Hi, everyone! Today, I’m having a heart-to-heart with you from my kitchen table. I recently came across the word “stillness” and wanted to share what that word means to me and why I’m trying to embrace it – even when it’s uncomfortable. What does “stillness” mean to you?

Sincerely, Janney

Speaker 1 (00:03):
Dear wonderful listener. Yes, I'm talking to you. I am
sitting here in my kitchen table after working out. I'm
doing my journaling, and I came across the word stillness.
And if you guys hear oh yeahs in the background,
hands and stuff, that is Lucy, my housekeeper. She's amazing.

(00:25):
She makes my life better. She's here right now. And anyway,
I'm sitting literally on my kitchen table. I like to
sit here because the sun just beams in so nicely.
I love natural sunlight, guys. So I love to sit
here because I get to look out the window. I
feel the sun. And I recorded my podcast from here,

(00:46):
like the first two seasons and a little bit of
this fourth season actually, and now we're at my office
down the street. But anyway, the point is I am
enjoying this beauty day. And of course I thought about you, guys,
because I came across the word stillness, and how uncomfortable
that it could be. Because I am feeling it right now.

(01:10):
I told myself, as some of you may know, that
I was going to take it slow this year and
do less so that I could have more mental clarity.
But with that also comes a lot of silence, and
I think I was used to the noise, and I
need noise from working and flying and traveling and just

(01:33):
being busy that it didn't give me a lot of
time to really think about certain things that have to
do with my relationship or my siblings, or my career
myself as a person. And right now that I have
a little bit more time, I'm experiencing stillness, and it

(01:56):
is uncomfortable because we are constantly looking for the next thing.
And that's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's not
good for when we're trying to heal, I feel and
level up on a spiritual and emotional level because we

(02:17):
set those things to the side because we're focused on
what's in front of us. So I've been experiencing it,
and I've had rough days, and I thought I would
have less because I'm not as busy, but I am
growing and growing pains are uncomfortable, and I just want

(02:42):
to remind you, guys that I'm on this journey with
you and that I'm just like you, and I have
worries and concerns, and I cry, and I get frustrated
and I get sad out of nowhere, and I'm learning
to release and surrender those feelings to God, and now

(03:02):
in a different way. It's just so different. I don't
even know how to explain it. I think I have
to do a whole episode on Cheguz and chill about this.
But anyway, I want to paint the picture for you
and tell you that it's okay to be in silence,
and even if you feel lonely, you're never alone and

(03:25):
that's when we have to reach into our faith and
stretch it. If that makes sense. So let's stretch together. Guys,
we got this. I hope you have a beautiful day.
Thank you for listening. And I'm going to do one
of these in Spanish. People have been asking me, so
next one will be in Spanish. Lets get mutual and

(03:47):
undid that's all, guys, stillness, what does that mean to you? Sincerely,
Janet eight
