more understood by them, um put them in better position
to take advantage of you know, themselves, their likeness, and
you know their potential overall. So that's pretty much why

with me in the locker room, me talking, talking my
head off about little issues and hearing other guys things.
So I figured this would be a good way to
help that that situation. And that's gonna be like a

it was like falls up there, like if you wasn't grinding,

a little bit in college. But that's the type of
mentality it takes you win championships. And I learned that
type of mentality in high school. Like, okay, ain't on
the same page, we ain't getting shipped done exactly, and
and a lot of high schools ain't like that. Man.
We I feel like my my high school wasn't like that.
But when my group came through there, we was like that.
You know, I'm saying, that's why we win win the championships.

That's why we went to the playoffs, know what I'm saying,
and stuff like that. So how do you get the

had an older cousin. He used to play running back,
So I used to be at my grandma house all

senior year, like you said, you had a special group
of players. Y'all made the playoffs and everything. We had
special group players. My senior year, UM Hilly touted. Four
guys got scholarships to Oregon. UM and it was the

first time like four players from one high school I
think committed in the same year to one D one university.
So you know, me being hurt bro busting my knee
of my senior year, Uh, they gave me the opportunity
to come up there and walk on with my dudes
with my with my boys and ship. That's what I did.
Oh yeah, I went up there in one year. Like, yo,

I ain't got time to be paying for no school.
I gotta get it right now, right now, right now.
So man, the first year I went in there, my
objective was, like you know what I'm saying, be better
than everybody on scholarship. I figured that's the first way
to catch some attention if I'm better than him, and
you know, on scholarship, so somebody's gonna be looking at
me and then shoot after a year. Man, by the
end of that year, coming into the next spring, bro,

I was starting that corner. Yeah. Yeah, to give me
my scholarship, had to them them uh them uniforms though, Oregon.
They had to have something to do what you want
to go there? Oh yeah that too. But really the
uniforms came kind of like right before I got there,

like that, the whole uniform thing. They were still kind
of like because that happened kind of while we was
in school exactly. Yeah. Yeah, they had like they had
some new union form, but they wasn't like they only
had one uniform. It was new. It was one like
all that ship don't do out the school. It's like, okay, shoot,
when I was in there for four years, we had

two different pairs of new uniforms, so within them two pairs,
it was rereas in a combination. So right, yeah, yeah,
the uniforms was crazy, man, it was cooking. By far.
I got the Unis in college. They ain't by far
got the UNI ship under control. What I'm saying, got
a lot of you to get that, natty though this

year you're gonna do that. But we gotta shot this
year though, because I've done so, got the Unis on lockdown.
I got that. Hey, it's stupid, all right, So look
look you you ground in high school. You don't get

round of Cleveland and described that feeling man, after we
played football for free for so many years, right and

I don't know what made me just kind of like
in practice and ship just lacked off a little bit
because it's because we go so long, Bro, I'm telling
because we we played twenty years to get here and
then you get here. It's like I'm here now. I'm
telling you. I did the same thing, Bro, I kind
of come started. I just ain't as serious as I
was my senior year and in college. I just kind

of get off that gas a little bit because you're

how good I can be. Like once that game starts

career a little bit more um, functional, more controlled by them,
more understood by them, um put them in better position
to take advantage of you know, themselves, their likeness, and
you know their potential overall. So that's pretty much why

I started. You know, I've had my hitcups, you know,
with me in the locker room, me talking, talking my
head off about little issues and hearing other guys things.
So I figured this would be a good way to
help that that situation. And that's gonna be like a
full service little deal for them guys. Right, Just everything

So that's dope. Man. What I'm saying something you already

know about get back at the same time, you're gonna
make some paper doing it, man. So that's that's a

pro career has been. I was like under the radar.
I was undersize I got heard my senior year, so,
you know, being the guy or being one of the
major figures in high school, I know I wasn't. So
I was really on my grind the whole time. Man.

You know, it was a good place to be at
Della sal because the work ethic was so strong. Man,
it was like falls up there, like if you wasn't grinding,
you wasn't on the same mission as the other fifty
players on the team. We're gonna read you out right.
Not that kind of mentality. Of course, we had that
on the Super Bowl team. You feel me had it

a little bit in college. But that's the type of
mentality it takes you win championships. And I learned that
type of mentality in high school. Like, okay, ain't on
the same page, we ain't getting shipped done exactly, and
and a lot of high schools ain't like that. Man.
We I feel like my my high school wasn't like that.
But when my group came through there, we was like that.
You know, I'm saying, that's why we win win the championships.

That's why we went to the playoffs, know what I'm saying,
and stuff like that. So how do you get the
Oregon You say you weren't really on the radar like that,
you know what I'm saying. Yeah, oon Oregon came. Um.
You know, I always wanted to go to Oregon. I
had an older cousin. He used to play running back,
So I used to be at my grandma house all
the time. I see his picture with the Oregon duck on, like, Oh,

that's fire possible. That's your cousin. Y'alla ya, y'alla go
to Oregon. So I always wanted to go to Oregon
kind in the back of my head. And uh, my
senior year, like you said, you had a special group
of players. Y'all made the playoffs and everything. We had
special group players. My senior year, UM Hilly touted. Four
guys got scholarships to Oregon. UM and it was the

first time like four players from one high school I
think committed in the same year to one D one university.
So you know, me being hurt bro busting my knee
of my senior year, Uh, they gave me the opportunity
to come up there and walk on with my dudes
with my with my boys and ship. That's what I did.
Oh yeah, I went up there in one year. Like, yo,

I ain't got time to be paying for no school.
I gotta get it right now, right now, right now.
So man, the first year I went in there, my
objective was, like you know what I'm saying, be better
than everybody on scholarship. I figured that's the first way
to catch some attention if I'm better than him, and
you know, on scholarship, so somebody's gonna be looking at
me and then shoot after a year. Man, by the
end of that year, coming into the next spring, bro,
(12:28):
I was starting that corner. Yeah. Yeah, to give me
my scholarship, had to them them uh them uniforms though, Oregon.
They had to have something to do what you want
to go there? Oh yeah that too. But really the
uniforms came kind of like right before I got there,
(12:49):
like that, the whole uniform thing. They were still kind
of like because that happened kind of while we was
in school exactly. Yeah. Yeah, they had like they had
some new union form, but they wasn't like they only
had one uniform. It was new. It was one like
all that ship don't do out the school. It's like, okay, shoot,
when I was in there for four years, we had

two different pairs of new uniforms, so within them two pairs,
it was rereas in a combination. So right, yeah, yeah,
the uniforms was crazy, man, it was cooking. By far.
I got the Unis in college. They ain't by far
got the UNI ship under control. What I'm saying, got
a lot of you to get that, natty though this
(13:32):
year you're gonna do that. But we gotta shot this
year though, because I've done so, got the Unis on lockdown.
I got that. Hey, it's stupid, all right, So look
look you you ground in high school. You don't get
(13:53):
that SCOLLI boom, get there, earn your way on the field,
earn that scolly. Finally, bam, thousand teen get drafted second
round of Cleveland and described that feeling man, after we
played football for free for so many years, right and
then finally bam, we're here in the NFL locker room.
Described that feeling, man, you know, it's hard, right happen.

That's straight joy, but it's just straight joy, like it's joy.
But it's like what type of mentality that I had mentality.
I'm like, yo, okay, I'm I'm I'm here, but now
I need to be there like I'm trying to be
you know what I'm saying, I'm sorry, might be him.

So it was. It was joyous. And I had a
little rookie moment at camp where I was just taking
it taking uh, taking it for granted, kind of like
the position I was in. I came in second round pig,
I was in the O T eight or something, and
I was starting from get go and I just wasn't
on the pital like I had been in high school. Yeah,

I don't know what made me just kind of like
in practice and ship just lacked off a little bit
because it's because we go so long, Bro, I'm telling
because we we played twenty years to get here and
then you get here. It's like I'm here now. I'm
telling you. I did the same thing, Bro, I kind
of come started. I just ain't as serious as I
was my senior year and in college. I just kind
(15:23):
of get off that gas a little bit because you're
here now. But like you said, the type of people
we is, we're straightened up quick. I'm saying, like, hold on,
I'm here now. Let me see if I can be
a first round type of NFL player. Let me see
how good I can be. Like once that game starts
slowing down, that fire get lit again, what I'm saying.
And then when you start playing like them first So

this o t a right when you're getting them games
and you really start out that you're like, I'm nice,
I'm like I'm a rookie, but like I'm out here
playing like, yeah, this is what hey, I could be that,
I could be that. So yeah, man, but it takes.
That's one of the things though, that makes guys like

in college on that I could I could be better

And a lot of the guys we had on our
team that Super Bowl year, they got that. Yeah. For shore,

even the ability to know like, all right, I'm slipping

People can't do they don't even want to do it.

so it do take a lot to even notice it.
Get yourself together to be like I'm gonna tighten up,

you had you had uh Rob Ryan at the gate,

the gate. Man, tell me something that Rock Ryan putting
