on the show Blue. There's this cat right here sitting
down that I really want to get to know because
I've seen and heard so much about this dude's company,
Michael Brunts and the owner and founder of Caviare Gold. Now,
Caviare Gold is the inventor of infused cannabis and the
(01:53):
only patented cannabis brand on Earth. Others are just imitators, folks.
They've been in business for over thirteen years. What other
brands can really say that out loud and be honest
about that? Now, They're also available in over one thousand
stores in six different states. They put pure liquid THC
inside their bud to make it stronger, not dip or sprayed.
(02:17):
More th HC less air. That's the motto at Caviar Gold.
Many premium brands charged high prices for cannabis in the range.
Now all caviar products are state tested at fort th C.
Check this out Ja and Silent Bob strains, plus the
new ice Que Friday and Good Day Cush. You heard
(02:39):
me say that, right, That's right. Ice Cube stuff are
all the same patent formula, but specially developed by the
legends themselves. You smoke with, they smoke folks. Just be careful.
All caviar products are extremely potent, so be safe and
obey all your local laws at all times. Check out
the website cavier Gold dot com s A V I
(03:01):
A R G O L D, or on Instagram caviat
Gold for twenty Welcome Michael to the show. Brother. Yeah, Michael,
I don't even want to jump to Caviar Gold and
asking you real quick, ice Cube, how did you get it?
I want to know, Michael, I mean, dude, you Caviar
Gold in my head is top shelf big time. And
it's so crazy to think I don't ever remember slapping
(03:23):
hands with you, a meeting you. I am actually pissed
that I'm on a zoom to where I didn't get
to bring my you know, cast over there and sit
down with you. I apologize. You don't show us that
kind of stuff on air exactly what he just showed us. Guys,
shake your hand. That being said, I can't recall meeting
you anywhere and in the industry and this and that.
(03:44):
But when I say industry, I look at Caviar Gold
as an industry BRANDT No, it's maybe, yeah, you don't
hang out with old folks. But who is Michael Russel?
Where do you come from? Michael? Where are you born
and raised? Was born in Michigan, Burying Springs, Michigan. I
was raised there until I was eighteen, and then I
moved to Oklahoma City after that. So, so why the
(04:06):
cannabis industry for you? Man? Um? You know, it was
booming everything back in the day. You know, everybody was like,
let's go get in it. It was that time of
the you know that when it was happening, and so
I was like, actually, my wife was like, hey, let's
do this. And I was like, all right, let's do this.
And how Caviar Gold, I mean, how did that come out? Well,
(04:26):
it was an accident. Um was this a dope name? Dude?
I mean, Caviar call just playered in my book, you know.
I'm like, oh, that's play like it's oscary, you know
what I mean, It's like the Oscars. We were we
were Caviar Spice and oh you guys hit the spice market.
Well we were. We were when we first came out
with the first name, there were Caviar Spice and like
(04:49):
the Spice girls. And then we moved to California. And
when we when we moved to California, that's when we
put the gold on there because we was in the
Gold Country. So that's where Caviar Gold came from Old
Rush in California. It's a good tie in the Golden State. Yeah,
I mean, I see the relationship right there. And not
only that, the logos dope. I feel like it's just
has that big brand. How do you get these connections
(05:11):
dog with the j and Silent Bob and the ice cube,
how do those even before we do that, even before
I want to hear like you know, I mean more
about the brand, because I know you guys got different
product lines. Let's talk about your your your product lines first, man,
and then we'll bring the talent please. So basically, what
I do is I create strains. So all these strains here,
I created the whole cannabinoid profile within the turpenes, the moisture,
(05:36):
then the t A, C, CBD, everything that's in there.
I can control it all the way up to about
two percent in consistency. So so you're the actual grower.
When you say you control, you're the grower. No, I can.
I can take a hunter pounds from a hundred different
farmers and do what I do, and every one of
them will test and test, taste exactly the same. And
(05:58):
you do this with all your batches, every bad That's
how we do it. That's everything. Like we've tested with
over forty labs and they say consistency is five percent.
We're within two percent. So we're the most consistent marijuana
brand in the world. So so how does that? How
does that? I mean, you know, you know, how how
do you break that down to that to the average listening, right,
(06:18):
that's like, you know, how do you do that? Like
you know, like, how is that possible? Right, you're're talking
about grabbing a you know, O G kush from this
person and sour diesel from that person and when it
comes to you it becomes caviar gold. You know, is
it one of the lines I read? Because you guys
put pure liquid T HC inside the butt to make
it stronger. Yeah, so you can. You can actually rouse
and press a cave cone and get a gram of
(06:40):
oil out of it. It's the only pre role in
the world you can do that. That's good. Wow, he said,
you could just get a press it and just get
a straight gram right there and go to the head.
That's huge. That's huge and so so so so, but no, like,
how does that end up working? I mean, so you
just have a formula that works for you. So we're
(07:02):
patting the process and that you know, we just used
that processes. It's basically math and we can, you know,
put on so many cannabinoids. But we wanted to be
what level do you break the whole point down and
just rebuild it? Fantastic? Yeah, that's awesome, dude. So let's
talk about some of those products. I mean, you know,
you you've got a nice display here of course with
(07:22):
you know celebrities, ice cube and and hold on, hold on,
hold on. Look, I'm just curious, how does that even
come to your mind though to come up with that?
Like where you stone? When you came up? What do
we just frayed this with a little liquid to see?
Like how does it even Let's try this? Yeah, like
where did that come from? Where does that? I don't know.
I can't remember the last time I wasn't stone, like
(07:44):
twenties something years. That's great, So when where does that
come from? Though? Like you guys were sitting down, your
wife sat there, you and your buddy looked at each other,
like where does that thought even formulate? Well? Um, basically
what happened is we uh we was part of some
dispensaries in Colorado, and I went out looking for the
flower and I bought thirty pounds of himp before hip
(08:06):
ever was around. And so when I went back to
the place to sell it, we tested it came back
in like one per cent t a C. And so
that's when I was like, oh ship, and that was
all the money we had. So I just when I
tried to figure out how to put t a C
back into the plant and over years and years of
research and development, we finally got it figured out and
(08:26):
mastered and that's when we're patting it. Fantastic. That's brilliant.
So talk about some of these products up here. Um,
we got the keen Cavy that's uh, that's my strain.
And then you got the good Day that's ice cube strain.
And then you got snoogins, and you got the that's
uh Kevin Smith. And then you got uh ice water
(08:47):
which is a slim four hunter and uh, and then
you got the Cavy our gold the bud that's our signature.
So that's like our peer breed of the cannabis products.
So we we we you to make that product is
we take one whole plant and turn it into that product.
So the oil, the key, the typenees, everything came from
(09:09):
that plant. Fantastic. So you know, if I'm not mistaken,
when when you hit one of the caviar gold products,
generally they're infused, you know, with different flavors, correct, correct, different,
So tell us some of those typeene profiles and how
that works with with the product. Was that, in my opinion,
(09:29):
you're one of the original you know guys that that
ever launched that to the market, you know, like I mean,
there was no one really doing the caviar gold like
a joint that was, you know that you can get
a strawberry blunt or a strawberry joint or whatever it was,
you know, like the way it broke down. I remember
smelling them all the time just on the market, like, wow,
those are you know? For for me, I feel like
you were one of the first, if not the first,
(09:52):
to ever hit the market with a joint that was.
I feel that way about their company, And well, right,
I mean that's that's when I think we were the first.
We were the very first infused product. Like nobody even
knew infused smokable until I said it, you know. And
then we were the very first legal pre roll sold
in the United States. In Colorado, it was illegal to
(10:14):
sell pre rolls, and they were the first you know,
legal legal state. And what I did was I put
up cavicne in a bag and called it a t
cone and pushed instruction on there to dip it in
hot water and then drink the water. Well, nobody ever
dipped in hot water. They smoked it. That was the
(10:35):
first legal pre roll on the market. That's good. What
and how many do you guys have now all together?
How many pre roll How we got eleven different strains
of pre rolls and moon rocks and then we got
the gold nice. But you know, when we come back,
let's talk more about that, because I want to dive
into some of these different flavors, because I've had some
(10:55):
of myself as cannabis talking along. When we come back more,
we'll be back with Cannabis Talk one oh one. Welcome
back to Cannabis Talk one oh one. Welcome back to
(11:16):
Cannabis Talk one on one. Blue and Joe Grande, what's
going on? What time is it? Blue time time? That's right?
I think higher with Dime Industries. Find them in California,
Arizona and Oklahoma. Dime Industry has been the leadings trusted
source of cleaning potent medicine using state of the art
and stainless steel including food grain, glass, ceramic plates, and
(11:37):
enhanced battery life. The one thousand milligram cartridges are amazing.
Check out the website Dime Industries dot com. Are on
Instagram Dime dot Industries. Now we've got Michael Brunts and
the owner and founder of Caviar gold. We're just talking
about the super weed that you guys have, and do
you say thirteen different brands exact different strains. Yeah, we
(11:57):
got thirteen different strains and uh, working out a bunch
of new stuff that's gonna come out later on this
year too, Like how many more to sneak peak? Don't
just throw it out there and not tell us five
more a little earlier. It's a little earlier right now,
and talking about yeah, he's just a little bit. He's like, yeah,
a little. So when did that? When did the approach
(12:18):
for you, Michael become this like going out and get
the first one, the Joe. What's the first one you
guys have? The well, the very first Well, the first
one we did was Slim, So we did. I did
Slim's first Slim for her before what you mean, first
one ever at first celebrity joint, every got you got you, yeah,
celebrity brand. So I did his and then I liked
(12:42):
everything worked out. So Kevin Smith came into store because
you know, when you got the best weed that they
you know, real smokers, they go and smoke that product.
And so Kevin Smith, he loves my product. Before I
already made his weed I went to his house. He
had like giant bags of empty Cavvy cone tubes. He's like, bro,
I've been getting these. He's like, look, I support you.
(13:05):
He's like, can you re feel easy? Yeah? It was awesome.
And so then I just, you know, sat down with
him and I was like, what do you like? You know,
what do you what do you want your weed to be? Like?
Tell me, educate me what you like. And so he
started telling me, and I started putting it together and
bringing him samples and then boom, he was in love
with it. Yeah, we launched in It's a great product.
(13:27):
Who came after that? And then we did after Kevin Smith.
Then we did ice Cube. Okay, how long have you
been with ice Cube on this project? We're going on
a year. It was a year right now, So congratulations
and that so and then you guys just launched just
the Good Day with ice Cube Good Day and Friday
Cush and Friday Cush. That's dope, because you know, I
(13:47):
was when I saw the Good Day, I thought, oh,
maybe they didn't get the licensing for Friday, you know
what I mean? Because that's that was risking the way
they spell it f R y d A y, which
probably why I did it. Yeah, probably why exactly. Yeah, smart,
But the logo looks very similar with the coloring and
it's yeah, I mean it's a big it's a big deal.
But you got cues face on it, so you're still
(14:09):
that's automatic. Yeah, you're you're winning right there. So what
kind of what you know, let's talk about cue what? What?
What kind of you know, um, you know touch? Did
he put to it? I mean, does he have any
input on this or is it just something that you
do for him? No, it's well the same thing they
all have. They all have input on it. So I
went to him, it was like, you know, what do
you like and started talking to him about the weeds
he like, and he gave me that information. I went
(14:29):
back and put together and brought him samples and we
smoked and he was like, this is it? I like it?
I love it. Really, that's fantastic, man. I think that's
great Michael, that you guys that have done that with
your artists to put out their brands. You have, right,
I mean, you don't have to, but you definitely should,
you know, in the sense of especially what Michael to him.
(14:51):
I was like, you know, if if you're not gonna
smoke it. They're not gonna smoke it. So it's got
to be what you like, right, It's gotta be when
you're holding right, and what are you holding? What you holds.
All I smoke is keen cavey. I don't smoke nothing else.
That's my strain. I built it right, You made it
for you, And that's why people they end up find it.
You know, people like it. They're like, yo, this is
what I like to I love that man. So so
(15:12):
so there's two different ones. There's the good day and
then there's a Friday. What's what distinguished them that from
each other just mostly the tirpene profile. They're both super
strong into us. Okay, good day there right now is
coming in somewhere around eight hundred and that's just a
flower or is that a that's a that's a pre role.
That's just a pre role right there. But we do
(15:33):
have it in a flower also, Okay, got you, got you?
And then the good day? Do you know what that
one comes in there? I think that once somewhere around
seven thirty seven forty right now, okay, nice and then
and where can people find these? Most Almost all the
dispensarieson We're everywhere. Okay, you guys are sixty We're in California, Nevada, Arizona, Oklahoma, Michigan,
(16:01):
in Washington. Fantastic, you know. And and let me just
bro like like you're you've been on the grind like
you know, I mean, we've we actually had you know,
this is years ago. We had an office on the
same street as yours. Remember that. Yeah, we were at
the corner of the corner spot and then you know,
me and you never really got to to run into
(16:21):
each other. We spoke a couple of times on the phone. Um,
but I mean these guys were literally on the same
block as us. Are you serious? Yeah? Bro, like like
we had no guarden grown the other spot by the
by the flood or whatever we had the flood out. Yeah, yeah,
we were. We were sitting there and it's like if
someone was like, bro, this is the same block Caviart goals,
(16:42):
I was like, what, like, yeah, caviar goals right around
the corner, and I was like no way, Like you
know that. Also, I ended up popping up over there
and I was like, oh ship, Like I didn't realize
that you guys were right there. And then um we
we ended up having a flood at that location and
our whole place, like I wanna, we went out of
business as soon as California went recreational. We went out
(17:04):
of business for a year. It took us a year
to get a license. Well that's called restructuring and going
out of business. Because you're still here, let me just
give terminology is called restructure. Restruct Yeah, as restructured you know.
Um uh so so so anyways, so now going into
the good days in the in the fridays, let's talk
about the Silent Bob project and uh, you know what
(17:27):
was going on with this one? So that that is uh,
those three strains there are the first marijuana strains to
make take a major part in a movie. No ship, Yeah,
so Jay and Silent Bob reboot, all three of those
strains are in their Snoogins actually saves the movie at
the end. Oh nice, nice, So random as that. That's
(17:48):
what I mean. Your brand is so to me iconic.
And I see what you've done, and I just applaud you, Michael.
It's really you know, it's just you and your wife
started this. Yeah, and you you're in all these states.
Give somebody listening the entrepreneur that's going, I want to
get into the cannabis game. Folks, you're hearing Michael's and
then his wife started this. How hard did it go
(18:10):
to start a brand? And then getting to the next
state is the one? First state? The hardest are just
the next state the hardest as now that you're in
eight or nine states. I always think, really really big.
So from day one, I was trying to go from
the minute into every state, Like when I talked to
people about it. From the day I started, I was like,
this is gonna be a worldwide brand. I'm gonna be
(18:31):
in everybody's house. So that's how I think. And I
just moved that way. Well you do. So when I
look at like I said, man, I you know, I'm
gonna give problems where I've seen him. I have been
in the centustry in my entire life. I've just grown
up in it, you know, Like, and I'm a CALLI boy.
But when I see caviar gold and and and I don't,
I don't see it goes back into my real young ages,
(18:52):
you know what I'm saying, Like when I was you know, young,
you know, but I'm saying as the industry was evolving,
you know, for Callie Cats, I seen you coming early,
real early. And not only that billboards, you know what
I'm saying, Like when no one had billboards, brod a,
That's what I'm saying. Yeah, remember when when when you're talking,
(19:12):
which is big though, you know what I mean, Like
before anybody was doing that. So I had also started
the cold clothing company, Caviard, and so that's what we
put on the billboard. So I put a shirt with
my wife's breast and put the logo on there and boom,
it was on Jay Leno three times. Yeah, yeah, man,
(19:35):
That's what I'm saying. Though. It was like is again
you know, nobody really did that, you know, and and
um to do that and come out into the market
and just really be hammering down and and you know, advertising, branding,
marketing and then doing you know, a product that no
one had really because the infusion of the flavors it
wasn't there, Like, it wasn't there. And I watched you
(19:57):
guys come out and hit strong with that, man, and
could those to you for that? And and still being
here today because a lot of those guys came in
you know, hot and heavy and really, you know, weren't
able to kind of sustain themselves, right because the industry
wasn't ready to scale and it wasn't ready to market
with everybody at that same time. Like we were coming in,
all of us had you know, different visions of you know,
(20:19):
how long we're gonna still be here? Right, And and
then I think it's it's you know, like my aunt
would tell my family would tell me, Look, you were
pushing cannabis before it was cool, Like it was cool
in your mind, but the rest of the country wasn't
cool with it. Like, you know, we were like it's cool,
and like, no, no, it's not. Like this ship is
not cool yet, you know, And we were in our
(20:39):
minds it was like, yes it is, you know. And
and you're one of those pioneers. Man. So it's good
to see you guys out here grinding and putting it down. Man.
I truly, I truly love it. Now there's a new
product line that I do want to talk to about
with the hemp and the and the tobacco, right or
is that it's tobacco free, but it's hemp with nicotine,
hemp with nicotine, what it's cannabis Talk one on one.
(21:01):
We'll be right back after this break. We'll be right
back with Cannabis Talk one oh one. Welcome back to
Cannabis Talk one oh one's Cannabis Talk one on one.
Shoe let him know. Oh. Advanced Nutrients is the first
(21:24):
and only complete growing system for cannabis that optimizes all
phases of the vegetive and bloom cycles to bring your
crops for their true genetic potential. Discover more at advanced
nutrients dot com. On the show right now, you guys,
oh gee, cavi are Gold. You heard of the brand,
You heard of the clothing line. You heard of it somehow,
(21:45):
some way. If you haven't smoked it, will you need
to go find it? During eight states, thousands of dispensaries.
Michael Brunson Blue just mentioned, which made me go, wow,
I had no idea that you guys had a hemp
and new product line. Talk about it. Yeah, So we
just launched last week. Um, I've been working on this
project for two years. We got seven patents on it
(22:09):
and UH basically what I've done is UH infused nicotine
into the hemp and I can control the levels, So
I have four different levels from four to zero. And
the object is is to give people to wean themselves
off the nicotine and going down to zero with the
same flavor, the same sensation. So you're smoking, to stop smoking,
(22:30):
so you spray the nicket And is it less nicotine?
How does nicotine control? And how does that measure? It is?
Like when I said less, I don't even know if
that was a true statement to make. Yeah, So basically
we control the level of nicotine that we put into
the hemp. So each level we got, you know, we
go from four to three to two to one to zero.
Zero is no nicotine at all. You know, nicotine it's
(22:53):
so hard to get out. Blues been off it now
for few weeks, right, Yeah, I just want to say,
like for me, you know, cancer, nicotine, smoke, cannabis, you know,
all these things have been in my life, my whole life.
You know. I I often tell people, you know, while
you know, I was in junior high or elementary school
going to school, you know, my dad was smoking joint
all the way period, Like it's just what in the
(23:17):
car like you know, yeah, with the windows up, every
window was up, and I was in the back seat
like it was normal. You know. I used to get
out and people be like, bro, you like you know
and I didn't. They knew before. Some of the kids
in my school knew before I knew kind of ship.
They were like, bro, you smell like any talking about buddy,
(23:37):
you know, and then like you can't have any of
those at my house, like those what those roaches right there?
Like okay, all the teachers are like that Christopher right
and just and you have to think about it, like
half of those teachers were smoking back then too, because
it was different. You know, it was smoking was the
thing to do. But but you know, going through that process,
I've been smoking, and I liked the one is two things.
(24:02):
Hemp is it's different nicotine, you know, you know you're
saying nicotine free or tobacco free. What is it? It's
tobacco free, so no additives. They don't have all the chemicals,
you know, like a tobacco cigarette has over seven thousand
chemicals in it because of the tobacco. Yeah. Yeah, and
the nicotine, right, the nicotine is is usually what everybody
is actually after. Anyways, they just put the other things
(24:25):
that are in there that are all um, what do
you call addicting super addicting? Right, so this is you're saying,
an alternative to help you actually get off the smoke,
to get off tobacco. Yes, and stop using nicotine. And
where does that loved, Michael, Where does that love co
from to help people like that? I don't know. I
guess because nobody loved me when I was a kid.
(24:45):
Coming I got you, bro, you know, I mean, I'll
go ahead and hug you, you know, but no, because
like seriously, like you know, you can see something like
this from from any company, and I go, this is
dope what you guys are doing at cap here Gold,
Like this could be a product that could be used
(25:06):
all around the world. This is what I'm saying. Yeah,
how does I mean where did you? Did you launch
this out anywhere where? That We just launched at a
s D last week and we we opened up about
twenty retail stores at s D. Wow, dude, in one
tobacco industry could hate you now tobacco three days at
a s D. Congratulations. Yeah, that's fantastic. It was crazy
(25:29):
because I called I was like I need to get
a booth and it was like we only have one
booth left. And I was like okay, And it was
like it's in the very back, right next to the
smoking section. I was like, awesome, yeah, yeah, I'd give
people cigarettes, they'd go outside, the smoke come back. I'm
never smoking tobacco again, no way. One guy broke down
(25:51):
crying to me and he was like, I love you,
and I was crying. I was like, whoa to the bathroom.
He was with his wife. That's all right. I just
remember both. How are these are these rolled cigarettes? Are
they like? How do you use them? Yeah? They're broke.
They're exact same, you know, road just like a cigarette.
(26:13):
They looked they look it looks exactly. And here's the thing, Brodie,
I swear to God I would I would smoke one
in a heartbeat right now. Had I not. It's probably
like my fourth or fifth, maybe sixth week of not
smoking anything except for cannabis, you know. But as far
as tobacco or you know, cigarettes and tobacco free, no,
I know, yeah, no, it's not. It has that nicotine
(26:36):
to get you scratched. Because because I smoked, you know,
for a lot of years, and then I stopped, and
then I had some hemp um rolled cigarettes and I
started smoking, and I started smoking cigarettes and and getting
back I just like smoking period, you know. So yeah,
that that inhalence a cigarette thing is? Is that? Is it?
Just that it's it's a big Mike bees a work bro.
(27:02):
He's like, yeah, come on, let's go get wood. I've
already talked to myself back here. I'm not gonna ever
deny it. I love of smoking, you know, um, but
but you know, or else I would try the hell
out of that, dude. And what's it called? Right here?
Have you? Yeah? Havevy natural Havevy? Dude, It's gonna go big, bro,
that thing is gonna go big. Havevy. I think that
product a loan it well, and only that that product
has the potential to go world. Why are you? Did
(27:24):
you get an ac? Yeah? We just no, um no
not yeah, we just uh like one one of our
orders was Mexico City. They had stores, so it's already
and we opened up a couple of small islands. So
let's go. That's great. What is the pack like this?
Cust somebody, um, the end user is gonna end up
paying uh like ten dollars for two packs. For two packs,
(27:48):
so it's less expensive than a syrit Yeah about half price.
How many in a pack? Uh? Twenty to a pack
just like a house cigarettes. So it's half the price
of a syrit. The problem that's now now you're really
knocked them out because just one. Yeah, even the smoke shops, right,
they need that because you know how many we have
smoke shops in the past and stuff like that where
(28:09):
that we owned and my brother owns them still as well.
But uh, you know there's always the guys like, yo,
what's the chiefest pack you guy? You know there there's
always that guy, you know what I mean. So that's
that's huge right there. Yeah, and it's actually a good product,
you know. And it's actually a good product. And you
know what, let's crack one open, let me jove one
right now, man. So so what what's up? Go ahead, Joe.
(28:31):
I was just gonna say, it's just so innovative and
I had no idea we had a product back this
right before we went to the break blew. You made
me literally feel like a weirdo, going, oh, I couldn't
believe it. Michael, Is there more products in the work
like this that you guys are trying to muster up
over there at Caviart Gold. Yeah, we're constantly bringing out
new stuff. I actually got a I wanted to bring it,
but I lost the prototype last night. But I made
(28:54):
a glass tip that's gonna come in every cavy cone
from now on. And you put it on the end
of your joint, and it's designed to cool the smoke,
so you get a low temperature hit and it enhances
the turps. So it tastes amazing and you can put
it on any joint and enhances the turps. That's a
glass cools the smoke coming in. Yeah, because there's right
(29:15):
at the bottom of the filter, there's holes drilled into
the glass, so when you suck on it, it brings
air from the outside filter it and it cools the smoke.
And then when it hit it, because you know turpeenes,
they're an alcohol, so that heat is making them evaporate.
They're leaving and they're trapped in that joint until they
get to the end. So if you cool it off
right there, it turns right into a typeene again. And
(29:37):
where does that engineering come from? Here? You got what
you got going up in there? Yeah? Where's the engineering
skills there? I got a degree in caviat golden do
you come up with the spray TC the holes on
that little tip right there. Sound like, Wow, you're right,
that's so inventive. Like and I followed pat On, that
(30:00):
is too as you should write. Man, we're on sar tank.
When are those coming out? You said you forgot to
bring them, Michael? When did they come out? I only
had the prototype, but I just ordered, um, a half
a million pieces. They'll be here in like two weeks. Nice. Nice?
Are those hitting all states? They'll be in every cavy
cone everywhere? Now, are you going to sell that to
(30:22):
the market to like to the smoke shots someverybody else?
Are You're just gonna kind of it's only for cavy cones.
It's gonna be for cavy cones for for now, for now,
we just have that conversation on the side for now,
you know. Um, honestly, I love what you're doing. Keep
up the good work man. And and I think it's
time for the high five, Joe. What do you think
absolutely is it's that time of the show Michael that
(30:44):
we like to ask all of our guests five simple questions.
The good thing is you just get to answer monesty.
High five with Michael Brunson, the owner and founder of
Caviar Gold. If you haven't been to the website, are
bought one of their cones. Well, you're sleeping. How old
are you the first time? Michael? You smoke cannabis? And
where'd you get it from? I was seventeen and I
(31:06):
got it from a friend of mine in Michigan in
a basement. Winner he said, he said, I got this
good stuff, and I was like, oh yeah. He was like,
it's Michigan homegrown, and so he said, we gotta sit down.
We act like I put it. We put our seat
belts on, and then we're smoking. Was stuck. Yeah, that
(31:31):
was the first time you did. So you got high
the first time, because that's a lot of a lot
of people don't actually get high there first time, you
know what I mean? Like the first time it's regular
because it's the regular, or yeah it's or we you
know whatever. Question number two of the high five, what
is your favorite way to use cannabis? More than likely? Yeah,
you already said that. He said, the original caveat gold right,
(31:53):
that's the original, sir, all right? Question favorite way to
use is there you go? Question number three crazies. Place
you ever used cannabis or smoke? Michael um the Federal Building?
Which one San Francisco, really outside. I just leaned up
against the building smoked there. I thought that was pretty cool.
(32:16):
That is pretty nice. It is very just leaned down
the wall, like what were you doing in the city
smoking a joint. I was in like two thousand thirteen
when we first launched Caviart Gold, and you know, I
was just well, I was just out there, just in
the streets. And I mean, it's funnier because you know,
like I said, I felt like it had a heavy
(32:37):
bay prush from the Bay with this that's where we started,
as in the Bay. When we started in Santa Rosa, Okay.
And then that's funny that you said, because I felt
I felt like the company like came from the Bay,
and I didn't know that for sure. And then when
you said Oklahoma and all those other things. So it
actually started in Santa Rosa. Yeah, actually started in Colorado
(33:01):
and then went from Colorado to Santa Rosa and then
everywhere else. When you say started, mean started legally, like
you know, I mean licensing, because Colorado was first until
you guys were like, We're going to Colorado, get a crack. Yeah,
we were in. We we were in because I mean
operating in Colorado trying to get our license. Back then,
they would let you work until they told you couldn't
get your license. And they told me I couldn't get
(33:23):
my license because I wasn't a resident for two years.
You remember that. That's what made me go to California,
you know, and everything starts in California. So I was like,
that's where we gotta go. Yeah, it's true. And you
went to the Bay Area where you wouldn't make it
if it wasn't good. It's true. They'll call you a
quick question number four the High Five. What is your
go to munchie after you get high? Michael, Um, I don't.
(33:49):
I don't really eat munches. Chicken fried chicken? Is in
a care your popeyees like chicken? Yeah, let's go. Question
never five of the High Five with Michael Brunson, the
owner and founder of Caviard Gold. If you could smoke
cannabis with anyone dead or alive, who would it be
(34:12):
and why? Michael? I can't answer. Nice. I'm stuck. Wow,
I thought the mics got cut off. I was about
to say pick, can anybody hear me? Then? I didn't
(34:34):
know if it was my pain pills and I couldn't
see you guys moving if it was a stuck you know,
you guys were stuck on stupid. I'm like, wait a minute,
see the screen moving behind you, and said this advanced nutrients.
They were going, I want to say, my father, but
it was like trying to like it was tears almost
to my eyes, so it was like trying to so deep.
My dad taught me this whole game, bro and and um,
(34:57):
you know when everybody asked, it's it's pretty simple for me.
I smoke my pap again, you know, because I smoked
with my pops growing up, you know what I mean.
And taught me how to sell. He taught me how
to you know what I mean, taught me what not
to do, time me not to sell cocaine, you know,
only weed, you know what I mean. Like this is
what we sell. We don't see anything else. I remember
when I was like seven years old, my dad had plants.
They were like eight feet tall. Yeah. He grew him
(35:18):
in chicken in the back of the chicken coop and
they grew up over the whole the whole chicken the
like the whole barn. They were sticking over the top
of the barn, right yeah. Yeah, that's that's the same
kind of same, same thing. For how many plants and
pops have like that? Oh he only had like two
or three. He just did it for fun. Yeah, yeah,
for his own personal Yeah, his friends, him and his friends,
(35:39):
my uncle's you know what I mean. It was just
like local, it wasn't you know. I mean, it's pops
not around anymore. No, he's how long ago when I
was eighteen? Okay, so smoking pops are definitely Yeah, now
you're a grown man after that, let's sit down and smoke.
I hear. That's exactly the same for me. Bro he
saw I know, you know when he said at you
(36:00):
know what I mean, it brings it to my heart too,
because that's that would be my Uh you know, there's
not even another person I could even think of, you
know what I mean, and somebody for your lost. His
dad's got, My parents are gone. I get it. Man,
it's not a good club to be in. It's it's
it's just let you it reminds you, you know what
I mean. Uh, you know, living is very risky. Uh,
(36:21):
it's so risky that you'll never get out alive. You know,
I'm saying so and it's so real and spiritual. When
you want to smoke with someone, you want to smoke
with someone deeper. And I love hearing that about you. Michael.
Is there anything about Caviar Gold or about the company
where you guys are moving. I mean, this big guy's
que product. If you ever want to get him on
the show, and we could push her anybody else as
far as uh, you have to also push it to
(36:43):
talk about their brands and their strange We would love
to have him on to hear how they selected it.
Because hearing what you said of letting them try and
explain to you what they like and you're going back
to the lab to work on it is just fucking
unbelievable because, like you say, and you're on your web page,
smoke what they're smoking. This is what they like. You
(37:03):
want to know what the owner of Kevi your Gold likes.
Here's Michael's brand, here's their brand. I think that's phenomenal.
Kevin Smith gave me a Christmas president that said to
my hero, that made me feel pretty good. Yeah, that's fact,
it is though. I mean so so my point is
we're here for you, we support you, We look at
you as a legend of the game. Keep up to
(37:23):
good work, bro, Like I just you know, it's not
easy to to develop, put together these products like this
and then go through the roller coaster of the cannabis
you know, um, you know, just rules and regulations of
every state, of every city, that of every politician. You
have to deal with all the different you know, like
I said, the rules changing, you know what I mean,
(37:43):
Like you've probably went through you know, I don't know
ten twelve different changes, right, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, there's
just and it's just it's a roller coaster. And and
to have product lines that are recognized in the industry,
that are in stores, that are that are actually he's thriving.
It's great to see, great to hear. Man. Is there
anything else that we forgot about the brand that you
(38:04):
like to bring up before we'll let you get down
out of here. Um, I think I think we're good. Yeah,
I can't think anything right now. Well, listen, man, we
we appreciate you joined the show. Anytime you want to
come back and tell us about your product line and
how you're doing, you're welcome to come here your fandom.
I just drop off some product anytime we're there. Joe
doesn't even smoke. Smoke, just drop off some stuff. Man,
(38:26):
it's the funnier priority of smoke. Flower. Yeah, well there
it is. Guys. It's Cannabis Talk one on one. And
remember this, If no one else loves you, we do.
We do. Go get that caver goal. Thank you for
listening to Cannabis Talk one on one on the I
Heart Radio app, Apple podcast or wherever you get your podcasts.
