Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey guys, and welcome back to another week of Gia Diaries.
This week, I guess I'm going to talk about some
next Gen gossip. As you all know, I am on
the show next Gen NYC, or if some of you
don't know, I am on a new Bravo show called
Next Gen NYC, and there's been some talk about a
Next Gen LA. I think this is I think we

(00:26):
have to give this to Bravo's marketing team, which is
why our show was named next Gen NYC, so that
they can franchise this show to other cities. So there
are some Bravo kids that are living in LA Or
that go back and forth from LA to New York.

(00:47):
So I think that we definitely will do a Next
Gen LA if everything goes well with Next Gen NYC.
We have been getting some really amazing feedback about Next
Gen NYC. So Adrian Maloof and Cynthia Bailey's kids have
been approached.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
To do a new Bravo show.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
I'm assuming it would be something like a Next Gen
LA because both of their kids are based in LA
Or in.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
The California area.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
So in that interview, I think they pretty much just said,
you know, it's up to their kids whatever they choose
to do. And I think that's a lot of the Housewives'
perspective on it. As a Housewife kid or a Bravo kid,
you know what you're getting yourself into. We honestly have
had the example of looking up to our parents and

(01:41):
watching what they went through on Bravo and how their
experience was through the Real Housewives. So by looking at that,
it is up to us on whether or not we
would want to go even further into the public eye
and start something on our own. So I'm excited to

(02:01):
see this, and I wonder what they choose to do.
I feel like Bravo overall right now is really trying
to target a younger demographic, which is why they rebooted
New York to younger women. And even though I don't
think that when as planned for them, everyone wants their

(02:22):
OG's back. I feel like you can't take the ogs
out of the Real Housewives, but you can be more
creative to brainstorm more shows and bring in a younger demographic.
So Next Gen aired a couple weeks ago. We're already
halfway through the season, which is crazy, and I honestly

(02:46):
feel like, if anything, I have just been talked about
obviously a little more on all social media platforms. But
I'm really happy with my feedback YU and I think
that's something that anyone would be nervous for. Even though

(03:06):
I have been on The Real Housewives in New Jersey
under my mom's shadow for a very long time and
just with my family. Now this is something that I'm
doing on my own, and I think everybody realizes that
I'm a writer, die, I'm very loyal, and I'm for

(03:27):
sure a girl's girl. I'm excited for you guys to
see a little more about me as the season progresses.
I know they portrayed that I always thought going into
the city was such a hassle, and.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
I guess.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
You could say I'm not thrilled about that, but I
also get it.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
They had to show that I was still living in
New Jersey.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
But I'm in the city four times week for work,
whether it's recording my podcast, doing my Amazon Lives, going
to events, or just other work things. So no matter
what I'm going into the city, I'm doing what I
need to do.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
I'm showing up for work.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
I'm a hustler, and I just don't like that people
didn't really get to see that as much on Next Gen,
So I hope you guys see that just within what
I post on social media, when I do my day
in my life's and what I show you guys on

(04:38):
social media. But hopefully next season that will change. The
back and forth of the city definitely is a lot.
There's days where I get in in forty five minutes,
or there's days where it takes me two hours to
get in and two hours to get home, depending on
the traffic, And I think that's the battle that everyone

(04:59):
deals with when commuting from somewhere other than New York.
I really have been thinking about it these past couple weeks,
moving closer to the city, and I'm excited for this
next chapter and I can't wait for you guys to come.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Along with me.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
I have been watching Next Gen myc I know my
mom never really watched.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
The Real Housewives until recently.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
But I like to critique and criticize myself, just even
though I have been doing.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
This for so long.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
You always have pointers about yourself and you are your
biggest critic, So I always like to watch and just
see how I want to improve or what I want
to do differently in the future. So I always do
like to watch and give my self feedback to a

(05:57):
lot of people always ask me this, how my career
has changed since being on Next Gen NYC, And my
career was actually building and growing as Next Gen MC
was starting and when we were filming last summer, so
it's been pretty stagnant up until obviously now that the
show has aired, and now I would say I'm definitely

(06:20):
getting invited to more events, more brand partnerships are coming in.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
It's all very positive. So it's been fun.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
But that's also why I love to watch myself on
Next Gen, because I would never want myself to look
a certain way on television, and I know that can
happen very easily and that happens to a lot of people.
But I guess just because my family has been in
the public eye for so long, I want to do

(06:53):
my very best to just always show my best self,
which is why I was a little upset that you
guys didn't get to see as much of my work
life on Next Gen. That I would have liked you
guys too, because my work life is everything. I grind,

(07:13):
I hustle, I really do work hard. So if we
get to season two on next Gen. I can't wait
to show you guys more of that. I've been in
the public eye for a long time, so my circle has.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Pretty much stayed the same.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
I have my friends from sixth grade, I have my
friends from when I started dating Christian.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
My friend group is really close and no matter.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
What, I gravitate towards hanging out with them all the time.
Obviously you see people at events and going out, but
they're just the people you say hi to when you're
out and have around when you're at these events, and
it's always nice to know people. But my group is

(08:03):
pretty close and I like it that way. I like
to keep my circle tight. So now that Bravo is
exploring next gens elsewhere like LA, if they ever asked
me to go out there to make a cameo, I
totally would. But I definitely wouldn't go to LA.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
I like being home in.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
Jersey, But like I said, I am going to be
making a move soon, so I think NYC suits me best.
So I hope everyone had an amazing Fourth of July.

(08:46):
I honestly loved the way my Fourth of July played out.
I went down on Thursday night and I ended up
going out with my girlfriends. Then on Friday. So our
landlord owns my house and the house next door, so
our neighbors earlier on in the summer had asked us,

(09:10):
is it okay if we put a big water slide
in our front lawns and host a Fourth of July party?
So they had to ask us because the water slide
went into our front lawn. So after going out on Thursday,
I woke up to I want to say, thirty foot

(09:32):
water slide. Maybe it was bigger outside my window.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
Nine am.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
I'm looking at my window and I see this huge
water slide in my front lawn. Music is blasting at
nine am, and if I'm too tired or maybe a
little hungover, I'll sit in my bed and just say no, no, no.
So that's exactly what happened on Friday morning because they
were blasting music and a big blow up slide was

(09:59):
in our front lawn. And so then everyone started getting ready.
We were all in bathing suits, and we kind of
just had like a front yard party. They did the invites,
so it was nice because everyone who came was mainly
in their front lawn. I was so nervous about people
going in and out of our house and thank god,

(10:22):
it was mainly just our friends who were going in
and out of the house, and it really wasn't as
crazy as I thought it was going to be, but
it was perfect. Then we got ready for Parker House.
We went to Parker House on Friday, Yes we did. Yeah,
we went to Parker House on Friday. And then we

(10:44):
ended the night at DJs, which just never should happen
after a day of drinking, but it was a lot
of It was a lot of fun. So the bender
ended on Saturday, but I still had such an amazing weekend.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
Then it went from bender to wholesome.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
My roommate from college got engaged and it was so amazing.
The little celebration afterwards was so nice, and it was
just so exciting to see her getting engaged and she's
wanted this forever. In college, she would talk about just

(11:29):
wanting to be married and having babies, and it's just
so crazy that now I'm at this stage in my
life where my friends are getting engaged and this is
all happening.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Her ring is absolutely stunning.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
I posted about it on Instagram, so yeah, my Instagram
post actually kind of shows my entire weekend. So I
went hard and then it turned wholesome. Then on Sunday,
I went by Christian Shorehouse and we just had a
relaxing day at.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
The beach, and then.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
We went to the boardwalk and played some games with
his family, had a nice Sunday dinner. We also went
and played mini golf. So Sunday was amazing, Literally everything
I could have asked for and more. And then my
cousins came down on Sunday night and we had a

(12:21):
beautiful beach day to end the weekend on Monday because
we all had off of work, and we got some dinner,
went shopping, and I got back last night. So it
was such an amazing weekend. It was perfect, the best
of both worlds. I'm sure most of you saw that

(12:42):
I posted a little video on July fourth in hopes
of Trump pardoning my father. I did not intend to
post it on the fourth of July. That was just
not my intention at all. I have so much respect
for my country and I was not trying to show

(13:06):
any privilege or entitlement. I had shipped out those letters
on Thursday, right before I went down the shore, and
I was making the video for him on Thursday night,
and I wrote out what I was going to say.
So Friday morning, before the craziness of the weekend, I

(13:28):
just I just finished the video and I posted it,
and then I realized, oh my god. But at that
point the video had gotten a lot of traction. I
was not trying to do anything strategic. I woke up
knew I had to do something for my dad, and
that was the only thing on my mind was my dad.

(13:50):
So I posted it. There was no motive behind anything.
I wasn't strategically trying to post that video on the
fourth of July. I really just wanted my dad to
feel loved and feel loved by me, and know that
I always am supporting him and pushing for him and

(14:10):
hoping for his return back home. The video was ready,
I edited it on Thursday, and I didn't want to
disappoint my dad. I didn't want him to think that
I forgot about the video and that I was just
going to go about my weekend and not post it.
So I woke up in the morning and I posted

(14:32):
the video. That was my first thought. Then after going downstairs,
coming back upstairs seeing the comments, I felt horrible. But
when I woke up in the morning, my first thought
was my dad. After seeing what happened with the Chrisly family,

(14:55):
it really inspired my family. I've also been working every
single day this summer. My schedule has been crazy, and
I'm so grateful for that. But whenever I have downtime
to do videos and update you guys on my life,
I just post it.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
And I really do apologize.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
I did not realize that I posted it on the
fourth of July, and once the comment started flooding, I
had realized obviously, Okay, I probably should not have posted
this today. Maybe I should have waited a day. As
I said in the video, I really just wanted to
use my platform to bring awareness to my father's case.

(15:41):
I do not think that I am privileged. I have
immense respect for my country, and this is why when
you have a platform like this, you do need to
be very cautious of when you post and what you post. Because, guys,
my intentions were all with love and no ill intent

(16:07):
at all, but the public viewed it a different way.
So the video was ready, there was no ill intent,
and I just posted it. So I hope that you
all can go back to that video now and just
see it in a different way. Everyone deserves a second chance.
