Speaker 4 (00:29):
Welcome to the show.
Speaker 5 (00:30):
What's up?
Speaker 3 (00:31):
Yeah, man, I appreciate you for being here. I'm actually
finger finger breaking down some of this sticky iggy eight
right now.
Speaker 4 (00:40):
It's so sticky it is, it's ridiculous. We run out
of grinders.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
But before we started to ask what your favorite strain
was right now currently and which one was it? The
gas Face? I packed a blunt of the gas Face,
and let me tell you it is phenomenal. But yes,
it is sticky. If you're breaking it with your fingers,
definitely get ready because like it's the dude I.
Speaker 5 (01:00):
Got, I got friends of mine.
Speaker 6 (01:01):
I called me back and be like, yo, bro, do
you have something a little bit less strong than that?
Guess as I go to Leeds all day long.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Come on, bro, just take one one less hit? Bro?
Speaker 4 (01:11):
You know, I mean all of that lift and you
gotta be careful, you.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
Can you give me something less strong?
Speaker 4 (01:16):
Get out of here.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
That's crazy And.
Speaker 5 (01:19):
They smoke a lot, and I'm just like, yeah, it's
a couch planter, that's for sure.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
Sometimes it be like that though, because I don't know, man,
you don't want to be Hella ripped for certain things,
That's all I'm gonna say.
Speaker 4 (01:30):
So, Yeah, I understand that Charlett Kane.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
Kane's a little more steady smell.
Speaker 6 (01:36):
Still gets a connoisseur like myself, Hi as fuck okay,
but doesn't couch plant me.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
That's what we like so far.
Speaker 4 (01:42):
Viewers that may not know who you are.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
Let's give a little background on Rommy and you know,
the connection and the creation at eight one eight.
Speaker 5 (01:50):
Yeah, definitely definitely eight.
Speaker 6 (01:51):
When they brand started with me and two of my
best friends and partners that we've been in a lot
of businesses and throughout our childhood, we thought that there
was a kind of a gap for really consistent premium flower.
We saw a lot of stuff that came into market
that was not consistent. We saw that we could actually
do something little bit different there. So together we made
(02:11):
one of.
Speaker 5 (02:12):
The larger indoor premium.
Speaker 6 (02:13):
Production facilities that's in California today. We're about four thy,
three hundred lights strong, thirty five hundred pounds.
Speaker 5 (02:22):
Every single month.
Speaker 7 (02:23):
Wow, every month we moved.
Speaker 5 (02:25):
Every month, we sell it.
Speaker 6 (02:26):
We got buyers left, you know, we got everybody wants
our stuff. Yeah, it sells out and we're proud to
do it too.
Speaker 4 (02:32):
That gotta be a hell of a feeling.
Speaker 5 (02:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (02:35):
When I say it, I'm like, that's a standard for him.
Speaker 5 (02:41):
Right now. I'm a standard.
Speaker 6 (02:42):
I was a computer nerd back in my day. So
for you to tell me that I would be pushing.
Speaker 5 (02:46):
That weight, that would be my So.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
Okay, so you did computer stuff before jumping into the
cannabis world.
Speaker 5 (02:52):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, what was that? Yes, I started building
computer since I was like twelve years old.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Okay, you know that's what's up. So what was the
first computer you built? First computer? Your belt, a packard belt,
a packard bel.
Speaker 4 (03:04):
I have no idea what that is.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
It's old, it is old.
Speaker 5 (03:09):
I used to the big floppy disk.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
Yeah, I remember when the Oregon Trail was on floppy desk,
That's what I remember. Yeah, And so what what made you,
you know, get over into the cannabis world. What made
you get that push?
Speaker 6 (03:24):
Well, in high school, you know, like most of the people,
you start smoking weed.
Speaker 7 (03:27):
Yeah, people did it before.
Speaker 5 (03:28):
Of course I started. Maybe maybe I'm considered a late
bloomer to some people's eyes.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
You know, Hey, I hit I hit it at eighteen.
Speaker 4 (03:34):
I hit it at eighteen, so it was like seventeen
eighteen for me too.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I like the problem was I didn't
know how to smoke, so I will be hidding whatever.
You know, they had rolled up, but I wasn't inhaling.
It was just filling up. My mouth was smoking, blowing out.
Nobody ever told me.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Yeah, isn't that crazy that that hat like that? That
actually does happen to a lot of people when they
first smoke weed.
Speaker 4 (03:56):
Is that? Yeah, because you know how to inhale.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
And then I bought a bong when I was seventeen,
eighteen years old, and that changed everything.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
Marty turned into an astronaut at that point. He's like,
I'm going to the moon.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
Yeah, was such a nube on the bone though. I
had a three park boone. I didn't even put any
water in it. We just we just packed it.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
And smoke it. And that shit was maybe. And then
somebody at the part was like, I think water and
that ship.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
I was like yeah, and you're like, oh, so this
is how it's supposed to work.
Speaker 4 (04:24):
It was a lot of smooth as that. But that
was the first time I got high, and I was like, fuck.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
The first time he smoked. First time he smoked. Do
you remember what how you smoked it? What you smoked?
I think it was a pipe, a pipe, yeah, still
a little handpipe.
Speaker 6 (04:36):
Yeah, yeah, you know, yes, I think I was about
sixteen years old.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
Probably no name. Strain that you got down the street.
Speaker 5 (04:43):
Was, yeah, probably had a bunch of pesticides.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
I smoked a bunch of meds back in the day.
I'm originally from the South, so like New Orleans, Alabama,
like area that south. Like we were smoking a lot
of meds, a lot of meds.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
Yeah, that's very unfortunate.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
I know it was. It was, but we we evolved.
We're better now. Welcome to the West side, I know, right,
the best side.
Speaker 7 (05:03):
Yeah, we've been spoiled.
Speaker 4 (05:04):
Where are you from. We talked about earlier. Where are
you from again?
Speaker 5 (05:07):
Well, originally I.
Speaker 6 (05:07):
Was born in Israel, but I came here in ninety one,
so I came right during the desert storms.
Speaker 5 (05:12):
So having vestles yea over.
Speaker 7 (05:15):
Your heads, yeah, wild, Yeah.
Speaker 6 (05:18):
So we came over. We came over here because my
grandfather had been here since like the eighties. But so
I grew up in NoHo.
Speaker 4 (05:24):
So you grew up around the whee culture too. Yeah,
also spoiled.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
If we're spoiled, I've never thank god, I've never had
to smoke mane where I'm from. Yeah, the Bay Area
always has so many flavors, like forty dollars quarters.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
Forty dollars quarters was the way to go down in
the South back in the day.
Speaker 5 (05:38):
So we talked about this earlier.
Speaker 6 (05:39):
Yes, Now, like back in the days when we were sixteen,
didn't have money, We didn't scrape some of those bowls,
some of those resins.
Speaker 7 (05:45):
Oh all day.
Speaker 5 (05:47):
It's been a long time this business.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
You've never waited, Marty, you've never scraped a bowl. I
haven't to get the resident into a little ball and
then you hit that ball.
Speaker 4 (05:57):
You've never done.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
Know that's crazy. I feel like that's like being inducted
into like the community. It's like you have to do
that at one point.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
Yeah, well I would have to be like very I
don't know, I don't, I don't.
Speaker 4 (06:14):
Yeah, these are new things.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Learning about Marty. So so, Marty, did you have you
ever hit like a gravity made out of a two
liters coke bottle?
Speaker 5 (06:23):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (06:23):
Of course, okay, you know, and we we used the
chopped off what's the big water jug that you put
on top of the ones?
Speaker 4 (06:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (06:32):
Oh wow, the big boys. Okay, yeah, come on, Marty's got,
he's got.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
I'm like a boogie snapper, But that don't mean I
got a smoke resin approve the end of her bowl.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
Come on, y'all.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
It just it does show that you were definitely a
Cali boy in the Yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
Yeah, born and raised, shut out the Bay for always
having good flavors.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
So so, yeah, so you switched from computers to cannabis
and it just did it just take off for you?
Or like, how did it work?
Speaker 5 (06:58):
Actually?
Speaker 6 (06:59):
I used to live up in the mountains, far away
from anybody away, no neighbors around me, and one.
Speaker 5 (07:06):
Of my boys came over.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
This is we're not talking humble, are we?
Speaker 5 (07:09):
No?
Speaker 6 (07:09):
No, no, like in outside the valley, outside the valley,
I got you so to be specific, up in the
like the Silmar area.
Speaker 7 (07:18):
Yeah's there you.
Speaker 5 (07:19):
Start to get into like desolate kind of road.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
Beautiful area up there. Great.
Speaker 7 (07:23):
Yeah, I had.
Speaker 6 (07:24):
A nice view of the valley, that's for sure. But uh,
one of my boys, while I was just a consumer,
came over and he was in the hydro business, and
he's like, bro, you know, you got like the dog
spot to grow, like there's nobody around you.
Speaker 7 (07:35):
He growing.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
And we're talking outdoor indoor in that at that moment.
Speaker 6 (07:39):
Well he was talking about like indoor yeah, you know,
getting like shipping containers up there.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
That's what they always say.
Speaker 5 (07:46):
He gave me ideas.
Speaker 6 (07:47):
Yeah, I ran with it, so you know, he got
me all the equipment, gave me a cheat sheet.
Speaker 5 (07:51):
Till today, I still have that.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Same Hey, shout out, shout out to this man. Right, yeah,
that's a good friend.
Speaker 5 (07:56):
Yeah yeah, you know I'll say, no starts hydro. I'm
sure you mind.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
There you go, no stress hydro. Shout out and shout out.
Speaker 5 (08:03):
That's my boy. Uh, and he's the best. And he
gave me that cheat sheet, said we're.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
Talking about no Stress Hydro up in North Hollywood. Dude,
that's where I bought my first ship from. So I
bought Yeah, I brought my first like nutrients and stuff
from from them. It's probably not the same guy we're
talking about, but that's pretty dope.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
That's damn yeah, I'm having that stuff. That just dumb
to do it right after Chuck. He just did it.
But I was like, I know exactly what's Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
No Stress Hydro up. Look shout out, big shout out
to them, big shout out to them. Already interrupted, not.
Speaker 5 (08:34):
At all, not at all, dude.
Speaker 6 (08:35):
He's a really good friend and you know, so I
kind of went with that and I was cultivating for
like two years.
Speaker 5 (08:42):
I brought up several shipping containers up.
Speaker 7 (08:44):
There had wow lights.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
Yeah yeah, yeah.
Speaker 5 (08:51):
You know, rocking it out did really good.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
These are before LED days, before or way before LED days.
Speaker 4 (08:57):
I know people who still prefer those over LED lights.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
You know.
Speaker 5 (09:00):
I gotta tell you having and I can get into that, but.
Speaker 6 (09:03):
Please yeah, I could tell you having large scale facilities,
having both side by side in rooms together, mixed not mixed,
all that in between, I can tell you that.
Speaker 5 (09:13):
LEDs are way more consistent.
Speaker 6 (09:16):
I'll tell you that we did see that some genetics
did perform a little bit different.
Speaker 5 (09:22):
Under LED NHPs.
Speaker 6 (09:23):
And I'm not gonna knock on the HPS to say
that some genetics actually did better under the HPS.
Speaker 5 (09:28):
Yes, but I could say.
Speaker 6 (09:30):
That like trichombe expression was always more pronounced under LEDs.
Speaker 7 (09:35):
Wow, okay, but.
Speaker 5 (09:36):
Like definitely like structure wise, sometimes the HPS is did better.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
Do you think that's because of what less light or
less heat or is it just.
Speaker 6 (09:46):
I think has to do more with the heat, because
if you overlay the spectrums together, everything that's existing in
the HPS is existing in the LEDs at least with
LDS and vice versa, you know, but with LEDs there
was more added to it. You know, So the spectrum
is not very filled out with an HBS light, it's
exactly very spiky, whereas with LED it's more filled out,
(10:08):
more consistent, so it's more broader white light to us
what we see. So, you know, I kind of went
on cultivated with the HPS lights for like two and
a half years.
Speaker 5 (10:18):
I met who today is my wife.
Speaker 4 (10:21):
Back then my congratulations, Yeah, three kids, Well, very.
Speaker 5 (10:25):
Nice and we we dated for a while.
Speaker 6 (10:28):
She lived with me, her brother came from Israel to live,
to be with us and to check out America. And
this is after like me now three and a half
four years now, cultivating up there.
Speaker 5 (10:40):
In peace and quiet.
Speaker 7 (10:41):
Yeah, keeping my head low.
Speaker 5 (10:43):
Six thousand dollars a pound. It was a day.
Speaker 4 (10:48):
Wow, that's like a pandemic numbers, you know that?
Speaker 6 (10:52):
Both so yeah, yeah, also both, Yeah, those were the days.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
That's when it was appreciated, like and it was it
wasn't common, and it wasn't easy to do.
Speaker 4 (11:04):
You feel me, And it's still not. I don't want
to say it's easy now.
Speaker 3 (11:06):
I want to you know, it's more accessible for others,
but it was very very rare to have like a situation,
you know, like yourself.
Speaker 5 (11:13):
So that's the knowledge base is a lot bigger today, right.
Speaker 4 (11:17):
Exactly? Yeah, the access yeah yeah absolutely so.
Speaker 6 (11:21):
I uh so he was coming over and I knew that,
like I wasn't going to be able.
Speaker 5 (11:24):
To hide my growth rooms from him, right yeah.
Speaker 6 (11:27):
So I'm like, Okay, obviously this is the brother of
my girlfriend.
Speaker 5 (11:30):
Who I've been with for a long time. Now, you know,
I should be able to trust him. It should be
all good.
Speaker 7 (11:35):
Yeah, So I go pick.
Speaker 6 (11:37):
This guy up now, in Israel, if you didn't go
to the military, you basically go into prison for a
couple of months and that's and then it's like a
strike on your record.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
Because it's a it's at a certain age everyone has
to serve a year.
Speaker 5 (11:50):
Boys girls, no girls, two and a half boys three
and a half.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
Wow, okay, so no thing.
Speaker 7 (11:55):
Yeah, people are very proud to do it.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
Yeah, that's what I hear.
Speaker 6 (11:58):
Yeah, you have the few that just don't want to go,
and you know, he was one of those. And so
like in our culture, it's known that if you like
refuse to go, you're like, uh.
Speaker 5 (12:09):
Revel to authority, You're you're rebellious.
Speaker 6 (12:11):
You got a you know, yes, I was like, okay,
hopefully I know have a problem with this guy. You know,
so I remember, I can visually remember, like I'm picking
this guy from La X.
Speaker 5 (12:19):
You know, I got a nice joint ready to black
on black? How would you to do it? Back in
the and you know, I pick him up and.
Speaker 6 (12:29):
I see him with his hat, you know, kind of
walking kind of like the dumber style like and uh,
you know, so I picked him up, introduced and go
in the car. I spark it up with him, you know,
and later on in the evening, I knew I had
to go, you know, take care of my plans. So
I was like, all right, listen, dude, like you know,
I got to introduce you to some ship. So this
(12:49):
is where I had to break the news to him
and show him what I got. When I opened the doors,
it was like the guy saw heaven right hey, like
that didn't exist that.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
And he's into cannabis.
Speaker 5 (12:58):
He's in yeah, yeah, totally in the cannabis. And to him,
it was like opening the doors to Heaven. I think.
Speaker 6 (13:04):
I said, yeoh, bro, I don't need to sleep in
the room over there. I can just put my sleeping
bag right now. I got whatever you need. So it
went off great in the beginning. Explained to him, listen, dude,
like you know, nobody can find out about the ship.
Speaker 5 (13:17):
You can't talk to anybody about what I got over here.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
Keep it in the family, keep it low, low, you.
Speaker 6 (13:21):
Know, I said, listen, the only way you can get
to this house is if you come off the fire trails.
Because some people sometimes off road and they'll take a
road that leads the road that leads their road, and
they'll come to the front of the house.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
It was wod, So this is really out in the sticks.
Speaker 6 (13:35):
This is like yeah, and you know, the house was
like backed up like kind of like in a V position.
So the house was in the open side of the
V and then like in the backside where it was
closed up, and there was a cliff that's where my
containers were.
Speaker 5 (13:46):
So really you could not see it.
Speaker 6 (13:48):
Yeah, And I told him, I said, listen, if anybody
ever comes up here, because the only way is off
roading to him, Hey, listen, this private property. Can you
please go? I got kids here, you know, do politely,
don't come out with no weed, you know, just do
it clean, sure to shit, you know. Again, everything was
good for a little while and one day, you know.
(14:08):
So the way it happened is one day he comes
up to me and this is and I'm gonna tell you, I'm.
Speaker 5 (14:13):
Gonna jump and I'm gonna come back real quick.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (14:15):
So he comes up to me, He's like, Yo, this
guy I met yesterday wants to talk to you.
Speaker 5 (14:20):
Okay, So what ends up end of this guy.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
I met this other day wants to talk to you.
So this is not like, hey, a friend of mine.
This is a guy I met the other day.
Speaker 7 (14:32):
Okay, okay, all right.
Speaker 6 (14:33):
So what it ended up happening is these guys came
off roading, came to the front of the house, and
he got all excited because they had.
Speaker 5 (14:40):
Off road toys. Now again in Israel, having those things
was like super luxurious to him, so he just got
super excited.
Speaker 7 (14:48):
By super excited, he goes.
Speaker 6 (14:50):
Out surelessuse I had everything on camera, right, So he
went out shirtless. You know, he's got some tats, long hair.
Come on, you don't have to be a genius, right,
And he's got a end up in his ear, and
he goes and starts talking.
Speaker 5 (15:02):
To them, and you know, is talking, you know, just
shooting the.
Speaker 6 (15:05):
Ship se these guys. Later on, come on, you don't
have to be a rocket scientist.
Speaker 5 (15:10):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (15:10):
This guy out here in the middle of the sticks,
you know, got a joint talking weed.
Speaker 5 (15:15):
They were doing drugs to all that. Okay, So what
ended up happening is one day I come home and
you know, I just went this.
Speaker 6 (15:24):
This is before I got the phone call, right, So
I come home and I'm looking for my personals and
I can't find my nice big mason jar of my personals,
and I'm just going.
Speaker 5 (15:35):
Ape shit around the house. You know, when you can't
find your weak you know what it's.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
Like you And it's not like when it's your personals,
all right, when it's your personal jar that you keep
to the side that you've been putting nugs in, that
you know what's in there, and then it's all gone.
That's that's not a no, that's not a good Yeah,
that's not a good sign.
Speaker 5 (15:56):
I just remember myself.
Speaker 6 (15:57):
Oh my god, and I you know, I'm like not
trusting anybody now. I'm like, I'm in this complete fucking
loop for twenty four hours, and I have no need
to smoke down because like I had, all my everything
else was still wet in the room. So like what
am I gonna be go fucking put a blow drive
on that shit? Like no, I have to go buy
some fucking weed. But so the next day happens, So
(16:19):
now I have to go to sleep like this, I'm
going to sleep. I'm fucking tripping out. I don't know
what's going on. And so the next day and this
is when he brought me that phone. When I get
on the phone, this guy goes like, ain't you wondering
where you should is?
Speaker 2 (16:37):
That's fucking like, like what are we talking about right now?
Speaker 6 (16:41):
To make the introduction, these guys went into the house,
found my personal jar, took it to get.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
My attention to just to get your attention.
Speaker 4 (16:52):
Thankfully, they didn't do anything else did it?
Speaker 2 (16:54):
Did it go anywhere else after that?
Speaker 6 (16:56):
So they basically they basically told me like like this
is our hood.
Speaker 5 (17:01):
You know you need protection.
Speaker 7 (17:03):
Blah blah blah, Oh god, here we go.
Speaker 6 (17:05):
Doesn't later, Yeah, hopefully I'm good, but like, uh, you know,
they're like, yeah, you need to come and uh, you know,
meet with us.
Speaker 5 (17:14):
So I go down to the home people parking lot.
Speaker 4 (17:17):
I had one friend crazy.
Speaker 6 (17:19):
I had one friend that shout out to him if
he ever hears this, you know, r.
Speaker 5 (17:25):
M, you know who you are.
Speaker 6 (17:26):
Yeah, he came with me down He's like, I'll roll
with you. And we went down there. No weapons or anything.
We just went down there. These guys met us and
they had their friends like circling and these black status.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
Come on all the scare tactics like movies.
Speaker 7 (17:44):
Yeah back then, like this.
Speaker 5 (17:45):
Is the early days. It's not like today. I'm much
obviously I'm much smarter today, right, but like, yeah, you're
just like.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
That seems to find out they're all like high schoolers
and this is like a theater troop or something else.
Speaker 7 (17:55):
These guys are real.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
These guys are.
Speaker 6 (17:56):
Real, and you know, these guys meet up with me
and of course, you know, like you know hispanic game,
you know, and they're like, you know, hey, listen, you know,
we like what you got over there, you know. And
every thirty seconds, this guy was like picking up the phone,
like every couple of seconds, he was pinking like everything's good,
everything's good, like he was communicating with his people's good,
(18:16):
and he was basically introducing to me that they're the
protection in the area and they like what I got
and that they want to be my partners and take
fifty percent.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
Just a little just a little slice, just a little slice,
I mean right, like yeah, like you know, this isn't.
Speaker 6 (18:39):
And so I'm just like and you know, so I
was a little bit smart and I was just like, hey, listen,
I got partners, you know, like, let me get back
to you.
Speaker 5 (18:46):
Yeah, and they're all right, we're giving you twenty four hours,
you know.
Speaker 6 (18:49):
So we split apart, and you know, I remember following
all their SUVs out the parking lot and it was
a red light. There were actually two red lights, and
they went through them like the presidential caravan, like if
there was any.
Speaker 5 (18:59):
Cop in the corner, like these guys.
Speaker 7 (19:00):
Wow, you know, just fucking went. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (19:03):
You know, I had a car sitting outside my house
the whole night. You know, I was trying to think
what to do. I basically got a van together. I
called one of my boys. I was like, Yo, I
need my strains to come with me. I'm gonna fucking
just pack my ship and bounce, you know. And so
I packed my ship. I juped their car several times,
you know, get to my spot.
Speaker 7 (19:23):
Wow.
Speaker 6 (19:24):
Yeah, driving you know, and then you got plants in
the bag. Yeah, trying to hold on your ship was.
Speaker 5 (19:29):
Just a mess.
Speaker 6 (19:31):
I had a friend that basically, you know, through my
partner with the Grow, he got me a spot to
hide him in, and you know, so I basically relocated
in the one.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
Night, in the middle of the night. Yeah, you packed
up everything in the grow, everything that was board and everything,
my friend, furniture.
Speaker 5 (19:48):
Or the plants.
Speaker 7 (19:49):
Yeah, I was.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
I left everything, everything, everything other than the Yeah, the
plants themselves.
Speaker 5 (19:57):
Taking a couple of lights, you know.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, just started start a new mom.
Speaker 7 (20:01):
Yeah, you know what I mean, to be able to
take the essentials.
Speaker 4 (20:03):
Wow, that's like a movie.
Speaker 7 (20:05):
You know, it is a movie. It was a movie
for me.
Speaker 4 (20:07):
That's how high I am right now because I'm watching
it as you say.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Oh wait, wait, wait, there's more, There's more.
Speaker 6 (20:13):
Okay, So I am living right now right fucking livid.
Speaker 5 (20:19):
You know, it's like a little bit scared, a little
bit livid. This guy burned my spot.
Speaker 7 (20:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (20:23):
So the guy who's now my brother in law burned
my spot.
Speaker 7 (20:26):
Yeah right.
Speaker 5 (20:27):
This guy knows he doesn't want to.
Speaker 2 (20:29):
Because the brother in law walked up to you and
all he said was a guy I met the other
day wants to say something to you. He didn't try
to be like, hey, some ship's going down, man, Like,
let me tell you before you step into this, Like
these guys rough me up, put a gun to me.
You know, he didn't know he was. He wasn't even aware.
Speaker 5 (20:44):
No, he just exchanged numbers. He's thinking, like, I'm gonna
go writing with these guys one day.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
Oh do you think it's because of him though? That
that's why they found out about your grow Like one
hundred percent.
Speaker 6 (20:57):
It would have been anybody different that said, hey, it's private, proper,
like you know, get off.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
Yeah, and like went with the normal exactly. Yeah it
looks look yeah, wow craziness because it.
Speaker 5 (21:08):
Wasn't like it was a new house. This was like
an old house that's been there for a long time.
Speaker 6 (21:12):
Yeah, it just happened to live in because it suited
my boss at the time that I was working, like
doing some sand and gravel stuff like okay grading, this
is when I stepped out of the realm of computers.
Speaker 5 (21:21):
For a minute.
Speaker 7 (21:22):
Gotcha.
Speaker 6 (21:23):
But so I did like sand and gravel and hot
brating some really heavy machinery.
Speaker 5 (21:27):
Okay, cool, yeah, dope, shit, nope, two years of my life.
Yeah cool, two years.
Speaker 6 (21:31):
But so here's so fast forwarding, right, like two weeks
go by. You know, this brother in law knows he
can't face face me, like face to face without me
wanting to knock him out. And uh, there was the
really big fires that were like very famous up in the.
Speaker 5 (21:45):
Canyon, remember this, and all of the canyon over there,
including the house and everything in it.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
So you got out just in time.
Speaker 6 (21:53):
So the brother in law till today, right fucking fifteen
twenty years later, right, Yeah, Like I saved your ass.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
I get the hell out of.
Speaker 7 (22:03):
Get the hell out here.
Speaker 5 (22:05):
Yeah, no, no, so this is since that's hilarious.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
I saved your ass. Get the fucking away from.
Speaker 7 (22:10):
You don't know what I mean.
Speaker 6 (22:11):
That was one of the one of that was my
first introduction to the market of my first shit happening
as a grower. And then of course you go from
house to house there building your black marketing growth and
then the landlord finds out or you get burned or something. Yeah,
so of course I had to jump from maybe ten
(22:32):
fucking houses ever since then until I got into licensed operations.
Speaker 7 (22:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
And the journey, at least with LED's that's a little
less power used, right, it's you know when it comes
to that too, because that's that's really what I saw.
It's like you're running a refrigerator.
Speaker 4 (22:45):
You know, Well, how long has LED has been around?
Speaker 2 (22:48):
So at least what like twenty fourteen?
Speaker 6 (22:50):
Right, No, so I started an LED development in two
thousand and eight.
Speaker 5 (22:55):
I started called Stealth grow led Wow.
Speaker 6 (22:58):
Which advanced nutrients actually used to supply and it was
and I and I will say it was the spider
Man lights, what I call the Red and Blue, the
disco lights. Now, the science was being sold to us
the absorptions in corphilla and b the lights that's more
absorbed in.
Speaker 5 (23:14):
Those colors is blue and red. So I jumped on
that wagon to in the beginning.
Speaker 6 (23:19):
Now again I was already growing a thousand wat HPS
slights and it wasn't And so I went out to
a company China, the only place where I was able
to find like an l ed grow light of like
three hundred some odd walks, and you know that's where.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
Yeah, they weren't really big in the day.
Speaker 6 (23:31):
It was like one or two company out of China
that was making them. And I started out with them,
and I started to put them against HBS lights, and
I saw that it wasn't it. Now, I spent a
lot of years researching the lights, studying every single spectrum,
how it to effects, every every light, every led wattage,
every angle, every color. I know. Way, that's a whole
(23:54):
other rabbit hole, whether it's a it's three hours and
talk with you about lighting, to just.
Speaker 5 (23:59):
Just lug your mind out. So it's short.
Speaker 6 (24:02):
Love to say that in twenty thirteen I realized that
even twenty twelve, I realized that you don't need anything
but just an intensity amount of light.
Speaker 5 (24:13):
So I put ugly yellow LEDs just like an.
Speaker 6 (24:16):
HPS okay right, say spectrum two thousand Calvin for those
of you in the room that no lighting and everything
two thousands, very warm white and that orange light.
Speaker 5 (24:24):
And I just put a lot of wats of it.
Speaker 6 (24:25):
I put like five six hundred wats of LED power
against a thousand watt of that of that warm light.
And it was the best LED grow that anybody has
ever seen in your life.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
So I knew I was onto something just with thus
five to six hundred watts, right, just with us five
to six hundred.
Speaker 6 (24:38):
Yeah, and this is like again mind you like twenty thirteen,
so again very still early yeah, early LED stage.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
So that's when they were the almost the square, big
thick LED fans. The fans built on the top.
Speaker 7 (24:51):
Yeah, but I got rid of the fans.
Speaker 6 (24:53):
So as I developed the light, I realized, as a grower,
the fans are no good. You don't passive cooling you
need to have I mean, you don't want active cooling.
Speaker 5 (24:59):
Yeah that's a cool, yeah, you know.
Speaker 6 (25:02):
And I designed a more full spectrum, something that was
more broad spectrum. So if you have you've ever seen
the vene and flower bulbs that are put it together
in one bulb like the dual ark.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
Bulbs, and I I have not seen those.
Speaker 7 (25:13):
No, they are out there.
Speaker 6 (25:15):
They're very popular in the HPS game and double ended
game that there's like both spectrums put in it. So
it's like vegim bloom putting together to try to achieve
a full spectrum in the HPN.
Speaker 5 (25:25):
That's so that's how.
Speaker 6 (25:26):
HPS UH industries try to create that same effect led
it's there's a lot more.
Speaker 5 (25:32):
Band of spectrums exactly. So it's a lot yeah, so
the plant gets a lot more wavelengths of light.
Speaker 4 (25:38):
There's so much science to this.
Speaker 5 (25:40):
There's a lot help Again, I would have never thought,
just like the thought I'd moved so much pounds every
single month, I would have never thought in my life
that I would learned so much about lights. Like to me,
a light was on off, bro. You know you see
there's a whole rabbit hole down.
Speaker 6 (25:56):
It's like taking the blue pillar or the red pill
and like my ass stick the blue pill and went
down the rabbit.
Speaker 4 (25:59):
Hole style with the rabbit hole gave me some bomb
ass flowers.
Speaker 7 (26:03):
So it did it?
Speaker 5 (26:05):
Did? It developed me a career gave me to produce
jobs for people.
Speaker 6 (26:09):
I felt like I birthed like a whole industry because
I was the first guy to put out full spectrum
melody lighting.
Speaker 4 (26:14):
Let's go.
Speaker 6 (26:16):
It's not like you know, I just like it's not
going to try to monetarily do anything.
Speaker 5 (26:20):
In fact, I barely sell it and you likes today. Ye
still exist in spectr TLD do great. We sell a
lot of lights. It's just my primary focus. It's more
of my production of me to my love end flower.
Speaker 6 (26:32):
It's it's where my love is, so lighting to me
is part of that and it still is his passion
to me.
Speaker 5 (26:37):
But it's uh, it's definitely you were.
Speaker 6 (26:38):
You were the guys in the game in the beginning,
and then obviously a lot of big companies with a
lot of picks that wall game in the game and.
Speaker 5 (26:44):
It's all you know. Of course, not one person in
con service the entire industries.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
Yeah, not at all.
Speaker 4 (26:49):
And it's room for everybody.
Speaker 3 (26:51):
There's millions, billions of people that want to smoke, so
everybody can.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
Well, well, here's one thing. Considering you do have this
vast knowledge from flower, growing, smelling flower and looking at flower.
We're gonna put that to the test here our next segment.
All right, so we're gonna take a break real quick,
but when we get back, we're gonna we're gonna play
blindly baked, all right, baked, all right, guys, we'll be
right back. All right.
Speaker 1 (27:15):
Please subscribe to our weekly newsletter on our website, Cannabis
Talk one on one dot com.
Speaker 4 (27:28):
Welcome back.
Speaker 3 (27:31):
Yeah, yeah, it's the highest of hi and welcome back
to talking with the stars on Cannabis Talk one on
one motherfucking radio. Let's go what I mean, check it out.
This is one of my favorite parts of the show.
And I know you have a very well tested palette,
so this.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
Is excited, very fun for you.
Speaker 3 (27:46):
And it's the first time we're using glass. Shout out
here for glass. We got some very dope custom pieces
of the Hindey glass, the mushroom glass, what is that?
Bubbles like bubbles bubbles in the bubbler, and we got
some z in the bubbler.
Speaker 2 (27:59):
And the big Dog.
Speaker 7 (28:00):
Don don't forget.
Speaker 4 (28:01):
Yeah, I'll be hitting that all episode. Shit gone crazy.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
So if you check it out in front of you,
you got three bowls already packed.
Speaker 4 (28:08):
You know, we did it for you.
Speaker 3 (28:09):
And then we got the nugs in front that are
in the bowl. So you're able to smell all the nugs.
You can crack them open, et cetera, and Chuck you
is gonna tell you the three names, three brands, and
you're gonna mix them up.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
So I know that you brought a lot of flavors
for us today, because once again eight one eights flowers are.
Speaker 3 (28:27):
Off the gas, very distinct to s. That's why we
had to switch it up. We switched and use all
eight one eight flower.
Speaker 4 (28:33):
But everything smells so good and different. Yeah, we knew
you get it off rick.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
All right, So there's three strains in front of you.
One of them is eight one eight, all right. One
of them is eight one eight. Now I'm gonna give
you all the strain names, so you'll have all the
strain names. It's your choice to go ahead. You can
crack those nugs that are in front of the rigs.
You can smell them, then you can hit the rigs
and then you can pinpoint where you want to drop.
Those names sound good, all right, So in no order,
(28:59):
in no order what soever, we got your eight one
eight garlicane. All right, We've got gumbos fly trap. Okay, okay,
and then we've got black tie CBDs forbidden fruit. Now
black tie CBD is a it's a hemp flower that
(29:19):
split that's sprayed with point zero nine percent delta nine.
All right, okay, so it's still got good turfs. It's
still you know, gonna smell like very good. They've loved it,
and I I do actually smoke it on a pretty
regular basis. It's it's really good flower facts. He does,
just to switch it up. Those are your three So
if you want to, if you want to jump into
(29:40):
so by number one, two, and three. Number one is
the bubble, number two is the mushroom, and number three
is the Hennessy rig. Okay, all right, so you can
go ahead and crack those nugs and you can smell them.
Let us know how they smell. What you're thinking already
off that if you want, because listen, in my opinion,
we've got a pro in front of us right now.
(30:00):
So I got a pro. That's why we had to
switch this up. Throw two strains that he's never seen
before and see what's going on.
Speaker 6 (30:07):
Yeah, and that's the thing, right, like my weed is obvious,
it's obvious.
Speaker 2 (30:10):
I had to look through your bags to make sure
I picked one of your strains that kind of look
like because it's distinct, very sticky, so you already know.
Speaker 5 (30:23):
For sure eliminated.
Speaker 2 (30:26):
All right, So he's gonna he's gonna hit number three.
Speaker 8 (30:28):
Right, we already know if we would have put all
three out there, boom.
Speaker 6 (30:31):
Boom boom and uh so I tell everybody don't judge
me to be a gresshopper because I haven't done bus.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
Oh no, you're good, you're good. Take it. Take a
small hit. You don't have to rip the whole ball.
Speaker 6 (30:44):
Put a shout out to my boy and my partner.
It's like, yo, bro, now I gotta hit the bunks.
Where are you at?
Speaker 2 (30:51):
We'll pack one over here too.
Speaker 4 (30:53):
Out the hamy.
Speaker 5 (30:55):
I definitely cat that. It's so sticky.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
It's super sticky. Yeah, every flower that we have down
there is super sticky.
Speaker 7 (31:02):
Right now, that's definitely all right.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
So he's definitely thinking that number three is the garlic
cane right now here. You can break us someone.
Speaker 4 (31:12):
He definitely all right.
Speaker 2 (31:15):
So he's he's smelling. So he was, he was, he was.
He's still on that number three, so you're going to
number two. He loves it. He knows it, all right.
So this is number two. This is on the mushroom rig.
We've got it packed. He's cracking open and nug giving
it a smell. I'm telling you, he's.
Speaker 4 (31:34):
Pro coming here.
Speaker 2 (31:37):
How we feeling, How are we feeling? On the smell
of that one? That's number two, just smells like that gumbo.
The smell like the gumbo. Okay, all right? Was the
other one is black tie CBD forbidden fruit?
Speaker 5 (31:52):
Oh, this is more of that. Actually, this is the
forbidden fruit smell. Yeah, this is I'm gonna say, the
black tie forbidden fruit.
Speaker 2 (31:58):
You want to you want to take a hit of it,
just in case.
Speaker 7 (32:01):
Okay, let me.
Speaker 5 (32:07):
Before I find that.
Speaker 2 (32:09):
He's a smart man. He's a smart man. You can
change everything at the end too, you know, we'll give
you a final answer kind of thing, and then you
can change everything up if you wanted to. We've had
people actually have everything right off. It's switch it up
at the edd. A couple of people have done that.
Oh and mind you, just to give you a background
on the game, we've had probably close to twenty guests
on the show. Okay, we've done flower, we've done vapes,
(32:33):
we've done joints, we've done refused, confused pre rolls and
stuff like that, and there's only been about two people
that have gotten all three correct.
Speaker 4 (32:43):
And two is including U.
Speaker 2 (32:45):
Two is including myself. Yes, just recently though, what was
what was our guest name? Oh yeah, we had we
had gumbo on and she got every single one of them.
Speaker 4 (32:54):
Right.
Speaker 5 (32:55):
I think the mushroom is the is the BlackBerry?
Speaker 7 (32:57):
All right?
Speaker 2 (32:58):
So you think that the mushroom is the uh the
forbidden fruit? Is that the one you're thinking about?
Speaker 7 (33:03):
Or is it?
Speaker 2 (33:03):
Because we got we've got the gumbo fly trap and
then we've got the black dice, black tie CBD forbidden.
Speaker 7 (33:09):
Fruit, so the forbidden fruit is okay?
Speaker 2 (33:12):
So you think that number two is the forbidden fruit.
Speaker 7 (33:14):
Right, okay?
Speaker 5 (33:15):
And I think that number one is the U.
Speaker 2 (33:17):
And you don't even want to hit them.
Speaker 7 (33:18):
You're good, I'm gonna hit him.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
Oh yeah, okay, cool, I just want to pieces too, Yeah,
shout out, humpher cow.
Speaker 7 (33:26):
And then remember the stay closer to the mic as well.
Speaker 5 (33:30):
Thank you?
Speaker 2 (33:35):
How's it taste? And how's it taste? And number two?
Speaker 6 (33:42):
I think I'm okay with that answer, Okay, I think that.
Speaker 7 (33:48):
Yeah, I think I think I got.
Speaker 2 (33:50):
It, okay, all right, he's he's locking in. So if
that's the forbidden Fruit, then the last one is going
to be the gumbo fly Trap. So we'll we'll see
if you if you think you agree with that, I'm
gonna take a hit at this DOSC boot after Marty's
done for show that dope. Yeah, this is actually this
is one of my favorite rigs in my opinion, that
Hemperco has ever come out with. I just think it's
(34:11):
kind of cool because it looks like a boot. But
of course it's also from like the movie beer Fest.
If you guys have ever seen.
Speaker 4 (34:17):
That is I'm a sneaker, even though it's not as
what you get me?
Speaker 2 (34:21):
Yeah, this one and what would he say?
Speaker 3 (34:23):
The other one was the Yo the Chinese the Chinese takeout? Yeah,
if you wanna, if you wanna trade is all of.
Speaker 2 (34:30):
We're talking about Trade night. So that HiT's nice, all right?
Still feeling like that's the gumbo fly trap?
Speaker 7 (34:38):
Yeah yeah, all right.
Speaker 2 (34:40):
So final answer, just to confirm and confirm with you guys.
All right, here we go. So you're thinking that number
one is what you just set down is you're thinking
it's the gumbo fly trap number two with the mushroom
in the middle, you're thinking that's the black tie CBD
forbidden fruit. And then number three, which is the Hennessy ring,
you're thinking is your eight one eight garlic cane? All right,
(35:03):
here we go, guys. Are you ready? He got all
of them correct?
Speaker 4 (35:09):
Boom.
Speaker 2 (35:10):
See this is how you do with people. This is
how you do it. You take, you take, you smell
the nugs, you taste it, and then you're confident with it.
Speaker 7 (35:20):
That's how you do it.
Speaker 2 (35:22):
Cheers to you, this is this is this is to him.
Speaker 8 (35:24):
Congratulations my friend time tree. Well, while everybody's enjoying these bulls,
we did try to trick him, you know, but it
didn't work.
Speaker 7 (35:40):
You'll listen to.
Speaker 2 (35:42):
When you brought me. You brought us these strains right here,
and I brought the bags to you because I just
wanted to make sure that I knew the strains corresponded
correctly when I when I was gonna put him in
front of you, and you went through the bags, smelled
them and then told them. Then one of them. So
I was like, I can't, I can't just give you
these bags. It's back again, and like, you know, do
something like that. Yeah, so we had to throw a
(36:03):
little curb on at you. But how did the other
flowers hit? What'd you think they.
Speaker 5 (36:06):
Actually getting good? Yeah, I was actually surprised about the
one that you said that was little.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
Yeah, the black tie CBD.
Speaker 4 (36:12):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's really well grown flower.
Speaker 2 (36:15):
Yeah, and they come out with new strains every month,
which is which is pretty chill. Yeah, they don't just
have like one or two like, it's like new strains
every month. And this one, Forbidden Fruit, it's a little
bit darker flower. I'm noticing it's got a lot more
purple let as well.
Speaker 5 (36:29):
Yeah. Yeah, and that's what I that's where I got.
Speaker 4 (36:31):
That was the big givea. Yeah, that was a game
in the look was the big.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
Giveaway for that's definitely yeah. Yeah, hell yeah, congratulations. Appreciate
you being on Blindly Baits. We'll take a quick break
and we'll be right back, guys.
Speaker 1 (36:44):
Yeah yeah, make sure you like follow and subscribe to
Cannabis Talk one on one.
Speaker 4 (36:48):
Now now back to the number one the planet.
Speaker 1 (36:58):
You know what.
Speaker 5 (37:01):
The number one?
Speaker 2 (37:05):
Guys, We are back and I know that you're working
on something that's pretty pretty dope. Can you can you
tell us a little.
Speaker 7 (37:13):
Bit about it.
Speaker 5 (37:13):
Yeah, definitely, so one of the news. So you know,
we like the three we're making a book, right, producer,
But we have several brands that we make as well,
up the eight one eight premium sat as long where
we sell all of our premium exotics. Those are like
all of our high end stuff, that.
Speaker 2 (37:28):
Group of stuff.
Speaker 6 (37:30):
But as a grower, right, you know, as somebody who's
got fashioned for the plant, you know, I'm always in
my grower and I'm looking at my plants, and there's
always that sexy top plant.
Speaker 2 (37:40):
You know, I know exactly what you're talking about.
Speaker 5 (37:42):
Like, I want to just like that flood right now.
Speaker 7 (37:44):
I just want to, like.
Speaker 2 (37:46):
I've actually done that before when whenever, whenever I grew,
I would save those to the end, right, So I
would like trim those, put them to the side, and
then like everything that was nugs, i'd put in the
glass jars and stuff like that, but i'd have a
separate glass jar that was big enough to hold those
in them because I never wanted to trumb. They look
so beautiful.
Speaker 7 (38:06):
Yeah, yeah, not at all, not at all.
Speaker 5 (38:08):
That's it's it's that's you.
Speaker 2 (38:10):
Know, just I'm telling you it's beautiful. It's a beautiful thing.
Speaker 5 (38:15):
That's exactly what I'm trying to say.
Speaker 6 (38:16):
And so what I wanted to do was bring that
out to the people as well that bring that love.
So I want to take the top portion of the plant.
So I created a sub brands called Tops that it's
going to basically be only the top portion of the
best of the plants.
Speaker 5 (38:31):
So obviously it's going to be limited, right.
Speaker 6 (38:33):
Yeah, probably an online item only on our site. You know,
it'll come soon, It'll be out there, we'll market it
and we'll come back introduce the brand with you guys. Yeah,
please please, I'll bring you, guys your own personal let's
go be like this beautiful three D holographic image in
the front.
Speaker 5 (38:51):
Yeah, a cognac bottle, something for you to hold on
to it.
Speaker 7 (38:54):
It's so dope, you know, with that.
Speaker 6 (38:56):
Whole top inside and a beautiful jar with a little
drawer with a grinder and.
Speaker 5 (39:01):
Papers and everything that you know to break it down
and smoke it.
Speaker 6 (39:04):
So something really see and cool is one of the
things that I'm working on as the group. We're also
working on our incubator. You know, we have some some
more spots left. We have people that want to bring
their brands, whether it's from out of state or people
that are not they can come and grab an office
from us and then basically build their own brand using
our licensing and using our distro where they get to
have like a whole license company at their service, you know.
Speaker 2 (39:26):
And where's that? Where's that located in Van and Van eykin.
Speaker 6 (39:29):
Of a very beautiful high end luxury spot. It's where
we do all of our B to B work. So
we have like five hundred buyers that come through, you know,
every day. You have a rotation of people that come.
We have beautiful showrooms where show our bulk pounds and
then people get to see what they want, they get
their own privacy spot, they come, they do their transactions,
you know.
Speaker 5 (39:48):
So it's all all really beautiful kind of the dope spot.
Speaker 7 (39:54):
You guys get a chance cogued out definitely.
Speaker 2 (39:56):
Yeah, that's like all all in one, you know. Yeah,
like so many, so many people coming through there that
you want to meet, so many people and it.
Speaker 5 (40:03):
Keeps quality people there.
Speaker 2 (40:05):
Yeah. Yeah, people, but you put your packing over there.
Speaker 6 (40:08):
Right now, I'm packing up the garlic cane into a
swisshirt because that's just the way I love the smoke.
Speaker 3 (40:13):
Well, I wanted to ask, do you have like a
release date in mind or time in mind for the
top sprant?
Speaker 5 (40:20):
So we're looking probably at July July.
Speaker 2 (40:24):
Well that's great, Yeah, that's great.
Speaker 6 (40:27):
I'm gonna show you guys prototypes. You guys will be
one of the ones to get prototyped.
Speaker 4 (40:31):
Yes, please, I'm gonna put it next week.
Speaker 3 (40:33):
Anyway, I'm gonna come check out the growing Come on
over to I'm gonna shoot gas from the grow house.
It's gonna be a eight one eight freestyle is gonna
be fire.
Speaker 2 (40:41):
Oh, I definitely need to be there that I've been
meaning to go to one of these. Marty has been
putting these out. This is your what like fourth fifth.
Speaker 4 (40:47):
Probably be like my fifth, I believe I have hella tucked.
Speaker 2 (40:50):
Check them out because it's just you get.
Speaker 3 (40:53):
To sit in the grow room and smell all the flavors.
And I've been in some good grows. Like shout out
everybody out there.
Speaker 2 (40:59):
When when it comes to the first strings that you're
gonna be running with tops, is that something that you're
you're keeping under wraps or is it like I'm going to.
Speaker 7 (41:07):
Keep that under all right?
Speaker 6 (41:08):
Okay, definitely these that are out there, the ones that
are really.
Speaker 2 (41:12):
Desirable, okay, lovely, and I'm.
Speaker 5 (41:13):
Definitely gonna make gas face one of them.
Speaker 2 (41:15):
Hey, please please make gas face.
Speaker 4 (41:18):
One I'm picturing.
Speaker 3 (41:19):
I'm picturing like Beauty and the Beast, you know, And
that's what I'm picturing.
Speaker 5 (41:24):
Exactly, Yes, exactly.
Speaker 4 (41:25):
Yeah, that's what I see.
Speaker 2 (41:27):
It's like in a glass like when you when you
were explaining it to me, It's like I kind of
want that to set up on my mantle for a minute,
you know what I mean, like image of oh yeah,
because it's gonna be on the front.
Speaker 5 (41:37):
Yeah, and it's gonna be a very decorative box, so
just like some people have to keep its empty inside.
So it's like that furniture.
Speaker 7 (41:44):
That's what I want to be, just like that.
Speaker 2 (41:46):
Oh that's money. I cannot wait.
Speaker 4 (41:49):
Rocket Legs. Yeah, I'm excited for that.
Speaker 7 (41:51):
Bro.
Speaker 3 (41:51):
I need to put that on my studio desk and
should to shoot a video of me just pulling the
glass you saw snipping off a little.
Speaker 4 (41:57):
Bit, yeah about like fire. Yeah, I like that.
Speaker 2 (42:03):
Have you guys seen those people that do monzai with cannabis?
Have you seen that?
Speaker 4 (42:08):
I have seen a bonzai cannabis plant.
Speaker 3 (42:10):
Yeah, They're like they like rubber banded up to like
this ship to make a grow a certain way.
Speaker 2 (42:15):
Yeah, so instead of letting it go grow all the
way up, they just, like what Marty just said, they
do some type of you know, low stress to like
make sure that it stays this small. And then they
make the you know, I've seen them make the like
the stalk wind up like in a spiral. I've seen
them just do like wacky show. You've never seen that, man.
Speaker 3 (42:36):
I got to show you, Yeah, little scenes under it
and whatnot, like a little furniture or something that they
can seem like it's huge plant.
Speaker 2 (42:46):
Yeah. So so here's my one question as a grower.
Because you've seen all the strains come in and out,
the fads and everything like that, we are in that
Gelato Skittles kind of era. Is still you know, it's
still prevalent. Are we ever gonna get back to and
I'm asking about the gases of course the ogs. Are
we ever going to get back to that old school
(43:07):
just rounded off Indica flower? Is it ever gonna come back?
And were almost there?
Speaker 5 (43:13):
You know what I hear through my ears?
Speaker 4 (43:14):
What do you hear?
Speaker 5 (43:15):
I hear music?
Speaker 2 (43:16):
You hear music.
Speaker 5 (43:17):
That's what you're saying to me, right, So yeah, we're
definitely gonna be bringing some really good.
Speaker 7 (43:22):
Okay, cool, all right.
Speaker 5 (43:23):
One of my favorites the Larry O. G. Personally, it's
one of my first trains, LARRYO G. Let's Go, one
of my favorites. Okay, that definitely brings some OG's. Like.
Speaker 6 (43:31):
So, one of the adventures that I had in my
life was the Tikun Alama, which was that Israeli company
that was the first company, the first cannabis company in
the world, I believe or not. So in two thousand
they got the they got their license. Wow, it was
the first company that was allowed to produce weed on
a large scale for patients, you know, like real medicine.
Speaker 7 (43:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (43:48):
Now, these guys, to really summarize this is they took
like three hundred strains. They got down to where seven
of them were super effective for a lot of ailments.
And those strains ended up being like land race strains
that have very little breeding to them. So as a grower, right,
who grew California style, Right, I grew breeding my strains
for gas, for for frostiness.
Speaker 5 (44:10):
And for yield.
Speaker 7 (44:11):
Right, that's what we wanted.
Speaker 5 (44:14):
We didn't care about how it made you feel, you know,
it wasn't about that.
Speaker 6 (44:18):
So what I found is those land gray strains which
you and I would like not even pick up these
strains to smoke.
Speaker 5 (44:24):
You like would look at them and be.
Speaker 6 (44:25):
Like, I don't even Yeah, but I can tell you
this as a guy who's tried them in different forms
to invape and teachers and smoking them.
Speaker 5 (44:34):
They were beyond effective.
Speaker 6 (44:36):
And the feeling that you got on your body was
much more effective in a medicinal way.
Speaker 5 (44:41):
In a healing way. Interesting that more than any of
the strains that out there.
Speaker 6 (44:45):
So like every time I hear about strains that are
just crossed with more cross and more cross and more cross,
all I just hear is more and it's just more.
Speaker 5 (44:53):
Dilution is basically THC you know what.
Speaker 6 (44:59):
Whatever the dominant turpen of that strain is, and really
nothing else.
Speaker 7 (45:04):
Yeah, there, the breeding has.
Speaker 5 (45:06):
Gone so much, there's very little of all the other
I never knew that.
Speaker 6 (45:09):
Einoids and so like I personally like the original the
nineties stuff that I was, Yeah, like the original ogs
old stuff.
Speaker 5 (45:17):
It's more pure more that's more my style.
Speaker 6 (45:20):
But from a genetic standpoint, like I don't get super
excited when all these drops come.
Speaker 5 (45:25):
You know, although you know some strains they do. They
look great. I'm not saying they look great.
Speaker 4 (45:30):
They're smell amazing, amazing.
Speaker 5 (45:32):
But the efficacy or what the high that I get.
Speaker 6 (45:36):
I get much more highs out of the original ogs
that we haven't touched, that we haven't reread, that we
just kept.
Speaker 5 (45:40):
Them on ice yea.
Speaker 3 (45:41):
And I feel like ogs do pack a punch too though,
Oh like the slack.
Speaker 2 (45:45):
They do what I miss? I miss a good Skywalker.
Speaker 4 (45:49):
Couch sets you down or yeah.
Speaker 2 (45:51):
Like that was like twenty and fifteen. I think two
thousand maybe sixteen was when like Skywalker was like super proval.
Speaker 4 (45:59):
You'd be walking on this guy on.
Speaker 2 (46:01):
And like everyone had an OG, so everyone put a
name to an OG. There's like Obama Og, Yoda og.
Speaker 7 (46:06):
Like yeah, there was like so many, so many variations.
Speaker 5 (46:09):
You're like, okay, we'll give me some of the original shows.
Speaker 7 (46:11):
Yeah, hopefully there's.
Speaker 6 (46:11):
A breeder out there that you know, I'm not saying
all breeders do you know, some beers probably do different things.
But if there's a breeder that can go out there
and say, okay, let me pump out these minor connabinoids.
Speaker 5 (46:22):
Yeah, when I breed these plants.
Speaker 7 (46:24):
Yeah, and not just care about th HC exactly.
Speaker 5 (46:27):
You know that I think would be a great thing.
Speaker 6 (46:29):
I'd love to be the first farm to buy to
buy that guy's Yeah.
Speaker 4 (46:33):
