got a guy.
And so you know this, this guy comes out ballheaded,
you know, a white guy about my height, and uh
you know his name Jason, and like that's who Lumpy is,
(06:26):
that's his nickname. So I ended him meeting him and
then uh, you know he saw my grow He's like, well,
my parents, you know, live in Nappa, Like I should
be growing on their property too. Yeah. Yeah, after that,
I started growing up for a couple of years. You know,
we were acquaintance is not really close friends. Um, I
ended up getting rated. You know, and so I got
(06:47):
to go through all of that, got out of jail,
and uh she did visit back Ville. Oh yeah, yeah,
PD he definitely visited me. Yeah, they know, they came
and raided to me. I had you know, I think
at that time six on her plant, so that was
a big number for them. Um, but were you licensed
at that time? No, this was two thousand and eight,
(07:07):
so this was still a medical gray area. Yeah, so
six hundred still too much to be the medical exactly.
So you know, they they ended up yet, you know,
busting me, raiding me there. You know, I had to
fight you know, court for three years on that case.
And then when I had got out, you know, I
hit up Jay and I was when I got back
more in the real estate flipping houses. I'm like, okay,
I'm gonna take a breather, and uh, you know, he
(07:29):
had like a greenhouse and some of the stuff molded.
But he was like, dude, just you tremit, you clean
it up. But at the time, I you know, I
was probably ended up fifteen thousand dollars with the product
that you know. I mean, I was able to get
back on my feet, and I'm like I kind of
met him one day, I'm like, hey, you know, like,
why did you You know we were cool, but we
were like why did you why did you plug me
like that. He's like, dude, if it wasn't for you
doing show me your grow I would have never expanded
(07:51):
out of like a bedroom. Basically. Wow. So I'm only
here because you you showed me the way to like, hey,
I could do this. So you know, we've always had
a mutual respect for that. And then, you know, I
still took a break up flipping houses, and then I
Instagram came out, and you know, I'm filling I'm flipping
houses one day and the dude's like, hey, you know
this guy Rightle'm status and I'm like, nah, I don't
have Instagram. I'm like who, And he's like this is
(08:12):
this is Jason. I'm like, thirty two thousand people are
following this guy. And he's like yeah, I'm like, Jason,
don't talk to six people in person, let alone like
has he had thirty two thousand people following him? So
my light bulb went off, you know, instantly, and was like, wow,
this is a source of branding. This has changed the game,
you know. So I called him up one day and
I brought him out to my house. I'm like, dude,
you know how much for everything? Like he had popped
(08:35):
h you know, the origination was he popped four seeds
and got apple fritter out of one of them, and that's,
you know, what our staple is as a company, you know.
And so he had just done that and a couple
of things. I'm like, you know, I'll give you half
a million for your whole genetic library. I want it all.
And he's like, fucking have it, you know what I
mean here? Really? So I sat back and I said,
you know what, like we could go further as a
(08:56):
partnership than it is than me, you know, doing this.
So I said, you know what, let's just be partners.
So he's like all right. So we ended up getting
a Like I said, I'm really good in real estate.
So I found us a warehouse in Sacramento. We ended
up being one of the pre registered ones in two
thousand and sixteen. So we went from both of us
were growing in our garages at that time, went to
the warehouse and then uh from there just you know,
(09:19):
we've just been fully licensed warehouse. So that was twenty
four thousand square feet We got into that um in
two thousand and sixteen. We grew until two eighteen nineteen,
and then Sacramento. The head of Sacramento's cannabis division went
to U Marijuana bisincon in Vegas was hanging out with
some dispensary owners. The city got wind of it. Supposedly,
(09:41):
you know, they didn't. They accused him or whatever taking bribes,
something shady something. So they kind of went down the
list of pre pre pre growers, other people that were
allowing us to come, you know, illegally and go continue
to grow as we got legal, and they kind of
went down, shook the list up and was like, we
don't want to have anything that looks like we're giving
you know, a priority or anything to anybody. So they
(10:01):
came in our warehouse one day and was like, you know,
we had put up a couple of walls preemptibly the
building permit being approved and fire came in, were like hey,
you know in the building conspectors like we're shutting you down.
You know you have you have nineteen or he has
you have twenty minutes to shut your building down. At
this point, we have a million dollars or with the
weed growing we have twenty employees. I'm like, bro, I
can't shut this building down in one minute. He's like,
(10:22):
our twenty minutes. He's like, you're right, you got nineteen yeah,
so you know, wow, so lo and behold. Nineteen minutes
later they may have clear everything out, shut the power off,
locked it up. You know, we got all these plants
and they were just dying. So we had to go
in and you know, cut all our genetics and get
our get o our clones into a safe space so
(10:43):
we don't lose our genetics. And then, uh, you know,
I call it magic, some people call it favors. Who knows.
We never found out, but you know, somehow the the
lock got unlocked and the power came back on the
next day, and so, you know, we just continue to
go on down business. And then we got a season
assist two weeks later, and you know, we were we
(11:04):
the whole deal ideal was we needed to get our
building permit and we were days away from getting it.
And I remember I went in on on a Monday
and to the building partment, I say, hey, you know,
is the building permit ready? And the guy that ended
up shutting us down. Originally it was like I'll let you,
I'll call you when it's ready. And then Wednesday morning
I went to go check the grow at seven am
and there was uh six police cars. You know, a
(11:25):
wood chipper. When you see that, the wood chipper, yeah,
d So you know you pull in, um, you know,
try to do act lost and they're like, nah, buddy,
we've been looking for you. Step over. Yeah so it
got lost na, yeah exactly, Like where are I supposed
to be out? So yeah, they ended up arresting me,
(11:46):
putting me in the back of the cop car for
seven hours where they you know, molished our building, you know,
cut down all of our crops. You should you know,
it's a licensed facilities. It is a licensed facility. So
that's just the worst. Yeah. So that was the worst
feeling in the world. Um, you know, and then they
have to like, you know, have twenty people look at
you like what am I gonna do tomorrow? Like how
am I going to pay my bills? Like I was
(12:07):
working here. You know, you're let him down, and you know,
you just you know, it's it was a horrible feeling.
But you know, it took us a couple of months,
like what are we gonna do? They shut the power off.
They locked us out there, like you can't even step
back into this building until they red attacked it. So
I went to jail on Wednesday. I'm like, all right,
just you know. They finally took me to jail for
(12:29):
seven hours being in a cop car. I went to
go bail out that night. They're like, ah, you can't
bail out. I'm like, what do you mean, or like
you got you got arrested on a drug dealer charge,
so we need to know where the money's coming from
to bail you out. So I had to wait two
days and you know, have a friend that had nothing
to do with cannabis come and and you know, boast
post my bail. And they finally let me out I
think Friday night. So I spent three days in the
(12:50):
Sacramento County jail and who anybody's ever been there, that's
that's the closest place to get to hell as you
can get. Like it's disgusting. So got out on Friday
night and uh checked my emails. First thing I did
Friday morning. They had emailed me our building permit, like
here you go. So I'm like, okay, game on, yeah,
game on. So at that point, you know, they had
(13:13):
cut the power. We went to the warehouse. Immediately from
I got out of jail. Somebody had broken in. They
stole both our safes because we didn't have any power
at no you know, no security. Yeah, so they took that.
You know, we had five thousand dollars with the apparel
that every homeless person was wearing for the next six months.
Love these was official day. It was everywhere, you know.
So that kind of happened, and then by a week
(13:35):
went by, it I just you know, I called a
meeting and I said, look, man, like, there's two things
we can do. We can run and go to Oklahoma
and we could crush it out there. They're killing it,
you know. And this was twenty nineteen. I said, or
we can stay here, you know, borrow a million to
finish this building and show them that we're not going anywhere.
And I can't promise you that they're gonna let us operate,
you know, And so we said, screw it, let's put
the money in it. You know. We borrowed money from
(13:57):
everybody we knew. We went through the thing, and the
guy that shut us down, I was like, I'm gonna
be at every inspection. I said, I hope you are.
And it took us six months. We built it out,
went through every inspection. You know, I'm fighting with the
head of Cannabis every day, you know, like, you know,
what can we do? Like how can we like we're
not we weren't trying to do anything, like we're here,
you know, we so they're like, I remember I was
in San Diego. We're about halfway through the build and
(14:17):
I'm talking to the head of Cannabis at that time,
and it was the city attorney had taken over for
the person that they dismissed. And I'm on the beach
in San Diego. It's eight o'clock. I call her at
eight oh one, got her on the phone. And at
this point, after they had rested me, Sack had sued
sued me for three point two million dollars. What they
did was for every plant that was in the building,
(14:39):
they charged you five hundred bucks. So I had six thousand,
six hundred and four plants equaled three point two million
in fines. Fire hit me with twenty five grand. Cannabis
hit me with five, you know, so they stacked up
all these plus the red tag and so you know,
we in a licensed facility, in a license it's somewhere
that you were doing it all right at pretty much
(15:00):
over building permits over some small stuff that we already
had submitted for. So, you know, we get halfway through
the build. I got her on the phone and she goes,
of course, she said, I'll never forget. She says, well,
you know what, she goes, some people around here don't believe,
don't believe in second chances, and like, basically you're not.
There's no way you're gonna operate this building. So I said,
all right, we'll see about that. Hung up. We finished
(15:20):
the building. The guy that shut us down originally walked
the building. He said, man, he looked at me, goes,
I don't know if they're gonna let you operate, but
this is the nicest building that I've ever walked in Sacramento.
And we built it with me my partner Lumpy, in
the four or five growers that were still left over
that you know, had no construction knowledge. You know, I
flip houses, so I did the general. My partner, Lumpy,
his dad's own an HVAC company for years, so he
(15:42):
does all our HVAC. So we built that with our
hands and this guy saw it like, you're like, I
shut you down, Like, but I gotta give you you guys.
He goes, you got my vote, you know, and this
was a dude that shut you down on your helmet.
You got my vote. So at that time, the original
lady I had been arguing what shifted over to another attorney.
I'm sitting in the meeting. I'm saying, look, this isn't
We're not going anywhere, you know. I'm basically, you know,
(16:04):
me and Jason are the majority owners of It's it's
damn near a black owned business. On top of this,
I'm a core applicant. I've been arrested, you know, for
for this though, I said, this has got to be
a better way to do this. So, uh, we ended
up negotiating a deal um for basically, uh seven hundred
thousand paid out over ten years, no interest, you know,
so it's five thousand, five hundred bucks a month. But
(16:26):
my part of the deal was I wanted our original
permits back so that whenever this comes up, you didn't
reissue me anything. You gave me what was already in place.
So we have all of our original permits from the
day that we that we that we filed from day one,
so nice, yeah, and it was so that ended up
being good. And at that point, you know, you can't
buy street cred like that, you know, I mean, because
everybody was talking, Oh they got shut down for selling
(16:48):
packs out the back door, they got this, they got
that what they wanted to make exactly, you know, And
I had to go to Hall of Flowers and I
remember that everybody's like, oh, what's up. You know, it's like, well,
you know, I don't take that. And so to get
that and then to build another building twice the size
a year later, the building department knew who we were.
They're like, you guys build you know your great pass.
(17:08):
You're like, you build your owner builders. So I wouldn't
take that back, you know what I mean, Like the
amount of money we lost, yes, but to get that
that one, like I said, the street creditors show that man,
we're in a brand that we're here and we're not
going anywhere. And to get the respect from the city
and the Building department really just you know, helped out.
Because we've done more projects since then, and now you know,
they know who we are, they know that we don't
build trash We're here to stay, We're here to employ people.
(17:31):
You know, like it's we're true owner operator, owner builders.
So have you seen have you seen the city? And
you know everybody else changed since that date. When we
come back, it's cannabis Top one to one. We'll be
right back, I mean this day, we'll be right back
with cannabis Top one oh one, Cannabis Tuck one one

eighty is the number to call us for some of
those or else. Just go online Cannabis Talk Magazine dot
com and subscribe. Now, Josh, that story that you just
said was so crazy, Yeah, man, I mean I can
only imagine your heart dropping in your big ass and
(19:45):
just sitting there with your boy lumps, like just taking
lump after lump like that. The name even fits you
guys even more. Yeah, you know what I'm saying, because
we take a lumping and keep on dumping. I mean, dog,
that's just gotta hit. And now you gotta payment for
the next X amount of years for fifty five that's no,
(20:05):
are you just paying that? Oh yeah? Oh yeah, yeah
he has to paying that one. I'm not gonna pay.
I'm gonna happen. Yeah, I have no reason for that,
especially free. That's a great thing. Blue was asking to
have you seen the city yet? And what was that?
How's the city treating you now? I mean, are they
more involved? Do they still kind of edgy out with
you guys or no? Actually, since then, they hired a woman,
Divina from um she comes from like Humble area, and uh,
(20:29):
you know, her parents were really kind of into the scene,
so they really and she has a legal background, so
they kind of hired like the perfect person for the job,
so she's great to work with. Nice. I think at
this point it's just like anything else. You know, there's
four people in that office. They need twelve we bring
in more than enough tax money to pay for twelve,
(20:50):
but we're all we're getting this fort to you know,
four people, and it's they've evolved, you know, they evolved,
but it's like they need Nobody wants to take any
of this candidate tax money and put it back into
what's making this money, know, the cannabis industry itself, and they,
you know, like so I'd say they're severely understaffed in
the city, but you know, they are great to work with.
Inspectors are great to work with now, but you know,
it's all this taximony we pay. It's like, you know,
(21:12):
we can't get anything that you know, they can't get
more people to help them, we can't get job training programs.
So I feel like the city has a lot more
they could do with the taximony that we're all paying,
you know. And it's funny because Sacramento seems like another
state sometimes and we're just here, you know, four or
five hundred miles away in southern California, but northern California.
Even when you're in you know, the city like San
(21:32):
Francisco or South based San Jose doing business and a
dispense who are grow? Is it different? In Sacramento than
it is amongst other areas in California, because I feel
like it's, you know, that smaller area, but yet you're
right next to You're the capital of the fucking California
for Nott six two, you know what I mean, Like
you got the politics there as heavy as it gets.
(21:53):
So yeah, i'd say Sacramento, we don't have the city aspect.
We don't have restaurants that stay open after nine o'clock.
That's what I mean. That counts a different area. It's
a different area. But you know, I'll stay this and
I stand behind it. We grow heat, you know, I mean,
like some of the best growers in the world grow
in Sacramento. You know, there's us, There's there's eighteen Labs.
There's Green Dog like Drew over there is crushing it
(22:13):
with his boys, Turtle Pie like I think, you know,
and I hear it from shoppers and buyers too when
they come to town. You know, they're like everybody. You know,
everybody knows like Sacramento really put I think continue to
put California on the map. It all started in the
Bay Area. But since then, you know, you have a
lot of good grows and grows in La. But you know,
per Kappa, I'd say that Sacramento grows the best weed
(22:36):
definitely at the best prices you know, in the world.
Right now, Like there's just there's nobody I think that's
really touching us on what we can do. So shout
out to everybody. It's in Sacramento's that because of real
estate as well being like the hundred of guys and
everything else that you guys can get there. We have
the staffing, you know, La, it's you know, it's two
three dollars a square foot. We're up there. Like you know,
I'm most of our lease rates are like eighty cents,
(22:57):
you know, I mean on a thirty year lease. So
on I'm good in real estate, you know, I mean
I negotiate good deals. But too, like there is a
lot more affordability and then you're not having you know,
places like Autolanto, which you know have some cool facilities,
but they just don't have the workstaff. You know, people
don't realize, you know, I was watching any Instagram this
morning with a shout out to day from Preferred. You Like,
(23:19):
it's more than just labor, it's skilled labor, you know,
I mean, it's not just can you just pick up
and shovel dirt all day, like you know, you need
to be able to read the sps, understand the soops
of how we run a garden. Like it's it's more
than just I just need a laborer to come do
this or pluck leaves. It's a lot more than And
I think a lot of people miss that fact. Yes,
you know, because you're right. I think there's people just
looking for a good deal and not realizing why their
(23:41):
cannabis is not coming out the way it should because
most people don't know this industry and so unfortunately they're
just like, oh, we can grow, like yeah, I'll read
a book, you know what I mean, And you're like
go ahead, man. You know, they start fighting out that,
like you know they're they're in the pesticide is like said,
don't work. You know, a lot of places come in.
It's like, oh, yeah, well the CEO came from Google
(24:03):
or came from list or good luck. Okay, so I'm
glad that you were out of successful silicon startup, but
this is not that, you know what I mean? Like,
do you know when the when the worst month is
for indoored? You know when the best month is we're
out there like you know, like you need to know
the seasons, and a lot of corporations I think don't where.
You know, me and Jason are at the gardens every
single day, you know what I mean. Like out of
(24:25):
we have you know, five facilities, three are up and running.
You know, out of the one hundred thousand square feet
that we're actively running, we're at one of the buildings
every day, every single day. And you know we're doing
you know, millions of dollars a year. I said that
we're one of the largest craft growers. We are, I said,
were the largest craft growers, self owned craft growers still
left nobody owns. Me and Jason owned close to eighty
(24:47):
percent of our company, and everybody else in there are
all like boys, Like we have three other guys that
gave us money in the very early you know, our
head of sales is you know, basically came in and
done a lot and just scot sweat equity. So there's
only five of us sit on there, and me and
Jason control most of that. And that's because we're there
every day. You know, We're about this life like you know,
and I don't think people realize what you have to
(25:07):
do to really make it and evolve, and the differences
with all these boards and these directors, you can't pivot.
I can pivot on a dime. I could be like
someone can call me today and be like, bro, do
not grow this anymore. And I could say stop all
production on this flavor immediately. I don't care, and it'll
happen immediately, where somebody else might be like, well, we
got seven more cycles coming down. When you crop weekly,
(25:29):
you're it's no longer you know, those two rooms that
take eight weeks to harvest. It's like you're harvesting every
single week. So if you're harvesting every week, like you
need to be able to evolve and see what's going on,
what's selling, what's not selling, you know a lot of
stuff just you know, people don't have their head on
the pulse. And I think that's what's the big difference
to us, is that we have the capability of knowing
(25:50):
what's going on in our company and even given time
or all. You know, the head of sales is an
owner of the company. You know, head of cultivation is
split between me and me and Lumpy, but you know,
mostly Lumpy on that. So then and then like anything
on you know, the distribution or anything like that. Like
we're all a very tight neck group. We know what's
going on at any given time, you know, I know,
you know when you said your finger on the pulse,
you know, I mean it's funny because like I understand
(26:13):
that because again a lot of people don't understand. One
day you might have you know, O G cush was
it was. It was a huge thing for a while,
and then all of a sudden it went into purples.
Then it was the zas and the exotics and and
and it was. And I feel like if you don't
have that finger on the pulse, then your product might
just sit there and die inside these stores. And so
(26:34):
so how do you guys keep that finger on the
pole by keeping your ear to the street obviously, I
mean you're to the street. Um, you know Jason Lumpy,
you know, he's he's like I said, he's more to introverts.
So he's been in the forums, you know, since forums
are days, So he knows people, you know, and has
built respects since then. So and then you know, with
me and my Jesse had of sales, like you know,
we're out in the field. We've met a lot of
(26:55):
people on that end, so yeah, definitely on that But honestly,
it's four It was like if you came up with
a new strain, it was two years before that think
was starting to die out. Nowadays it could be three months,
six months. Like the shelf life on things are just
not what it is. We're an instant society. We want
you know, you can stuff, order stuff on Amazon and
beat your house in thirty minutes. Like we don't wait
(27:16):
for anything anymore. So for us, you know, people talk about, oh,
we're pheno hunting, we're pheno hunting. Yeah, bullshit, are you
really pheno hunting? Because we take valuable space that it
could be making me fifteen to thirty thousand dollars a
month for the same amount of flower space, and we're
actually pheno hunting these things, and we're going through this
and we're crossing these things, and we're we're actually really
smoking through all this stuff and going and putting stuff.
(27:37):
So for us, we probably put out three to six
new flavors a year of solid product, where other people
are doing like, oh the cross was Zio's crossed with this?
But it's like, Bro, you didn't even take time to
developed because you didn't name it, and that tells me
you didn't really you just cross some stuff through it
out there, and like I got five pounds of this,
twenty pounds of this, But are you gonna actually follow
through million of this? You're gonna actually pheno hunt, You're
gonna make sure that this is the right one, that
(27:58):
it doesn't hurm out. So you know, I think we
take our time and find out what's going on. We
have access to clones that, you know, stuff that's not
out on the street shet that we get from friends.
They are like, hey, don't don't give this out, but
if you want to cross with it, you know, like
like we blessed with zope right now where very people
have don't have that, don't have that, and we do.
Like so we do get on that and we get
to cross stuff early, but it takes the time of
(28:20):
actually you know, following through and then you know, my
next play is like I can't grow any bigger. It's
just you get to the point where you you need
to have that happy medium. And that's where we're at now.
We're you know, one hundred and ten thousand square foot,
you know, craft grower. We're trying to do you know,
X amount of dollars a year. So my next evolve
evolve is we're getting into the you know, GenEx is
to the clone game, you know. I mean My thing is,
(28:41):
you know, if you you know, if you can't beat
them and get them to join you. You know what
I mean by that, I mean if everybody in the
world at one point grows some of our gear, like
how much bigger compliment is that, Like, yeah, we can
grow some of the best cannabis, but that's always going
to be relative to whoever's judging it, you know what
I mean, Like there is that, you know, I mean,
there's never gonna be like your war, They're going You're
going down as the best grower. It's like saying it
was the best rapper. It's all it's all on someone's opinion,
(29:03):
you know what I mean. So for me, never gonna
come out if you never can have you know, yeah, right, yeah,
I mean yeah, there's there's no way of judging that.
So for me, my judging is like, if you can
get somebody that takes their craft as serious as we
do to want to grow stuffing that we created, there's
(29:24):
no bigger honor than that, you know, I mean, And
you know that's a way of competing with instead of
trying to just race to the bottom or try to
do this or try to that. Always stay you know, yeah,
we're gonna always evolve. But you know, besides going to
other states, what's the better way of doing it? You know,
I think there's a real huge lacking clones and that's
why you have so much crap out there. Like people
are still growing wedding cake. It's like, I don't care
(29:45):
if you're owned buy an Amazon person, you should know
by now stop growing wedding cake, you know what I mean?
Like stop that stop, you know what I mean? Like
I just, I just it's crazy. So for me, I
want to start actually getting getting with good growers and
giving them good stuff to actually run versus some of
the stuff that you go around sack or La or
aut Alanto. And it's like everybody's growing the same stuff
that they got from the same couple of nurseries. That
(30:05):
really isn't that great, you know. So what is Lumpy's
exactly known for? What are your guys' top brands? So,
like you know, Jason Scott his kind to fame with
apple fritter. We have Reckless our apple Hayes and then
now you know we have probably twenty we have you know,
ben and berries, Uh, Cherry Jane Jane Doe, Apples and
oranges is coming out, um, lemon trail. Uh. You know,
(30:29):
there's there's a lot. Everybody's making my mouth water. But
I mean we've always been more on the fruity side,
Like we have some gassier strains, but we've more been
on the on the you know, fruit side, and that's
where we stay. And like, you know, we do have
some gassier stuff, but that's just kind of where we're at.
We have some some peanut butter toasts that just came out,
you know, and it's it was cool. We were Jar
people for a long time, never wanted to be in Milar,
(30:49):
But now what Milar allows us to do is just
you know, each strand kind of has its own character,
has its own bag, and it really is kind of
fun to dive into, like you know, how much people
actually buy off of bags, Like you know, like I'm
like there's stuff that other brands that we won't name,
like don't really grow good stuff, but they don't have
this cool name on it with a cool bag and
people will buy it. So yeah, no, I see that
(31:09):
happening right now. It's like it's it's mediocre. Yeah it's good,
but it has a really dope design on it, and
then and it becomes a quick fad um. But I think,
you know, I think there's a right now, there's even
been a war going on with like you know, TC
levels or typeenes right, you know, so what is it
for you guys? Or is it both? Or you know
(31:29):
how our typeines? You know, TC is at best it's
like the proof on alcohol, Like everybody will give me,
give me that hot damn or give me that you know,
one on one. I'm like, yeah that CARDI fifty one,
Like yeah, you start out that way, but you really
start realizing you can get drunk off you know, stuff
that tastes good. And so I'm must bring a lot
(31:52):
of people come around to that, you know, instead of
trying to go off TC. But with this standardized lab
testing that's coming out in July, you're gonna see a
lot of these forty two thirty six percent thhcs come
way back down where they need to be. And you know,
I think turpenes is a is a way better uh
you know, profile to go off of. And it's kind
of cool to see like similarity when you look at
(32:13):
the TURP means like TC is just the number, but
TURP means to kind of tell you what's in it,
what it identifies why you might get higher off that
when than other ones, like and I don't think people
have really dived into that, but but when you can
see more medical benefits, that's where you're so much benefits.
This works for my inflamation, This works for you know, inflammation.
I mean this works for this what works for that? Uh,
you don't get that off a TAC level, you know.
(32:33):
And now it's just well, I got forty two percent,
So you're telling me that forty two percent of this
bud is all THHC. No, it's not like it's impossible. No,
it's impossible. So yes, people run with it, and I
get it. That's how to keep your company alive because
a lot of these buyers they don't know the different
you know, half the buyers are the OG buyers that
you know what, know what to buy, and then half
(32:53):
of them are corporate owned stores that just go off THC.
And that's because their customers go off TAC. But that's
just bad education. I think it's the consumer right. The
consumer thinks that the consumer hasn't been educated. And I
think that if we get into more medical aspects of this,
which is this type of show that we like to
preach on, is learning that learning what your terpines are,
learning what your body does. And you know, there's even
(33:15):
these DNA test labs now that are doing your cannabis
DNA to figure out what's the best terpines are for you.
And I think more people should do that, especially if
they want to look at this plant for more medical aspect.
I mean, you want to smoke to get high, smoke
to get high, don't get it twisted, No, but if
you want to smoke and learn what's going to be
best for your body and be productively high, you can
get high and still be productive. You know. I don't
(33:37):
think people will realize that where you know, we have
that problem now as in an interview, and it's like
a lot of people that come work for us. You know,
we don't police our people like you could smoke at lunch,
but I do know if you smoke at lunch and
you come back and you work all of a lot slower.
We're gonna have a problem with that, you know, like
not everybody can smoke and just work. It's just did
all depends. But I think that the more you dial
in what reacts to your body, it's so much better
(33:57):
for you than just oh, I just want to get high,
you know, even even here for us, like when we
first you know, opened up and this is you know,
we're talking twelve years ago. You know, it was more
of a you know, let's smoke, hang out, let's work,
blah blah blah. And then I start realizing, like, you're right,
some people cannot operate um, you know high, they just
don't know how to get down like that, you know.
And then there's other people that don't know how to
(34:18):
operate unless they're high. And it's like it's crazy because
you know, you really have to to know those people.
But you're right, you know, we don't. We don't police
our people either. But you know, at the same sense,
if if you know they're coming in here and they're
just like, okay, what's up, bro, Like you're good, all right,
and then they snap out of it, they're good, that's cool.
(34:40):
But if it's like and it's like they always just
you know, you're like, hey, look, you gotta stop getting high.
But you cannot be this high at work, you know.
And some people think that that's not part of the culture,
so they want to leave. And it's like, well, then
then leave, and that's cool too. The culture is going
to exist by people being successful and yeah, just get
high and just chill, you know. And I think a
(35:01):
lot of people don't realize that. They just see the
either the glitz of the glamor or they just want it,
and it's like there's so much more that goes behind it.
Like I never thought that, you know, I'd be a
part of a building like our big building we did.
It's fifty two thousand square feet. You know, it costs
US seven million dollars to build that out. I'd never
to this day, I've never seen seven million dollars at
one time. But to think that just how much goes
(35:22):
into all of this. You know, we got ten million
dollars in all these buildings. I don't we can't sit
around and just get a high, like, hey, hopefully the
workers do what they need to do, you know, they're like, no,
you got you gotta manage you gotta do that. And
you know, I still flip houses on the side for
real estate. It's like all these nice cars you see
them driving. It's not just from cannabis, like it's from hustling.
It's you know, we're in it for the long time. Like,
(35:43):
you know, my daughter's going to be twelve this month,
and she's like, Dad, don't you dare sell it before?
I have at least one year to be a part
of that company. So I tell all the time, I
got ten more years in this industry before I can
go anywhere, you know. Like, so, I don't think people
realize how much really goes into this stuff, how serious
you have to take it. And you know, I met
a lot of good growers that aren't good business people.
I've met a lot of good business people that have
(36:04):
no idea what's going on in growing or retail. So
I think we're you know, we're blessed to have, you know,
a well rounded crew. And that's why I think we're
at where we're at because we're self made, but we're
also smart enough to bring on since that shutdown, the
one thing that taught me is bring the right people
into the right places. You know, have a good HR person,
have a great you know, lawyer on staff. Like there's
certain things that you know, you lie to yourself, like
(36:26):
I don't need this, I don't need like when you
first get a car, like I don't need our auto insurance,
Like yes, yes, yes, you don't want to pay that
extra one hundred twenty dollars a month, but you need it,
trust me, because if you hit somebody, like you know,
and it's like when you start broiling it down, like
you know, people used to think, you know, ten years ago,
yeah there was money in cannabis, but now like your
profit margin is not what you think it is. You know. Well,
you know, speaking of that, what's some advice you can give,
(36:48):
you know, from your position to somebody out there, an
entrepreneur that's looking to get in this industry, Maybe give
them some advice, you know. Listening to the show, Um
don't know, I'm just kidding. I think that was right.
I was like, don't do it. You gotta be all
in it, and you gotta be in for the right reasons.
You know, You're like, don't open a distribution center because
there's not much money and distribution you know, retails. You know,
(37:10):
it's it's like owning the subway. You gotta be there
until you get three, four or five of those things.
You're going to be there every day. You know. It's
it's it's not it isn't just a franchise, but by
it and don have to come in unless you have
disposal income, you know, and cultivation it's something unless you're
a friend or founding like someone that's really a good cultivator, like,
that's not a good something to get into. So, you know,
(37:30):
i'd say if you're an entrepreneur getting in the space
a you know, A do your research, you know, get
a job, you know, and do every aspect. I've done defoliation,
I've done the planting, I've done I've done ben headgrower,
I've done drove the distro van and done deliveries. I've
done every part of our aspect of our job. So
I know how long it should take to do something.
I can understand it. So I understand everything what you're
(37:53):
getting into. Um, And I think your best bet is
getting on a team, are getting with someone that already
kind of has something that they're just missing that you know,
if they're missing that one piece. Because there's a lot
of companies out there, I go, and I'm like, man,
if you just tweaked this and tweaked that and do this,
you actually might be successful. You know. So uh, but
you know, somebody getting into now it's it's just so hard, man.
(38:13):
It's like it's you know, I felt like it went
from like like a professional sports team, like before the
La Clippers got bought for two billion, like you could
get a sports team for hundreds of millions of dollars,
and now it's like you can't touch a sports team
in any industry. At the Bees. Yeah, I got the Bees.
And I felt like now the cannabis level is so
much higher and the threshold so much higher. And yeah,
(38:34):
they come around, they have you know, these these equity
equity candidates and all that stuff, and you know, but
that's not gonna walk you into this industry, you know.
I mean, that's not gonna give you enough to get
your door open. And those equity guys too, some of
them do, and some of them don't really know the industry.
They just got lucky to get caught. But listen, when
we come back, we're gonna break when we come back.
(38:54):
Don't want to do the high five with you. It's
Cannabis Tucking on one. We'll be right back after this.

around here for making this happen. Jorde Hey, Marcus Mondo,
Teddy My Show Dog, Isaiah Casey, Daniel Diego, Jessica, cam Beach, Barcelar, Ali,
(40:23):
Goldie Brother, Pitt, Mark Carnes, Chris Frankino, Jennifer Erica and Elvis.
Thank you guys so much for doing everything you do. Josh,
this has been very interesting talking to You're hearing your
story is truly amazing. Hearing the different products and your
knowledge behind it. Knowing that you're in Sacramento doing that,
you touch kind of a little bit on growing would
(40:44):
be going to state to state. Is that another option
or a new option that Lumpis is going to be
doing it? Are already in the works. Yeah, No, We're
definitely in the works. We're opening them. Do the Arison
a market or a New York by the end of
the year, guy Baby grease license that we're working on
in Greece, so that will be over to make two
years of developing that and then so yeah, we're definitely
(41:05):
want to be We just want to do a minimum.
Excuse me, I can't think of the name. We're looking
for limited licenses states. You know, Arizona. I know Texas
is going to be coming a line in the next
couple of years. My brothers got a license in Arizona.
Got really a couple of facilities out there, can link
you with. Okay, yeah, that's where we're looking. Like we
were just went toward out there. I like Arizona, you know,
(41:26):
so that's one would be huge. You know, New York.
We've been looking. We've been talking to a couple of
bigger people that have spices out there, but it's an
expensive market to get into and for us, it's you know,
it's it's hard, like we gotta basically own a piece
of that. We can't do licensing. I'm not gonna release
all our virgin X. We just don't have that. Our
gen X aren't out there. So for us to go
to another state and then have some leasing agreement where
(41:48):
you can lock me out of a building one day,
like we're not going to put ourselves in a Yeah,
you know, it's funny said, because a lot of people
do get themselves in that position, they find themselves locked out,
and and I think it's some of the more old
mentality stuff. But in in all, I think that it's unfortunate, man,
because a lot of a lot of good people have
been screwed. A lot of people have been I think
(42:10):
we call it the hump and dump, you know what
I mean, They hump you and then they're like, oh,
we're gonna make love, and then they dump you. Hump
and dump and uh. But but it's it's been it's
been interesting watching the industry and all the bad actors
are starting to disappear though. You know, if you notice
like the guys that have you know, we know who's
been around. Like we see people it's like, Okay, your
company's still here. Obviously you're doing something right. Um and
(42:33):
and and for the most part, I mean, there's a
lot of companies that are still around that aren't doing
shit right. But you know, I think there's a lot
of guys that came in bad actors, came in quick
and ended up losing their their status and their their
their realm. So you know, it's nice to see you
guys still putting in work, you know, and actually building
your brand down. How many stores you guys currently in
We rot stating right around between one hundred and fifty
(42:55):
and two hundred and given time, Um, you know, we're
we're hoping to hit the three hundred mark this year,
but how man little stores paying. Honestly, last year, we
only oh, we're only owed sixteen hundred dollars. That's awesome. Yeah,
we don't. We don't got muscle hunh showing up like whatever. Man,
My brother, my best friend, a head of sales, is Indian.
He just doesn't play that game. So we have a
(43:15):
very extensive credit check process. So yeah, we don't do
terms lightly. There's very few companies that we do do
that with. And uh yeah, we're pretty much close to
cold on everything. So and it works better that way.
You know, I don't pay for it. You want to
pay for it. You know, everybody wants to push more product.
But if I end up paying somebody fifty year in
a year to chase down a couple hundred grand, what's
(43:36):
the point of that. Yeah, yeah, we don't. We We're
not a big, huge term person, so yeah, we don't
have to when you got the right product, right to
be honest with you, bro, we're a lot more selective.
So yeah, shout out to all the people that are on.
But you know when they say, oh, can we get
sixty day terms? But you gotta borrow somebody money from
somebody else. Like, I'm not in the money leaning business.
I'm not a lender. The amount I'm giving you is
not gonna last you sixty days. You don't need sixty
(43:58):
days to pay me, you know what I mean. Yeah,
it's that simple right there. If you want to see
the website, you guys, lump these flowers dot com. I
love all these pictures of the strange on there, the
Woosa and the Truffle Runts, the Thrill, Reckless Rainbow, Jane Doe,
lax PD and it just it just looks so flavorful. Yeah,
(44:19):
I mean, these pictures are just doing a touch and
you can see where they're selling, is it? It looks
like two on the website. It's all over California. I
mean you're out here in Orange County too. Yeah, No,
we're in Orange County. H you know, shout out to
Evergreen Matt. We're out here in Santa right here in Anna,
sant Anna. We have a few stores in San Diego.
Is where are we gotta start leaning in more? Um,
(44:40):
we're actually out here interviewing for sales reps now, so
we're working on that throughout LA all the way up
to Humble, and then we have a store all the
way I think all the way in the border of Tahoe.
So we're every little and then actually they're doing shout
out to Jake right now. Our drive Julie drivers doing
a delivery all the way out in Needles. So that's
a long drive from Signermento. Oh yeah, you know, but
Rino Valleys are out there too. You guys are hitting
(45:01):
out there too. It looks like the good life. Yeah.
So no, we're a little bit everywhere we do. Everything
we do is in the house, all self distributed, all
the packings done inside. So you know we've we've done
always on sales. Yeah, so it's you know, from there,
early on I realized we can't have somebody controlling our money,
you know what I mean. So if we did terms
and we were with you know, a bigger company that
(45:22):
we won't name like they're gonna get paid, then we
got to get paid. So it's like, let's just be
the person that they pay, you know. So we've always
done it that way and it's you know, it's always
worked for us, so we're going to continue to do that.
I like the logo too. It just said it reminds
me of a baseball logo the way Lumpy's is spelled out.
Oh yeah, I mean it looks very baseball e to me. Yeah,
that's uh yeah. Jason Lumpy came up with that a
(45:44):
long time ago and it's kind of just stuck from there.
And then now we've kind of evolved and we're you know,
we're playing with different things, but now we've always were
It worked out because we were kind of let you know, NAPA,
you know, wine traditional base that's kind of what we
always went for, you know, and we really wanted that
craft experience, and so I think that our logo always
kind of worked out for us, you know what I mean.
(46:04):
I think it's real cool. Man. We want to do
the high five with every guest that we come in
here with you guys, so Josh five ship with questions.
I can't wait to hear the answers, how old are
you the first time you smoked cannabis and where'd you
get it from? I was eighteen and I got it
from my best friend, Robert Nice out of high school.
Then our first time, yes high I fell asleep immediately.
(46:26):
Question number two of the high five what is your
favorite way to use or smoke cannabis? Um, I'm a
split now. I'm like, I still like to roll up
as you know, a traditional swisher, and uh, I'm kind
of starting to get high on the on the on
the solventless you know hash, So I've split between the two.
That's interesting. What got you into the solventless hash? Just
(46:48):
because I do smoke for anxiety and sometimes you don't
have time to build, you know, smoke a whole blunt
and it's like a dad can get you if you
adjust it right and you use it, you know, the
right way. You're not just trying to get stone. You
can just do that little bit of mount and I
can get in and out and you know, two minutes
and be on the road. So it Uh, that's kind
of what got more convenience than anything, you know, And
now I've kind of slowly became a conchore on the
taste and stuff. I see where people are after, but
(47:09):
in the beginning it was more just convenience. Oh cool.
Question number three of the High five Craziest place you
ever used or smoked cannabis? Craziest every place I've ever
used for smoked cannabis. Um, I'd say probably nowhere that crazy.
I'd say just out of country, you know, flying into
(47:30):
Mexico all the time, bringing your own weed, or going
to Columbia, Like, I feel like that's kind of crazy.
You know, everybody thinks it's not until the day you
get pulled out a line. Yeah, it through your Yeah,
then you're not here to do the interview ever again,
ever again. So I'd say that's probably the craziest place
that I could think of. Question number four the High five,
what is your go to munchie after you get high? Oh?
(47:53):
H cereal? So probably either Captain Crunch or like, you know,
a good ram. I'm was tart, so I gotta use
almond milk or like Rabel Shrbett from Baskin Robbinson. Go
ahead and hook some of loads up. Ques shouldn't up.
For five of the High five, Josh Field the owner
and see oh lumpy flowers. If you could smoke cannabis
with anyone dead or alive, who would it be and
(48:17):
why who? Man Um? Honestly, I'd have to say, you know,
I honestly I'd say Malcolm X Welcome. And the reason
why I say that has nothing to do with you know,
black or white or that, but just to see someone
(48:38):
that had so much power risen to that to where
he was at and respected, to be taken out by
the same people that you know, rose into power, and honestly,
like you got to see I League, got to go
to Africa, you got to be a part of some
cool things, you know, I think that would be you know,
I just watched some of his videos and he was
very stern in his way. So I feel like a
big thing for me the twenty twenty three is disciplined,
(48:58):
and I'm really studying up on people that were very
disciplined and what and however it was. You know, not
necessarily I agree with everything their autologies on stuff, but
you know, discipline is key to success. You know, that's
across the board. I like brother Malcolm, Malcolm Little. He's
been one of those guys I've always been intrigued about
watching a new movie with him in our new series
with I think as Lumpy as his name too. It's
(49:19):
a it's a forest Whittakers in this one show that's
on whatever channel I watch it on, but it's it's
a random one and Malcolm X plays a character in it,
and it's kind of like this true story Johnson, Bumpy Johnson,
Bumpy john that's really not bump Lumpy Bumpy john Yes,
what's the name of that show. It ain't called Buppy
(49:40):
Johnson though, it's King Harlem. Yes, right now, because there's
a movie Our Dog. It's like three seasons. Yeah, yeah,
it's it's an epic, I think, yeah, it's it's a
dope serious it's true epic. Well, I don't know, it's
not some random met network that's not like epic. But yeah,
it's a good show. It's uh and some of it's
based off true he works with the mafia. Yeah, it's
(50:00):
and then you know malcolm accent. But that's kind of
what popped in my head too. They're on that side
series where they're trying to get him right now too.
I don't know, are you current with it? I'm current
with it too, to where I'm like, oh, they're trying
to get Malcolm right now. It's just like it made
me think, like from across the board, you know, he's
seen it from high to low, you know, go from that,
go to prison. I'm like, just to see that aspect
of and to be kicked out the nation like that,
(50:21):
and then to get the support back a little bit,
and then to see how he just drew his own
crowd back from it. His story is truly one of
the most amazing stories in my book too. No, it's
a really good story. I think people take the religion
part out of it and just the story itself is
you know, I think it's really good. So it's you know,
redemption and all that different stuff. So I'll be one
person I think would would really be cool, you know.
(50:42):
And then of course like somebody like I wouldn't even
say Einstein because I'm not that smart, you know what
I mean, But she'll be a great one. Yes, nothing
wrong with something like that. I mean Albert Einstein is. Yeah,
he's a good one. But brother, Malcolm, I like that
you say that. I'm glad we're watching that King of Harlem. Yeah,
So is there anything else that we forgot before we
let you get on out of here that you want
to mention about Lumpis or any the growth that you
(51:02):
guys are doing. Oh no, man, just to say that
you know, we're our original we're one of the few
legacy brands still out there, and we do take pride
in what we do and you know, shout out to
all the people that actually purchase our product and keep
us in business. And you know, if you do have
a problem, reach out to our website because we will respond.
And you know we're not perfect, but you know we
are here to to try to lead the way. And
you know, I think that one thing I didn't mention
(51:24):
is I think, you know, you come to our company,
we're one of the most diverse companies in cannabis. And
I hear that a lot, and that's not you know,
we got black, Asian, Mexican, you know, straight, gay, whatever
it is. You know, if you come and you work
and you grind with us, like you know, you're a
part of the team, You're part of a family. And
that's one thing I'm really proud about is that the
(51:44):
fuck that we have a very good group of diversity
people that we work with. And that means not even
just you know color is this an education background. We
have good people that are you know, four or five
year college degrees, and we got people that worked up
off the streets that make that that started seventeen bucks
in our force that now make you know, one hundred
grand a year. You know, So we got we got
(52:04):
everybody in between. That's one thing I do like about
our company, you know. Yeah, it's always nice to have
your team, you know, and and know that they're they're
a good group of people. And I think that it's
hard to find a really good team, and I really
believe that, you know, it takes that. The hardest part
about building a real company out is is finding out
who the guys are they're going to really be there,
(52:26):
you know, because you know, you get a lot of
people to come in because oh I heard the lumpies
don't want to be involved and they're there, but they're
fast food, you know, they think it's all they get
free week. Yeah, they want to just be with part
of the hype. You guys are already killing it. I
just want to be involved in. Yeah, And it's like, nah, man,
you gotta you gotta exercise. Ye've been here for ninety days, yeah,
graduations like days. Yeah. I look at people like you've
(52:51):
been here for a year, like relax man, we've been
doing for twelve, twelve, fourteen years. Like before that, we
were in the same field. And so it's like, you know,
now you're part of the ride. It's okay, you got
you got status. Yeah. No, a lot of our guys
are twenty three to twenty five, you know, years old,
so we're ever a younger crowd of people. So if
they definitely are like, well, I've been here six months,
like okay, but I don't need an Instagram. Yeah, we
(53:12):
don't do twenty two cents races over here. Like if
you earn a real raise, we're gonna give you at
least a dollar, Like if you want twenty two cins
like I got you. Yeah, yeah, that's what you're really
if you're really here for a twenty two cents raise
every nine. Thank you for listening to Cannabis Talk one
on one on the heart radio app, Apple podcast or
wherever you get your podcast. You know, those people are
hard defining and it ain't just money, because you know
(53:34):
there's people that we've paid them what they wanted. They
came in and crapped the bed. There's people that they
asked us for a certain amount and we're like, are
you crazy? They came in for lesson? We're like, oh, man,
he wasn't crazy. Let me write you this check. Yeah,
let's get this gaut On board. Yeah. Proved, Yeah, proved, David.
You know. So, I think that's one thing that helps
keep us solid and people, you know, keep us honest.
And like I said, we're not perfect, and you know,
(53:54):
people are gonna look at me. Some people, oh, you know,
he's an asshole. Well you know some people that were
successful that not everybody's gonna understood by everybody. I don't really,
I'm not here to do that, you know. I mean
as long as the people that are that are standing
outside me and behind me, that are with me and
understand who I am, then that's all we need. And
I think that's why we're a great team. Is I'm
not out here to show up on Instagram and look
cool like, No, this is here to run a business.
(54:16):
I'm a business. Yeah. Well, I'm excited to see what
you guys do, man, and congratulations on your success and
keep up to good work and thank you for you know,
you know, putting out a good product to the community.
I think it's super important for us, you know, appreciate
that and shout out to the whole team at Lumpy's. Man,
that's that's that's what makes this happen. You know. I'm
just a part of that wheel. Oh yeah, man, Well
there it is, guys, this cannabis talk one. I want
(54:36):
to remember this. If no one else loves you, we do.
Nice plan. Let's take let's take a picture.
