Speaker 2 (00:32):
I'm at Joe Grande fifty two and thank you Erica
for working over there, so hard working the board, working
the cameras. She's a one man crew and usually it
takes two, but you know what, it takes one woman
to make it all happen.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Thanks job happy mothers.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
You' all know what time it is, right don Tom,
I think higher with Dime Industries find them in California
Arizona and Oklahoma. Check out the website dime Industries dot
com or on ig dime dot Industries. Daniel and Connor
are here hanging out, and you guys have been delivering
such great content in the previous podcast thing.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
I figure, let's hit the folks with what they want.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
I've been getting voicemails and emails They're going, what are
you guys gonna bring Connor and Daniel back? I go,
you know what they're bringing up so much. Even Jessica
is like, I can't wait to hear what they're saying.
So Jessica, grab that microphone, grab those headphones, chime in
with us. I know Connor has some new insight on
something that's going down in the world of cannabis.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
Yeah, there is something going down.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
What do you got there, young man?

Speaker 4 (01:26):
Cannabis and this slipper snapper going down in the fucking Midwest.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
My fuck, oh, you're bringing your old accent back the Midwest.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
Just teasing, just teasing.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (01:37):
A lobbyist in Michigan pleads guilty for giving bribes for
cannabis licenses. Now, the specifics are that Brian Pierce said
he gave forty two thousand in bribes to a company
controlled by former House Speaker Rick Johnson, who Rick Johnson
accepted over one hundred thousand dollars in bribes total to.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
Give out license.

Speaker 5 (02:01):
So this has gone down in Michigan, and what does
this imply for the rest of the world of cannabis?

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Are are unexpected? I mean, is anybody shocked to hear that?

Speaker 5 (02:11):
I mean, I know, and it's going down in other
other places, of course, But how are we combating this
in the cannabis industry? If you guys had the power
in place to fix this, what would you do?

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Oh well, if you had the power to do it, it's
hard because you know, to fix it is almost like
whoever like it makes me think of and it's gonna
sound so silly ish, but Superman, right, with great power
comes great responsibility.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
But that was spider Man.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Sorry, Spider Man said, with great power comes responsibility.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
No, thank you for correcting me, because I I didn't.
I thought I had it wrong.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
But to that point, right, it's like when you have
that type of power and you know you can make
side money doing it, it's a terrible thing that I'm like,
like Jessica made a like, oh, like we're surprised, like,
of course, we're not right, because.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
It's been happening ever since time has been around.

Speaker 6 (03:13):
The guy will have like twenty six licenses and somebody
else can't get when he's been trying for five years.
And some people just end up on you know, the list,
and they're like, oh, it's a lottery, and I'm like,
sure it is, you know, and maybe in some counties,
in some districts it might be, but it sure seems
like often it's something else.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
I'm just gonna say, in any field, right, in any field,
no matter what it is, because, uh, Pickett, there's corruption,
that's the term, right in every type of field. I mean, Connor,
your soccer player played professional all this great stuff.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
How much corruption was in that?

Speaker 2 (03:56):
We see FIFA, the guy that took millions and billions.

Speaker 5 (04:00):
Oh my god, it's just left and right right down
all over the place.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
And then I'm even hearing, uh not to go from
cannabis to soccer so much. I randomly was talking to
somebody the other day that he pointed out how the
United States is so corrupt with soccer that you have
to be rich to play soccer here in the United States.
You do and it's not even a safe place for
kids to play.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
Why because they've corrupted soccer so much.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
So I'm just randomly pointing out soccer as the guy
delivering the story has a soccer background that I'm just
going straight at you, going, dude, it's in everything, right,
the garbage industry. I mean that started with the mob.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
The mob created these.

Speaker 6 (04:40):
Insurance and everything else, Like what is insurance? It's like, hey,
your move get might you know get broken up?

Speaker 2 (04:45):
We had to deal with you in your car with
the insurance that big local Joe had to jump in
and start calling these places to help with just go out.
So when I see this and you say, how can
we fix it?

Speaker 3 (04:57):
You know, it's it's it's sad to say that it's
an un fixable thing.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
The only thing we could do is pray that people
have morals and guides.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
But it's hard because we're only human.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
I'm not saying you're a man because it's a woman
that could have that position and take the bribe.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
I mean, let's just face it.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Jessica is one of the highest ranked person that handles
the Cannabis Talk magazine, and she's taking bribes to make
people's articles better you know what I mean Right now,
if you want to get a good article on there,
she'll either write a half assed one for you, or
if you tip her well, take her out to dinner,
do something nice for her, your article the Cannabis Talk
magazine will be so much better.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
I'm just saying, Jessica, just think about it.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
If someone spent a little bit of time with you
and did something, you might spend a little more time
on their ad.

Speaker 6 (05:44):
I mean, look, I think in any's like, no, I
wouldn't jobs everybody to say maybe it's just she would.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
I don't think she would do that.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
I'm just saying I'm actually being facetious of being ridiculous
for something like that.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
Yeah, but I'm just saying it helps.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
I mean, if somebody did and you did you something
a lot, somebody might spend a little more time on it.
I'm just saying it happens in everything that we see
and do.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
Well.

Speaker 6 (06:06):
I will say this like, it's not just somebody's let's
say product or industry or whatever it may be that
manipulates whether or not.

Speaker 7 (06:12):
You get special treatment.

Speaker 6 (06:13):
Right Like, if I'm working with somebody and they just
so happen to have a really shitty disposition and they're.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
Rude with me.

Speaker 6 (06:19):
You know, It's like, do you really think I'm gonna
give or anybody me or anybody else? But that's just natural, right.
It's like if I was a guest and you were
helping me, you know, pea mic up and stuff like that,
and I would you go the extra mile and say, hey,
can I get you this? Are you comfortable? Do you
anything else? And just that little extra mile you go
for guests that are really good to you versus somebody

(06:41):
who's like, hey, get me to do this, do that? Korea.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
You know, if.

Speaker 6 (06:46):
You're being dismissed or if you're being turns you off.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
Yeah, it just turns you off.

Speaker 6 (06:49):
Now, if somebody's going to let's just put it a
stuff further. Let's say they do come by, come by
for drinks at the studio. Let's say after that they're like, hey,
it's not going to dinner. You start making friends. I mean,
there's a fine line that somebody crosses when they're like, oh,
by the way, I got your guest.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
And it's tough though, when you're giving license and you're
that Congress guy, you know what I mean, And Jessica
comes over are you guys come over with Jessica and
we're hanging out.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
You know, let's just fish.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
It's not that Jessica's that girl that would do. But
if who knows how these bribes happen. Right, it's money,
it's sex, it's party supplies, it's whatever it takes.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
It's all of the above, and we're having a good time.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
And then you're building a relationship like Jessica was describing.
And then once that guy has that relationship with these guys,
and then it goes back to that's why that company
has fourteen licenses?

Speaker 3 (07:36):
And do I think it's wrong? Absolutely? But is it
part of life? Dude, It's been going on since Roman times.

Speaker 4 (07:42):
Everything you do. No, it's human nature and it's wrong.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
Yeah, there's that fact there too.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
You cannot get along with the teacher and be like, dude,
I just did everything right and this and that, and
no you're not getting the same treatment.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
So it's wrong, and don't get me wrong. Wrong is wrong.
How can you fix it?

Speaker 5 (07:59):
Though?

Speaker 3 (07:59):
Is the question that you presented.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
We've got to hire people who are going to be
trustworthy and honest.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
What does that mean? Good luck figuring that out?

Speaker 6 (08:09):
I mean I have a proposition. But this is kind
of like, I don't know an extreme example. I guess
because I think low key everybody wants to keep that
option open. But you could always just go instead of
having a name associated with your account, instead of having
a personal personal you know, I loved here, instead of

(08:32):
having something personal associated with your account. If I was
number one two four six and number one two four
six applying for a license, and you don't know number
one two four six from number one two four or five,
you know what I mean, and you need this certain criteria,
you apply for it, you wait a certain amount of time,
and you get in line with everybody else, and nobody
knows what whose name and whose business is associated to
what number?

Speaker 5 (08:53):
Anonymous, completely anonymous.

Speaker 6 (08:55):
And I think that if you're getting in line, if
you're standing in the query, if you're you know.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
And you're all the balls are in a hat.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
In theory, Jessica, that sounds nice, But in theory, guess what.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
Numbers somebody has to oversee that. It's like, you know
what I mean.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
So in theory it sounds good, but it's like me saying, oh,
how do we know who's gonna we're giving.

Speaker 3 (09:16):
Away an article for a free whatever. We're all gonna
know what, who, who's in the hat, what we need
to do, so you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
It's it's so as in theory it sounds nice, but
I don't think it's practical.

Speaker 6 (09:29):
It's going to turn into like a what do you
call it? A cryptocurrency.

Speaker 7 (09:33):
We should be appointing people who don't have anything to
benefit from that. So as an outsider, I would feel
more comfortable if the person handing out the license, you know,
he didn't have anything. Uh, how would you say, like
there's nothing in it for him in the sense that
his his.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
But let's just face it.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
Once we know who's giving out the license, that's when
the game starts, because that's why I'm gonna find out
who it is.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
And then before you know what, I'm hustling over there. Hey,
what's up, Daniel? What are you doing?

Speaker 2 (10:01):
Man?

Speaker 3 (10:02):
Let me help you out with that.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
Let me buttering the buttering up with the old saying
like in music, like when I started radio, the term
was called paola yeah right and still and it's against
the law now and this and that, but it's like, hey,
we give you guys money, you play.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
Our records more it's the same kind of concept. Duh,
it happens. So I don't know if it's ever gonna end.
I can't see it ending because it's a part of life.
That's just it's wrong. But you know, there's a lot
of wrong things that happen in life, and we just
got to roll with it.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
Hopefully the states and the governments hire the right people
that don't allow it to happen, because I've seen I've
been in the office of Mark and Craig Washerman and
seeing a people who had got a license didn't get
a license and they're supposed to and like the same concept.

Speaker 5 (10:47):
It'll hurt, you know, the people who deserve it. Obviously,
it's going to go both ways, where.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
The way Jessica described in a perfect world is the
way it should be done.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
And I like that. But yeah, silly.

Speaker 6 (10:57):
Question, silly question, But just like specific, why is it wrong?

Speaker 2 (11:02):
Because if I want to supply you and your license
because you came to get one, but you were on
the bottom of the list and Daniel and Connor were
in front of you. But because you're prettier and you're
a girl, and I'm attracted to.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
You now I want to please you. And give you
your license over there.

Speaker 6 (11:19):
Wait no, no, we're not talking about luxor sex. We're talking
about money. We're talking about so if you're talking about.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Because same concept, you're coming in and you give me
five grand and they don't pay any for a.

Speaker 6 (11:29):
License, different things, a different thing, because when you're getting
a license from somebody who, let's be real, like, either
that's say it's a politician for instance, or let's say
it's the city or whatever, and they need money, and
everybody needs money.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
The city was getting it, that'd be nice, but that's
not part of the criteria, nor should that be a
part of the criteria. You shouldn't have to give the
city x amount of dollars to open up a cannabis store,
a liquor stores. Yes, exactly that all they pay their
taxes to do that, and that's fine.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
So what you're saying is why is it's wrong.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
There's a ton of reasons why it's wrong, because it
should be the proper protocol.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Like every other business gets a license. So there's no reason.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
To bribe a politician and say, oh, what's wrong with
giving him money?

Speaker 3 (12:09):
Well, it's against the law.

Speaker 5 (12:11):
And all those your company was good enough you'd get
the license.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
So it does not a matter if your company was
good enough, you qualifications and.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
You're up for getting a license.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
And as long as you pass for it, then that's
how you should be.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Should be a criteria that you pass, and then once
you pass that criteria, all those names should be entered
the hat like you suggest, which I agree with, but
not because my name should be in the hat and
on the top of the list because I donated one
hundred thousand dollars.

Speaker 6 (12:36):
Jose, I thought that I mistakenly thought that some of
the many went back to the city, and.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
I'm saying, oh no, this went to his pockets.

Speaker 5 (12:42):
Yeah, no, this was straightly like direct from Brian Pierce,
like you bring.

Speaker 6 (12:47):
Into a particular persons.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
Yeah, it gave into.

Speaker 5 (12:50):
Rich Johns, Rick Johnson's in specific Rick Johnson in Michigan.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
You got one hundred ki. Yeah, congratulations to great story
of their pet One on one.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
We're gonna come back and Daniel Sun has another little
article for us to all get some game on.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
We'll be right back after this break.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
Subscribe to our weekly newsletter on our website, Cannabi's Talk

Speaker 3 (13:21):
Turn your typical into something special.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
Folks, when it comes to in fuse products to play
utation just as enjoyable as the feeling your experience. Visit
the website loranoils dot com. I can't wait for something
that I want to experience. Jessica's coming back on the show,
said to hear your story, Daniel, because she doesn't see
how corruption's bad from connor story.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
Yes, she was like, that's so bad about taking a brand.
I mean, you know, I take a hundred grand and
give us somebody a license.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
Right When she said, let me just present one question
with what's wrong with it, I'm like a lot of
things that against the log Jessicable.

Speaker 3 (13:58):
I'm going back.

Speaker 6 (13:59):
First of all, I'm not saying like, why is it
wrong to you do something that's against the law? Obviously
that part yes, But I'm saying to me in the
against the law in the first place, for instance, and
I've just.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
Read the thought you were talking about.

Speaker 6 (14:09):
Is that a want people out there watching and going, oh,
justin this is so many fun?

Speaker 4 (14:12):
She said it's cool. She said it's cool.

Speaker 6 (14:16):
And then your response was, well, why do you think
it's wrong for you? To have sight with somebody for
a business dealing.

Speaker 3 (14:20):
I'm like, wait, that's what you interpreted. I didn't say that,
but okay, ho ho, so your thought go ahead.

Speaker 6 (14:31):
Okay, So how come there's a limited amount of licenses
per city.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
Because that's the way they do it. It's not there's
going to make a rhyme or reason. I agree with that,
but that's just because, like it's unlike liquor stores, where
you could but there's still a limited amount even though
there's one on every corner. But for the cannabis license,
this is what the city starts off with, and this
is what they come up with from the city, how
they coordinate it. So it's not like, oh, we're giving
out five hundred or a thousand.

Speaker 6 (15:00):
So if somebody wanted to open like a restaurant or
something like that, they have to get a license.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
Same concept.

Speaker 6 (15:05):
So the money that you paid to get the actual license,
not the payola. I'm talking about the money that you
paid just get the license that goes to the city.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
That's on all licenses. Yep.

Speaker 6 (15:13):
So why is it why would it be wrong to
pay more money not to the not to the person
taking the bride, but to the city. To if you
have more money to spend on a license.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
Because that's unfair.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Just because I have more money doesn't mean I should
be able to get a restaurant over you or me,
or Connor or Daniel. We should all have the same
opportunity and whatever we come up with as a it's
a five thousand dollars entry fee to do this or
whatever that number.

Speaker 5 (15:39):
Upfront, that shouldn't be like a stipulation on whether or
not you get a bit, because then the only rich
get richer.

Speaker 6 (15:45):
I mean, that's that is true. I guess I'm being
from the perspective of this city.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
The city probably needs money, and they charge taxes, and
that's why they set it at an equal level so
that everybody has an equal opportunity and even though some
are still out of their leagues to be able to
present that money, but at least it's a decent amount
that it's not so extreme. Although the cannabis industry gets
mistreated and gets overly taxed on everything. Yes, but that's
why you have to have a limit, because if not,

(16:10):
then to your theory, you could just buy your way
in and then somebody can come in and buy everything
out own a.

Speaker 3 (16:16):
City monopoly exactly.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
But you know what, it was a fair question though,
and then the monopoly comes. Yeah, that's why even when
I come back, I always like to use my radio analogies.
But the monopoly of radio stations, right, you can only
own eight stations in a market. That's the monopoly of it.
Why and why is that the case? Because then they
can tell you everything they want from radio or TV
and they can dictate just like when you watch Fox
News or you watch CNN, two different point of views, right,

(16:41):
So if Fox News owns everything, then you're hearing everything
from that state of value. If CNN owned everything, you
hear everything from their point of view value.

Speaker 3 (16:48):
That is why they have those rules and regulations in play. Totally.
I'm glad we can talk about this out loud because okay.

Speaker 5 (16:55):
What about Oklahoma though, because they don't have a cap
if I'm not mistaken on the amount of licenses, so none, So.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
How am I? My daughter says no cap when she
is talking to you, I'm like, oh my.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
God, you just remind me Oklahoma is a mess right now,
and that's why they're doing it. But and that's why
everybody was, you know, migrating over there to do that.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
I know Blue Hooven got like a little.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
House over there for a second license, and everybody else
you just had to be a residence of their right
to do that.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
I'm surprised I remember all this.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
But uh, and they have an abundance of licensing and
abundance of this and that, and not enough people that
are using it exactly.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
So they found out that that wasn't the way.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
And it's still it's still you know, like we use
the analogy building a plan in the year, so you know,
we're still all earning.

Speaker 3 (17:41):
Some things don't work great, some things do. But I
like opening it up though. I like what Oklahoma did,
don't get me wrong.

Speaker 4 (17:47):
I think it's a step in the right direction.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
And then you're gonna.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
Find out which ones in Oklahoma are gonna pop and
do great, just like you know, okay, cool, Let everybody
try to to her point, let everybody try to get
a license. Yeah, and okay, now those who market it
oh and do everything great will succeed.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
But don't do it where you got to buy in.
But Oklahoma did a buy in. I think it was
a few hundred bucks too. Whatever.

Speaker 6 (18:07):
It was just like a restaurant, right there's no capin
in a in a city about how many restaurants can
be in the city.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
No, there are, there are just like some cities like
uh Lake four like where I live, everyone think gods
to shut down by nine pm unless you know what
I mean. Like you know, so there's a lot of
actually rules and regulations for cities as far as can be.
How many restaurants can be in cities? Oh yeah, totally
liquor license, all that stuff is. Every city has those
type of numbers.

Speaker 6 (18:31):
See like a license. I know that there that there
are about.

Speaker 2 (18:33):
Food and restaurants license, all these all the cities are
planned like that. That's why they have planned city communities.
And this is that And and the reason why I
know this as well is I really was a lot.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
Into politics as a youngster. And you know, mister asb
president and junior high end high school properly running all
those things. I looked into a lot of those politics
and was like constantly learning about and then looking into
cities of like there's all kinds of rules.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
And then even when I went to jail when I
broke the law of falsely created a nine one emergency
within a mile of a fucking elementary.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
School Jesus and I did forty nine days in jail
for that, so you know, there you go, Daniel. I
know you got another story for us. Break it down
for me, brother, I do.

Speaker 4 (19:10):
I do.

Speaker 7 (19:11):
So, folks, you better bust out that sunscreen and call
the babysitter because Las Vegas is getting ready to debut
that very first cannabis friendly hotel on June second.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
Yeah, just second, it's already happening.

Speaker 7 (19:24):
Is summertime, guys, we're living in the future days in
June second.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
Huh Hold on, this show debuts on June Seconday.

Speaker 7 (19:33):
Look it up today today, right now as we speak.

Speaker 3 (19:39):
So you know what.

Speaker 7 (19:42):
The days of smoking weed and towels under the door
or jamming in the bathroom with all that hot water running.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
Yeah, all that running.

Speaker 4 (19:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (19:50):
Thanks to people at Elevations Nation, they.

Speaker 3 (19:52):
Are opening up today Elevation Nation.

Speaker 7 (19:55):
The Lexi Hotel is a newly renovated sixty four room
property that's only minutes away from the Lost Take A
Strip and it's next to major dispensaries such as Jardine,
which are lovely friends of the show, by the way,
And my only question is is when are other casinos
and resorts gonna follow suit? When is it When am
I gonna be able to just burn down an eighth

(20:17):
blunt at the crap table and as people's faces like that, That's.

Speaker 3 (20:24):
What I want to know, Joe. I have no idea
when I go back to the big federal illegalization, right,
I think that's gonna be the key for all the
other casinos to say, okay, let's do it. But then,
I mean, you know, it's I hate to say that
you're gonna have you know, the care and why are
you smoking weed?

Speaker 4 (20:41):
Of course?

Speaker 2 (20:41):
Of course when I don't mind pumping my cigar and
walking around a casino, and you know I do every
time i'm there, and let alone someone smoking a pack
of cigarettes just sitting there on the craft table or
sitting there playing blackjack. But I just think it's gonna
come down to federal legalization, right. And then once that happens,
you're not gonna still be able to smoke in the
room at the wind probably, but you could definitely smoke

(21:04):
into a smoking area because they have the ventilation there.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
Yeah. Absolutely, I think they have all the rules that
could supply you smoking.

Speaker 6 (21:10):
They're probably stoking to have like the smoking on smoking rooms,
and then I'll probably just apply to cannabis.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
Yeah, like the cigarettes and cigars are so much worse.

Speaker 5 (21:21):
At this point, you know what I mean, the tobacco
is getting involved you already, you already know their lobbying
for the fucking are they just gonna make They're.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
Gonna say no, they don't want to.

Speaker 5 (21:30):
Yeah, no, They're they're gonna deny cannabis.

Speaker 3 (21:32):
Watch it. Well, I'm going to disagree with that, Connor.
Let me tell you why. Hope you're gonna tell you
why though.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
You know why because Marlborough has already jumped into the
cannabis space, looking and buying properties and buying and like that.
So my point is when you have the big wigs
like that already jumping into so it goes federally legal,
they're gonna be producing, mass producing pre roll joints.

Speaker 5 (21:54):
Damn They're They're gonna be a splish Marlborough all day,
all day.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
If it's real.

Speaker 6 (22:00):
There's already concept our art online that you could look
out for.

Speaker 4 (22:03):
Marlboro pre preroll cox. I'm a buyer really.

Speaker 2 (22:07):
Yeah, So as you say that, I mean, I don't
think they're going to be just like the old saying
of Oh, pharmaceuticals aren't going to be doing that anymore.
And now we know pharmaceutical companies buying other pharmaceutical companies
that are using cannabis to help with you know, pick
the elements. So all these movements have been going down Connor.
But the old way of thinking was that way, and

(22:27):
at first I bit and go you're right. I was like, no,
actually you're wrong, because these are getting ready for that movement.

Speaker 4 (22:33):
Yeah, no, it's about time, right, Well.

Speaker 3 (22:35):
It's it's it's inevitable.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
It's just you know, like the FDA wouldn't have approved it,
Our government wouldn't approve CBD if it wasn't this, and
that it's just a matter of time before they get
all the elements in place to become federally legal. Like
what do you mean, like banking folks, who can't make
it federally legal when you can't even bank it?

Speaker 3 (22:50):
Yeah, I mean whether it's got to go hand in hand.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
There's so many things, and once it goes federally legal,
that means the state crossing things got to happen. So
how is that going to be in place? Then once
that happens, how is we gonna be able to fly
not only fly with it, but you know, looking at
all the rules and regulations from pesticides to this, how
are we gonna do a nationwide screening of what's pride

(23:13):
and what's wrong because each state has something different, right,
So there's just so many other elements of the laws
and regulations on how they're doing it that we have
to have all these in place before it can be
Oh yeah, let's just do it tomorrow federal legalization. It's
not gonna happen that year. There's so many other things
that have to be in play for all fifty states.
And there's still three states right now at this current

(23:34):
date as of May twenty twenty three, or this air
is June second, twenty twenty three, that three states don't
have no kind of nothing there, you know what I mean.
So you still have three more states to come aboard
for some type of legalization before we can. It's Nebraska,
I believe it's the three right there. It's Nebraska's one

(23:54):
of them, Idaho, and the one to the left of
that with Montana.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
Is at Montana now just.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
Friends put on my desktop and I just recently erased it.
And of course the map when you asked that map.
I think I put it in sack, didn't I put
it in slack for everybody to see.

Speaker 3 (24:15):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (24:15):
There's I recently put it in our company slack, just
so everybody here we go right here and look at that.
It's Nebraska right above it, and then what's over here
next to Oregon.

Speaker 3 (24:26):
And that cheese. I mean, I put it in there,
but I don't know my geographics. Right Idaho, Idaho?

Speaker 2 (24:31):
Yeah, Idaho, Nebraska, And that's not Kansas right above Kansas
because there's a.

Speaker 3 (24:38):
Technic is Iowa? No?

Speaker 4 (24:40):
I was the smaller one.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
We're a bunch of fucking idiots. Sorry, Sorry, I have been.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
I have the map in front of me, and I
sent it out to the company, and I sent it
out and I read it and I look at it
and I just, oh, you have it right there.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
We can show you guys. It's gotta just talk what
I want. When we went back.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
Ups, make sure you like following subscribe did Cannabis Talk
one on one?

Speaker 3 (25:01):
Now? Now back to the number one cannabis show on
the planet. You know what get Now back to.

Speaker 4 (25:14):
The number one cannabis show in the universe.

Speaker 3 (25:17):

white label partners.

Speaker 2 (25:21):
They're known to be on time, accurate, and do quality packaging.
You guys, they have been launching brands in California since
twenty fifteen. And at the Bear Flag Group they do
what they say they're gonna do. Check them out online
at bear flaggroup dot com.

Speaker 3 (25:32):
I love those guys, by the way, and I'm sorry
that we sounded like such idiots on that last break.
I want to confirm the states.

Speaker 2 (25:39):
It is Idaho, South Dakota, and Nebraska. That is confirmed
like a don king firm, and those are the three
states that have nothing legal whatsoever that need to.

Speaker 3 (25:51):
Start doing a little sething over there. And Donor Daniel,
what's that? Erica disagrees with you? Erica disagrees with me?
What do you mean? Why do you disagree with me? Erica?
What are you saying with South Dakota? I mean, I'm
going to talk not South Dakota is green. Let me.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
I think you are because as I look at this
list right here, and I go over this list right
here is Idaho. You go one state over that's Wyoming,
and then you go too down that's Nebraska and Kansas.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
Then oh, I think you're right. It's Nebraska and Kansas
that Erica. You are confirmed, right, You're right, and I
think it gave me a blank fifty state map. I
could probably get most of them right.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
Well, then why did you pull it up on slack
and tell us because we're a bunch of idiots.

Speaker 3 (26:40):
Up here messing things up?

Speaker 7 (26:41):
But I should have known they we're stupid.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
Well they are, thank you.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
Well.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
Speaking of international you guys, I do have something here
that's really awesome.

Speaker 3 (26:52):
Switzerland lifted its.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
Ban on medical cannabis in June twenty twenty two, which
paved the way for studies to begin. And there's nothing
better than I liked in studies because I tell you
right now, research is going to be the key to
everything in this.

Speaker 3 (27:05):
World with cannabis.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
Switzerland continues to expand cannabis research trials. Two more Switzerland
cannabis studies greenlit by the Federal Office of Public Health,
according to the press release on May tenth, twenty twenty three. Now,
the SCRIPT study, that's what it's called, The Script Studies
Safer Cannabis Research in Pharmacies, randomized control trial that will

(27:28):
cover burn, Lucerne, and bill receiving approval from both the
Swiss Federal Office and the Public.

Speaker 3 (27:35):
Health which I like they call that bag bag. I
don't know why bag exactly. It just sounds like a
cool thing, right.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
Contrast hout Switzerland the Continental Commission of Ethics and Ethics
Commission of Northwest and Central Switzerland. Now research will be
conducted by the Burn Institutes for Family Medicine at the
University of Bern, which is expected to be to begin
in our October twenty twenty three and end April twenty

(28:03):
twenty six.

Speaker 3 (28:04):
The program expects.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
To sample size number of participants of one thousand and
ninety one people.

Speaker 4 (28:11):
Let's go to Switzerland. Let's be part of that.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
You know, it's funny that you say that, because as
I want to keep read more, but I right.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
Away, would you guys join?

Speaker 4 (28:18):
Absolutely?

Speaker 3 (28:18):
Yes.

Speaker 5 (28:19):
I was just there and like my weed maps worked
in Switzerland, so like.

Speaker 3 (28:24):
You were when you were working here, were you went
to Switzerland?

Speaker 4 (28:27):
You were there with pit past Yes I was.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
I remember hitting you up and you were in Switzerland.
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (28:33):
That was as all of this was going down, I
supposed like they were starting to ratify all of it.
But I think Switzerland is like a nice place for it.
Like I found I was able to find CBD.

Speaker 4 (28:45):
Flower in UH. I was in Zermatt, and when.

Speaker 5 (28:50):
Pit passed, I picked up some CBD and I just
rolled up a fatty and I just smoked one out
for him because like that was like the closest I
could get to him from Switzerland. So when did that?
So not Switzerland's great? I would easily go be part
of their trialsone.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
Yeah, Well, the goal they're saying is to examine health
and social effects.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
That's the key term right there.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
The quotes were under health and social effects, which is
kind of funny, and I wonder what they're going to
figure and try to really realize of the regulated cannabis
industry at local pharmacies. These elements are intended to make
the products less attractive, especially.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
For young people.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
They're saying that we know that from tobacco prevention that
they said in a release. They're saying, our study therefore
does not aim to legalize cannabis in the free markets,
but to be able to address the problems caused by
prohibition in the black markets and to test possible harm
reduction approaches, as well as a strict control of supply

(29:53):
and distribution, use demand for cannabis. I find it interesting
that they're doing things like that. Adults eighteen years or
older will be allowed to participate in the study. How
the participants will get to purchase cannabis during the first
six months of the study, then what I mean, how.

Speaker 3 (30:10):
Do you not purchase it after that? As kind of curious.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
Another quote says, the comparison of the fate of people
and the two groups should make it possible to obtain
a study results that are as of scientifically rigorous as possible.
The study announced states and also it says the study
initially is called the canabin.

Speaker 3 (30:33):
Hold on a Second Cannabinoid.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
No, not cannabinoid, it's cabin cabineth Q cabineth the Q
cannabin ethic, but that's Q at the end, cannabin ethic
Q whatever C A N N A.

Speaker 3 (30:49):
B I N O T H E q u E.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
A pilot trial for the regulated sale of cannabis. That's
the other one that they're doing, and the Canton and
gen area. Bottom line for this, you guys, is I
love research that's going to be done. I found that
this research is a little funny looking at the study
on how they're doing this, and I can't wait to
see the results that they made. You know, all studies

(31:16):
on this no matter where they're at. And I we've
talked about this a lot, but like Israel was ahead
of the pack for the longest time and still are
in my opinion, of doing so much research. And I
just hate that the United States can't use this evidence
because it's from Israel, that we can't say.

Speaker 3 (31:33):
Look what they've learned, and look what they've found.

Speaker 2 (31:36):
I'm hoping and praying that one day all nations get
together and say, look what we found, Look what we found,
Look what you found that chuse our top researching companies.
I believe you mentioned one of the previous podcasts that
Connor the Jamaican ones. Right, They've got an island that
they're going to be doing things that So let's get

(31:57):
all these places that are doing research and help the world,
not just Switzerland, not just Geneva, not just Israel, not
just the US. The world can come together and bring
the research. And then psilocybin, let's bring that research together too,
because these are two plant medicines that are really making

(32:21):
a lot of noise and showing really big improvements in
this world.

Speaker 3 (32:25):
We're all for it.

Speaker 2 (32:26):
We're trying to talk about it and make it a
normal conversation. It's Cannabis Talk one on one, folks. If
nobody else loves you lead.
