that was going to go and to Norman North anyway,
So that's kind of how I picked it.

But I mean there's only two here in Norman that
I would have went.

ask you that, because you know nowadays kids automatically well
once you get like I don't know how if you
was right high or whatever, but they want to leave

about like staying where you love basically and kill something
in your hometown.

So well that was the thing, like my senior year.
So after my junior year, even all the way.

Through it, it was the thought that I was going
to go to Marlborough and play for coach Boyle down there.

So I was going to go down there and play
for him. My mom went down there and lived at
the campus and everything. But after my junior year, I
went and one peach jam that summer, and I ended
up feeling like I didn't need to leave to go
be a mid Donald's All American and there it is
be able to have.

The schools really want me because I had all the
office at that point, So I didn't really feel like
I needed to leave to go get everything that I wanted,
you know what I'm saying. And I knew if I
stayed here and it worked out the way it did, UH,
that I would have a lot more love staying home.
So I mean, I think I made the right decision
for sure.

Saint Louis Eagles with Jason Tatum when we were sixteen.
I think we lost that game, but we was always
competing and uh we uh even Georgia Stars.

They were really good, and uh, within our seventeen years
just felt so so easy. But we were all the
same age, and uh, some guys were playing up at that.

Because they told me you was averaging like around twenty

and uh, it's just crazy how it happened. Like a

the last second and k had made a layup and
I swear it was like, you can't you can't go back.

we winning nine, you know one of them. You know
what I'm saying.

The team that if the championship game was the semi finals,
like everybody thought us versus team called Mustang who had
won state the year before, it was just for them
and some reason, we beat them by thirty and uh
we were so I mean, we thought we had won it,
you know what I'm saying. And the next day, like
them games is back to back to back, so you
played the next day. I mean, if you're not ready

your season and that's how your your junior or can finish.

I mean his team was way better than mine. I

winning the game, and uh, we ended up playing in here.
We started talking and uh he started talking trash one
of my friends, right, and I don't like that. So
we was we were playing five and he I ended
up having to start talking a little bit and we
started getting into and he brought up how he had

said that year on one game away playing the year

day every day, playing pick up with guys after the
school in the morning, before school, going to work out,

I have it's actually as a hospital connected to it.

So we have Yeah, so if a kid basically braces leg, yeah,
you can go right there and not even get in
the car and drive away.

We have people come in there and get rehab and
use it for for other things other than basketball. But
we have basketball courts, we use it for volleyball, pickball, like,
we have a whole bunch of other events that go
on in the in the facility. So I think it's
where we're putting it to great use for sure, and
it's something that I mean, I'm happy we got to do.

Yeah, that's one thing I feel like that people really
miss so much, especially with the younger generation. Like we
all grew up playing basketball. It didn't matter which love
you played, but she was always in the gym. But
the gym was a safe place to keep people away
from doing other stuff, away from stuff. Sure, home may
be shaky, it was a safe haven. Kids are gonna
go outside play basketball no more. Now, it's like for
you to have something that people can just go and
just beat themselves or be kids or just enjoy the stuff.

I know that's something I wanted to do and we're
gonna put that in. So I mean, I think that's

important for kids to have somewhere. I used as a
school program that my middle school. Like my parents are working,
you have places to go. So I think that's a
big reason why we're using it too. So yeah, nah,
