Hello, beautiful listener! I’m so glad you’re here! Today, I’m reminding you that there’s power in saying “no.” Saying “no,” often means saying “yes” to ourselves, and that’s important for our overall well-being. Thank you for listening!

Sincerely, Janney.

Speaker 1 (00:04):
Dear listener, how are you, how are you feeling today?
And really pause before you respond. Obviously I can't hear you,
but even before you respond, internally, really think about how
you're doing. I think we live in a world where
we're accustomed to just saying what's right, what sounds right,

(00:24):
what we're used to, versus really just saying, you know,
I'm all right today, I could be better. Today's not
a good day, but tomorrow will be kind of like
the Carol g song Manyana Si. I love that so
much hope in that song. Anyway, that's not what I
wanted to talk to you guys about. I wanted to
talk to you about the word no. If you listen

(00:47):
to Jigi's and Chill, you know that I talk a
lot about this small, little powerful word.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
I was working out. I'm on my way home from
the gym.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Actually, I woke up this morning at five o'clock and
me meditation, did my red light therapy.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
I feel really good, had a.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Really good workout, and as I was stretching, I was
thinking about the word no and how I wanted to
tell you guys about it. And I'm sure you know this.
I just wanted to remind you it is okay for
you to say no. We don't want to disappoint.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
People, especially the people that we love.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
I think it's easier to say no to people that
we don't like, that we don't enjoy being around. But
with people that we love, we tend to overextend ourselves
and that causes a lot of issues within ourselves internally,
and we become in some way emotionally bankrupt and physically depleted.

(01:50):
It is okay for you to lovingly say no. You know,
I'm not going to go. I don't feel peace in
my heart. I don't really feel I just want to
sit at home today. No, I can't do you that favor.
I'm so sorry, but no, I can't let you borrow
that money. And that's okay. And it's something that I've

(02:12):
had to work through, especially with people that I love
very much and that I would do anything for.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
I started realizing that.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Those people are quick some not all of them, are
quick to say no, or to turn away or to
give me the cold shoulder if they don't like what
I'm expressing my feelings about something. And there's been a
lot of change within myself this year, and that's a

(02:45):
part of it not feeling guilty for saying no and
feeling obligated to say yes. I'm done with that, even
if I absolutely love you, even with my husband, who
I love and I respect very much. I just wanted
to remind you of that it is okay to say no.

(03:07):
It is okay for you to say yes to yourself,
and you should say yes to yourself, especially if.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
It's not harming anyone else.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
That is all, my beautiful listener. I hope you have
a wonderful day. God a bless and Yeah, that's all, Sincerely,
Janey
