Well. Obviously we've been giving a lot of attention to
the podcast, which is exciting, and then working on I'm
working towards my directorial debut. I'm trying to get that
project off the ground, which is fun and challenging all
on its own, right, David.

Nice, Oh, things have been nice and quiet for me.
I just recently moved, so that took up my whole
life last year, getting getting into my new place. But
I've just been dad and as it were, just you know,
hanging out with my kid.

Best times yeah, it's that's been me.

I have been enjoying my two year old daughter and
also not dadding but momming, and that's been a lot
of fun and it's probably one of my favorite things
about life right now. And I've been doing still heavily
involved in all horse things. So I've been doing that
a lot this year and last year and every year

since nineteen ninety six. And this podcast has been a
lot of fun. And I'm working on some other things,
and I've been writing also some projects stuff, and I'm
just trying to keep up with life and doing an
okay job at it.

every time after lunch.

My daughter still talks about it because when she was little,

Well, there are my serious hers is that I didn't
deserve to have it.

My mom celebrated when I turned I don't know. I
definitely wanted me to drive I work, and I definitely
said I'm like, but mom, it's such a long drive
and what if I'm tired? And so I did make
her drive me an extra two years.

But like, I wanted to be able to drive myself
to high school too, and and all of that. But
but so in the end, I amy my friend, my Genie,
helped me get my license and taught me, and I
did a lot of my permit driving self taught, gotcha
my driving record reflects that.

Also, we're also currently trying to get her license.

I finally got my license. It only took me like
eight tries.

Well, when I go to the DMV, because I'm like
so terrible at keeping track of pieces of plastic, I
typically apply for an ID card and a license at
the same time. That way, if I lose one, I
have the other. I'm also on my third passport. That
sounds like none of that inspired.

license like I never had one expired before.

and then when you got older, and then it became

what it was popular at the time, and it was
trying to fit in on the CW or the WB
and kind to keep pace with all the other shows
that we were competing with. But to me, it lost
the plot, Like, that's not what we were. We were
like the Family show. We were like the dinner scene,
the family sitting around the table.

Well. Obviously we've been giving a lot of attention to
the podcast, which is exciting, and then working on I'm
working towards my directorial debut. I'm trying to get that
project off the ground, which is fun and challenging all
on its own, right, David.

Nice, Oh, things have been nice and quiet for me.
I just recently moved, so that took up my whole
life last year, getting getting into my new place. But
I've just been dad and as it were, just you know,
hanging out with my kid.

I have been enjoying my two year old daughter and
also not dadding but momming, and that's been a lot
of fun and it's probably one of my favorite things
about life right now. And I've been doing still heavily
involved in all horse things. So I've been doing that
a lot this year and last year and every year

since nineteen ninety six. And this podcast has been a
lot of fun. And I'm working on some other things,
and I've been writing also some projects stuff, and I'm
just trying to keep up with life and doing an

Well, remember that that was also the transition from the
w B to the c W.

Because our show outlasted our production company, our network, like
we were.

That was probably like four seasons before the last time.

If they didn't cancel Seventh Heaven, the c W would
still exist right now as a as a scripted as
the platform for seventh. No, I'm just saying because CW
isn't really a scripted network anymore, and they still have
a handful of stuff that they're trying to like weed
all that out because still.

But what I'm saying is that they never got rid
of seven.

What year was it seventh. Heaven got canceled seven two
thousand and seven. If they kept it going year graduated,
we're seventeen more years. My god, the c W would

Also from twenty two. She's got a lot, she's got
some good ones. Did you like plading your characters normal
they were kids, teens or adults?

Like kind of like already, I don't know how to
answer that because I was I was an adult and
adult from like I just found that I was twenty two,
not twenty one during the pilot, so but that's me.

I was playing sixteen.

I thought it was fun as kids because we.
Speaker 6 (43:49):
Were all your friends sixteen.
Speaker 3 (43:51):
But as.
Speaker 5 (43:54):
They kep me like sixty or seventeen for like two seasons.

Well they did that with all of them, like randly me.
Speaker 2 (44:02):
They aged me up because I because I played Jesse's
I played Lucy was the younger sister, but I was
actually older than Jesse.
Speaker 11 (44:12):
So oh, I was saying that they were tog up
and down like randomly and at will. But I guess
as far as the younger or older, I liked it
when I was younger because it was all of us
there and I was like with every one of my siblings.
But as I was older, I had a lot more
you know, interesting storylines that that I got to sort
of dive into and you know, act more more acting.
Speaker 2 (44:37):
I think of my favorite, my favorite memories are when
the core of us were together, and I think that,
like I absolutely loved all of our guest stars and
everyone who came on, but like there was there was
just something so magical.
Speaker 11 (44:50):
With everything from one to like seven, except I did
not like scenes or.
Speaker 8 (45:00):
I was getting ready to say that's the thing they
went away from at some point, because at first it
was there was always a meal scene always, but I
think that that's what people really liked, Yes, and eventually
we got we went away from that because everybody had
their you know, ABC storylines that went off into other directions.
Speaker 6 (45:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (45:19):
When I reminisced about the show fondly, I always go
to the early years because, like you said, we were
all there. It was before Jesse left, before you left,
before I left, Like, we were all together.
Speaker 6 (45:30):
It was the family, and this show was more about
the family.
Speaker 10 (45:33):
Interacting amongst USh whereas once once I was a teenager
and then when you got older, and then it became
like the dating sim era where we were doing a
lot of dating boyfriend girlfriend, high school drama, like all
this other stuff are like trying to be sexy years
And that to me was fine. The show was doing
(45:54):
what it was popular at the time, and it was
trying to fit in on the CW or the WB
and kind to keep pace with all the other shows
that we were competing with. But to me, it lost
the plot, Like, that's not what we were. We were
like the Family show. We were like the dinner scene,
the family sitting around the table.
Speaker 6 (46:10):
Yeah, so that's the seam I think of it.
Speaker 5 (46:13):
S They were just long scenes.
Speaker 2 (46:15):
They were just long, long days, and I just sometimes
the whole day.
Speaker 5 (46:19):
Yeah, we spend the whole day in the h I
definitely would would the table myself at the end of
the day.

I didn't know my lines and then had.

The most from the pilot to the end, which which

obviously they like certain stuff was limited when you were
really young, and so they gave you you just were
you grew everybody got to watch you grow or watch
Ruthie grow.

Sorry because you are not Ruthie. Okay, just remember that. No,
but I mean that was the thing. I think. You know,
probably I would say, Ruthie, yeah.
Speaker 2 (47:43):
Yeah, And would you actually, now I'm gonna ask this question.

Do you have a lot of similarities to Matt? Answer?
Similarities are differences.
Speaker 8 (48:00):
I always put something of myself into a character, So
there is something in Matt that is a part of me.
Speaker 5 (48:07):
But I am so the opposite of Matt.
Speaker 8 (48:10):
Yeah, I always, But I mean obviously there's there's I
don't know.
Speaker 5 (48:15):
I'd have to rewatch it and kind of see.
Speaker 8 (48:17):
I mean, because I know there was a lot of
stuff of my of me that I would put in there.
Speaker 5 (48:22):
But what a lot of people don't know. And maybe
I've told you guys this before.
Speaker 8 (48:25):
But there was a time where I some of my
best people's what they think is my best work on
the show is when I was just actually making fun
of my character.
Speaker 10 (48:37):
I was just gonna say that I was going to
be like, I remember, Yeah. There were moments that where
Matt was written in this kind of like kind of bumbling,
kind of cute way where he would like realize something
or go off to do something or whatever, and then you.
Speaker 6 (48:53):
Would play it like I know.
Speaker 10 (48:56):
Barry would written on it, yeah, and I would see
you do that, like I have that yeah.
Speaker 5 (49:02):
Well, and that was one of the things that kept
it interesting for me. But people would be like, oh,
that was great. Was great because it was.
Speaker 6 (49:08):
Funny, but it was funny because you're funny. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (49:10):
I was like, I'm just rip it on my character.
Really is all I'm doing in this scene.
Speaker 11 (49:14):
So you're saying you wouldn't help your sister in the
elevator deliver the baby.
Speaker 5 (49:19):
Yeah, my real sister, you know, I mean.
Speaker 8 (49:24):
Christie, if you're listening, that would be really weird deliver
she shouldn't have a baby.
Speaker 5 (49:29):
But if I did deliver a baby, no, I don't
know what I do. I'm a nice person. I might
help a stranger deliver their baby if they were in need.
Speaker 3 (49:43):
Medical training yeah, and Matt.
Speaker 5 (49:45):
Was a doctor, you know, so you know, I'm yeah.
I mean I just thought it was I don't know.
Speaker 8 (49:50):
I just thought it was just a very sort of
on the no sort of scene, which seemed like something
you know you see in sitcom.
Speaker 6 (49:58):
It was Elevator seven heaven.
Speaker 5 (50:00):
Yeah, it was.
Speaker 2 (50:01):
Definitely like yeah, absolutely, And also, do you remember the
one episode where you helped me get on the cheerleading squad?
Speaker 5 (50:09):
I don't.
Speaker 6 (50:10):

I told you about this, I do, but this was early.

It was early.
Speaker 5 (50:15):
No, Matt was always doing everything to help you know,
you were you.
Speaker 2 (50:18):
Were very because I remember it was just being so
ridiculous because we did it in the gym at the
church and they like did which, by the way, also
I didn't need to do gymnastics to be on a
cheerleading squad, but that's what we put in the show.
Speaker 5 (50:32):
It was like a bounce.
Speaker 2 (50:34):
You helped hold me up and make sure that I
do remember that.
Speaker 5 (50:37):
That was ridiculous.
Speaker 2 (50:38):
And then it was like, but that was absurd, but
then you made it into like the rocky sequence where
like it was like you can do it and you
were yeah, and it was like, so you.
Speaker 5 (50:49):
Don't forget.

That's bad, Lucy, but you you were there, and I
just remember it was so goofy, He's so fun. And
then I actually had my real life cheerleading squad from
my high school come on as an be part of
the team and part of the episode, which was really fun.
Speaker 8 (51:10):
But like, so now I remember because you've talked to
me about this before, and so now I remember a
little bit because there was like a beam, it was
a balance there, right.
Speaker 2 (51:18):
Absolutely, yeah, but hold on, but it was literally like
you were my cheerleader.
Speaker 8 (51:22):
I know this is weird because this has nothing to
do with it, because I always feel like I remember
certain things visually.
Speaker 5 (51:27):
Okay, there was a gym at the church.
Speaker 2 (51:30):
No, we churned like there was like a I think
I thought it was at the church. I think it
was like there was an extra like big like a.
Speaker 5 (51:38):
Room, and then I think, okay, maybe right, Okay.

I also don't mean to go off also be making
this up at the church, I think, so like what
in that building that was next to like the little courtyard.
Speaker 5 (51:50):
Yeah, yeah, there's like a.

Big and I think they just like Sunday School.

Yeah, I think, But now that you're asking me, I
might be wrong.
