Speaker 1 (00:04):
Bonjoorno, my wonderful listener, my dear listener, I hope you
are feeling amazing. I hope that you feel the love
of God and everything that you do today. That you
see God in the plants in the sky and the
sun and the moon and the stars. That you feel
(00:28):
the presence of the Great Spirit today. That's my wish
and my prayer for you. May the universe give you
a big healing hug. So I'm here sitting on my
meditation Matt. The sun is coming through my bathroom window
(00:49):
because that's where I meditate in my restroom. I don't
know why. It just feels very safe for me. I
have a little altar here, and I love getting sun kissed.
It feels so nice. Banchho's joy today. He's sitting right
at my feet, and I wanted to share my devotional
with you today. Today is the three hundred and eighth
(01:13):
day of the year. I know we're almost at the
end of the year. It's so crazy. So the title
is today I am more alert to the needs of others.
How self sabotaging is my selfishness when I look but
do not see the suffering of others. To seldom do
(01:33):
I notice the courage of those who wake up each
day and do their best with painful circumstances. Today I
will be more alert to the suffering of others. It
is hard to face in ourselves the trait of self centeredness,
but in facing it, we are saved from it. The
only way to truly love ourselves is to open our
(01:56):
hearts to each other. Generosity toward others is an act
of self interest, for in loving others, I attract more love.
May no one else is suffering be meaningless to me
that I might know the meaning of life. Free me
from a selfish heart. Amen. And the reason I wanted
to read this one to you guys is because, as
(02:18):
we all know, there's a lot going on in the world.
There are people starving, being starved intentionally every day, if
not every other day or way too soon. They're being bombed,
and lives are being taken, women and children and men,
and it's just so sad. And the States we're dealing
(02:39):
with immigration reformation in a very inhumane way. In my opinion,
we may not have the same beliefs, but I think
that as human beings we should at least not celebrate
people suffering. Good feel compassion. I'm a very empathetic person.
(03:08):
I feel everyone's feelings, and I'm working on neutralizing that
a little and finding balance in that. But I feel
that people are losing a bit of sensitivity. We're being
what's the word desensitized. I think it's desensitized with everything,
(03:29):
you know, we see way too much. Some people don't
even care. Some people laugh, some people say yeah, good,
they deserve it. And I just could never even if
I don't agree, even if I don't understand, because usually
it's not understanding where the problem lies. It's not even
wanting to try to understand where the problem lies, in
(03:53):
my opinion, So all I'm saying is, let's look outside
of ourselves and our situation and yeah, maybe we're fine.
Maybe yeah we have played on. I mean, maybe we
have food on our plates and money in our accounts
and a roof over our head, But there are people
that don't. Instead of just turning the other cheek, send
(04:16):
positive vibes, send love and light, and if you can't
do that, at least don't laugh at them. At least
don't celebrate people suffering. And that's all I just had
that in my heart to share with you. Guys, I
have a feeling that my listeners are amazing, and you
(04:36):
guys are probably a lot like me. Even when I'm
on the freeway and I see an accident that just
happened yesterday, I was extending my hands and praying for them,
I'm like, God, I hope they have insurance. I hope
they're okay. I hope they didn't get too hurt or
hurt at all. You know, I always do that. I
could just drive by it. It's not my problem. But
(04:58):
I'm sending love and light and prayers and good vibes
to them because I never know, and God forbid that's
me next time, you know. And that's the way we
got to see things. It's paying it forward, and it's energetic,
and what we give is what we get. And we
just have to keep that in mind and do it
from a pure place. Not do it because it sounds right,
(05:20):
or do it because I'm telling you. Let it sit,
let it marinate, and see how you feel and see
if it's something that comes naturally and a desire that
grows more and more inside of you. But always do
everything from a pure place, from a genuine place. But anyway,
like I said, I think you guys are wonderful. But
(05:42):
if this is something you think someone in your life
needs or they need a little more compassion for others,
send it to them. I'm saying this with love and
respect because I always want the best for you, guys.
I want the best for us. I'm learning, I'm growing
every day, and as I learn, as I grow, I
share everything with you, guys. So thank you for being here,
(06:04):
thank you for listening, and go kick but today go
do it. And if you already did and you're laying down,
have a great night's rest a big kiss. I love you, Sincerely,
Janey
