but year three in the All Star as a starter,
what's that feeling like?

Speaker 4 (03:26):
It feels great.

Speaker 5 (03:29):
I knew I could be an All Star, but being
an All Star Star for the first time, I'm excited
about it.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
It feels good.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Okay, having a good season so far, y'all going crazy.
A little bit different than last year. But how you
feel so far? Especially how good you playing this year?

Speaker 5 (03:42):
It feels nice to be in the winning category. Yeah,
just jumping from last year to this year. I mean
we're going to the All Star breaks seeming pretty okay. Yeah,
last year's a little wicked. You know I'm saying, we're
going to talk about that.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
We're gonna leave. Yeah, we let that go. It happens
to the best. Come on, know what I'm saying, big
improve of this year? You know your thing?

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Let's start back at it. High school days. I he's
houted player. You know what I'm saying, going on to
high school?

Speaker 4 (04:04):
What was that day? Is like?

Speaker 1 (04:05):
You like, I know, we talked about the nil stuff. Now,
how would you feel if you was in that situation now?
Because you was killing in high school?

Speaker 5 (04:11):
Man, I'll be dressed rolling up in Ferraris.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
I would have used that money nicely. Yeah nice. In
college here I would have been rolling Wait a minute, I.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
Gave you five hundred thousand. You was gonna just blow
it off after good.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
I'm gonna live a dream. I like that. Remember I'm
in college.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Like, you know what, But you're the first person that
came on the show today said you know the twopical
I'm gonna get my mom my house. I'm gonna get
you went straight to the row.

Speaker 5 (04:47):
Hey, I'm gonna look at him for them too, But
you know, I gotta treat myself nice.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Yeah, like you're the reason so respect I'm getting, Cadilla
are getting. She went straight to the whole run. I
like the top of Edgy for show. What was that
recruiting process like for you? Obviously killed in high school.
We'll talk about we end up going. What was that
like for you?

Speaker 4 (05:11):
It was crazy mailbox full of letters.

Speaker 5 (05:15):
It got to the point where I just let my
friends open the letters just for the fun of it,
just packed out. And then it got to a point
where my dad was like a now, like you need
to narrow the list down to let these people know,
Like where you have an idea of going and then
once that happened, I chose the first college album.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
It's everybody made mistakes You all right, gonna say when
she first went there, Wow, shout out to them. For sure,
that's where you had your friends recrument letters. But what
about they weren't getting recruited.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
That would that feel like if you was a friend,
because like when he used to Open My Love, he
wondn't getting recruited.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
So it was kind of like last.

Speaker 5 (06:05):
I mean, they liked it because like a lot of
my friends, they were like they knew they won't going
to college to hoop, just like it was just for
the joy of it, like just to experience things.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
We well, shout out. Shout out to them friends that
you had, because I'll be there breaking up velow for this.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Team. Know where you want to go. I'm like, they
don't know. Open the next one. No, but your high
school record is crazy eighty eight and four.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
I didn't even play much senior year, right because it interesting.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
I ain't played all my so what so that's three years? Yeah,
eighty eight and four? Like who, like, who is the
best competition you played in high school? Because your class
is good too.

Speaker 4 (06:56):
Best competition. Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (07:01):
It's kind of hard. I was kind of like headle
Waters above everybody.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
So damn you average thirty two? He was putting that up.

Speaker 4 (07:10):
He was a gun. Yeah, I think senior, y'all.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
I mean, since you average, I don't.

Speaker 4 (07:17):
We got three.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Story needing me to score them when I ain't have
to pass passed? Here said the letter that passed me
the bar. Okay, I respected. That's good as they should.
Thirty two though, it's a lot of points. Man, You've
always been a bucket getter. That's what you do. Yes,

(07:41):
what you average? In high school? He played high school?
He yeah, a similar position.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
He was like, no, no, no, no, she couldn't go
out me in high school, I had my lord half
was just too big.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
You're post up. Yeah, I was, come on, come to
the Blitzer, be here with the ten and ten guys.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
High school.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
Yeah, I was a five ten part for it, only
by the same height. So how to cook you to
cook her?

Speaker 4 (08:08):
I was a guardian high in the future. I shouldn't
be a five teen.

Speaker 5 (08:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
That's that's why my letters got to the order to
the show. That's how my letters was getting over gifted score,
Who taught you how to hoop like that? Who put
the ball in your hands early?

Speaker 5 (08:32):
My dad he was a high school basketball coach. So
after school, me and my little brother rode the bus
over to his practice. He'll set up like a little
side goal, and me and my abole just hoop the
whole practice.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Coaches, kids, you know what the coach him rast for? Show?
What's your favorite part of your office of game though?
What's your go to?

Speaker 4 (08:53):
Uh? I just like shooting the three?

Speaker 3 (08:56):
Yeah? Well you you getting them up this year? You
ain't been that car then when you first got there,
you just only putting it up like two or three times.
Now you're about six or seven.

Speaker 5 (09:04):
Yeah, I mean like when you have a good fit,
you know it's for you. I feel like within our offense,
it allows us shoot a lot of threes. And I
got the ultimate greenlight. So if I'm open, I'm shooting,
not like I don't even see what my feeted. Okay,
if I'm open, I shooting, I don't know where I
be at.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
I like that.

Speaker 4 (09:24):
I coach a kid like that for sure.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
I don't know if it's good or bad. Go ahead
of your thing now that had like that's got to
be the best feeling ever to have that kind of
green light in that confidence. Man, But you're making it
happen because you're killing, So that's you can't hold back.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
I appreciate it, definitely.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
We ain't gonna talk about the first start, you know
what I'm saying. We treat that a couple of red
shirt years. Now you get to South Carolina. Did you
know you were joining like one of the college basketball's
biggest dynasties when you made that transition?

Speaker 4 (09:54):
Oh? What's crazy is.

Speaker 5 (09:57):
I originally wanted to go to South Carolina at the gate,
but then I wound up going somewhere else. So then
when I decided to transfer from their school, sidelines at
the top of my list. So I went there, and
I knew me going to South Carolina, I have a
chance to win the national championship. And I'm closer to
my parents, like they were only two hours away. So
that was.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
Pretty cool when y'all had a whip there.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
You know what I'm saying, go there the first time though, HM,
if I'm being honest, Coach stay, she built the program up.
They really weren't where like where I wanted to be
at the moment and then so I spawned the block and.

Speaker 4 (10:36):
I'm wrong with that. I've done that a couple of times.
That looked like I wanted to be. Let me get
back there, and that block you definitely.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
Get back.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
You gotta get back home. Sall go make it right.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
Man.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
Shot just tied.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
Heretown finals and that squad agel y'all had at what I.

Speaker 4 (11:01):
Understand, way, I want National chamionship. Look at all, y'all.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Now is your role on the team though?

Speaker 5 (11:06):
You know?

Speaker 4 (11:07):
Score, shoot, win game, that's all.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
Yeah, she's gonna throw that out there.

Speaker 4 (11:15):
I shot.

Speaker 3 (11:17):
Come over there.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
Know anytime you ever thirty two points, you a bucket conversation,
like you say, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (11:28):
I know we didn't work out the first time, but
what you need? He she let me know at the gate.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
Were for sure. What kind of coaches shit? Because you
know having her, you know, being the mix, but getting
the next job. Do you think she could coach her
like the males?

Speaker 4 (13:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (13:15):
I feel like what's cool about cose she's a player's coach.
She cares about you beyond the game of basketball, Like
even to this day, like I still talk texts FaceTime
where he like, she's just like she's for you.

Speaker 4 (13:27):
I think, yeah, she can coach any level.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
That's dope.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
Most definitely man Like you said, she gets a lot
of private man shouts of Don Stoley wanted the best
to do it all right, you go to South Carolina,
had no business.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
Now it's time to move on. But they feeling like
getting drafted. You know it's crazy.

Speaker 5 (13:42):
I almost missed the draft deadline because I had an
extra year of college. So we won national championship and
then I had to decide like if I wanted to
declare or come back another year. So then I literally
had like maybe like four fires to decide if I
wanted to go not. And then I met with the
active advisor and he was like, well, whether you still go,

(14:05):
you'll graduate the same. So I sid high and I'm out,
Oh yeah, for sure, go follow the dreams.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
If the nil was crazy back, then would you stay
for that fifty Yeah at South Carolina?

Speaker 5 (14:17):
But but hopefully you know your deals follow you to
the pros. So draft start high. I'm hot right now.
I'll probably would go because my dress start high. I
ain't gonna play with it.

Speaker 4 (14:32):
I feel that I respect that.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
Do you think, like for the ladies just have to
go to school that many years before you entered the draft?
How do you feel about that?

Speaker 5 (14:42):
Well, honestly, if the pay and the w went up,
then I think you should decide. But as of right now,
I'll be smart and finish out my four get my degree.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
Okay, yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
He's a lot of talk, like like with Juju or
stuff like that, like she gonna say the full time ago.

Speaker 4 (14:58):
I'm like, well, I won't be. She stayed because they
and I it is healthy.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
Like you said, some of that stuff will travel with
certain people, probably hurt obviously with Nike ouh things.

Speaker 4 (15:05):
She's gonna be a star regards. But for some other
people that's a simple decision. No, I am back.

Speaker 5 (15:10):
Yeah, if I didn't have no pro aspirations Otter, I'm staying,
I'm milking all them COVID years all day.

Speaker 4 (15:15):
I like her, like yeah all that.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
Yeah it was good.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
But y'all, all right, obviously, when Crazy get drafted to Dallas,
you know what I'm saying, shout out to the wings.
What's that transition period? Like from playing it as an
ambishop becoming the pro.

Speaker 4 (15:33):
I mean it was fun at first.

Speaker 5 (15:35):
It's pretty eye opening because like in college playing with
your age range, then.

Speaker 4 (15:40):
You get to pros.

Speaker 5 (15:41):
These women got families and babies and mama strength and
stuff like you're playing anywhere from twenty three to down
there forty. So it's just like it was different. But
when I first got lead, death was eye opening.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
All right, what's that rookie moment? Like, what's y'all I'm official? Now,
what's that that moment that player?

Speaker 4 (15:58):
What happened? Well, I'm in my rookie year. First game
of the season. I was a starter.

Speaker 5 (16:05):
I had to guard downa Trozi in her prime, and
then the next game right after I had the guard
sam On Augustus and Maya Moore. We just Maya Moore,
So I definitely got mom hit a game winner. So
in my face about the.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
Game, tough Simon or do Diana or Maya Moore?

Speaker 4 (16:30):
I mean she from a for ness like get busy
with it. Yeah, Mom, good, you could hand right in
her face. She's still gonna and Maya she could.

Speaker 5 (16:46):
She's just so smooth of her game, like she'll be like,
I'm Finnah shoot this three, and you know she's about
to shoot the three and she's still catching your face.
So those are my welcome moments, the hell of a
welcome moment seeing my joint to the stands. It was
that I played against the Dynasty Mayer.

Speaker 4 (17:03):
Long they won three or two how many years they wanted?
I know at least two for sure.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
They used to kick ass.

Speaker 4 (17:14):
Yeah, the Lynx was.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
Crazy as somebody who I wish I know what the
w having a bigger audience now like Linz will talk
about that later. I wish people could have really seen
how cold Simon Augustus was with those who don't understand
how good she is.

Speaker 4 (17:26):
I wish they could have seen that team for sure,
Like more people seen that team. That fire.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
Was the toughest girl you've ever seen.

Speaker 4 (17:35):
We got a little messed up before.

Speaker 3 (17:38):
Whatever.

Speaker 5 (17:40):
Crazy Huh Kathy Kaffy had that, Yeah she had that
wiggle two. Yeah, I was in it for my rookie year.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
Would you start getting comfortable in the know?

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (17:58):
Comfortable? I'll probably say around like my I've been at
lead nine years. Probably around like my fourth year, fourth
fifth year, I felt like the game was starting to
come to me and the game was starting to slow down,
and I could really like visualize the game because when

(18:20):
I first came in from college, like I'm all at
one speed, like go go, go, go go. Now remember
a sistant coach telling me that, like you need to
learn how to add a pace to your game. So
I think around like year four or five is when
it started to slow down. And then from six on
the nine Christmas.

Speaker 4 (18:38):
The g in the locker room. No, I ain't out.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
I know, Brittany there after year seven you're super, but
but I ain't no get.

Speaker 4 (19:04):
Do you take the rookies under your wing though.

Speaker 5 (19:07):
Yeah, but I'm all of a lead by example type
of girls, Like I'm not vocal, Like if I see you,
I'll be like, you messed up here, but you come
to me and I'll help you out.

Speaker 4 (19:17):
But I ain't one of those, like I'm the head
hunch o here got Yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:23):
Is there a big difference that you have been just
to your game to overseason and when we were playing
the W or is it kind of like I'll just
get buckets regardless.

Speaker 4 (19:31):
Buckets regardless, but I ain't stay long, go see no
season for me. For me, I left in the middle
of the season. Well, it's so different about it.

Speaker 5 (19:41):
It just was like a cultural shock, like I guess
like if I had it was just like construction being
done at like five a m. I go to the trash,
I throw the trash in cash jumping out at you.
So I'm chunking and running from the trash can.

Speaker 4 (19:58):
It's just like that. It was a cultural shot, like
it was different. Were at again.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
I was an Israel.

Speaker 4 (20:06):
About Israel though, Yeah. Yeah, I mean, but I'm a homebody.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
So you like me?

Speaker 5 (20:11):
Yeah, I like he told me I want to survive
over there. Yeah, I just like play video games. Who
want to play once a week?

Speaker 4 (20:17):
Okay, you play video game. I play. I played cod
a lot. Okay, I played Fortnite. I used to be
on the two K wave. You gotta play with yourself
in there. Yeah you you every time?

Speaker 3 (20:29):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 4 (20:31):
You average in your season gays. But what was that
like when you say yourself in a video game? No,
it was cool.

Speaker 5 (20:43):
You know, growing up, like women weren't in like video games.
So like once we finally like got put in a
video game, it was cool. Like anytime I get a
chance to hoop muscle on hoop and mussel, I feel
that that's what I be on. You gotta create your player.
You put yourself up the ninety nine. No, I use
my regular stats, but I just know my cadence and stuff.
Using your regular stas my regular soup.

Speaker 4 (21:07):
You know everything. Three I'm out here, ain't no what.
I just turned the stampa off. Oh wow, you playing
like my nephew.

Speaker 3 (21:19):
For sure.

Speaker 4 (21:20):
No injuries, no fatigue. That's dope. That's dope for sure.
But one of my favorite things about the game.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
You a bucket, So watching you with a three on
three letty, you just got to cook, like I know,
that's a little bit different in playing double, like nah,
just go kill Oh.

Speaker 5 (21:35):
Yeah, cuzin the three on three is you on the island,
So you gotta learn how to get buckets, and you
gotta learn how not to get buckets.

Speaker 4 (21:43):
It on you because you ain't got no help, no schemes.

Speaker 5 (21:46):
Yeah, one wibble wabble to the basket is old with
and everybody get to see it.

Speaker 4 (21:50):
I got to add that to my my new my
new little joint wibble wobble. What's that? What that wib
looks like? You ain't got no will get off my Yeah.

Speaker 3 (22:04):
Though, that's fire part of the NBA, with the w
n B A with that they needed for the NBA.
We'll all start weekend like at least three or three.
If you ain't gonna run the ones running three all three.

Speaker 4 (22:14):
That'd be smooth. Ask you about that. You pretty much
want everything.

Speaker 3 (22:21):
Three.

Speaker 4 (22:21):
How would you feel the W and surt the awards matchup?
That'd be fi Yeah, it'd be cool.

Speaker 5 (22:27):
We'll have to put more rules in place because we
did a one B one tournament on rival. Yeah, yeah,
that was that was brutal. They're gonna have to split
the posting guards up.

Speaker 4 (22:36):
Yeah, that was that was I like that.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
I know they should probably switch it up just for fairs,
but I like that. Everybody around just who gonna get
it the best understand that.

Speaker 4 (22:44):
But like it ain't fair.

Speaker 5 (22:45):
Yeah, nah, I can't guard No. Six five girl, You
just back me down the whole game, Like.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
If they do it like that, though they keep they
just put a shot clock up though, just a quick
shot fifteen seconds.

Speaker 4 (23:01):
Yeah they had what was it though? It just wasn't like, uh,
that's what happened. She said, they need to put it on,
saying but in the guards.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
Or making like three dribbles.

Speaker 4 (23:14):
Yeah, we did three droops and then I can yeah anybody.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
Yeah he'll get to it with three drives.

Speaker 4 (23:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
Now I'm gonna say, what's that benefit like of you
starting off? You know, I'm saying sometimes you had to
go overseas and get the extra bread between seasons. Now
you got a league like Unrival that she got stars
in the running gets stars playing in. It was it
like to go have an off season places where you
can play against talent and get to show a little
bit more of your game as well.

Speaker 4 (23:38):
I mean it's nice.

Speaker 5 (23:38):
I feel like that's what helped me, like have such
a succession I had this season, Like in the off season,
I get to train with top level athletes, get to
play against top up level athletes the whole off season,
so I think it's smooth. So then we come to
the W season. I already know your Caden, So now
you have to do research. You have to scoutin in

(24:00):
the game.

Speaker 4 (24:01):
She on Kobe type song. Please don't say Kobe. That's
what Kobe will play you so he can figure out
what you do.

Speaker 3 (24:07):
There we go.

Speaker 4 (24:08):
Yeah, so it's not a bad thing.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
That'll be weird. Kobe stands for sure. Uh listen, we
said you got the joint song today?

Speaker 4 (24:15):
What's the like? You know what I'm saying. Being the
Nike athlete, it's amazing you get out of the free gear.

Speaker 3 (24:20):
I like it.

Speaker 4 (24:21):
It's nice. Yeah, that fit cold appreciated. What's that called?

Speaker 3 (24:26):
Like?

Speaker 1 (24:26):
Did that come for your agent or you know what
I'm saying, did you get the call person like, hey,
we try to tap in.

Speaker 4 (24:30):
What's up with it? On my agent? They amazing Clutch
sports day Listen you just.

Speaker 3 (24:43):
Y'all, man, that's a crazy thing.

Speaker 4 (24:45):
I love it to Clutch sports.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
You know cut for the last two months. Have you
seen him at the clutch brushers yet because they still
looking forward. Have you ever seen you a clutch? Okay,
it's been the last three months. You on the right now,
he's a clutch for so everybody saying I'm signing to clutch.

Speaker 4 (25:11):
I figured it out. I don't know when I signed,
but I'll.

Speaker 3 (25:15):
Kick you hooping in though. On the court. What's your
go to one.

Speaker 4 (25:20):
Teammate? Yep, that's fire. Yep. I gotta give me a pariodo.

Speaker 3 (25:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
I've been in the waves of the signature shoes from
some of the w players. You got got a new
joint out, you know, had been going crazy. See she
got the pees.

Speaker 4 (25:33):
I just think it's dope.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
You know, I'm saying that they put more energy into
that department because truth be told, the last two years,
the women's side has kind of held it down from
nikey basketball for sure.

Speaker 3 (25:40):
Yeah, basketball shoes period for real.

Speaker 7 (25:43):
You know you're about to get some peas huh you
some heat for the Star Game? See ye one, what's
shoe you were?

Speaker 4 (25:53):
My son?

Speaker 3 (25:59):
Clear?

Speaker 2 (26:01):
I gotta ask you this. Have you played in the
NBA game? How many points you think your score? M?
Do you think you're a score? Mmmm?

Speaker 1 (26:10):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (26:11):
Because everybody mess up on the defensive end icking slide
and find a gap somewhere the knock a shot down.

Speaker 4 (26:18):
I can leak out and transition get a layer.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
I like the realistic on that. She ain't say sher
ice sold nobody. She said, I'm gonna find my way.

Speaker 4 (26:25):
I know my game.

Speaker 3 (26:28):
She might cross half quarter pull up.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
She can definitely shoot that thing. So yeah, she probably
get a three off the show, but show for sure.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
All right, w weekend, Well we look like you know
what I'm saying, you got a lot to defend this weekend?

Speaker 4 (26:43):
Are we feeling how?

Speaker 1 (26:44):
Mom?

Speaker 3 (26:44):
Man?

Speaker 4 (26:45):
I got my three point? I got you in a
three point contest.

Speaker 3 (26:47):
We just did it this morning.

Speaker 4 (26:49):
You know, some time to be confident. If I could
tap in or out, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (26:54):
You know I going there, I'd be chilling like because
I don't want to add no press to myself like
it is he did.

Speaker 4 (27:00):
I'm just here to have fun, do y'all.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
Do y'all competing like I did the Skills Challenge before
and we didn't. We were competing, but not for real?
Are you trying to win?

Speaker 4 (27:09):
For real? Oh? Yeah, okay, money online? I I go
hard Okay, I like her.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
Man that chicken. Yeah, so yeah, it's safe to say
she's gonna win her again.

Speaker 3 (27:21):
This crazy to run through the That's fine.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
You ain't hired a three point everything, and now you're
the All Star starter. You gotta go for m v P.
That would be nice.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
Seven threes, seven threes.

Speaker 4 (27:42):
He's got. He's trying right now, sad do that. Can't
do that to her, You can't do it.

Speaker 3 (27:48):
We can't work together with that. I'm just telling her,
were you out there, I need you to shoot about
seven threes. We work with our chans, knows I need
that to be thirty zer Rosie ros at the end
of the game.

Speaker 4 (28:07):
