Speaker 1 (00:00):
Broadcasting from the Hip Hop Weekly Studios. I'd like to
welcome you to another episode of Civic Cipher, where our
mission is to foster allyship empathy and understanding. I'm your host,
Ramsey's job.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
He is Ramsey's job. I am q Ward. You are
tuned in the Civic Cipher, Yes you.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
Are, and.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Really excited about today's episode because we got some cool
stuff to talk about. We're going to be talking about
the new class, the newly minted class of female democratic leadership.
For those that have been paying attention this week, Democrats
had a good week. It's been a long time coming.
Let a little air out of the ball, but a
(00:39):
lot of excitement going on for the progressive wing in
this country. We're also going to be discussing several reasons
people dislike Donald Trump. I think that folks tend to
lose sight of, you know, really what the what is
on the ground, and you know, people will say things like,
you know, he could your cancer and you would still
(01:01):
hate him, and that's you know.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
I think that people really need.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
To understand how much damage has been done and I
think that it's well stated, that.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
Well documented.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Rather that he has been problematic for some time, and
then we're also going to talk about how Donald Trump
is flip flopping on snap payouts. But Q has been
gone from the show, so welcome back, Q. Have you
been what's the latest?
Speaker 2 (01:27):
First of all, Man, just thank you for supporting me
and my mom, just for the listeners.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
Love on your people, man, love on your family.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
And I'm blessed to have a brother like rams Is
to hold me down as I had to get home
and take care of some family business. And I'm glad
to be back here. Man, and I hear those same conversations.
He could cure cancer, and you still hate him. The
problem is he could learn how to cure cancer, and
he wouldn't unless it was for an insane profit.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
And that's why I hate him.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
We'll get to that and so much more. Right now,
let's get to what's going went on in the country.
This is from NBC News. Zoron Mamdanni has won the
race for New York City mayor. According to Decision Desk HQ,
ushering in a new era of progressive politics in the
city and reigniting the debate.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
Over Democratic Party's future.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Mom Donnie, a thirty four year old Democratic socialist, is
poised to become the first millennial and first Muslim to
lead New York City after a campaign that pulled off
one of the most stunning political upsets in recent memory.
He defeated former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who mounted
a long shot independent bid after losing to Mam Donnie
in the Democratic primary, and Republican Curtis Sowa.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Sliwa.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
I think that's how I say it doesn't matter in
his bid to succeed Mayor Eric Adams. So I don't
know that feels good, man. A lot of people were
looking forward to that. It certainly a lot of New Yorkers,
more than half, we're looking forward to that. Q anything here, bravo.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Yeah, right, And in a very divisive race where establishment
Democrats wouldn't even endorse him, where Republicans and Democrats showed
that they're still Islamophobic, where racism as usual period its
head from under the covers or under the hood, whatever
(03:23):
you want to call it. A progressive, non establishment candidate
who seems to be for the people one, and we
get an opportunity to see what it looks like when
you're governing for your constituents instead of for the corporations.
That paid for your election. So bravo to New York.
As I've began to lose faith in our institutions, in
(03:46):
our electoral process, this one feels good. I won't pretend
that it doesn't. And I'm not from New York. I
don't live in New York, but bravo. I'm proud of
you guys.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
Yeah, and another thing is that for those of us
that want to see Bernie in office, we're going to
get a chance.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
To at least see what holds you know, what.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Is buoyant about a democratic socialist philosophy. So really excited
to see what happens in New York under his leadership.
All right, moving on the new class of female democratic leadership. Okay,
so a lot of key races that you know, people
were watching across the country really went the way of Democrats.
(04:32):
That that just is a truth that no one can deny.
Democrats are not out of the woods, of course, and
they're still along road ahead.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
But it seems that.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Maybe this is a win for Democrats or maybe it's
simply a loss for Republicans. But either way, the reality
that scares a lot of people that we are currently
living in right now, This authority, authoritarian reality that is
reminiscent of Nazi Germany with the you know, the secret
(05:11):
police and the Gestapo, and you know, uh, for all
intents and purposes, a dictator who ignores court orders and
is along been a national embarrassment, who has cost us,
you know, our ranking on the global stage and our
freedom and autonomy as citizens. A person who's declared war
(05:34):
on US cities, who's painted his political opposition as enemies
of the state. You know, uh, these democrat these democratic
women who have won these seats feels like a breath
of fresh air. And you know, in a country where
(05:57):
you know, and Q and I have even had this
conversation back and forth a couple of times where we,
I think, wrestle with the idea of a woman in
a leadership capacity.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
Still certainly at the highest level.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
When we think about Hillary Clinton, we think about Kamala
Harris and their bids for presidents the presidency. It feels
good to see women win. Q and I are champions
of girl power on this show and all of our shows.
We certainly believe that, you know, there's a seat at
(06:32):
the table for all people. It could be black people,
they could be women, They could be Muslim people. I
think that that's what makes America America. I haven't forgot
about the great American melting plotin or have I forgotten
about the great American solid bowl where everybody gets to
still be who they are, but come together and make
the finished product better than what it would otherwise be.
(06:54):
And so it is with great joy that I share
these stories with you today.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Very excited.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
So again the new class of female democratic leadership. All right,
this is from the Hill. Representative Mikey Cheryl, the Democrat
from New Jersey, defeated former New Jersey General Assembly Member
jack Kia Trelley. I think that's how I say it
the Republican in New Jersey governor's race, securing a major
win for the Democrats in their first election cycle since
the start of President Trump's second term. According to Decision
(07:22):
Desk HQ, Cheryl, a fourth term congresswoman representing a district
in northern New Jersey, fended off a competitive challenge from
Kyatrell Trelli, who ran for governor for a third time
after narrowly losing to New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, the
Democrat in twenty twenty one. Murphy is term limited and
couldn't run again. All right, let's move on to the
(07:44):
hill talking about former Representative Abigail Spanberger. The Democrat from
Virginia defeated Lieutenant Governor win some Earl Sears the Republican
in Virginia's gubernatorial election on Tuesday, according to the Decision
Desk HQ, becoming the first woman to serve as governor
to the common Wealth. Her victory in the closely watched
Bellweather state will be touted by the Democrats moderate wing,
(08:07):
in particular as the party wrestles with how to define
itself heading into next year's midterm elections. All right, and
now for the hat trick. NBC News, Virginia State Senator
Gozla Hashmi Sorry on Tuesday, became the first Muslim American
woman elected to state wide office in the US with
her victory in the state's lieutenant governor's race.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
NBC News projects.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Her historic victory comes the same night that former Representative
Abigail Spamberger.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
Who mc NBC News projects.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
As a winner in Virginia's governor race, became the first
woman elected governor in this state. And you know, for
something like that, for again, a Muslim person to have
a moment, a couple of moments, you know, with Mom
Donnie in Virginia's Lieutenant governor race. We know that Muslim
(08:56):
people have had a tough time in this country, particulularly
since two thousand and one. I know of Islam to
be a religion of peace. I've visited. I've visited tons
of countries, but I've visited lots of Islam and countries
as a result of that, and I only.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
Know peace from that group of people.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
And to have them be mischaracterized for such a long
time and further disenfranchised in this land is a heartbreaking
thing to witness is certainly under this administration that is
famous for, among other things, the Muslim band, to see moments.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
Like this happen.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
I'm confident that that community can take pride in the
results of these elections in particular, and I celebrate with
the Muslim community.
Speaker 3 (09:46):
But we're not done.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
Mary Sheffield has won the nonpartisan that Thois mayoral race.
That's Detroit. I'm being funny when I say that the
Associated Press projects Sheffield, who is the city Council president,
will be the first woman to serve as mayor of Detroit.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
So again, a lot.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
Of grow power out there, and I mean women power,
but the common phrases is growth power, so hopefully no
one takes offense to that.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
But again, I'm really excited. You know, we're not out of.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
The woods, but it's nice to know there's still a
little bit of breath in this body and there's people
that are I'm sure very excited to hit the ground
running and opposing some of the cruel and intentional legislation
that is coming out of the current administration.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
So excited to see what comes. Qute your thoughts. Listen,
this is a national platform that we're on. We get
to speak to the people in Los Angeles every day,
which is really really incredible, especially those who are listening
to us in the car we're getting you to and
from work. It feels super special, Like every time we
(11:02):
say that to each other, we turn up a little
bit because Los Angeles means something special to us. Just
talking about his second home being Detroit, but his first
home is right here in Los Angeles, California, Compton to
be specific, my home his second home Detroit, Michigan. I'm
not going to pretend that's not the most exciting part
(11:23):
of the story for me. So what updore to Mary,
shout out to Reverend Sheffield, her dad, who did my
mom's pastoral ordination. A lot of people don't know that.
So Mary Sheffield winning this like one of my relatives
winning the first mayor of Detroit is a black woman
from the West Side.
Speaker 3 (11:42):
You know what I mean, that's a big deal.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
I actually stopped by Mary Sheffield's campaign office when I
was home visiting my mother a couple of weeks ago.
So shout out to Danielle over there at the campaign office.
Shout out to Mary, and again shout out to pastor
Reverend Sheffield. Mom, say hello to them for me, because
I know you'd be listening. You'll be finding a way.
(12:05):
But this is a moment.
Speaker 4 (12:06):
Man.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
We have had discussions about the efficacy of women candidates
and how their capability to win, their capability to run,
their capability to legislate is kind of unmatched. But the
patriarchy still exists. There are still those who question women's
ability to lead, even though they keep saving the day
over and over again all throughout history. Black women, but
(12:30):
women in general, they have the talent, they have the mind,
they have the wherewithal, they have the perseverance to lead.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
We've known this forever. They have the brain power.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
Stop questioning it, stop backpedaling, stop being hesitant. You know,
Ramsey said the phrase girl power, like you said, that's
the common way that it stated. But we do not
mean that to marginalize or shrink or belittle. Women have
the capabilities to do everything, and it's about time that
we start recognizing that. And it's refreshing. And I feel
(13:04):
more hopeful today than I probably have in a year,
you know what I mean. Like watching people show up
and vote, votes being counted and the rightful people winning.
Speaker 3 (13:16):
It feels good. It's refreshing.
Speaker 2 (13:17):
California, do y'all thing man, Shout to New Jersey, Shout
to v A, shout to Detroit, Shout to New York. California,
do y'all thing man. Yeah, it's California. Do y'all thing man.
The Dodgers just one. It's time, you know, nor to
(13:39):
signs ramses No, I get it, Kendrick said, let me
let me add one thing before we before we move
on to Uh.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
It's something I heard. I think it's really funny.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
But there's a saying that I've heard I said before that, uh,
women who seek to be equal to men lack ambition.
Speaker 3 (13:59):
I think that that likely.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
I think that really embodies kind of what we're trying
to say here. So anyway, Yeah, shout out to all
the winners. We'd love to see. All right, let's move
on the several reasons people dislike Trump. Okay, you know,
I'll be honest on this show. You know, we're very
(14:22):
clear about who we are. Q and R are both black men.
We're from big cities, and we like to think of
ourselves as decent people. We certainly do have Christian backgrounds,
so our moral compass is well established by you know,
(14:42):
the principles that one might find in a Bible. Right
on top of that, though, and aside from that, we're
I think we're just decent people. We don't want to
see people hurt. We're not you know, we're not brawler.
We certainly can protect ourselves and our families, but that's
not our way. And I think that at the end
of my life I would hear, if indeed there is,
(15:03):
you know, an afterlife, I would hear something to the
effect of well done, my good and faithful servant.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
This is what I believe. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (15:13):
For certain, of course, but I live my life as
though that's a possibility, and I kind of strive for that.
I want my children to be able to bury a
man that they're proud of. If nothing else, I can
control that much. So when I do this show, you know,
naturally we're going to oppose a lot of what we
hear from this administration. It feels very inconsistent with that
(15:36):
type of morality right that Q and I have. But
we came across a little piece of content or a
big piece of content that we're going to share right
now that really explains the several reasons that people dislike
this administration, and I think there's a lot of clarity
in this moment. So this is going to come from
a content creator. His name is Dean Withers, and he
(16:02):
is again a content creator that we just think the
world of. So without further ado, I will share his words.
Speaker 3 (16:10):
And then we'll reflect on him in just a second.
Speaker 4 (16:12):
So how do you dislike Trump so much? Going as that, Yeah,
I have so many reasons. Would you like like a
single sentence the hecroscraft the biggest point I would say,
So you went like my largest and longest explanation in
so far as I don't like Trump.
Speaker 3 (16:30):
Yeah, sure, are you? Are you positive? It could take
him minute? Yeah, go ahead, I have time.
Speaker 4 (16:36):
Okay, Well I don't like Trump. I typically break it
down in the three categories. You have character, you have
domestic policy, and you have foreign policy. So we're going
to start off with that first. With that first category,
that's going to be character. His character is absolutely abysmal.
First and foremost, he's an adjudicated grapist. The civil Court
determined that he's guilty of graping Eagen Carol in twenty
twenty three. Second of all, he's a thirty four count fellon.
(16:56):
He was found guilty of thirty four felon. He's for
sending hush money to a porn star that he slept with,
cheated on his wife with prior to his twenty sixteen election,
and then misclassified them as business expensive So thirty four
count fellow and adjudicated rapists. Not to mention, he's also
like pretty racist. He told people to essentially not vote
for Obama because Obama was black by saying that he's
born in Africa with no reason, even though Obama has
a birth certificate from Hawaii. He also called for the
(17:19):
death penalty for the exonerated Central Park five years after
they were exonerated, and then in the nineties he called
all black people lazy ninety two, then reaffirmed that something
that he said in ninety seven. On top of that,
he's also incredibly misogynistic. I mean, he's made weird comments
about how he could just grab by the P word
without asking first. He boasted about perving on the naked
bodies of teenage girls and grown adult women at Miss
ten USA and Miss USA, as well as he said
(17:40):
the best thing that could ever happen to a woman's pregnancy.
He sexualized his own daughter, say any dat if he
wasn't his daughter, apparently on the Howard Stern podcast. He
made his daughter a promise when she was seventeen, saying
that he would never date anybody younger than her, implying
that he would date a seventeen year old when he
was forty, as well as he sexualized a ten year
old girl. In nineteen ninety five, he was caught on
a hot mic on it escalator telling a ten year
(18:01):
old girl that he'd be dating her in ten years.
Not to mention all of his involvement with Epstein, I mean,
he was best buddies from Epstein. When Epstein was bringing
children to his billionaire island and sexually abusing them. Epstein
would even tell his victims that he was best friends
with Donald Trump, and he had a frame picture of
the two together on his desk, not to mention that
in two thousand and three, Donald Trumps and Epstein a
(18:22):
letter depicting the body of a naked woman or in
my mind, a girl, with a statement, may every new
day be another wonderful secret. And that's just the beginning
about his character. He's a chronic liar. In his first term,
he told over thirty thousand lives. He's told the largest
lie that any sitting president has ever told when he
denied the outcome of the twenty twenty election and convinced
seventy two percent of all Republicans in the country to
(18:44):
also deny it, instilling virtues of distrust and or civil
electoral processes. He's also a raging narcissist. Once again, he
baby raged the will put the in twenty twenty when
he lost the election, to the point that he literally
tried to rig and steal it back. Third of all,
he's just egotistical power maniac. He doesn't care about any
check nor balance. That's why he called for the termination
(19:05):
or the Constitution in December of twenty twenty two. That's
why he's been firing and replacing judges with no experience
to further his agenda. And that's why he's explicitly violated
the Constitution like seven times in the last two hundred
and fifty days in office, ranging from attempting to take
our fourteenth Amendment rights from us with Executive Order number
one four one six zero, calling for a termination of
the twenty second Amendment when he said he wanted to
run for a third term, or violating the First Amendment
(19:28):
three weeks ago when he tried to ban burning of
the American flag even though the Supreme Court rule does
expressly protected on the First Amendment in nineteen eighty nine. Now,
those are some facts about his character. Of course, there's more.
Let's go and move on to domestic policy. The domestic
policy is just absolutely atrocious. We'll start off with economic policies.
So in July of this year, he passed a four
(19:48):
point five trillion dollar bill, the largest spending bill ever
passed in the American Congress, by the way, So say
goodbye to conservatism in relation to our nation spending her
debt and this four point five trillion dollar bill literally
he read directs and takes money from the poor and
gives it to the rich. According to the Center on
Budget and Policy Priorities, fifty one percent of income owners
in this country are going to be losing money because
(20:10):
of the cuts to Medicaid, kicking ten million people off,
the cuts to food stamps, kicking three million people off,
the cuts to the DOE, kicking four hundred thousand school
children off of free school student launches and free school
student breakfast is just to further fun tax cuts for
the ultra wealthy. Now in America, if you make over
million dollars per year, you're going to be getting an
additional four percent back per year. And that's just his
(20:31):
economic policy. As other very terrible domestic policy, ranging from
directing Scotis to overturned Roe v. Wade, which has now
led to the consequence of sixty pregnant great victims per
day being denied access to abortion in ten of our states,
or sixty six million American women in all fifty states
having their human rights and friendshipon wis walls. We have
other terrible, terrible domestic policy like renaming the Department of
(20:52):
Defense to the Department of War, then declaring war on
American citizens in Chicago and American citizens in DC. But
of course he doesn't care about violent crime as he
suggests he does, which is the reason he says he's
doing this because he pardons seventy two violent offenders that
try to beat up and kill cops on January sixth
at our country's capital, such as DJ Rodriguez, who gave
Officer Fenone a god heart attack by driving a stun
(21:15):
gun into his neck. Donald Trump let him out eight
years early and gave him a full and complete presidential pardon.
Not to mention his terrible immigration policy, you know, the
mass deportation. He wants to remove every single undocumented demmigrant
from this country. That's going to destroy us. According to
the American Immigration Council, if we do that, our gdpeople
fall by projected one point one through one point seven
trillion dollars per year, which is going to destabilize American industries.
(21:38):
It's gonna increase joblessness, claims, it's going to slow GDP growth,
It's going to increase poverty, increase crime, everybody's wealth, not
to mention cost two trillion dollars to do it in
the next ten years, because we'd be removing eight point
three million of our workers and eleven million of our
consumers that pay close to one hundred million dollars per
year in taxes. And so there's a little bit about
his domestic policy that his foreign policy is even worse.
(22:00):
I mean, he's just bending the need to Israel. He's saying, oh,
what do you need from us? You could continue to
genocide more innocent Palestinians or I don't know. He's signing
very terrible agreements with the Congo just to exploit them
for more of their minerals, so on and so forth,
while not ending their conflict with there werewand and in
twenty three insurgents, but claiming he did or imposing tariffs
and every single one of our allies, which has now
(22:21):
led twenty three countries globally to stop all parcelshipments into
this country and is now leading to an increase in
power held by other countries like China, Russia and so on.
Speaker 3 (22:32):
So we'll stop there. That was about ten minutes. All right, Well,
I think that is well cooked. Q Any thoughts.
Speaker 2 (22:40):
I wish you had ten more minutes of him, because
as emotional as I am about forty five and forty seven,
I'm guessing he's as emotional, but he's inventoried and chronicled,
just facts. Yeah, hearing somebody read in a chronicled inventory
(23:04):
of all the awful things that happens makes it very
difficult for someone to just emote back their feelings. He
started with feelings, but let me tell you why I
feel this way and the why it's irrefutable, And he
had plenty, Like you can tell, he had to self edit,
like okay, let me give you a little bit of this,
(23:25):
a little bit of this, and a little bit of this.
But if he'd taken the time to expound, he could
have spent the rest of the evening, I think, the
rest of the day, the rest of the morning, the
rest of the weekend, the rest of the week, you know,
the holiday season, test the season to explain to you
why this dude is awful.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
Today I got time because because today, today I got time.
Speaker 1 (23:49):
Because well, yeah, I don't think, like you said, it's irrefutable,
so you know, for folks that don't know, now you know,
all right, let's talk about the President of the United
States of America, Donald J.
Speaker 3 (24:07):
Trump.
Speaker 1 (24:08):
Trump flip flops on SNAP payouts. All right, I'm going
to share it from Politico. The Trump administration is still
sending partial food aid benefits for nearly forty two million
Americans this month, despite the President's recent threat to withhold
federal funding until the shutdown ends.
Speaker 3 (24:24):
Quote.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
The administration is fully complying with the court order. I
just spoke to the President about it. The recipients of
these SNAP benefits need to understand it's going to take
time to receive this money because the Democrats have forced
the administration into a very untenable position unquote. White House
Press Secretary Caroline Levity clarified in remarks to reporters Tuesday.
The clarification comes just hours after President Donald Trump wrote
(24:47):
on truth Social that money for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance
Program quote will be given only when the radical left
Democrats open up the government unquote. The post seemingly contradicted
his own administration's actions to abide by a federal judge's
decision requiring officials to use emergency money to pay for
at least some SNAP benefits. US day earlier on Tuesday,
(25:08):
had delivered guidance to states on how to fund half
of November benefits. Okay, I'm not going to pretend like
I know everything about everything here, but I do know
a little bit about a little bit. Okay, I do
know that it is possible, and there's precedent indeed, under
Trump's first administration of continuing to fund snap benefits during
(25:34):
a government shutdown. Right, Donald Trump is not the only
president to allow the country to go into a shutdown.
It does happen from time to time, but this is
the only time when people are going to not receive
snap benefits. So, first off, in terms of better, do better,
this should never be on the table because.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
No matter what, no matter who does what.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
If you want to blame Republicans, if you want to
blame Democrats, no matter what your position is, you have
to recognize that the human beings that need to eat.
Speaker 3 (26:10):
Are going to suffer.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
And this has been politicized, right, and it's politicized beyond
the point that it needs to be. If you have
the money to do it and you have access to it,
you're the president, just speed the people figure out the
rest of that stuff later. Don't hold poor people don't
hold hungry people hostage, don't use them as a negotiating tool.
Speaker 3 (26:34):
Right. And the Democrats position, of course, we know this
is hey.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
You cannot We're not going to vote on this budget
resolution or whatever they're calling it until we protect the
healthcare of American citizens. And Republicans are like, hey, we
can negotiate that after the fact, and Democrats are like, ah,
we don't believe you.
Speaker 3 (26:55):
You need more people.
Speaker 1 (26:56):
Right, So this is the standoff, as I recall, you know,
unless something has changed since then, this is the way
that I understand the standoff in the government.
Speaker 3 (27:08):
Looking and so as far as.
Speaker 1 (27:14):
Him doing better by the population, that's the first thing.
But we can move on as far as going back
and forth, Okay, well you know what you're going to get.
We're going to buy by the court order, you're going
to get partial SNAP benefits.
Speaker 3 (27:32):
Then coming back on.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
True Social of all places, it's just so infuriating coming
back on true social saying that the money for SNAP
will own this is a quote, will only be given
when the radical left Democrats open up the government. So
then instead of it being partially funded now will only
be funded when the Democrats open it back up to
(27:53):
only have his pre secretary walk that back.
Speaker 3 (27:56):
You're playing with people's lives and.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
People who live on the ground, people who have to
go to work, people that have to take care of
their families, people who have husbands that they've lost, or
whatever family circumstances are. It doesn't matter because people don't
get on welfare voluntarily. Most people, the vast majority of people,
they don't want to beg right, people do want to
be productive.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
It is it's kind of in our nature to stress
these people.
Speaker 1 (28:26):
I further stressed them out by kind of going back
and forth and being inconsistent about whether or not they're
going to be able to feed themselves and feed their families.
Is a particular form of cruelty, and I think, indeed
it speaks to the narcissism of the president in office
who cannot conceive of what life is like for anybody
but him. And so I know I've said a lot, Q,
(28:48):
And I know that you obviously deserve to be able
to weigh on this too.
Speaker 3 (28:52):
So your thoughts here.
Speaker 2 (28:54):
Throughout the day when I'm trying to choose, you know,
survive out and the where I tend to say and
ramses text or voice notes just venting my mindset because
sometimes you can't scream right, you can't talk about the
things that bug you most to everybody that you encounter.
So the person who I know will understand and hear
(29:15):
and not judge and be a safe space as ramses
and Ramses will know that this is true, because you know,
we don't perform when we turn these mics on.
Speaker 3 (29:24):
We're sharing our truth.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
I've been very, very hopeless since the election in November,
and you know, and driving in traffic today the same.
But we got on and started, you know, doing show
prep and listening to and reading it restores some hope.
Speaker 4 (29:47):
Man.
Speaker 2 (29:47):
And I'm like teary eyed almost trying to have this conversation.
And it feels good to see people fed up.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
Keep on riding with us, says. We continue to broadcast
the balance and defend the discourse from these hip hop
weekly studios. Welcome back to Civic Cipher. I'm your host, rams' Ja.
Speaker 2 (30:03):
He is rams' Ja, I am q Ward. You are
still tuned in to Civic Cipher.
Speaker 1 (30:10):
And we appreciate that we want you to stick around
because this part of the show we are going to
be talking about whether or not Maga ex maga, I
should say deserve forgiveness. There was some some conversation from
dial Hughley on TMZ that has sparked the debate and confident,
(30:32):
I think you and I are going to have some
interesting thoughts on that. We're also going to be talking
about a nationwide economic boycott starting November twenty fifth that
we feel you should know about, and I think we're
going to have to weave our bob Ba segment into
that because it just makes sense. But for now, let's
get to what we got to get to
